Unpacking  
When unpacking your Digital Fish Scale, check to make sure that the product is intact and  
undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS  
at: 1-800-444-3353.  
Operation  
Your Digitial Fish Scale requires no assembly. It is important that you read the entire manual to  
become familiar with the product BEFORE you use the Digital Fish Scale.  
Do not bump or shock the Fish Scale when it is in operation or being transported. Rough  
treatment may damage the highly sensitive mechanism.  
Weighing the Fish

Insert a 9V battery (not included) into the Fish Scale-see Changing Battery section for  
additional information.  
Press the On/Off Button down for two to three seconds to turn the Scale “ON” and  
activate the LED light. The LCD readout will display 0.00 and will flash when power is “ON”-  
see Figure 1.

The Fish Scale can be held by hand or hung from the loop at the top of the Scale. Place the  
fish onto the Hook. Press the Hold Button down while the fish is being weighed; the Hold  
Indicator light will go on-see Figure 2.  
The Scale will register the weight of the fish in Lbs. Pressing the Hold Button down a  
second time will bring the Scale back to zero.  
Total Weight for More Than One Fish

Each time you weigh an individual fish, press down on the Memory Button. The memory  
indicator light will go on-see Figure 2. Press the Total Button down to total the cumulative  
weight of each fish that was entered into Memory. Up to ten fish can be entered into  
Memory and added together to obtain a total weight.  
To clear the Memory, press the Memory Button for two seconds. The LCD readout  
will flash four times to verify that the memory has been cleared.

Installing and Replacing the Battery

Press down on the release tab on the back of the Fish Scale to open the Battery  
Compartment.  
Insert one 9V battery (not included) and line up polarity with the markings indicated in the  
Battery Compartment.  
When the Battery is running low, the LCD readout will show a picture of a battery. This  
indicates that the battery needs replacing.

Protect the Digital Fish Scale from rough use. It is susceptible to damage from being  
dropped, struck, or other abuse.  
Protect the Digital Fish Scale from exposure to water or corrosive materials. It should be  
kept clean and dry. Occasional cleaning with a clean rag will extend its life and good  
appearance.

Lock it up and store in a dry location to inhibit rust. Keep out of the reach of children.  
Troubleshooting

LCD flashes continously:  
Battery charge is to low. Replace battery.  
Display doesn’t change when Buttons are pushed: Circuit needs to be reset. Remove the  
battery, wait 30 seconds, replace battery and turn the Fish Scale “ON”.

LCD display does not show: Battery has poor connection or battery voltage is to low. Take  
battery out and adjust connections. Replace the battery as necessary.  
No replacement parts are available for this product.
