No adjustment is required to operate is monophonic
mode.
For monophonic playback of recordings, the left
and right channels should be connected in parallel.
This can be done by setting the the function switch
on the preamplifier to “A+B” or “MONO”.
STYLUS REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
STYLUS CLEANING
Replace the stylus as shown above. Always hold
the stylus only by the plastic grip; take care not to
touch or damage the diamond tip or cantilever. Do
not force.
Use a soft brush with alcohol or an alcohol-distilled
water solution. Brush only from back to front as
shown. Commercial cleaning solutions may cause
stylus damage.
TO PRESERVE STYLUS LIFE
1. Protect stylus with stylus guard when dusting turntable.
2. Regulate tonearm set-down to prevent stylus from striking edge of turntable or record.
3. Do not handle tonearm while record is being played. Use cueing device if possible.
4. If manual set-down is necessary, release arm as soon as stylus engages groove.
5. Do not activate arm without record on turntable.
6. Do not use damaged records.
7. Make certain cartridge is correctly mounted in tonearm and stylus is properly inserted in cartridge.
8. Follow turntable or tonearm instructions for antiskating force.
USE ONLY SHURE REPLACEMENT STYLI
A Shure replacement stylus will restore your Shure cartridge to its originally specified performance level.
We strongly advise against the use of non-Shure styli with our cartridges. Such imitations will not per-
form as well as a stylus designed specifically for your Shure cartridge. Such imitations may also cause
permanent damage to your records –– severe mistracking can ruin a record in a single play.

USO CON UNA CAPSULA ESTEREOFONICA SHURE
No se requiere ajuste alguno para funcionar en modo monofónico.
Para la reproducción monofónica de grabaciones, conecte los ca-
nales izquierdo y derecho en paralelo. Esto se logra colocando el
conmutador de función del preamplificador en la posición ”A + B”
o ”MONO”.
DESMONTAJE Y SUSTITUCION DE AGUJA
LIMPIEZA DE LA AGUJA
Reemplace la aguja de la manera ilustrada arriba. Sujete la aguja
solamente por su empuñadura de plástico; tenga cuidado de no
tocar ni dañar la punta de diamante o la viga de soporte. No la fuer-
ce.
Utilice un cepillo suave con alcohol o con una solución de alcohol
y agua destilada. Cepille únicamente en el sentido indicado: de
atrás hacia adelante. Las soluciones limpiadoras comerciales
pueden dañar la aguja.
PARA PROLONGAR LA VIDA UTIL DE LA AGUJA
1. Proteja la aguja con una cubierta protectora al limpiar el plato.
2. Regule la colocación del brazo para evitar que la aguja golpee el borde de la tornamesa o del disco.
3. No manipule el brazo mientras se está reproduciendo el disco. Utilice el dispositivo elevador del brazo, de ser posible
4. Si es necesario bajar el brazo manualmente hasta el disco, suéltelo tan pronto como la aguja entre en el surco.
5. No active el brazo si no hay disco en el tornamesa.
6. No use discos dañados.
