Thank you for purchasing a Keurig - Platinum B70 Gourmet Single Cup Home  
Brewing System.  
IMPORTANT: You cannot use your Keurig Brewer until it has been primed for its first use  
as set forth below. Please follow these easy steps and you will discover what Deliciously  
Simple® truly means.  
Please note, if your Brewer has been exposed to temperatures below freezing, it is recommended you  
allow two hours for an unpacked Brewer to warm to room temperature before priming or brewing.  
h. The one-time priming process is now complete and  
you are ready to brew!  
1. Unpacking the Platinum B70 Brewer  
a. Carefully remove the Brewer by placing the box on  
its side, pulling the Brewer out of the box and  
removing the protective materials.  
b. Place the Brewer upright on a flat surface. Remove  
adhesive tape from Brewer.  
NOTE: The Brewer may take 15-30 seconds to reheat  
between brews and the LCD Control Center will  
indicate 'NOT READY'. During this time the pump  
may cause a vibration noise. This is normal. The  
LCD Control Center will indicate 'READY TO BREW'  
once the water has heated and the Brewer is ready.  
c. Unwrap cord and plug Brewer into a grounded outlet.  
2. Priming  
a. Place a 12 oz. mug on the Drip Tray Plate.

b. Remove the Water Reservoir from the Brewer by  
first removing the Lid from the Water Reservoir,  
then lifting the Water Reservoir straight up and  
toward the front of the Brewer. Rinse and fill with  
bottled or filtered water. Replace the Water Reservoir  
back on the Brewer and replace the Lid.  
c. Press and release the Power switch behind the Brewer  
to turn the Brewer on. Blue lights in the Water  
Reservoir and LCD Control Center will become illumi-  
nated.  
a. Place a cup or mug on the Drip Tray Plate.  
b. Select a K-Cup® portion pack.  
Do not remove the foil lid.  
4. Brew  
a. Lift the Handle, place the K-Cup in the K-Cup Holder  
Assembly and then push the Handle all the way  
down to puncture the K-Cup.  
Please be careful to avoid the sharp needles in the  
K-Cup Assembly Housing & Lid.  
b. All brew size icons are lit with the default size flash-  
ing. To choose a different size, press ‘LEFT’ to go  
down in size or ‘RIGHT’ to go up in size.  
d. The LCD Control Center will indicate ‘PRIME’ and  
the Brew button will flash. Please note, a  
K-Cup® portion pack should NOT be used for the  
Priming Sequence.  
NOTE: The small mug (7.25 oz. serving) is the  
factory set default brew size. To program your  
favorite brew size, see page 11 in the Use & Care  
Guide “Programming Your Brew Size”.  
e. Press the flashing ‘BREW’ button.  
f. The Brewer will automatically fill (priming it) and then  
the water will be heated. This will take about 4 minutes.  
During the heating period the ‘NOT READY’ indicator  
will be on. When the water is heated ‘BREW’ will be  
displayed and the Brew button will flash.  
g. Press the ‘BREW’ button to start a cleansing brew,  
during which hot water will flow into your cup or  
mug. Discard the hot water.  
c. Once size is chosen, press ‘BREW’ button. Brew but-  
ton will stop flashing and icon of brew size will be lit.  
NOTE: Choosing a smaller cup size will brew  
stronger tasting coffee/tea/hot cocoa.
