dis appear during this initial
us e.

Slide the drip tray (e) two-thirds of the way onto
the grooves at the bottom of the grill bas e (d).
WATER DRIP TRAY
– The water in the drip pan reduces s moke and odors produced during
grilling. Any juices or fats which are produced during grilling will fall down
into the water in the drip pan, and are cooled immediately.
– The water level s hould be clos ely monitored during grilling. There s hould
always be a s ufficient water level in the drip tray (between “MINI” and
“MAXI” marks ).
– Replenis h water when neces s ary.
– To add water, partially withdraw the drip tray us ing an oven mitt, add
water and replace drip tray.
3
Note: It is very important
that the water level is kept
between the “MINI” and
“MAXI” pos ition at all times .
Us ing a pitcher of water, fill drip tray with water
until water reaches the “MAXI” mark.
Slide drip tray (e) fully into pos ition (figure 4).
GRIDDLE RACK
– The griddle rack is ideal for cooking s uch items as bacon, pancakes ,
or grilled s andwiches . Since the griddle rack has four drainage s lots in
the corners to help drain exces s fat, it s hould not be us ed for cooking
“loos e” or “watery” foods that could eas ily run off the cooking s urface
of the rack.
Note: If the drip tray is not
correctly pos itioned in place,
the grill will not function.
– Remove the grill rack in order to place the griddle rack on the unit. Only
one rack, either the grill or the griddle s hould be on the unit at one time.
– When us ing the griddle rack a non-s tick s pray is recommended for opti-
mal performance.
4
The grilling time will vary
depending on the thicknes s
and s ize of the food. Be
s ure to turn food s everal
times during grilling to pro-
mote even cooking through-
out.
