Operation
Your Key Box comes completely assembled. It is important that you read the entire manual to
become familiar with the product BEFORE you set up and use the Key Box.
1.
Opening the Key Box for the first time: On the Keypad (7) enter the factory preset
Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is 159B. When the Green LED light goes on,
turn the Knob (4) clockwise and the Key Box will open-see Assembly Diagram.
2.
To program your own PIN: On the Keypad (7) enter the factory preset PIN which is 159B.
When the Green LED Light goes on, turn the Knob (4) clockwise and the Key Box will open-
see Assembly Diagram. Press the Red Button (11) on the inside of the door near the hinges.
Select a new PIN, with 3 to 8 numbers, and press the “B” key.
The green light will go on to indicate that the PIN has been successfully programmed. Make
a note of the new PIN and store it in a safe place away from the Key Box.
Test your new PIN before closing the door. Make certain you have a Manual Override Key(8)
available when setting a new PIN or changing batteries in case the door doesn’t open.
Note: The Knob (4) on the Door must be turned within 5 seconds of the green light coming on, or
else the PIN must be re-entered.
Note: If you or an intruder incorrectly enter the PIN, the yellow light will go on. Entering an incorrect
PIN three times will freeze the system for 20 seconds.
3.
4.
Using the Manual Override Key (8) : The Manual Override Keys can be used if you
forget your PIN, if the batteries are not installed in the Key Box, or if the batteries are dead.
NEVER lock your Manual Override Keys (8) into the Key Box, store them seperately
in a safe place.
At the center of the Key Box door (see Assembly diagram) is the Key Cover (5). Remove the
Cover (5) and pull the panel outward to expose the key hole. Insert the Manual Override
Key (8) and turn counterclockwise. Turn the Knob and pull the door open.

Installing batteries: The red LED light on the Keypad (7) will light up when the batteries
need replacing. When this light appears, IMMEDIATELY replace the batteries.
Open the Safe door. Unsnap the Battery Cover (10) from the Door. Remove the old
batteries and install four new “AA” batteries in their place in the battery compartment. Make
certain to align the polarity of the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. Snap in
the Battery Cover (10).

After replacing the batteries, the PIN may need to be reset. To reset PIN, follow instructions
in Step 2 on page 3.
Mounting the Key Box: To mount the Key Box to a wall or surface, use a drill to set the path
for each Bolt (9). Make certain that the drilling path is clear and free of obstacles
such as wires, cables and electrical lines. Use wall anchors (not included) as
necessary. Insert the Bolts (9) (included) through each drilled hole and into a stud to
secure the Key Box to the desired surface.
9.
The Key Box comes with four Steel Hook Hanger Brackets (13). These come in four colors
to match the Plastic Key Hanger Rings which also come in (4) colors.
10.
Install the Steel Hook Hanger Brackets (13) either onto the slots on the inside of the Key Box,
the Door or both. The four Steel Hook Hanger Brackets are numbered 1 through 20. Once
the Steel Hook Brackets are installed, the Plastic Key Rings (12) can be hung on them. The
Plastic Key Rings can be set to correspond to either the number or color of the Steel Hook
Hanger Brackets (13).
Maintenance
1.
Protect the Key Box from moist or wet conditions. Moisture may cause electronic damage in
the keypad or corrosion of the steel.
2.
3.
Occasionally wipe the Key Box and keypad clean with a soft dry cloth or brush.
Occasionally apply a small amount of light oil or lock lubricant to the mechanical lock
mechanism. Be careful not to get any oil or other liquids on or near the electronic
