Intended Usage  
The Measuring Tape with Marking  
Laser serves for the measuring of  
lengths. Additionally, a horizontal or  
a vertical line can be projected. The  
Measuring Tape with Marking Laser  
is intended for private domestic use  
only, do not use it for commercial  
purposes.

• Open the battery compartment µ.  
• Ensure that the tape used to  
remove the batteries lies under-  
neath the batteries.

• Insert the batteries into the bat-  
tery compartment as shown on  
the battery compartment lid µ.  
• Close the battery compartment lid.  
Using the measuring tape  
With the measuring tape you can  
read off measurements of length in  
the metric system or in the Anglo/  
American system. The upper scale  
shows lengths in feet and inches,  
the lower scale in meters and centi-  
meters.  
• Pull out the measuring tape to  
the length required.

• Restrain the measuring tape ,  
in that you slide the tape lock ᕢ  
downwards.  
ƽ Injury hazard!  
Never allow the measuring tape ᕣ  
to rewind itself without control.  
• When you want to rewind the  
measuring tape , hold the end  
firmly and slide the tape lock ᕢ  
upwards.  
• Now permit the measuring tape  
to rewind slowly, without letting  
go of it.

Using the laser  
ƽ Injury Hazard!  
• NEVER direct the laser beam at  
people or animals. NEVER look  
directly into the laser. The laser  
can cause serious eye damage.  
• Do NOT direct the laser beam  
at strongly reflective material.  
Reflected laser beams are also  
dangerous.  
Using the laser with a tripod  
The tripod is not supplied. You can  
use a standard commercial tripod  
with a 3/8“ thread (for example,  
a camera tripod).

• Screw the measuring tape onto  
the tripod with the tripod thread  
.  
• Adjust the tripod to the required  
height.  
• Align the Measuring Tape with  
Marking Laser such that the bub-  
bles in the spirit levels and ᕦ  
lie exactly between the markings.  
Tilt and incline the tripod to do  
this.  
• Press the On/Off switch ¸ to  
activate the laser.  
• Turn the covering flap all the  
way to the left or right, dependant  
on whether you wish to project  
a vertical or a horizontal line.

• Direct the laser line onto the  
desired wall.  
If you direct the laser beam in hori-  
zontal adjustment into a corner,  
the laser beams on both walls and  
in the corner are at exactly the same  
distance from the floor (see Fig.2:  
3 Point measurement).

Using the laser without a tripod  
• Place the Measuring Tape with  
Marking Laser on the levellest  
possible surface.

• Press the On/Off switch ¸ to  
activate the laser.  
• Adjust the Measuring Tape with  
Marking Laser, with the assistance  
of the foot screws , such that  
the bubbles in the spirit levels ᕥ  
and lie exactly between the  
markings. If you screw out the  
foot screw a little further, you  
can project the laser line somewhat  
higher.  
• Direct the laser line onto the  
desired wall.  
• Turn the covering flap all the  
way to the left or right, dependant  
on whether you wish to project  
a vertical or a horizontal line.

Cleaning and Care  
• Clean the appliance with a lightly  
moist cloth. Never use aggressive  
cleansers. They can damage the  
surfaces.  
• Do not permit fluids to permeate  
into the interior of the appliance.  
Disposal  
Do not dispose of the appliance  
in your normal domestic  
waste.

Dispose of the appliance through an  
approved disposal centre or at your  
community waste facility.  
Observe the currently applicable re-  
gulations. In case of doubt, consult  
your local disposal facility.  
Disposing of batteries!  
Batteries must not be disposed of in  
the household waste. Every consumer  
is legally obliged to dispose of batte-  
ries at a collection site of his commu-  
nity/city district or at a retail store.  
This obligation is intended to ensure  
that batteries are disposed of in an  
environmentally safe fashion. Only  
dispose of batteries when they are  
fully discharged.
