DFI U340 Series
Need the power of an Intel Pentium D or Core 2 Quad processor and up to 4 expansion slots? The
U340 can be your best choice. It is a light industrial computer with 4 expansion slots in the smallest
possible Micro-ATX enclosure. The placement of this U340 is also flexible... it can be placed vertically
or horizontally inside your equipment or machine. The optical drive, switch, indicators
and all the I/O ports are on the same side so that it is easy to access these items during
installation or setup in your equipment or machine.
The U340 series is made for a wide range of Micro-ATX sized main boards. All our
main boards include on-board video, integrated network, audio, serial and USB ports.
These DFI-ACP boards support the Intel Celeron M, Pentium M, Celeron D, Pentium 4,
Pentium D, Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors. The processor
choices range from low-power, low-heat to high-performance quad-
core. There are more options for the memory size, hard drive capacity
and CD/DVD-drives. The combinations are nearly endless, ensuring
you will get the best configuration for your application.
All these U340 systems have on-board video
output, but for even more video features
such as to drive multiple monitors, you can
plug in a PCI Express video board, or use a
DFI ADD2 Dual-DVI card for the U340/470.
The U340 Series’ galvanized steel frame
construction makes our solution durable,
yet lightweight. It is ideal for embedded
applications such as digital signage, gaming,
automation, multimedia kiosks, or any other application where you need a
powerful computer and room to add your PCI expansion boards.
Our Micro-ATX industrial main boards are different from those available in the commercial market. DFI
products use boards designed and manufactured by the DFI Applied Computing Products division,
at our Taiwan manufacturing facility. All DFI-ACP main boards are guaranteed to be available for 3
to 5 years from the date the boards were introduced. The DFI-ACP boards are based on embedded
roadmap components for the main chipset and processors. If a product does go end of life, notice
is sent six months before this DFI-ACP board is
discontinued, and a replacement is recommended for
evaluation.
All our DFI-ACP products utilize technologies and
technical information learned from our high-volume
commercial main boards that have been shipped by
the hundreds of thousands. Along with our upgraded industrial components found on these boards,
all this knowledge and experience translates to a more stable and compatible platform for your
embedded and industrial applications.
