USING YOUR INDUCTION COOKTOP
How Induction Works:
l a e s t u f a n o
d e
l i o s a d e c u a d o s n o
The element beneath the GLASS COOKTOP produces a magnetic field
that causes the electrons in ferrous (containing iron) metal pans to vibrate
and produce heat.

f o n d o d e l
The GLASS COOKTOP itself does not directly heat, although it will become
hot from the heat of the pan. All heat from induction is produced in the
cooking pan itself, which is why induction is such an efficient means of
heating. There is no heat loss as there is when using an electric or gas
stove. The induction cooktop will not begin to operate unless
induction-ready cookware is properly in place.

Once the induction cooktop’s element is activated, it will begin to heat
the cookware immediately, and begin to cook the contents of the
cookware.

Selecting the Right Cookware:
When using induction it is important to select the correct cookware. Since
induction uses the transfer of magnetic energy to heat the cookware, the
cookware being used must be magnetic. To ensure the best heating
efficiency it is also recommended that any cookware used have a flat
bottom. The following types of cookware are ideal for use with your
induction cooktop:

not have any induction compatible cookware, induction discs are an
available solution.

HELPFUL HINT:
For a quick test if your cookware is induction-ready, grab a small
magnet (one from the refrigerator is perfect) and hold it to the
bottom of the cookware in question. If the magnet clings, the
cookware should work with your induction cooktop.

HOW TO CLEAN
Always unplug the induction cooktop and allow it to cool completely
before cleaning. Be sure to clean the induction cooktop after every use.
1. Wipe the GLASS COOKTOP and CONTROL PANEL with a soft, damp
cloth to clean.
NOTE:
Sugary spills can cause damage to the GLASS COOKTOP if allowed
to cake on. Be sure to wipe up any sugary spills immediately. The
GLASS COOKTOP should be wiped clean after every use.
HELPFUL HINT:
Since the cookware becomes the heating element, spills on the
GLASS COOKTOP should not become baked on and should wipe
off easily. If heavier cleaning is necessary, dip the cloth in
toothpaste or a neutral liquid cleaner and wipe until the residue is
gone.
