• Fit the four grommets on the mat onto the pegs on the
larger feet, as shown.
• Insert a screw through each of the four grommets and into
the pegs. Tighten the screws.

Keyboard
• Position the base so the bottom is facing you.
• Slide the two larger feet into the grooves in the base, as
shown. Be sure you do not pinch the mat when you
attach the feet.
• Slide the two smaller feet into the grooves in the base,
as shown.

• “Snap” the keyboard on the base.
• Pull up on the keyboard to be sure it is secure.

Battery Safety Information
Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn
injury or ruin your toy. To avoid battery leakage:
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different
types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
Dispose of batteries safely.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
The batteries may explode or leak.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type,
as recommended.
For best performance, we recommend that you replace
the batteries that came with this toy, with three,
new “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries.
• Locate the battery compartment on the underside
of the keyboard.
• Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door.
Remove the battery compartment door.
• Insert three “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer life.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten
the screws.
• When lights, sounds or motions from this toy become faint
or stop, it’s time for an adult to change the batteries!
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy
before charging.
• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used,
they are only to be charged under adult supervision.

three songs plays as the monkey dances along with

guitar to hear a solo from each instrument.

• When your child sits, stands or dances on the mat, part of
a song plays as the monkey dances along with flashing
lights. Press the mat again to hear more.
• Press the keyboard or drum, bat the horns or slide the
guitar to add that instrument to the song. Hit that
instrument again to take it out of the mix.
Freeplay
• When your child sits, stands or dances on the mat, a lively
beat starts. The monkey dances along with flashing lights.
• Press the keys to hear individual notes.
• Slide the guitar, bat the horns or tap the drum to hear a
short riff from each instrument.

Adjusting Keyboard Height
You can adjust the height of the keyboard for sitting
babies or standing toddlers.
• Locate both latches on the base. Rotate the latches back
(toward the monkey), and hold them as you raise or lower
the keyboard. When the keyboard "snaps" in place,
release the latches.
