SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR  
SUNBEAM HAIRDRYER  
• This hairdryer must not come into contact with  
water or any other liquid.  
• Always switch off your hairdryer at the power  
outlet and remove the plug when not in use.  
• Do not store your hairdryer near tubs, basins,  
baths or other vessels containing water or any  
other liquid.  
• When the hairdryer is used in the bathroom,  
unplug it after use as the proximity of water  
presents a hazard even when the unit is  
switched off.

any hot surface.  
• Do not operate any electrical appliance with  
a damaged cord or after the appliance has  
been damaged in any manner. If damage is  
suspected, return the appliance to the nearest

• Always use your appliance from a power  
outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked  
on the appliance.  
• This appliance is not intended for use by young  
children or infirm persons unless they have  
been adequately supervised by a responsible  
adult to ensure that they can use the appliance  
safely.  
• For additional protection, Sunbeam  
recommend the use of a residual current  
device (RCD) with a tripping current not  
exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit  
supplying power to your appliances.  
• Do not immerse the appliance in water  
or any other liquid unless recommended.

Using your Ionic 1800W Hairdryer  
The controls  
Using your dryer  
• Your dryer has two heat and two speed  
settings. This combination allows for  
greater versatility and control when drying  
and styling your hair.  
• Setting I produces a lower temperature  
and gentle airflow for greater control when  
styling.  
• After shampooing and conditioning your  
hair, squeeze excess moisture from the hair  
using a dry towel.  
• Comb hair free of tangles using a wide  
tooth comb.  
• Plug your dryer into a power outlet and turn  
on the power.  
• Setting II produces a higher temperature  
and stronger airflow and is ideal for fast  
drying.  
• The cool shot setting provides a burst  
of cool air to set the style in place once  
styled.  
• Select the desired setting and using your  
fingers, dry hair from roots to ends.  
• Use the concentrator nozzle on specific  
areas of the hair for spot drying or styling.  
• Use the diffuser on naturally curly, wavy or  
permed hair. The vented fingers take warm  
air directly to the root of the hair to add  
extra volume.  
• The concentrator nozzle and diffuser simply  
click into place. To remove pull them off.  
• Always hold the dryer at least 30 cm away  
from the hair when drying.  
Warning – The diffuser may become hot after  
extended use. Allow to cool before removing  
or storing.  
Ionic Technology  
• The built in ionic generator automatically  
produces a constant stream of negative  
ions whenever the hairdryer is in use.  
• The ion indicator light will light up whilst  
your dryer is in use.

Care and Cleaning  
• Turn your hairdryer off after use. Always  
turn the power off and remove the plug  
before cleaning.  
• Click back into position before using again.  
• Clean the inside of the cover regularly to  
maximize the life of the dryer.  
• Do not immerse the hairdryer in water or  
any other liquid.  
• Do not wind the cord around the dryer as  
this may strain and damage the wiring.  
• To clean the exterior, simply wipe over with  
a dampened cloth and wipe dry.  
• Pull off the removable cover and remove  
any hair and lint from the grille.
