Using your headset
Connecting your headset
To connect your headset:
• Plug your headset’s USB connector into an available USB
port on your computer.
Your computer may automatically recognize your
headset. If an installation wizard opens, follow the online
instructions to install the required driver.
Testing your headset
To test your headset in Windows:

Put your headset on and make sure that the microphone
is near your mouth.

Slide the On/Mute control to the On position.
Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, then click
Sound Recorder.

Click the record icon, speak into the microphone for a
few seconds, then click the stop icon.
Click the play icon. If you hear your recording, your
headset is installed correctly.
Adjusting volume
To adjust the recording and playback volume in Windows:

Click Start, Control Panel, then click Sound and Audio Devices.
Click the Audio tab, then make sure that your headset is
selected in the Default device lists under Sound playback and
Sound recording.

Click the Volume tab, then make sure that the Mute check
box is not selected.

Slide the Device volume slider to the left to decrease the
volume or the right to increase the volume.

Troubleshooting
• Make sure that your headset is plugged correctly into a
USB port on your computer.
• Make sure that the volume and playback controls are
turned up to a reasonable level and that they are not
muted. See “Adjusting volume” on page 5.
• If your computer “locks up” when you connect your
headset, your computer may not have standard USB
ports. This can happen with older computers. Contact
your computer manufacturer for help.
• If your headset is turned on, but you are not hearing
sound, make sure that your headset is selected as the
default audio device. See “Adjusting volume” on page 5.

One-year limited warranty
Rocketfish Products (“Rocketfish”) warrants to you, the original
purchaser of this new RF-9640 (“Product”), that the Product shall be
free of defects in the original manufacture of the material or
workmanship for one (1) year from the purchase of the Product
(“Warranty Period”). This Product must be purchased from an
authorized dealer of Rocketfish brand products and packaged with
this warranty statement. This warranty does not cover refurbished
Product. If you notify Rocketfish during the Warranty Period of a
defect covered by this warranty that requires service, terms of this
warranty apply.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period lasts for one year (365 days), beginning on the
date you purchased the Product. The purchase date is printed on the
receipt you received with the product.
What does this warranty cover?
During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the
material or workmanship of the Product is determined to be
defective by an authorized Rocketfish repair center or store
personnel, Rocketfish will (at its sole option): (1) repair the Product
with new or rebuilt parts; or (2) replace the Product at no charge
with new or rebuilt comparable products or parts. Products and
parts replaced under this warranty become the property of
Rocketfish and are not returned to you. If service of Products and
parts are required after the Warranty Period expires, you must pay all
labor and parts charges. This warranty lasts as long as you own your
Rocketfish Product during the Warranty Period. Warranty coverage
terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the Product.

d’écoute
Connexion du casque d’écoute
Pour connecter le casque d’écoute :
• Connecter le casque d’écoute USB à un port USB
disponible de l’ordinateur.
L’ordinateur peut reconnaître automatiquement le
casque d’écoute. Si un assistant d’installation s’ouvre,
suivre les instructions à l’écran pour installer le pilote
requis.
Test du casque d’écoute
Pour tester le casque d’écoute avec Windows :

Mettre le casque d’écoute en marche et vérifier que le
microphone est proche de la bouche.
Mettre l’interrupteur On/Mute (Marche/Mise en sourdine)
sur On (Marche).
Cliquer sur Start (Démarrer), All Programs (Tous les
programmes), Accessories (Accessoires), Entertainment
(Divertissement), puis sur Sound Recorder (Enregistrement
du son).

Cliquer sur l’icône de l’enregistrement, parler dans le
microphone pendant quelques secondes, puis cliquer
sur l’icône arrêt.
Cliquer sur l’icône de lecture. Si l’enregistrement
peut-être entendu, le casque d’écoute est installé

Réglage du volume
Pour régler le volume d’enregistrement et de lecture avec Windows :

Cliquer sur Start (Démarrer), Control Panel (Panneau de
configuration), puis sur Sound and Audio Devices (Sons et
périphériques audio).

Cliquer sur l’onglet Audio, puis vérifier que le casque
d’écoute est sélectionné dans les listes du Périphérique
par défaut (Default device), sous Sound playback (Lecture
audio) et Sound recording (Enregistrement audio).

Cliquer sur l'onglet Volume, puis vérifier que la case à
cocher Mute (Mise en sourdine) n’est pas cochée.
Faire glisser le curseur Device volume (Volume du
périphérique) vers la gauche pour diminuer le volume ou
vers la droite pour l’augmenter.
Conseil : Il est aussi possible d’utiliser les commandes du
volume et de la mise en sourdine sur le casque d’écoute pour
régler le son ou le mettre en sourdine.

Problèmes et solutions
• Vérifier que le casque d'écoute est correctement
connecté à un port USB de l’ordinateur.
• Vérifier que les commandes du volume et de la lecture
mis en sourdine. Voir « Réglage du volume » à la page 17.
• Si l’ordinateur se fige lors de la connexion du casque
d’écoute, il se peut que ses ports USB ne soient pas
standard. Cela peut se présenter avec de vieux
ordinateurs. Contacter le fabricant de l’ordinateur pour
toute assistance.
• Si le casque d’écoute est sur marche, mais qu’aucun son
n’est audible, vérifier si le casque d’écoute est bien
sélectionné comme périphérique audio par défaut. Voir
« Réglage du volume » à la page 17.

Localización y corrección de fallas

Garantía
Garantía limitada de un año
Rocketfish Products (“Rocketfish”) le garantiza a usted, el comprador
original de este nuevo RF-9640 (“Producto”), que éste se encontrará
libre de defectos de material o de mano de obra en su fabricación
original por un periodo de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de compra
del Producto (“Período de Garantía”). Este Producto debe ser
comprado en un distribuidor autorizado de productos de la marca
Rocketfish y empacado con esta declaración de garantía. Esta
garantía no cubre Productos reacondicionados. Si notifica a
Rocketfish durante el Período de Garantía sobre un defecto cubierto
por esta garantía que requiere reparación, los términos de esta
garantía se aplican.
¿Cuánto dura la garantía?
El Período de Garantía dura por un año (365 días) a partir de la fecha
en que compró el Producto. La fecha de compra se encuentra
impresa en el recibo que recibió con el producto.
¿Qué es lo que cubre esta garantía?
Durante el Período de Garantía, si un centro de reparación
autorizado de Rocketfish concluye que la fabricación original del
material o la mano de obra del Producto se encuentran defectuosos
Rocketfish (cómo su opción exclusiva): (1) reparará el Producto con
repuestos nuevos o reacondicionados; o (2) reemplazará el Producto
con uno nuevo o con uno reacondicionado con repuestos
equivalentes. Los Productos y repuestos reemplazados bajo esta
garantía se volverán propiedad de Rocketfish y no se le regresarán a
usted. Si se requiere la reparación de Productos y partes después de
que se vence el Período de Garantía, usted deberá pagar todos los
costos de mano de obra y de repuestos. Esta estará vigente con tal
que usted sea el dueño de su Producto Rocketfish durante el
