INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not allow the master cylinder to completely drain of brake fluid at any time during this process.
Also, use care when handling brake fluid, as it can quickly damage finished surfaces (paint, plating, etc.).
1. Unplug horn and remove horn and dust shield. Remove factory brake hoses. Remove junction block bracket from
fork tree. Cap off master cylinder and caliper ports.
2. Install wide banjo ends of Russell Left and Right hoses onto their respective calipers. Use factory banjo bolt from
master cylinder to install Right hose. Route hoses behind front fairing up to master cylinder.
3. Install thin banjo ends of Russell hoses onto master cylinder, using supplied double banjo bolt, so that Right hose
is on top and to outside of Left hose, and Left hose is next to fork (See Fig. 1).
4. Secure hoses to right-side junction block bracket mounting hole on fork tree with supplied cushion clamp and
factory bolt (See Fig. 2).
5. Secure hoses to fender at factory locations with factory plastic retainer rings around grommets on hoses.
6. Reinstall horn and dust shield. Plug in horn.
7. Check hose clearance throughout entire steering and suspension travel range.
