INTRODUCTION:

Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini CD-1800X CD player. This

state of the art professional CD player is backed by a three-year

warranty, excluding lasers. One-year warranty on CD lasers. Prior to

use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

(4)DISPLAY: The DISPLAY (4) shows the TRACK number, PITCH

VALUE, SINGLE-AUTO CUE, CONTINUE (for continuous play), and 3

different time displays. These time displays are TIME ELAPSED on the

track, TOTAL TIME REMAINING on the disc and TIME REMAINING on

the track. Time is measured in MINUTES, SECONDS and FRAMES.

CAUTIONS:

(5)PLAYBACK DISPLAY: The PLAYBACK DISPLAY (5) displays the

time remaining to play or how long track has been playing for.

PLAYBACK DISPLAY (5) flashes slowly when the track has 30

seconds left and quickly when the track has 15 seconds left.

Do not use this CD player at temperatures below 41°F/5°C or

higher than 95°F/35°C.

The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no

objects filled with liquids such as vases should be placed on the

apparatus.

Place the unit in a clean and dry location.

Do not place the unit in an unstable location.

When disconnecting the power cord from an AC outlet, always grasp it

by the plug. Never pull the power cord.

To prevent electric shock, do not remove the cover or the bottom screws.

There are no user serviceable parts inside. Please refer

servicing to a qualified technician.

(6)PLAY/PAUSE

: Each press of the PLAY/PAUSE (6) button causes

the operation to change from PLAY to PAUSE or from PAUSE back to

PLAY. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS section for more information.

(7)TRACK SKIP

: The TRACK SKIP (7) buttons let you select the

track to play.

: Use the SEARCH DIAL (8) to select the

what track to play and to set a CUE POINT. See the CUE

INSTRUCTIONS section for more information.

(10) JOG WHEEL: The JOG WHEEL (10) has various functions. Use the

JOG WHEEL (10) to make fine adjustments in pause mode. Use the JOG

WHEEL (10) to bend the pitch for precise synchronization in play mode,

for scratching, and adjustments to cue and effects parameters.

LINE VOLTAGE SELECTION:

Model CD-1800X is a dual voltage unit. It will operate at 115 or 230

volts. To set the proper voltage, follow these steps:

(11) STOP/EJECT : STOP/EJECT (11) ends the playback of the CD.

(13-15) SEAMLESS LOOP BUTTONS:

(13) FLY CUE: The FLY CUE (13) function lets you set cues on the fly

with one press of a button. With the unit in the PLAY mode

(PLAY/PAUSE LED glows green), press FLY CUE (13) at the point

where you want the CUE POINT to be (the unit will continue to play).

The CUE POINT is now memorized. Press the CUE (16) button to return

to the memorized CUE POINT. Push the PLAY/PAUSE (17) button, and

the unit will instantly play from the spot selected.

CONNECTIONS:

1. Plug one end of a set of RCA connectors into each of the LINE

OUTPUT JACKS (34).

2. Plug the other end of the RCA connectors into any available line level

input jacks on your mixer. If you are playing the CD-1800X through a

receiver, you can plug the RCA connectors into the CD or AUX input

jacks on your receiver. If there are no CD or AUX inputs, use any line

level (except phono) inputs.

(14) CUE 1-B/EXIT: After a CUE POINT is memorized, pressing the

CUE 1 B/EXIT BUTTON (14) in play mode, repeats the section between

the CUE POINT and the point where the CUE B/EXIT (14) button was

pressed. Press the CUE B/EXIT (14) button again or pause play to exit

the repeating play.

3. The DIGITAL OUTPUT- BNC (33) jacks are for connecting to any type of DAT,

MD, HARD DRIVE, or any other type of device that accept digital signals.

(15) RETURN: The RETURN (15) button has two functions. To return to a

previously saved LOOP from normal play, press the RETURN (15) button

after saving the LOOP. To return to and instantly play from a previously

saved CUE POINT, press the RETURN (15) button after setting the

CUE POINT (if you do not have a LOOP saved).

FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS:

DSP (DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING): CD player uses state of the art

DSP technology to process the sound.

(16) CUE 1/PREVIEW: With the unit in PLAY mode (the PLAY/PAUSE LED

will glow), and after the CUE POINT has been set, pressing the CUE 1/

PREVIEW (16) button will cause the CD player to enter PAUSE mode

(the PLAY/PAUSE LED will blink) at the memorized CUE POINT (the CUE

LED glows yellow). Holding down the CUE (10) button changes the

CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) function to PREVIEW allowing you to hear the

music play from the CUE POINT. Releasing the CUE 1/PREVIEW (16)

button returns you to the preset CUE POINT.

ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY: With 6 seconds of ANTI-SHOCK

BUFFER MEMORY the CD player stores 6 seconds of future play to

ensure that any harsh movement or bumping of the unit will not

interrupt play and play will continue smoothly.

(1)POWER: After making sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH

(36), found on the rear panel, is properly set, plug the unit in and press

the POWER (1). The unit will turn on. Pushing the POWER (1) again will

turn the unit off.

(17) HOT START CUE1: When you set a CUE POINT using the CUE1/

PREVIEW (16) or FLY CUE (13) button you can return to that CUE

POINT at any time during the musical performance simply by pressing

the HOT START CUE1 (17) button. The music will immediately return to

that point.

(2)DISC IN/OUT SLOT: Insert the CD into the slot and the unit will

automatically load the disc into the drive mechanism.

NOTE: DO NOT FORCE A DISC INTO THE SLOT WHEN THE POWER TO THE UNIT IS OFF!

(18) AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS: Pressing the AUTO CUE

SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18) button activates the AUTO CUE FUNCTION.

The AUTO CUE FUNCTION causes the unit to pause at the beginning of

music of the following track and allows you to start play immediately

from the start of music without any blank space (which exists at the

beginning of every track). Pressing the AUTO CUE SINGLE/

CONTINUOUS (18) button a second time activates the CONTINUOUS

function causing the unit to play continuously (after the last track, the

unit will return to the first track of the disc and continue to play).

Pressing the AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18) button a third time

deactivates the CONTINUOUS function.

(29) REVERSE: The REVERSE (29) effect plays your musical selection

BACKWARDS. When the effect is activated the music will play

BACKWARDS until it is released.

(30) BRAKE: The BRAKE (30) button simulates the effect of a turntable

slowing down to a stop.

(31) HOLD: Press HOLD (31) to hold an effect after pressing either

ZOOM (27) or FILTER (28). To release press the HOLD (31) button

again.

(32) SCRATCH: The SCRATCH (32) effect makes it possible for the JOG

WHEEL (10) to “SCRATCH” the music as it plays. If you move the

wheel back and forth the music will stop and play slowly as the wheel

is moved, similar to scratching a record. When the wheel stops moving

the music will continue.

(19) SET CUE: Use the SET CUE (19) button to activate the DIRECT

ACCESS (9) buttons to set a CUE POINT. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS

section for more information.

(20) HOT STARTS CUE 2-4: The CD-1800X allows you to set up to 3

different CUE POINTS using the HOT STARTS CUE 2-4 (20). To set

each individual CUE POINT, press the SET CUE (19) button and then a

cue button (CUE 2-4). You can keep setting CUE POINTS up to 3. As

your music is playing, if you would like it to jump to one of your set CUE

POINTS, simply press that individual CUE button (Cue 2-4) and the

music will jump to that point.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Make sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (36) switch, found on the rear

panel, is set for the proper voltage. Plug the unit in and press the

POWER (1) switch.

2. Place a CD in the DISC IN/OUT SLOT (2).

(21) ROBOSTART: Press the ROBOSTART (21) button to activate

ROBOSTART function. Use ROBOSTART in AUTO CUE-SINGLE mode

to alternate play between the two sides of the CD player (one track from

one side, then one track from the other side). See the ROBOSTART

INSTRUCTIONS section for further instructions.

3. Push the TRACK SKIP (7) buttons to select the track you want to play.

4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (6) button and the unit will instantly play.

CUE INSTRUCTIONS:

(22) MASTER TEMPO BUTTON: The MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (22)

control locks in the music’s pitch even when the tempo changes. You

can vary the beat with no change in vocal or instrument tone.

1. To memorize the spot at which you want play to start, the CUE POINT,

select the proper track, and then push the PLAY/PAUSE (6) button so

the unit goes into PLAY mode (the PLAY/PAUSE LED will glow). Listen

to the CD and when the CD gets to the approximate spot, push the

PLAY/PAUSE (6) button so the unit goes into PAUSE mode (the PLAY/

PAUSE LED will blink). Move the JOG WHEEL (10) or use the SEARCH

DIAL (8) to find the precise spot you want play to begin, and push the

PLAY/PAUSE (6) to memorize the CUE POINT. Press CUE 1/PREVIEW

(16) to return to the memorized CUE POINT in PAUSE mode, and then

push PLAY/PAUSE (6) to play from the CUE POINT. Or you can press

the HOT START CUE1 (17) button to return to and instantly play from the

saved CUE POINT.

(23) PITCH: Pushing the PITCH (23) button activates the PITCH

CONTROL SLIDE (25).

(24) VPS (VARIABLE PITCH SELECTOR) 4%, 8% & 16%: Use the

VPS (24) button to assign the PITCH percent the PITCH CONTROL

SLIDE will have. Pressing the VPS (24) button once will assign 4%, 8%,

& 16% to the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25). The PITCH (23) button

must be ON for the VPS (24) button to have any effect on the PITCH

CONTROL SLIDE (25).

To use FLY CUE (13) to set a CUE POINT, follow these instructions:

(25) PITCH CONTROL SLIDE: The pitch of the CD will change according

to the position of the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25).

1. With the unit in the PLAY mode (PLAY/PAUSE LED glows green), press

FLY CUE (13) at the point where you want the cue point to be (the unit

will continue to play). The CUE POINT is now memorized. Press the CUE

1/PREVIEW (16) button to return to the memorized CUE POINT. Push the

PLAY/PAUSE (6) button, and the unit will instantly play from the spot

selected.

(26) BPM/PITCH (PITCH BEND - or +): BPM/PITCH (26) button(s) has

two modes: BPM or PITCH BEND. Pressing both buttons

simultaneously will change the mode to BPM, using the PITCH

CONTROL SLIDE (25) will raise or lower the BPM or PITCH, this can

be used when the PITCH (23) button is off by using the PITCH BEND

buttons. When in either mode the button(s) for BPM/PITCH (26) will

raise or lower the PITCH or BPM percentage + or - 4% from the

existing setting. When using the BPM/PITCH (26) button(s) the PITCH

(23) LED will flash. The DISPLAY (4) shows levels for the active

function.

AND/OR:

To use the SET CUE (19) button and the DIRECT ACCESS (9) buttons

to set a CUE POINT, follow these instructions:

1. Press the SET CUE (19) button (the set cue LED will light). Use the

DIRECT ACCESS (9) buttons to memorize the spot at which you want

play to start, the CUE POINT, by selecting the proper TRACK, MINUTE,

SECOND and FRAME. Push the CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) button to set the

CUE. You can do this in any mode, including PLAY mode, so that you

may cue a track while playing a track. Press the CUE 1/PREVIEW (16)

button again to return to the memorized CUE POINT in PAUSE mode, and

then push PLAY/PAUSE (6) to play from the CUE POINT. Or you can

press the RETURN (15) button to return to and instantly play from the

saved CUE POINT (if you do not have a loop saved).

(27-32) EFFECTS:

The EFFECTS BUTTONS (27-32) allow you to select one of five

different effects: ZOOM (27), FILTER (28), REVERSE (29), BRAKE

(30), and SCRATCH (32).

(27) ZOOM: The ZOOM (27) effect changes the delay time by rotating

the jog wheel, mixing a short delay with the playback sound. This

function allows you to produce the sound of a JET ENGINE

(FLANGER EFFECT) using a single CD Player. When held down the

DISPLAY (4) shows the effects parameters for precise tuning.

SUGGESTION: TO AVOID CONFUSION WHILE SETTING CUE POINTS, KEEP THE TIME

DISPLAY IN ELAPSED TIME MODE. WHEN YOU USE THE DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS TO

SET A CUE, THE TRACK, MINUTE, SECOND AND FRAME ARE ALWAYS IN ELAPSED TIME.

IF THE UNIT’S TIME DISPLAY IS IN TRACK REMAIN OR TOTAL REMAIN MODE, THE

TRACK, MINUTE, SECOND AND FRAME DISPLAYED WILL BE THE REMAIN TIME AND NOT

THE TRACK, MINUTE, SECOND AND FRAME YOU ENTERED.

(28) FILTER: The FILTER (28) effect allows you to change the CUT OFF

FREQUENCY of the playback sound when the jog wheel is rotated.

This allows the DJ to extract and play back specific parts from the

playback sound. When held down the DISPLAY (4) shows the effects

parameters for precise tuning.

2. To fine tune a CUE POINT, pause play at the memorized CUE POINT

(the cue LED will glow and the PLAY/PAUSE LED will blink), then use

the JOG WHEEL (10) or SEARCH (9) dial to scan frame by frame (1/

d75th of a second) to where you want play to begin (the CUE LED will

blink while you scan). Press the PLAY/PAUSE (6) button to save the

new CUE POINT.

NOTE: DURING FINE TUNING THERE WILL BE A STUTTER EFFECT (TO HELP YOU FIND THE

BEAT). THE STUTTERING EFFECT WILL END WHEN YOU PRESS THE PLAY/PAUSE (6)

BUTTON TO SAVE THE CUE POINT.

ROBO START INSTRUCTIONS:

IN SINGLE-AUTO CUE MODE:

Use ROBO START (1) in AUTO CUE SINGLE mode to alternate play

between two CD-1800X CD players (one track from one side,

then one from the other). In AUTO CUE SINGLE mode play starts

immediately with no blank or “dead” space. ROBO START causes one

side of the CD player to play when the other side is paused.

1. Engage AUTO CUE SINGLE mode with the AUTO CUE SINGLE/

CONTINUOUS BUTTON (18).

2. Press the ROBO START BUTTON (21) to activate ROBO START. Play

will alternate between the two CD players. At the end of a track, the

playing side pauses and the other CD deck plays a track. At the end of

this track, the playing side pauses and the first CD deck resumes play.

IN CONTINUOUS MODE OR DURING NORMAL PLAY:

If you use ROBOSTART without AUTO CUE SINGLE mode

(in CONTINUOUS mode or during normal play), play will not

alternate automatically. Pressing pause on the playing side will

cause the other side to play.

1. During normal play, set a cue point on the other side of the CD player.

2. Press the ROBO START (21) button to activate ROBO START (the

button will blink).

3. Press PLAY/PAUSE (6) button on the playing side to begin play from

the cue point on the other side.

NOTE: PAUSING THE PLAYING SIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRACK WILL CAUSE THE OTHER

SIDE TO PLAY. WHEN THAT TRACK ENDS, PLAY WILL BEGIN FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE

TRACK WHERE PLAY WAS PAUSED.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:

•

If the disk will not play, check to see if the disc was loaded correctly

(label side up). Also check the disc for excessive dirt, scratches, etc.

If the disc turns but there is no sound, check the cable connections. If

they are okay, check your amplifier or receiver.

If the CD skips, check the CD for dirt or scratches. Do not assume that

the CD player is defective. Many CDs are recorded out of spec and will

skip on most or all CD players. Before sending the unit in for repair, try

playing a CD that you are sure plays properly.

customer service. Do not return equipment to your dealer!

Tonhöhe, einfaches Auto-Cue und Continue (für kontinuierliches

Spielen) und 3 unterschiedliche Zeitanzeigen dargestellt. Diese

Zeitanzeigen sind die Zeit der abgelaufenen Spur, die auf der CD und

auf der Spur verbleibende Zeit. Die Zeit wird in Minuten, Sekunden und

Rahmen gemessen. Ebenfalls werden die Beats (Schläge) pro Minute

auf der Spur angezeigt.

Dieses Gerät enthält keine austauschbaren Teile. Wenden Sie sich im

Falle einer Reparatur an qualifizierte Fachleute.

Keine chemischen Lösungsmittel zum Reinigen des Geräts benutzen.

Den Laser-Tonabnehmer sauber halten, indem Sie das

: Die Tasten TRACK SKIP (7) (Titel überspringen)

erlauben eine Auswahl der Titel, die gespielt werden soll.

(8) SEARCH DIAL: Der Drehschalter SEARCH DIAL (8) (Suchen) dient

dazu, die Abtastrichtung und -geschwindigkeit zu wählen. Wenn der

Schalter im Uhrzeigersinn gedreht wird, ist die Abtastrichtung vorwärts;

gegen den Uhrzeigersinn ist rückwärts. Die Abtastgeschwindigkeit

steigt an, je weiter der Schalter gedreht wird.

AUSWAHL DER LEITUNGSSPANNUNG

Modell CD-1800X ist ein Gerät mit Doppelspannung. Es arbeitet bei 115

oder 230 V. Um die vorschriftsmäßige Spannung einzustellen, sind

folgende Schritte zu befolgen:

1. Die Spitze des Schraubenziehers in die Mitte des VOLTAGE SELECTOR (36)-

(9) DIRECT ACCESS: Die Tasten DIRECT ACCESS(9) werden benutzt,

um den abzuspielenden Titel direkt anzuwählen und um den

STARTPUNKT einzustellen. Im Abschnitt SPEICHERTASTE-

ZANWEISUNGEN finden Sie weitere Informationen.

Schalters setzen, der sich an der Rückwand des Gehäuses befindet.

2. Den Schalter nach links auf 115 V oder nach rechts auf 230 V schieben.

3. Den Schalter nicht zwingen oder drehen. Wenn man übermäßige

Gewalt anwendet, kann dies den Schalter beschädigen. Wenn der

Schalter sich nicht leicht schieben lässt, wenden Sie sich an einen

qualifizierten Fachmann.

(10) JOG WHEEL: Das JOG WHEEL (10) hat zwei Funktionen.

Benuzten Sie das JOG WHEEL (10), um Feineinstellungen im Pause-

Modus zu machen. Benuzten Sie das JOG WHEEL(10), um der Tonhöhe

eine Nuance zu verleihen, um somit eine genaue Synchronisation im

Abspiel-Modus, für das Raspelgeräusch und beim Regulieren der

Vorlauf- und der Effektparameter zu erzielen.

ANSCHLÜSSE:

1. Ein Ende von einem Satz RCA-Stecker in jeden der Anschlüss LINE OUT

(11) STOP/EJECT : Die Taste STOP/EFECT(11) stoppt und beendet das

Abspielen der CD. Betätigen Sie sich einmal, um zu stoppen, zweimal

auszustoßen, oder halten Sie, um das CD auszustoßen.

(34) (Leitungsausgang) einstecken.

2. Das andere Ende der RCA-Stecker in einen beliebigen Anschluß

Leitungseingang des Mischpults einstecken. Wenn der CD-1800X durch

einen Empfangsgerät gespielt wird, können die RCA-Stecker in die

Eingangsanschlüsse CD oder AUX des Empfangsgeräts eingesteckt

werden. Wenn kein CD oder AUX Eingang vorhanden ist, kann jeder

Leitungseingang (nicht Phono) verwendet werden.

(12) TIME: Die TIME (12)-Taste schaltet die Zeitanzeige zwischen

drei verschiedenen Auswahlen, die unter DISPLAY aufgeführt sind.

(13-15) SEAMLESS LOOP TASTEN:

(13) FLY CUE: Die Funktion FLY CUE (13), ermöglicht Ihnen, durch

Drücken einer Taste sofort Merkstellen einzustellen. Wenn der CD-

Spieler im SPIEL modus ist (die PLAY/PAUSE LED glimmt grün), drücken

Sie die FLY CUE (13)-Taste an der Stelle, wo die Merkstelle sein soll

(der CD-Spieler spielt weiter). Nun ist die Merkstelle gespeichert. Die

CUE (16)-Taste drücken, um zur gespeicherten Merkstelle

zurückzukehren. Die PLAY/PAUSE (17)-Taste drücken und der CD-

Spieler wird sofort ab der ausgewählten Stelle spielen.

3. Die Steckfassungen des DIGITAL OUTPUT- BNC (5) sind für das

Anschließen an irgendeine Art DAT, MD, FESTPLATTENLAUFWERK

oder irgendeine andere Art Vorrichtung, die digitale Signale annehmen.

FUNKTIONSBESCHREIBUNG:

DSP (DIGITAL SIGNALAUFBEREITUNG): CD Spieler benutzt Zustand

der Technologie der kunst DSP, um den Ton zu verarbeiten.

(14) CUE 1-B/EXIT: Nachdem eine Merkstelle gespeichert wurde und

wenn die CUE 1-B/EXIT (14)-Taste im PLAY-Modus gedrückt wird, wird

der Abschnitt zwischen der Merkstelle und der Stelle, an der die

CUE 1-B/EXIT (14)-Taste gedrückt wurde, wiederholt. Die

SCHOCKSICHERER SPEICHER: Mit SCHOCKSICHEREM

ZWICHENSPEICHER FÜR 6 SEKUNDEN SPEICHERUNG, speichert jede

Seite des CD-Spielers 6 Sekunden des zukünftigen Abspielens, um

sicherzustellen, dass jegliche ruckartige Bewegungen oder Stöße

gegen die Wand des Geräts das Spielen nicht unterbrechen werden

und dass das Spielen reibungslos weiterläuft.

CUE 1-B/EXIT (14)-Taste noch einmal drücken oder das Abspielen

momentan stoppen, um wiederholte Abspielen zu beenden.

(15) RETURN: Die Taste RETURN (15) hat zwei Funktionen. Um zum

Anfang der zuvor gesicherten SCHLEIFE des normalen Abspielens

zurückzukehren, drücken Sie die Taste RETURN (15), nachdem Sie

die SCHLEIFE gesichert haben). Um zu einer zuvor gesicherten

MERKSTELLE zurückzukehren und von dieser momentan an zu spielen,

drücken Sie die Taste RETURN (15), nachdem Sie die MERKSTELLEN

eingestellt haben (falls Sie keine SCHLEIFE gesichert haben).

(26) BPM/PITCH (Tonhöhen-Nuance - oder +): Die BPM/PITCH (26)

-Taste(n) haben zwei Betriebsarten: BPM oder PITCH BEND. Wenn Sie

beide Tasten gleichzeitig drücken, wird die Betriebsart auf BPM

umgeschaltet, die Benutzung des PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25) wird

das BPM oder PITCH entweder erhöhen oder senken. Diese Taste

kann benutzt werden, wenn die PITCH (23)-Taste deaktiviert ist,

indem Sie die PITCH BEND-Tasten benutzen. In jeder dieser

Betriebsarten werden die BPM/PITCH (26)-Taste(n) den Prozentsatz

des BPM oder PITCH um - oder + 4% der ursprünglichen Einstellung

erhöhen oder senken. Wenn Sie die BPM/PITCH (26)-Taste(n) drücken,

wird die PITCH-LED (23) blinken. Die Stufen der aktiven Funktion

werden auf dem DISPLAY (4) angezeigt.

(16) CUE 1/PREVIEW: Wenn der CD-Spieler sich im modus-SPIEL

befindet (LED PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet auf) und nachdem der

STARTPUNKT eingestellt worden ist, verursacht ein Druck auf die Taste

SPEICHERTASTE (16), daß der CD-Spielers in den modus-PAUSE (LED

PLAY/PAUSE wird blinken) an dem gespeicherten STARTPUNKT

(LED CUE 1/PREVIEW leuchtet gelb auf) schaltet. Wenn Sie die

CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) niederdrücken, wird die Mithörfunktion auf

PREVIEW zurückgesetzt und ermöglicht Ihnen, die Musik von dem

STARTPUNKT abzuhören. Das Auslösen der CUE 1/PREVIEW (16)

führt Sie zum voreingestellten STARTPUNKT zurück.

(27-32) EFFECTS:

Die EFFECTS-Tasten (27-32) ermöglichen Ihnen, einen von fünf

unterschiedlichen Effekten auszuwählen: ZOOM (27), FILTER (28),

REVERSE (29), BRAKE (30) und SCRATCH (32).

(27) ZOOM: Der ZOOM (27)-Effekt ändert die Verzögerungszeit, indem

das Suchrad gedreht wird, wobei die kurze Verzögerung mit dem

Wiedergabeklang gemischt wird. Diese Funktion ermöglichen Ihnen, den

Klang eines Düsenmotors zu erzeugen (Effektsteller), wobei ein

einzelner CD-Spieler benutzt wird. Wenn die DISPLAY (4)-Taste im

gedrückten Zustand ist, werden die Effekt-Parameter für genaues

Tuning angezeigt.

(17) HOT START CUE 1: Wenn Sie eine Merkstelle mittels der CUE 1/

PREVIEW (16)-Taste oder der FLY CUE (13)-Taste eingestellt haben,

können Sie jederzeit während des Abspielens der Musik zur Merkstelle

zurückkehren, indem Sie die HOT START CUE 1 (17) Taste drücken. Die

Musik wird sofort zu der Stelle zurückkehren.

(18) AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS: Drücken der AUTO CUE

SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18) Taste aktiviert die AUTO CUE Funktion. Die

Funktion stoppt das Gerät beim Start der Musik des darauffolgenden

Titels und ermöglicht das Abspielen sofort beim Start der Musik ohne

jeglichen leeren Zwischenraum (der zu Beginn eines jeden Titels

besteht). Durch Drücken der AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18)

Taste ein zweites Mal aktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion. Diese

Funktion lässt das Gerät fortwährend spielen (nach dem letzten Titel

kehrt das Gerät zum ersten Titel der Platte zurück und setzt das Spielen

fort). Drücken der AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18) Taste ein

drittes Mal deaktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion.

(28) FILTER: Der FILTER (28)-Effekt ermöglichen Ihnen, die kritische

Frequenz des Wiedergabeklangs zu ändern, wenn das Suchrad rotiert.

Dies ermöglicht dem DJ, bestimmte Teile aus dem Wiedergabeklang

ziehen und wiederzugeben. Wenn die DISPLAY (4)-Taste im gedrückten

Zustand ist, werden die Effekt-Parameter für genaues Tuning

angezeigt.

(29) REVERSE: Der REVERSE (29)-Effekt spielt die musikalische Auswahl

in die umgekehrte Richtung. Wenn der Effekt aktiviert ist, spielt die Musik

in die umgekehrte Richtung, bis diese Funktion rückgesetzt wird.

(19) SET CUE: Mit der Taste SET CUE(19) werden die Tasten DIRECT

SELECT (9) aktiviert, um einen STARTPUNKT einzustellen. Im Abschnitt

SPEICHERTASTE-ZUSATZHINWEISE finden Sie weitere Informationen.

(30) BRAKE: Die BRAKE-Taste (30) simuliert den Effekt eines

Plattenspielers, dessen Geschwindigkeit reduziert wird, bis er zum

Stoppen kommt. Betätigen Sie sich PLAY/PAUSE (6) um es zu

aktivieren.

(20) HOT STARTS CUE 2-4: Der CD-1800X ermöglicht Ihnen, bis zu 3

verschiedene MERKSTELLEN mittels der HOT STARTS CUE 2-4 (20)

einzustellen. Um jede individuelle MERKSTELLE einzustellen, drücken

Sie auf die SET CUE (19) und dann eine MERKTASTE (Cue 2-4). Sie

können bis zu 3 MERKSTELLEN einstellen. Wenn Sie zu einer der

eingestellten MERKSTELLEN überspringen wollen, während die Musik

spielt, drücken Sie einfach diese MERKTASTE (Cue 2-4), und die Musik

wird zur eingestellten MERKSTELLE überspringen.

(31) HOLD: Drücken Sie die HOLD (31)-Taste, um einen Effekt

beizubehalten, nachdem Sie entweder ZOOM (27) oder FILTER (28)

gedrückt haben. Um die Taste rückzusetzen, drücken Sie wieder HOLD (31).

(32) SCRATCH: SCRATCH (32) ermöglicht es, mit dem JOG WHEEL (10)

ein Raspelgeräusch mit der gespielten Musik zu erzielen. Wenn Sie

das Rad hin und her schieben, stoppt die Musik stoppen und sie wird

langsam weitergespielt, wenn das Rad bewegt wird, und das dabei

erzielte Effelt ist ähnlich wie das Kratzen auf einer Schallplatte. Wenn

das Rad stoppt, spielt die Musik weiter.

(21) ROBO START: Drücken Sie die ROBO START (21)-Taste um den

ROBO START (21) zu aktivieren (die Taste wird glimmen). Benutzen

Sie den ROBO START (21) im SINGLE-AUTO CUE-Modus, um beim

Spielen der zwischen den zwei Seiten des CD-Spielers zu alternieren

(eine Spur von der einen und eine von der anderen Seite). Für weitere

BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG:

1. Sicherstellen, daß der Schieberegler VOLTAGE SELECTOR (36)

(Spannungswähler) auf der hinteren Schalttafel auf die richtige

Spannung eingestellt ist. Das Gerät mit dem Netz verbinden und den

POWER (1) einschalten.

SPIEL-modus übergeht (LED PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet auf). Hören Sie

sich die CD an, und sobald die CD ungefähr die gewünschte Stelle

erreicht, drücken Sie die Taste PLAY/PAUSE (6), damit die Einheit in den

PAUSE-modus geht (LED PLAY/PAUSE wird blinken). Das JOG WHEEL

(25) PITCH CONTROL SLIDE: Die Tonhöhe der CD wird je nach der

Stellung der PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25) geändert.

Am Ende eine Spur wird die gespielte Seite anhalten, und der andere

CD-Spieler wird eine Spur spielen. Am Ende dieser Spur wird die gespielte

Seite anhalten, und der erste CD-Spieler fängt wieder an zu spielen.

IM KONTINUIERLICHEN MODUS ODER BEI NORMALEM

ABSPIELEN:

Wenn Sie ROBO START ohne AUTO CUE SINGLE modus (im

CONTINUOUS modus oder bei normalem Abspielen) benutzen, wird

das Abspielen nicht automatisch von der einen Seite zur anderen

FEHLERSUCHE:

1. Drücken Sie die Taste SET CUE (19) (die Set Cue LED leuchtet auf).

Wenn eine CD nicht spielt, nachprüfen, ob die CD richtig eingelegt

Kabelanschlüsse überprüfen. Wenn diese in Ordnung sind, den

Verstärker bzw. das Empfangsgerät überprüfen.

Wenn die CD springt, ist sie auf Schmutz oder Kratzer zu überprüfen.

Man darf nicht sofort annehmen, daß der CD-Spieler defekt ist. Viele

CDs werden nicht spezifikationsgemäß aufgezeichnet und springen auf

den meisten oder allen CD-Spielern. Bevor Sie das Gerät zur Reparatur

einsenden, versuchen Sie, eine CD abzuspielen, von der Sie sicher

sind, daß sie richtig spielt.

(4) DISPLAY: El DISPLAY (4) muestra el número de la pista, el valor de la

altura tonal, el single-auto cue, continuación (para la lectura continua) y

transcurrido en la pista, el tiempo restante en el disco y el tiempo

(6) PLAY/PAUSE

: Cada vez que se pulsa el PLAY/PAUSE (6), el

(17) HOT START CUE 1: Cuando se establece un punto de referencia

con el CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) o el pulsador FLY CUE (13), se puede

volver a este punto de referencia en cualquier momento durante la

música simplemente al apretar el pulsador HOT START CUE 1 (17). La

música volverá inmediatamente a tal punto.

(28) FILTER: El efecto FILTER(28) le permite cambiar la frecuencia de

corte de la reproducción cuando la rueda JOG está girando. Esto le

permite al DJ extraer y reproducir ciertas partes de la reproducción.

(32) SCRATCH: El efecto SCRATCH (32) lo hace posible para el JOG

WHEEL (10) de producir una “rascadura” de la música durante la

(20) HOT STARTS CUE 2-4: El aparato CD-1800X le permite establecir

individual, apriete el SET CUE (19) y después el pulsador de referencia

estos PUNTOS DE REFERENCIA, apriete simplemente el pulsador de

lado de reproducción hará reproducir el otro lado.

establecer el PUNTO DE REFERENCIA. Lo puede hacer en cualquier

modalidad, incluso la modalidad de PLAY, de tal forma que puede

establecer el PUNTO DE REFERENCIA de una pista mientras que se

reproduce otra. Apriete el pulsador CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) otra vez

para volver al PUNTO DE REFERENCIA memorizado en la modalidad de

pausa y después apriete el pulsador PLAY/PAUSE (6) para reproducir

desde el punto de referencia. O, se puede apretar el pulsador RETURN

(15) para volver y reproducir inmediatamente desde el punto de

referencia memorizado (si el loop no ha sido memorizado).

Si el disco no reproduce, verifique si el disco ha sido cargado

correctamente (etiqueta hacia arriba). Verifique también si el disco

contiene un exceso de suciedad, rascaduras, etc.

Si le disco gira pero no se oye nada, verifique la conexión de los

cables. Si todo está en orden, verifique el amplificador o el receptor.

Si salta el disco compacto, verifique el disco (suciedad o rascaduras).

No suponga que el reproductor tiene defecto. Muchos discos

compactos se registran fuera de las especificaciones y saltarán en la

mayoría o en todos los reproductores. Antes de mandar el aparato para

reparación, trate de reproducir un disco del cual se sabe que es

perfecto.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA ROBO START:

EN LA MODALIDAD SINGLE-AUTO CUE:

Utilice el ROBO START (1) en la modalidad AUTO CUE SINGLE para

alternar la reproducción entre los dos lectores DC del CD-1800X (una

pista de un lado, después una del otro lado). En la modalidad AUTO

CUE SINGLE, la reproducción empieza sin espacio blanco o muerto. El

ROBO START causa la reproducción de un lado del lector de DC

cuando el otro lado está en “pausa”.

1. Enganche la modalidad AUTO CUE SINGLE con el pulsador AUTO

CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (3).

2. Apriete el pulsador ROBO START (21) para activar la función ROBO

START. La reproducción alternará entre los dos lectores DC. Al final de

una pista, el lado de reproducción se pone en pausa y el otro lector DC

reproduce una pista. Al final de esta pista, el lado de reproducción se

pone en pausa y el primer lector DC se mete a reproducir otra vez.

Gemini. Cet appareil de lecture DC ultramoderne est appuyé par une

garantie de trois ans, à l’exclusion des lasers. Garantie de un an sur les

lasers DC. Avant son emploi, nous vous recommandons de lire

soigneusement toutes les instructions.

(4) DISPLAY: Le DISPLAY (4) montre le numéro de la piste, la hauteur du

son, la référence single-auto cue, continue (pour une lecture continue)

et 3 affichages de temps différents. Ces derniers sont le temps écoulé sur

la piste, le temps restant sur le disque et le temps restant sur la piste. Le

temps est mesuré en MINUTES, SECONDES et TRAMES. Il montre également

le nombre de battements par minute de la piste.

ATTENTION:

N’utilisez pas cet appareil à des températures en-dessous de 5° C/41° F

ou au-dessus de 35° C/95° F.

L’appareil ne doit pas être exposé à l’égouttement ou aux

éclaboussures; aucun objet rempli de liquide telle qu’une vase ne

devrait être placé sur celui-ci. Placez l’appareil dans un lieu propre et sec.

Ne mettez pas l’appareil dans un lieu instable.

Lorsque vous retirez le cordon d’une prise c.a. du secteur, prenez-le

toujours par la fiche. Ne tirez jamais au cordon-même.

(5) PLAYBACK DISPLAY: La fonction PLAYBACK DISPLAY (5) montre le

temps restant pour la lecture et clignote lentement lorsqu’il reste 30

secondes sur la piste. Le PLAYBACK DISPLAY (5) clignote rapidement

lorsqu’il reste 15 secondes sur la piste.

(6) PLAY/PAUSE

: Chaque fois que l’on appuie sur le PLAY/PAUSE (6),

l’appareil se met en mode lecture ou en mode pause. Voir la section

CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de plus amples renseignements.

(7) TRACK SKIP

: Les TRACK SKIP (7) vous permettent de

choisir la plage que vous désirez écouter.

(8) SEARCH DIAL: Utilisez le SEARCH DIAL (8) (cadran de recherche)

pour choisir la direction et la vitesse de balayage. Le fait de tourner le

cadran dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre balayera vers l’avant et

le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre balayera en arrière. La

vitesse de balayage augmente au fur et à mesure que le cadran est

tourné plus loin.

SELECTION DE LA TENSION DE SECTEUR:

Le modèle CD-1800X est un appareil à deux tensions. Il marchera sur

115 ou 230 volts. Pour choisir la tension correcte, faites ce qui suit:

(10) JOG WHEEL: La JOG WHEEL (10) a deux fonctions. Utilisez la JOG

WHEEL (10) pour faire des réglages précis dans le mode de pause.

Utilisez la JOG WHEEL (10) pour adapter la hauteur du son pour obtenir

une synchronisation précise dans le mode de lecture, pour le grattement

et les réglages des paramètres référence et effets.

1. Placez la tête d’un tournevis au centre du SELECTEUR DE TENSION –

VOLTAGE SELECTOR (36) sur le panneau arrière.

2. Glissez le sélecteur à gauche pour 115 volts ou à droite pour 230 volts.

3. Ne forcez et ne tordez pas le sélecteur. Une force excessive risque de

l’abîmer. Si le sélecteur ne se déplace pas bien, contactez un technicien

qualifié.

(11) STOP/EJECT : La touche STOP/EJECT (11) fera cesser la lecture

du CD. Serrez une fois pour s’arrêter, pour éjecter deux fois, ou tenez

pour éjecter le CD.

CONNEXIONS:

(12) TIME: La touche TIME (12) fait commuter l’affichage du temps entre

trois choix disponibles énumérés sous DISPLAY (4) .

1. Enfichez une extrémité d’un jeu de connecteurs bdans chacun des

jacks LINE OUT (34).

(13-15) SEAMLESS LOOP BUTTONS:

2. Enfichez l’autre extrémité des connecteurs RCA dans tout jack d’entrée

de niveau de ligne disponible sur votre mixer. Si vous faites passer

l’appareil CD-1800X à travers un récepteur, vous pouvez enficher les

connecteurs RCA dans les jacks d’entrée CD ou AUX sur votre

récepteur. S’il n’y a pas d’entrées CD ou AUX, utilisez n’importe quelles

entrées de niveau de ligne (sauf phono).

(13) FLY CUE: La fonction FLY CUE (13) vous permet d’établir des

points de référence à l’instant même avec une pression de la touche. En

ayant l’appareil en mode de lecture (la DEL lecture/pause est verte),

pressez FLY CUE (13) au point où vous voulez établir le point de

référence (l’appareil poursuivra la lecture). Maintenant le point de

référence est mémorisé. Pressez la touche CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) pour

revenir au point de référence mémorisée. Pressez la touche PLAY/

PAUSE (6) et l’appareil commencera à jouer à partir du l’endroit choisi.

3. Les crics du rendement de DIGITAL BNC (5) sont pour se relier à

n’importe quel type de DAT, de MD, de DISQUE DUR, ou de n’importe

quel autre type de dispositif qui acceptent les signaux numériques.

(14) CUE 1-B/EXIT: Après avoir mémorisé un point de référence, le fait de

presser la touche CUE 1-B/EXIT (14) dans le mode de lecture, répète la

partie entre le point de référence et le point où la touche CUE 1-B/EXIT

(14) a été pressée. Pressez la touche CUE 1-B/EXIT (14) de nouveau

ou mettez la lecture sur pause pour quitter la lecture répétée.

technologie du dernier cri de DSP pour traiter le bruit.

(15) RETURN: La touche RETURN (15) a deux fonctions. Pour revenir à la

boucle mémorisée antérieurement de la lecture normale, appuyez sur la

touche RETURN (15) après avoir mémorisé la boucle. Pour revenir au

POINT DE REPÈRE précédemment mémorisé et pour commencer la

lecture immédiate à partir de ce point, appuyez sur la touche RETURN

(15) après avoir établi le POINT DE REPÈRE (si aucune boucle n’est

mémorisée).

ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY: Ayant 6 secondes de mémoire

tampon anti-choc, chaque côté du lecteur CD mémorise 6 secondes de

lecture future pour assurer que tout movement brusque de l’appareil

n’interrompera pas la musique.

(1) POWER: Après avoir vérifié que le VOLTAGE SELECTOR (36) sur le

panneau arrière est convenablement positionné, enfichez l’appareil et

appuyez sur la touche POWER (1). L’appareil se mettra en marche. Si

vous pressez cette touche une seconde fois, l’appareil s’éteindra.

(2) DISC IN/OUT SLOT: Insérez le CD dans la fente et l’unité chargera

automatiquement le disque dans le mécanisme d’entraînement.

(16) CUE 1/PREVIEW: L'appareil étant en mode LECTURE (la DEL PLAY/

PAUSE s'allume) et après avoir établi le POINT DE REPÈRE, le fait

d'appuyer sur la touche CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) fera entrer le lecteur CD

en mode PAUSE (la DEL PLAY/PAUSE clignote) au POINT DE REPÈRE

mémorisé (la DEL du POINT DE REPÈRE jaune s'allume). Le fait de tenir

le doigt sur la touche CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) change la fonction CUE 1/

PREVIEW (16) en PREVIEW ce qui vous permettra d'écouter la musique

à partir du POINT DE REPÈRE. La libération de la touche CUE 1/

(27-32) EFFECTS:

Les touches EFFECTS (27-32) vous permettent de choisir un de cinq

effets différents: ZOOM (27), FILTER (28), REVERSE (29), BRAKE (30)

et SCRATCH (32).

(27) ZOOM: L’effet ZOOM (27) change le délai de temporisation en

tournant la roue pas-à-pas, ce qui mélange une courte temporisation

avec la reproduction. Cette fonction vous permet de produire le son

d’un réacteur avec un seul lecteur de DC. Lorsque le doigt est maintenu

sur DISPLAY (4), les paramètres des effets sont montrés pour un

réglage précis.

PREVIEW (16) vous renvoie au point repère préalablement enregistré.

(17) HOT START CUE 1: Lorsque vous établissez un point de référence

à l’aide de la touche CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) ou FLY CUE (13), vous

pouvez revenir à ce point de référence à tout moment durant la

performance musicale simplement en appuyant sur la touche HOT

START CUE 1 (17). La musique retournera automatiquement à ce point.

(28) FILTER: L’effet FILTER (28) vous permet de changer la fréquence

coupée de la reproduction lorsque la roue pas-à-pas est tournée. Ceci

permet au DJ d’extraire et de reproduire certaines parties de la

reproduction. Lorsque le doigt est maintenu sur DISPLAY (4), les

paramètres des effets sont montrés pour un réglage précis.

(18) AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUOUS: Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche

AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUE/CONTINUE (18) activera la fonction

AUTO CUE. Cette fonction provoque l’arrêt automatique de la lecture à

l’issue de chaque plage lue. L’appareil se met automatiquement en mode

PAUSE et se cale au début de la plage suivante en évitant les blancs

car ce dernier se cale à la première note. Le fait d’appuyer une

seconde fois sur la touche AUTO CUE SINGLE/CONTINUE (18) activera

la fonction CONTINUOUS (EN CONTINU) ce qui fera jouer l’appareil

sans interruption entre chaque plage (après lecture de la dernière

plage, l’appareil retournera à la première plage du disque et continuera

la lecture). Le fait d’appuyer une troisième fois sur la touche AUTO

CUE SINGLE/CONTINUE (18) désactive la fonction CONTINUOUS.

(29) REVERSE: L’effet REVERSE (29) fait jouer votre choix musical de

l’arrière en avant. Lorsque l’effet est activé, la musique jouera en sens

inverse jusqu’à sa libération.

(30) BRAKE: La touche BRAKE (30) simule l’effet d’un tourne-disque

freinant jusqu’à l’arrêt. Serrez PLAY/PAUSE (6) pour l’activer.

(31) HOLD: Appuyez sur HOLD (31) pour maintenir un effet après avoir

appuyé sur ZOOM (27) ou FILTER (28). Pour libérer, appuyez sur la

touche HOLD (31) de nouveau.

(19) SET CUE: Utilisez la touche SET CUE (19) pour activer les DIRECT

ACCESS (9) (touches d’accès direct) pour établir un POINT DE RÉFÉRENCE.

Voir la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de plus amples informations.

(32) SCRATCH: L’effet SCRATCH (32) permet au JOG WHEEL (10) de

produire un effet de grattement de la musique durant la lecture. Si vous

déplacez la roue en avant et en arrière, la musique s’arrêtera et

commencera à jouer lentement durant le mouvement de la roue,

semblable au grattement d’un disque normal. Lorsque la roue ne se

déplace plus, la musique continuera.

(20) HOT STARTS CUE 2-4: L’appareil CD-1800X vous permet d’établir

jusqu’à 3 POINTS DE RÉFÉRENCE différents à l’aide des touches HOT

STARTS CUE 2-4 (20). Pour établir chaque POINT DE RÉFÉRENCE

individuel, appuyez sur la touche SET CUE (19), puis sur une touche de

référence (Cue 2-4). Vous pouvez établir un maximum de 3 POINTS DE

RÉFÉRENCE. Lorsque la musique joue, et vous voulez qu’elle saute à

un des POINTS DE RÉFÉRENCE, il suffit de presser cette touche de

référence particulière (Cue 2-4) et la musique passera

(22) MASTER TEMPO: La touche MASTER TEMPO (22) vous permet de

maintenir la hauteur de la musique même si le rhythme change. Vous pouvez

faire varier le battement sans changer la tonalité vocale ou instrumentale.

CONSIGNES D’INSERTION:

1. Pour mémoriser l’endroit à partir duquel vous souhaitez commencer la

lecture, le POINT DE REPÈRE, choisissez la plage correcte, et appuyez

ensuite sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE (6) de sorte que l’appareil

passe en mode lecture (la DEL PLAY/PAUSE s’allumera). Écoutez le CD

et lorsqu’il s’approche de l’endroit approximatif, appuyez sur la touche

PLAY/PAUSE (6) de sorte que l’appareil passe en mode PAUSE (la DEL

PLAY/PAUSE clignotera). Déplacez le JOG WHEEL (10) ou utilisez les

touches SEARCH DIAL (8) pour retrouver l’endroit précis à partir

duquel vous voulez com mencer la lecture et appuyez sur la touche

PLAY/PAUSE (6) pour mémoriser le POINT DE REPÈRE. Ou vous

pouvez appuyer sur la Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche HOT

START 1 (17) pour revenir au POINT DE REPÈRE mémorisé et pour

commencer la lecture immédiatement à partir de ce point.

(23) PITCH: Le fait de presser la touche PITCH (18) active le PITCH

CONTROL SLIDE (25).

(24) VPS (VARIABLE PITCH SELECTOR) 4%, 8% % 16%: Utilisez la

touche VPS (24%) pour attribuer le pourcentage de la HAUTEUR

TONALE qu’aura le PITCH CONTROL SLIDE. Le fait d’appuyer une fois

sur la touche VPS (24) attribuera 4%, 8% & 16% au PITCH CONTROL

SLIDE (25). La touche PITCH (23) doit être activée pour que la touche

VPS (24) puisse avoir un effet sur le PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25).

(25) PITCH CONTROL SLIDE: La hauteur de son du DC changera selon

la position de cette touche PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25).

Pour utiliser FLY CUE 1(13) afin d’introduire le POINT DE REPÈRE,

suivez les instructions ci-après:

(26) BPM/PITCH (PITCH BEND – ou +): La (les) touche(s) BPM/PITCH

(26) a/ont deux modalités: BPM ou PITCH BEND. Le fait d’appuyer sur

les deux touches simultanément changera la modalité à BPM. Le fait

d’utiliser PITCH CONTROL SLIDE (25) augmentera ou réduira le BPM

ou PITCH. Il peut être utilisé lorsque la touche PITCH (23) est

désactivée par l’intermédiaire des touches PITCH BEND. Dans une

modalité ou autre, la (les) touche(s) pour BPM/PITCH (26) augmentera

(ont) ou réduira (ont) le pourcentage du PITCH ou BPM de - ou + 4%

par rapport au réglage existant. Lorsque la (les) touche(s) BPM/PITCH

(26) est (sont) utilisée(s), la DEL du PITCH (23) clignotera. Le DISPLAY

(4) montre les niveaux de la fonction active.

1. L’appareil étant en mode PLAY(la DEL PLAY/PAUSE s’allume),

appuyez sur la touche FLY CUE (5) au point où vous voulez introduire

le POINT DE REPÈRE (l’appareil continuera à jouer). Maintenant, le

POINT DE REPÈRE est mémorisé. Appuyez sur la touche RETOUR (7) et

l’appareil commencera la lecture immédiatement à partir du POINT DE

REPÈRE. Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche REPÈRE (10) pour

revenir au POINT DE REPÈRE mémorisé dans le mode PAUSE, puis,

appuyez sur la touche LECTURE/PAUSE (6) pour commencer la

lecture instantanément à partir du POINT DE REPÈRE.

plage. Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche CUE 1/PREVIEW (16) pour

revenir au POINT DE REPÈRE mémorisé dans le mode PAUSE, puis,

appuyez sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE (6) pour commencer la lecture à

partir du POINT DE REPÈRE. Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche

RETURN (15) pour revenir au POINT DE REPÈRE mémorisé et pour

commencer la lecture immédiatement à partir de ce point (si la boucle n’a

pas été mémorisée).

REMARQUE: LE FAIT DE PAUSER LE CÔTÉ DE LECTURE À MI-CHEMIN D’UNE PISTE CAUSE

LA LECTURE DE L’AUTRE CÔTÉ. QUAND LA PISTE SE TERMINE, LA LECTURE

COMMENCERA À PARTIR DU MI-CHEMIN DE LA PISTE OÙ LA LECTURE S’EST PAUSÉE.

SOLUTION DES PANNES:

•

Si le disque ne joue pas, vérifiez si le disque a été chargé

convenablement (étiquette en haut). Vérifiez également si le disque ne

contient pas trop de saletés, égratignures, etc.

Si le disque tourne mais il n’y a pas de son, vérifiez le branchement des

câbles. S’il n’y a rien d’anormal, contrôlez votre amplificateur ou

récepteur.

Si le disque compacte saute, contrôlez le disque pour la présence de

saletés ou d’égratignures. Ne supposez pas que le lecteur DC est

défectueux. De nombreux DC sont enregistrés en dehors des

spécifications et ils sauteront sur la plupart ou sur tous les lecteurs DC.

Avant d’envoyer l’appareil pour réparation, essayer de jouer un DC dont

vous êtes certain qu’il joue convenablement.

SUGGESTION: POUR ÉVITER TOUTE CONFUSION LORSQUE VOUS ENREGISTREZ VOS

POINTS DE REPÈRE, GARDEZ L’AFFICHAGE DU TEMPS DANS LE MODE TEMPS ÉCOULÉ.

LORSQUE VOUS UTILISEZ LES TOUCHES DIRECT ACCESS (ACCÈS DIRECT) POUR

ÉTABLIR UN POINT DE REPÈRE, LA PLAGE, LA MINUTE, LA SECONDE ET LA TRAME

APPARTIENNENT TOUJOURS AU TEMPS ÉCOULÉ. SI L’AFFICHAGE DU TEMPS EST EN

MODE TRACK REMAIN (TEMPS RESTANT SUR LA PLAGE) OU EN MODE TOTAL REMAIN

(TEMPS TOTAL RESTANT SUR LE DISQUE), LA PLAGE, LA MINUTE, LA SECONDE ET LA

TRAME AFFICHÉES CORRESPONDRONT AU TEMPS RESTANT SUR LA PLAGE EN COURS

DE LECTURE ET NON PAS AUX INDICATIONS (PLAGE, MINUTE, ONDE ET TRAME) QUE

VOUS AVEZ INDIQUÉES AFIN DE MÉMORISER VOTRE POINT DE REPÈRE.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR ROBO START

EN MODE SINGLE-AUTO CUE:

Utilisez ROBO START (21) en MODE SINGLE-AUTO CUE pour alterner

la reproduction entre les deux joueurs de CD-1800X DC (une piste d’un

côté, puis l’autre de l’autre côté). Dans le Mode SINGLE-AUTO CUE, la

reproduction commence immédiatement sans espace blanc ou “mort”.

ROBO START cause la reproduction d’un côté du lecteur de DC

tandis que l’autre est au repos.

1. Engagez le mode AUTO CUE-SINGLE avec la touche AUTO CUE-

SINGLE/CONTINUOUS (18).

2. Appuyez sur la touche ROBO START (21) pour activer ROBO START.

La reproduction alternera entre les deux lecteurs de DC. A la fin d’une

piste, le côté de reproduction se met au repos et le côté de reproduction

se met en pause et le premier côté se remet à reproduire.

EN MODE CONTINU OU DURANT LA LECTURE

NORMALE:

Si vous utilisez ROBO START sans AUTO CUE SINGLE mode (en

mode CONTINU ou durant la lecture normale), la lecture alternera

automatiquement. Le fait de presser Pause sur le côté qui joue causera

la lecture de l’autre côté.

1. Durant la lecture normale, mettez un point de référence sur l’autre côté

du lecteur DC.
