1-way remote control

Feature

Description

Remote Start:Press for one second to activate remote start.

Shut Off Remote Start:Press and hold for 3 seconds to deactivate

the remote start.

Unlock: Press for one second to unlock. (Will only work if remote

start is active)

Basic Commands

Remote Start

Press and release the button.

Activates the remote starter. The vehicle's parking lights or hazard lights

turn ON to conﬁrm remote start signal has been received.

The runtime on the remote starter is predetermined based on vehicle

application. The remote starter will shut down when the preset runtime

times out or when any shutdown zone becomes active.

Refer to the Quick Reference Guide for more information.

Note

Unlock

Press and release the button.

Unlock function will only work when the vehicle is remote started. The

vehicle responds by ﬂashing the parking lights twice to conﬁrm unlock-

ing.

Shut Off Remote Start

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds.

The vehicle shuts down from the remote start mode.

The remote starter will also shut down when the preset runtime times out

or when any shutdown zone becomes active.

Additional Remotes

This device does not support end user programming. To add a new

remote, please consult your local 12-volt retailer to have one pro-

grammed for you.

Remote Start Features

Refer to the Quick Reference Guide for more information on

remote start features that are speciﬁc to each vehicle.

Disabling Remote Start

Remote start can be disabled by moving the Toggle Switch to the On

position. If remote start is attempted while the toggle switch is On, the

engine will not start. Move the switch back to the Off position to resume

normal operation.

Consult your local 12-volt retailer for the location of Toggle

switch.

Battery information

Battery Information

The 7111L remote control is powered by a single coin cell battery

(CR-2032) that can be purchased at most retailers. When the batteries

weakens, the LED on the remote dims and operating range is reduced.

Battery Replacement

1. Hold the unit base with one hand and gently twist and pull the

main housing body with the other. This releases all parts of the

housing assembly.

2. Remove battery from clip and replace with a new one while ob-

serving the correct polarity.

3. Reassemble unit.

Installation

Due to the complexity of this system, installation of this product must only be performed

by an authorized Directed dealer. If you have any questions, ask your retailer or contact

Directed directly at 1-800-753-0600 or 1-800-361-7271 (Canada).

Remote Start Capable

When properly installed, this system can start the vehicle via a command signal from the

remote control transmitter. Therefore, never operate the system in an enclosed area or par-

tially enclosed area without ventilation (such as a garage). When parking in an enclosed

or partially enclosed area or when having the vehicle serviced, the remote start system must

be disabled using the installed toggle switch. It is the user’s sole responsibility to properly

handle and keep out of reach from children all remote control transmitters to assure that

the system does not unintentionally remote start the vehicle. THE USER MUST INSTALL

A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR IN OR ABOUT THE LIVING AREA ADJACENT

TO THE VEHICLE. ALL DOORS LEADING FROM ADJACENT LIVING AREAS TO THE

ENCLOSED OR PARTIALLY ENCLOSED VEHICLE STORAGE AREA MUST AT ALL TIMES

REMAIN CLOSED. These precautions are the sole responsibility of the user.

WARNING! It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the parking/emergency brake

properly functions. Failure to do so can result in personal injury or property damage. We

recommend the owner have the parking / emergency brake system inspected and adjusted

by a qualified automotive shop biannually.

Use of this product in a manner contrary to its intended mode of operation may result in

property damage, personal injury, or death. (1) Never remotely start the vehicle with the

vehicle in gear, and (2) Never remotely start the vehicle with the keys in the ignition. The

user must also have the neutral safety feature of the vehicle periodically checked, wherein

the vehicle must not remotely start while the car is in gear. This testing should be performed

by an authorized Directed dealer. If the vehicle starts in gear, cease remote start operation

immediately and consult with the authorized Directed dealer to fix the problem. All installa-

tions must be performed by an authorized Directed dealer.

OPERATION OF THE REMOTE START MODULE IF THE VEHICLE STARTS IN GEAR IS

CONTRARY TO ITS INTENDED MODE OF OPERATION. OPERATING THE REMOTE

START SYSTEM UNDER THESE CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE OR

PERSONAL INJURY. YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY CEASE THE USE OF THE UNIT AND SEEK

Interference

All radio devices are subject to interference which could affect proper performance.

Upgrades

Any upgrades to this product must be performed by an authorized Directed dealer. Do not

attempt to perform any unauthorized modifications to this product.

Water/Heat Resistance

This product is not designed to be water and/or heat-resistant. Please take care to keep

this product dry and away from heat sources. Any damage from water or heat will void

the warranty.

Limited Lifetime Consumer Warranty

Directed Electronics. (“Directed”) promises to the original purchaser to repair or replace (at

Directed’s election) with a comparable reconditioned model any Directed unit (hereafter the

“unit”), excluding without limitation the siren, the remote transmitters, the associated sensors

and accessories, which proves to be defective in workmanship or material under reason-

able use during the lifetime of the vehicle provided the following conditions are met: the

unit was purchased from an authorized Directed dealer, the unit was professionally installed

and serviced by an authorized Directed dealer; the unit will be professionally reinstalled in

the vehicle in which it was originally installed by an authorized Directed dealer; and the

unit is returned to Directed, shipping prepaid with a legible copy of the bill of sale or other

dated proof of purchase bearing the following information: consumer’s name, telephone

number and address; the authorized dealers name, telephone number and address; com-

plete product description, including accessories; the year, make and model of the vehicle;

vehicle license number and vehicle identification number. All components other than the

unit, including without limitation the siren, the remote transmitters and the associated sensors

and accessories, carry a one-year warranty from the date of purchase of the same. ALL

PRODUCTS RECEIVED BY DIRECTED FOR WARRANTY REPAIR WITHOUT PROOF OF

PURCHASE FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WILL BE DENIED. This warranty is non-

transferable and is automatically void if: the unit’s date code or serial number is defaced,

missing or altered; the unit has been modified or used in a manner contrary to its intended

purpose; the unit has been damaged by accident, unreasonable use, neglect, improper

service, installation or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or construction.

The warranty does not cover damage to the unit caused by installation or removal of the

unit. Directed, in its sole discretion, will determine what constitutes excessive damage and

may refuse the return of any unit with excessive damage.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING

BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXPRESS WARRANTY, IMPLIED WARRANTY, WARRANTY OF

MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTY OF NON-

INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED; AND

DIRECTED NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON OR ENTITY TO ASSUME

FOR IT ANY DUTY, OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ITS PRODUCTS.

DIRECTED DISCLAIMS AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL ACTS

OF THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING ITS AUTHORIZED DEALERS OR INSTALLERS. DIRECTED

SECURITY SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THIS UNIT, ARE DETERRENTS AGAINST POSSIBLE

THEFT. DIRECTED IS NOT OFFERING A GUARANTEE OR INSURANCE AGAINST

VANDALISM, DAMAGE OR THEFT OF THE AUTOMOBILE, ITS PARTS OR CONTENTS;

AND HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING

WITHOUT LIMITATION, LIABILITY FOR THEFT, DAMAGE AND/OR VANDALISM. THIS

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER LABOR COSTS FOR MAINTENANCE, REMOVAL OR

REINSTALLATION OF THE UNIT OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.

THE VENUE SHALL BE SAN DIEGO COUNTY IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

CALIFORNIA STATE LAWS AND APPLICABLE FEDERAL LAWS SHALL APPLY AND GOVERN

DEALER, OR IF THE UNIT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY ACCIDENT, UNREASONABLE USE,

NEGLIGENCE, ACTS OF GOD, NEGLECT, IMPROPER SERVICE, OR OTHER CAUSES

NOT ARISING OUT OF DEFECT IN MATERIALS OR CONSTRUCTION.

Démarrage à distance

Appuyer et relâcher le bouton.

Pour activer le démarreur à distance. La télécommande répond avec

la tonalité ON du démarrage à distance et la DEL verte de la télé-

commande clignote une fois. Les feux de stationnement du véhicule

s’allument de façon constante pour conﬁrmer que le signal du démar-

rage à distance a été reçu.

Le temps de fonctionnement du démarreur à distance est prédéterminé

selon l’application du véhicule. Le démarreur à distance d’éteindra

lorsque le temps de fonctionnement préréglé s’écoule ou lorsque toute

zone de désactivation est activée.

Désactiver le démarrage à distance

Le démarrage à distance peut être désactivé en déplaçant l’interrupteur

Information sur la batterie

Les télécommandes unidirectionnelles (7111L)sont alimentés par une

batterie bouton unique (CR-2032), qui peuvent être achetés dans la

Installation

Capacité de démarrage à distance

Directed Electronics (« Directed ») s’engage envers l’acheteur initial, à réparer ou remplacer

(selon le choix de Directed) par un dispositif comparable remis en état, tout dispositif

Directed (appelé ci-dessous le « dispositif ») à l’exclusion, et sans que ce soit limitatif, de

la sirène, des émetteurs de télécommande et des capteurs et accessoires associés, dans

le cas où le dispositif présenterait des vices de matériaux ou de fabrication après une

utilisation raisonnable pendant la durée de vie du véhicule, à condition que les conditions

suivantes soient remplies : le dispositif a été acheté auprès d’un détaillant agréé Directed ;

le dispositif a été installé par un professionnel et entretenu par un détaillant agréé Directed

; le dispositif sera réinstallé par un professionnel dans le véhicule dans lequel il avait été

installé à l’origine par un détaillant agréé Directed ; et le dispositif a été retourné à Directed

en port payé avec une copie lisible de la facture ou autre preuve d’achat datée portant les

informations suivantes : nom, numéro de téléphone et adresse de l’acheteur ; nom, numéro

de téléphone et adresse du détaillant agréé ; description complète du produit, y compris

des accessoires ; année, marque et modèle du véhicule ; numéro d’immatriculation et

numéro d’identification du véhicule. Tous les composants autres que le dispositif, y compris

et sans que ce soit limitatif, la sirène, les émetteurs de télécommande et les capteurs et

accessoires associés, bénéficient d’une garantie d’un an à compter de leur date d’achat.

Función

Descripción:

Arranque a distancia: Pulse durante un segundo activar el

arranque remoto.

Desactivar arranque remoto: Pulse y mantenga pulsado durante

3 segundos para desactivar el arranque remoto.

Abrir: Pulse durante un segundo para abrir. (Sólo funcionará si el

arranque remoto está activo).

Antena interna: Utilizada para transmitir y recibir información.

LED de Transmisión: LED de Transmitir parpadea cuando se trans-

mite y recibe información.

Arranque a distancia

Presione y suelte el botón.

Activa el arranque remoto. Las luces de estacionamiento o de emer-

gencia del vehículo encienden constante para conﬁrmar que se ha

recibido la señal de arranque remoto.

El tiempo de ejecución en el arrancador remoto es predeterminado ba-

sado en el uso del vehículo. El arrancador remoto se apagará cuando

se agota el tiempo de ejecución preestablecido o cuando se active

cualquier zona de apagado.

Presione y suelte el botón.

La función de abrir candados sólo funciona cuando el vehículo arranca

a remoto. El vehículo responde mediante el parpadeo de las luces de

estacionamiento dos veces para conﬁrmar el que abrió.

Apague el encendido remoto

Presione el botón y mantenga presionado durante 3 segundos.

El vehículo se apaga en el modo de arranque remoto. El arrancador

remoto también se apagará cuando se agota el tiempo de ejecución

preestablecido o cuando se active cualquier zona de apagado.

Desactivar el arranque remoto

El arranque remoto puede desactivarse moviendo el interruptor a la

normal.

Información acerca de baterías

El control remoto (7111L) es alimentado por una batería de celda de

moneda única (CR-2032). Cuando la batería se debilita, el LED en el

remoto se atenúa y el rango de operación se reduce.

Reemplazo de la batería

1. Sujete la unidad base con una mano y girar y tirar suavemente

el cuerpo de la caja principal con la otra. Esto libera todas las

piezas de la carcasa.

2. Retire la batería del sujetador y reemplazar por una nueva mien-

tras observa la polaridad correcta.

3. Vuelva a montar la unidad y ﬁje con su tornillo.

Apto para el encendido remoto

Cuando se instala adecuadamente, este sistema puede poner en marcha un vehículo a

través de una señal de comando desde un transmisor de control remoto. Por lo tanto,

nunca opere el sistema en un área cerrada o parcialmente cerrada sin ventilación

(como por ejemplo, una cochera). Cuando estacione en un área cerrada o parcialmente

cerrada o cuando realice un mantenimiento a su vehículo, se debe deshabilitar el

sistema de encendido remoto a través de la rueda del menú instalada. Es responsabilidad

exclusiva del usuario manejar con propiedad y mantener fuera del alcance de los

adecuada. Se debe quitar el módulo de encendido remoto y el instalador debe volver

a instalarlo de modo tal que el vehículo no arranque en cambio. Todas las instalaciones

Garantía limitada de por vida para el consumidor

Directed Electronics. (“Directed”) le promete al comprador original que reparará o

reemplazará (a elección de Directed) con un modelo comparable reacondicionado,

cualquier unidad de Directed (en lo adelante, la “unidad”), excluyendo, pero sin limitarse

a la sirena, los transmisores a remoto y los sensores y accesorios conexos, que

demuestre estar defectuosa en cuanto a su mano de obra o materiales bajo un uso

razonable durante la vida útil del vehículo, siempre que reúna las siguientes condiciones:

La unidad se compró de un comerciante autorizado de Directed; la unidad fue

instalada y mantenida profesionalmente por un comerciante autorizado de Directed;

un comerciante autorizado de Directed reinstalará la unidad profesionalmente en el

vehículo en el cual fue instalada inicialmente, y la unidad se devuelve a Directed, con

los gastos de envío pagados por anticipado, junto con una copia legible del comprobante

de venta u otra prueba fechada de la compra, con la siguiente información: el

y dirección del comerciante autorizado; una descripción completa del producto, incluidos

el uso inadecuado de la misma, por descuido, servicio incorrecto o instalación inadecuada,

o desmontaje. Directed podrá, a su entero juicio, determinar lo que constituye un daño

MEDIANTE UN COMERCIANTE AUTORIZADO DE DIRECTED, O SI LA UNIDAD HA

SIDO DAÑADA ACCIDENTALMENTE DEBIDO A UN USO ARBITRARIO DE LA MISMA,

POR NEGLIGENCIA, CASO FORTUITO, ABANDONO, SERVICIO INAPROPIADO, U

OTRAS CAUSAS QUE NO SEAN POR DEFECTO EN LOS MATERIALES O EN LA MANO

DE OBRA.
