Nicad Charging
! CAUTION
Plug charger into wall socket and cord into
Batteries which are (1) loaded without
observing the proper polarity, (2) not the
same type, brand name and age or (3)
completely discharged can vent hydrogen
gas and possibly cause an explosion.
Load batteries according to the diagram
shown on the light or in these instructions.
Do not mix batteries of different type,
brand name or age.
socket located on end of battery. Charge 10-12
hours or until the battery begins to feel warm.
stored for several months will need to be charged and discharged several
time for maximum burn time to return.
Switch
Pull the switch lock outward as shown. Rotate the switch counterclock-
wise to turn the light on. It will take approximately 20 seconds for the light to
come to full brightness. Rotate the switch clockwise to turn the light off. You
must wait at least 3 seconds before turning the light back on again or it will
not light. Push the switch lock inward when the light is off in order to pre-
vent accidental activation. NOTE: Turning the light ON and OFF often will
shorten the life of the lamp slightly. It is better to leave the Light Cannon 100
ON than to switch it ON and OFF repeatidly during a dive.
Thank You
Thank you for purchasing the Light Cannon 100. It is a major advance-
ment in hand held lighting. Unlike standard flashlights, the lamp does not
use a glowing filament of tungsten for the light source. Instead, light is
emitted from a very small glowing ball of ionized gas. As a result you will
get 3 times as much light from a set of batteries and the light will be much
whiter enabling it to travel farther underwater.

Main O-ring
O-ring Care
Loading Batteries
Each time the case is closed, make sure that the Main O-ring is clean and
the sealing surfaces it touches are clean and free from scratches. Lightly
grease the O-ring with silicone grease, place it on the case and screw the
bezel down tightly to compress the O-ring.
Load 8 alkaline C-cell batteries into the light as shown in the diagram.
When inserting the contact plate be sure to observe the alignment
arrows. Make sure the + and - contacts of the batteries match the + and -
marked in the light. If any cell is loaded backwards, the light will not turn
on. Insert the lamp module and reflector. Make sure the O-ring is clean.
Screw on the bezel until it is tight and compresses the O-ring.
Push In to Lock
Pull Out to Unlock

Do not open reflector module when con-
nected to batteries or power supply.

8 Alkaline C-Cell Batteries
AGA-2 fuse
located under plate
Remove the Reflector and Lamp Module from the Light Cannon case.
Unscrew the two screws from the rear plate on the Lamp Module. Remove
the fuse from the socket. If the filament in the fuse appears broken or the
glass is blackened the fuse is burned out and should be replaced with the
spare AGA-2 fuse stored in the Lamp Module. New fuses are available at
hardware and auto parts stores. Insert the replacement fuse in the socket,
replace the rear plate using the two screws.

Rechargeable Batteries and UK Rechargeable Nicad Pack
Dropping the LC100 onto a
hard surface may break the
lamp or knock it loose from its
socket. If the light is dropped
push the lamp back into the
socket to reduce the chance of
breakage if the light is dropped
again.
In addition to disposable alkaline batteries the LC-100 can also be pow-
ered by the UK Rechargeable Nicad Pack or 8 individual C-size recharge-
able nicad or NiMH cells.
Wide Angle Filters
Align rib on lamp
base with slot in
socket
When using the UK Rechargeable Nicad Pack, the spring contact plate
should be removed from the case. Use the spring supplied with the Nicad
Pack. The rechargeable battery pack is charged by inserting the charge
plug from the charger into the socket on the end of the battery pack.
Charge the pack 10-12 hours or until the pack begins to feel warm. For
maximum burn time charge the pack immediately before use. It is not nec-
essary to completely discharge the battery pack before recharging. Less
time will be required to charge a partially discharged pack. A battery pack
Lamp Replacement
Wait until the lamp is cool in the Lamp Module. Remove
the reflector. Pull the glass tube straight out. Insert the new
lamp into the lamp module so that (1) the two pins at the base
of the lamp line up with the holes in the lamp socket, and (2)
the rib on the side of lamp base lines up with the slot in the
socket. Push lamp gently into the socket. Insertion of the lamp
in reverse will severely shorten the life.
Wide Angle Video Filter
The LC100 can be used as a video light. For wide smooth illumination open
the LC100 and insert one or two Wide Angle Filter disks in front of the reflec-
tor (as shown in drawing) before replacing the Bezel. Each filter makes the
beam wider to match the coverage of a medium wide angle lens. The color
temperature of the light will be similar to daylight.
It is best to ship the LC100
with batteries in the light.
When shipping the LC100 with-
out batteries, remove the Lamp
Module and pack it separately
in a padded container.
