14. CAUTION: HOT SURFACE. After the appli-
ance is turned off, the heated surface may
remain hot or warm for an extended period of
time.
15. Do not use with broken warming surface. If
glass surface should break, cleaning solutions
and spillovers may penetrate the broken glass
and create a risk of electric shock.
16. Clean glass with caution – if a wet sponge or
cloth is used to wipe spills on a hot cooking
area, be careful to avoid steam burn, some
cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied
to a hot surface.
17. To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only
in removable container.

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
NOTE: Longer extension cords may be used if
care is exercised in their use. If a longer extension
cord is used:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles
or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not
immerse warming tray, cord, or plug in water
or other liquid.
b. The cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool completely before stor-
ing or cleaning.
6. Do not operate warming tray with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunc-
tions, or has been damaged in any manner.
Contact Customer Service Center to return for
examinations, repairs or adjustments.

A short power supply cord is provided to reduce
the risk resulting from becoming entangled or trip-
ping over a long cord. AN EXTENSION CORD MAY
BE USED WITH CARE: HOWEVER, THE MARKED
ELECTRICAL RATING SHOULD BE AT LEAST AS
GREAT AS THE ELECTRICAL RATING OF THE
WARMING TRAY.
7. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer may
cause injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE
1. The warming surface is ideal for any oven-

Any dish can go right from the oven to the tray
top to keep foods warm and ready to serve.
Food should never be placed directly on the

settings are ideal for warming baked goods as
well as keeping melted chocolate at the proper
consistency.
SUBSEqUENT USE:
1. This warming tray is equipped with a control
knob for the adjustable thermostat. Heat rang-

control dial until light comes on – this indicates
the tray is warming up. Then position the dial to
your desired heat level and preheat for at least
5 minutes before placing pans on tray.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY
California law provides that for In-Warranty Service,
California residents have the option of returning a
nonconforming product (A) to the store where it was
purchased or (B) to another retail store that sells Cuisinart
products of the same type. The retail store shall then,
according to its preference, either repair the product, refer
the consumer to an independent repair facility, replace
the product, or refund the purchase price less the amount
directly attributable to the consumer’s prior usage of the
product. If neither of the above two options result in the
appropriate relief to the consumer, the consumer may then
take the product to an independent repair facility if service
or repair can be economically accomplished. Cuisinart and
not the consumer will be responsible for the reasonable
cost of such service, repair, replacement, or refund for
nonconforming products under warranty. California
residents may also, according to their preference, return
nonconforming products directly to Cuisinart for repair
or, if necessary, replacement by calling our Consumer
Service Center toll-free at 800-726-0190. Cuisinart will be
responsible for the cost of the repair, replacement, and
shipping and handling for such nonconforming products
under warranty.
