THGnotebook is a portable version of the Finisar THGs system, a fully
integrated analyzer plus monitoring tool for 10/100/1Gb Ethernet with full-
line rate and full-duplex capability. The THGnotebook System is designed
specifically for mobile Network Field Service, Support and Sales Engineers
who require mobility and power while troubleshooting or servicing high-
performance client networks onsite or in equipment closets across the
enterprise. The system brings the power of Finisar’s full-line rate rack mount
hardware analyzer into a lightweight, small footprint undercarriage to be
used with a notebook computer. THGnotebook is simply the most powerful
portable Ethernet analyzer available anywhere. With THGnotebook, Field
engineers are no longer limited to using laptop based, software-only
analyzers; or cumbersome “luggable,” PC based analyzers to solve the most
elusive network problems.

THGnotebook features 7-layer packet decode and analysis, including real-
time network statistics, advanced alarm setting and actions, multi-state
pattern-match filters, and automatic name table updating. THGnotebook
provides detailed and accurate 7-layer protocol decode capabilities –
allowing analysis of hundreds of network protocols including the emerging
iSCSI and iFCP SAN protocols. THGnotebook undercarriage and notebook
computer package is lightweight, comes complete with a leather carrying
case, and meets airline carry-on requirements.
THGnotebook provides a cost effective full-power portable solution for
