automatically mute. The volume buttons can be used to control the
volume to your headphones.
Setting up your speakers
We recommend that you place these speakers as far apart as possible
in the listening area. For example, when the speakers are connected
to a computer, place the left speaker on the far left corner of your
desktop and the right speaker on the far right corner of your desktop.

Connecting to a second audio device
The auxiliary input jack lets you connect a second audio source to
your speakers. For example, if your speakers are connected to your
computer and you want to connect your MP3 player. This second
source will override your computer connection while it’s plugged in.
To connect a second audio source:
•
Plug a cable from the second audio source into the headphone output
jack on the second audio source, then plug the other connector into the
3.5 mm AUX Input jack on the right speaker.
Using the microphone pass-through connection
This feature lets you connect a microphone to the speaker and have
the audio input go to your computer. This pass-through feature is the
same as connecting a microphone directly to your computer.
To use the microphone pass-through connection:

Plug a microphone cable into the microphone input jack on the side of
the right speaker, then connect a cable from the MIC OUT jack on the back
of the right speaker to the microphone jack on the computer.

Using your speakers
To use your speakers:

Plug the AC power adapter into a power outlet, then plug the DC
connector into the DC jack on the back of the right speaker.
Plug the green audio connector into the audio source.
Press the power button to turn on the speakers.

Turn on the audio source, then adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
The speakers will not turn on The AC power adapter is not connected to the speaker and the power outlet.
The power is not turned on.
Make sure that the power outlet or power strip you are using is actually getting power.
The speaker does not
produce sound
Make sure that the speakers are getting power (see above steps).
The volume setting is too low. Turn up the master volume control on the speakers.
Check all cable connections.
Make sure that your music source is functioning correctly. (See more on this below.)
The sound is distorted
Turn the volume down. If this does not work, check the volume of the computer, or other audio
device you are using, and decrease if necessary.
Adjust the computer’s master volume control by balancing the sound level until it is centered,
then adjust the volume levels on the speakers.
Checking your sound source
You may believe that the speakers are not working, when, in fact, the
sound source may be the problem. When connecting to a computer,
the most common problem is an incorrect connection. Make sure
that you are connected to the audio output jack from your computer
sound card (usually green). Also, make sure that your CD or DVD drive
is playing and the volume settings are turned up and not muted. If
you still have problems, disconnect the speaker source cable from
your computer and connect it to any device with a mini headphone
jack, such as a digital music player. If your speakers work on the other
source, the speakers are functioning correctly and the problem is in
your computer or the connections.

1 Year Limited Warranty
Rocketfish Products (“Rocketfish”) warrants to you, the original purchaser of this new RF-2990
(“Product”), that the Product shall be free of defects in the original manufacture of the material
or workmanship for one (1) year from the purchase of the Product (“Warranty Period”). This
Product must be purchased from an authorized dealer of Rocketfish brand products and
packaged with this warranty statement. This warranty does not cover refurbished Product. If
you notify Rocketfish during the Warranty Period of a defect covered by this warranty that
requires service, terms of this warranty apply.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period lasts for one year (365 days), beginning on the date you purchased the
Product. The purchase date is printed on the receipt you received with the Product.
What does this warranty cover?
During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the material or workmanship of the
Product is determined to be defective by an authorized Rocketfish repair center or store
personnel, Rocketfish will (at its sole option): (1) repair the Product with new or rebuilt parts; or
(2) replace the Product at no charge with new or rebuilt comparable products or parts. Products
and parts replaced under this warranty become the property of Rocketfish and are not returned
to you. If service of Products and parts are required after the Warranty Period expires, you must
pay all labor and parts charges. This warranty lasts as long as you own your Rocketfish Product
during the Warranty Period. Warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the
Product.
How to obtain warranty service?
If you purchased the Product at a retail store location, take your original receipt and the Product
to the store you purchased it from. Make sure that you place the Product in its original
packaging or packaging that provides the same amount of protection as the original
packaging. If you purchased the Product from an online web site, mail your original receipt and
the Product to the address listed on the web site. Make sure that you put the Product in its

Connexion à un deuxième périphérique audio
La prise d’entrée auxiliaire permet de connecter une deuxième
source audio aux haut-parleurs. Par exemple, si les haut-parleurs sont
connectés à l’ordinateur et qu’un lecteur de MP3 doit être aussi
connecté. Cette seconde source désactive la connexion à l’ordinateur
tant qu’elle est branchée.
Pour connecter à une deuxième source audio :
•
Brancher un câble de la deuxième source audio sur la prise de sortie du
casque d’écoute de la seconde source audio, puis brancher l’autre
connecteur sur la prise d’entrée AUX de 3,5 mm du haut-parleur droit.
Utilisation de la connexion directe pour le microphone
Cette fonctionnalité permet de connecter un microphone au
haut-parleur et d’avoir l’entrée audio sur l’ordinateur. Cette
fonctionnalité de connexion directe est identique à la connexion
directe d’un microphone à l’ordinateur.
Pour utiliser la connexion directe du microphone :

Connecter le câble d’un microphone à la prise d’entrée microphone sur

Utilisation des haut-parleurs
Pour utiliser les haut-parleurs :

Brancher l’adaptateur CA sur une prise secteur, puis le connecteur CC sur
la prise CC à l’arrière du haut-parleur droit.

Appuyer sur Power (Marche/Arrêt) pour mettre les haut-parleurs sous
tension.

Vérification de la source sonore
Les haut-parleurs peuvent paraître ne pas fonctionner, alors qu’en fait
le problème vient de la source sonore. Lors de la connexion à un
ordinateur, le problème le plus courant provient d’une connexion
incorrecte. Vérifier qu’ils sont bien connectés à la prise de sortie audio
de la carte son de l’ordinateur (en général verte). Vérifier également
que le lecteur de CD ou de DVD fonctionne et que le réglage du
volume est suffisamment élevé et qu’il n’est pas mis en sourdine. Si
les problèmes persistent, déconnecter le câble source du
haut-parleur de l’ordinateur et le connecter à un autre périphérique

(« Produit »), qu’il est exempt de vices de fabrication et de main-d’œuvre à l’origine, pour une
période d’un (1) an à partir de la date d’achat du Produit (« Période de garantie »). Ce Produit
doit avoir été acheté chez un revendeur agréé des produits de la marque Rocketfish et emballé
avec cette déclaration de garantie. Cette garantie ne couvre pas les Produits remis à neuf. Les
conditions de la présente garantie s’appliquent à tout Produit pour lequel Rocketfish est notifié
pendant la Période de garantie, d’un vice couvert par cette garantie qui nécessite une

Conexión a un segundo equipo de audio
El toma de entrada auxiliar le permite conectar una segunda fuente
de audio a sus altavoces. Por ejemplo, si sus altavoces están
conectados a su computadora y desea conectar su reproductor de
MP3. Esta segunda fuente tomará control de la conexión de su
computadora mientras esté conectada.
Para conectar un segundo equipo de audio:

Conecte un cable de una segunda fuente de audio en el toma de salida
de auriculares en la segunda fuente de audio y conecte el otro conector
en el toma de entrada AUX de 3.5 mm en el altavoz derecho.
Uso de la conexión de paso de micrófono
Esta función le permite conectar un micrófono al altavoz y conectar la
entrada de audio a su computadora. Esta función de paso es la misma
que conectar un micrófono directamente a su computadora.
Para usar la conexión de paso de micrófono:

Localización y corrección de fallas
Problema
Solución
Los altavoces no encienden. El adaptador de alimentación CA no está conectado al altavoz y al tomacorriente.
La unidad no está encendida.
Asegúrese de que el tomacorriente o la barra de alimentación que está usando tiene corriente.
El altavoz no produce sonido Asegúrese de que los altavoces reciben alimentación (refiérase a los pasos anteriores).
El nivel de volumen es demasiado bajo. Suba el control de volumen principal de los altavoces.
Compruebe todas las conexiones de los cables.
Asegúrese de que su fuente de música esté funcionando correctamente. (Más sobre esto a

El sonido está distorsionado Baje el volumen. Si esto no funciona, revise el volumen de la computadora o de cualquier otro

en su fabricación original por un periodo de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de compra del
Producto (“Período de Garantía”). Este Producto debe ser comprado en un distribuidor
autorizado de productos de la marca Rocketfish y empacado con esta declaración de garantía.
Esta garantía no cubre Productos reacondicionados. Si notifica a Rocketfish durante el Período
