and jumbo frames support, Allied Telesis’
AT-2971SX/LC supports the calculation ofTCP,
UDP and IP checksums through the hardware
platform without time loss by the MAC
controller for both transmission and receiving
paths—a capability that leads to improvements
on overall system performance.To reduce the
load on the CPU, AlliedTelesis’ AT-2971SX/LC
uses interrupt moderation to group the huge
amounts of interrupts caused by small packets
transferred at Gigabit speed, enabling the
handling of several data packets per interrupt.
