The Nokia 5300 is the perfect way to take your music with you and make a bold  
statement wherever you go. With the phone cradled in your fingers, press the  
slider up with your thumb. The phone extends, revealing the keypad. Take a  
minute to check out the keys.

1. Display: 240 x 320 pixels that vividly displays up to 16.7 million colours TFT.  
2. Volume control keys ( + ) ( ) : Press to turn your volume up and down.  
3. Radio keys ( ) ( ) ( ) : Press to scan up, activate radio and scan down.  
4. Camera key ( ) : 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom.  
5. Headset jack: 2.5 mm jack compatible with Nokia headset and headphones  
(included adapter enables use with 3.5 mm headphones and speakers).  
6. USB port: Download your favourite songs from your computer with a USB  
cable.

7. Left and right selection keys (

9. Power key ( ) : Press and hold to turn the phone on/off.  
10. Internet access key (

11. Silent ringing tone key (  
) : From the Start screen, press and hold this key to  
quickly silence your phone. Press and hold the same key to restore your ringing  
tone to normal.  
12. Scroll key ( ) : From the Start screen, press the scroll key to  
access these shortcuts:  
Press up to access Gallery  
Press down to access Contacts  
Press right to create a new text message  
Press left to access Call log  
13. Hot swappable microSD memory card: Use up to a 2GB  
microSD card (sold separately) to increase the memory of your phone.

1. Install the Rogers PC Media Player  
Visit www.rogers.com/musicstore , download the Rogers PC Media Player, and install it on your computer.  
2. Put music on your computer  
To import music from your CDs into the Rogers PC Media Player  
1. Put a CD into your computer  
2. Launch the Rogers PC Media Player  
3. Select “Import” under “CD”  
4. Select/Deselect songs, choose the file type (eg. MP3), and select the “Import” button  
Your Nokia 5300 is ready to rock right out of the box. take a look at how easy it is to transfer your music  
from your computer to your phone. See the CD-RoM included for more info.  
1. Connect your Nokia 5300 to your PC with the USB data cable (fig. 2.1).  
2. Select ok to confirm USB connection. (

3. Select Data Storage* on the Nokia 5300. (  
)
Your phone is now connected to your PC as a mass storage memory device (“removable disk”).  
4. Using Windows Explorer on your computer, find the music files you wish to transfer to your phone (usually in  
My Music) and “drag and drop” them to the folder named Music of the 5300.  
5. Once the transfer is complete, select Quit from your Nokia 5300 (  
), and unplug the USB cable  
from the devices.  
6. Enjoy your music!
