18.2 Battery maintenance
(1) Your new battery should undergo 2 to 3 full cycles of charge-discharge in order to
reach the optimal performance (charge for 12 hours and discharge to low-voltage prompt).
(2) You can recharge your battery for hundreds of times, but it will eventually decline in
performance. You need to replace a new battery if its service hours decline dramatically.
(3) Disconnect your charger from power supply when not used. Do not connect your
battery to the charger for over a week or else its lifespan will be greatly shortened.
(4) In order to prolong your battery life, discharge your battery properly by using it till your
phone powers off by itself. Do not try to discharge your battery in unauthorized way.
(5) Your phone will give you an alert sound when the battery capacity is low and a few
minutes later, power off automatically as the battery becomes exhausted.
(6) It is highly recommended that you replace your battery after 18 months and dispose it
properly according to local regulations on battery recycling.
