c onve ntiona l zone s via re m ote ke ypa ds or LECs.

The TS690R use s the Sc a ntronic 500 se rie s ra nge of

wire le ss d e te c tors. The following d e vic e s a re

a va ila ble :

The TS690R is de signe d to m e e t the re quire m e nts

of BS6799 c la ss "III" a nd c om plie s with a ll c urre nt

NACOSS c ode s of pra c tic e for dom e stic a nd sm a ll

busine ss a udible ONLY intrude r a la rm syste m s. The

syste m c a n be c e rtific a te d by a pprove d insta lle rs

a s a Wire fre e "Cla ss III" insta lla tion.

502r Wa tc h Pe nda nt PA

The 502r wa tc h pe nda nt is de signe d for use a s a

pa nic a la rm for the TS690R. The 502r c om prise s a

pla stic wa te rproof c a se tha t c a n e ithe r be worn on

a stra p round the wrist, round the ne c k a s a

pe nda nt or c lippe d to a poc ke t.

The ra d io op e ra ting fre q ue nc y b e twe e n the

c ontrol p a ne l re c e ive r a nd the d e te c tors is

418MHz with a ba ndwidth of 200kHz. The ra dio

se c tion is a pprove d to MPT 1340.

Type " fuse d te rm ina l bloc k, whic h is fitte d with a

200m A fuse . All e le c tric a l c onne c tions should be

c a rrie d out by a qua lifie d e le c tric ia n a nd m ust

c om ply with the c urre nt IEE re gula tions.

1. Re m ove the sc re w from the top of the c ontrol

pa ne l a nd lift a wa y the front c ove r.

2. Ensure tha t the re is no ba tte ry in the housing,

the n re m ove the Printe d Circ uit Boa rd (PCB) a s

follows:

(b) Pull down the pla stic c lip a t the bottom right

ha nd c orne r of the PCB a nd ge ntly lift the

PCB forwa rd.

(c ) Re pe a t with the pla stic c lip a t the bottom

position (ke yhole to the top) a nd m a rk the

c e ntre of the ke yhole position. Re m ove the

ba c k box, drill a nd plug the hole .

4. Sc re w a No 10 sc re w into the plugge d hole .

Re -p osition the b a c k b ox a nd m a rk the

re m a ining two se c uring hole s. Re m ove the

ba c k box, drill a nd plug the hole s.

A 2.1Ah ba tte ry m ust be fitte d to the syste m to

a llow it to func tion during a m a ins fa il c ondition.

The TS690R is e quippe d with a “Ba tte ry Prote c tion”

c irc uit so tha t if a ba tte ry is a c c ide nta lly re ve rse

c onne c te d or its volta ge is be low 4V. To c le a r the

fa ult sim ply re c onne c t or re pla c e the ba tte ry a s

a ppropria te .

5. Re -position the ba c k box a nd pa ss a ll c a ble s

into the ba c k box via the a ppropria te c a ble

e ntrie s.

6. Se c ure the ba c k box using not le ss tha n 30m m

x No 10 sc re ws through the thre e se c uring

hole s.

7. Re -fit the PCB a sse m bly by a ligning the top of

the PCB into the 2 supports in the top of the

housing e nsuring tha t the e dge s of the boa rd

sit be twe e n the 2 fla nge s a nd tha t a e ria l is

positione d a s shown in figure 2. Push the

bottom of the PCB until it c lic ks in pla c e .

8. Re -c onne c t the AC le a ds to the tra nsform e r.

9. If a re m ote ke ypa d is be ing fitte d to the syste m ,

re fe r to pa ge 12.
