Canon Camcorder 3i MC User Manual

Canon MV3i MC
A beautiful palm-sized video in a class of its own, the MV3iMC, is a
wonderful new addition to Canon's digital video range. MV3iMC
incorporates an array of miniaturization innovations to set new
standards in image quality, compactness and versatility. It is the first
Canon digital video to take advantage of the MultiMediaCard. By
inserting this card into the camcorder's built-in slot, you can take
digital still snaps using the MV3iMC's Photo button. These images
can then be directly transferred from the card to your computer
without the need for connecting cables, and the search and edit
options contained on the MultiMediaCard also open up a range of
image combination possibilities. Weighing about the same as a can
of soft drink, MV3iMC gives you all the functions and usability you
want in an ultra compact, stylish all-metal cased, hand-sized
package. A camcorder and digital still camera rolled into one,
Canon's MV3iMC offers exceptional value. The compact design of
MV3iMC is contributed to by signal processing LSI and Canon's
second-generation interior working (mechachassis) along with a slim
lithium-ion battery and repositioning of switches. MV3i features an
improved RGB progressive scan CCD for excellent color
reproduction, and is ideal for users who want to use the camcorder
as a digital stills camera. Using progressive scanning, MV3iMC
camcorder reads and isolates information frame by frame. Sharp still
images are then recorded at a speed of 25 full-frame images per
second - ideal for fast moving subjects. If user wants to be sure to
capture the best moments, the progressive scan mode makes it
possible to record the moving image and then choose the desired
still image(s) from the recorded tape. The MV3 series has a new
3-element stereo microphone system, which enhances the capacity
to minimize the voice of the operator, therefore creating a more
equal balance with the voice of the person being filmed. This new
microphone system is located on top of the camcorder, thus
contributing further to the compact size of these camcorders. The
MV3 series also feature an audio dubbing function. With this feature
it is possible to create or replace commentary or music to footage
allowing for personalized films.
