If the size doesn’t impress you …
he SX series of FlexScan monitors come in three
Timpressively large screen sizes: 24", 27", and a
huge 30". If you use desktop-hungry applications such
as those for DTP, CAD/CAM, image editing, and web
design, you’ll appreciate the extra space this gives you to
work. But as stunning as these sizes are, the image qual-
ity is even more so. EIZO’s internal circuitry ensures
accurate gamma curves and brightness uniformity. You
also get the benefit of extremely precise color control.
The FlexScan SX series: prepare to be impressed.
Widescreen Monitors in Three Large Sizes
which the most appropriate 16.7 million (8 bits) are
displayed. This ASIC also uses 16-bit internal pro-
cessing for smooth display of grayscale tones, espe-
cially in the dark areas of an image.
EIZO’s FlexScan SX monitors give you the profes-
sional performance you need in the large screen
sizes you crave. The 30" SX3031W provides an
astounding 2560 × 1600 native resolution, while the
27" SX2761W and 24" SX2461W both offer an im-
pressive 1920 × 1200. The combination of expansive
screen size and superb image quality makes these
monitors the ideal choice for all types of imaging
applications.

Big screen size is great, but
doesn’t mean a lot without a
wide range of color control
functions. FlexScan SX moni-
tors let you adjust not just
brightness, but gamma, satu-
ration, hue, gain, and color
temperature as well. You can
even fine-tune a single color,
by adjusting its RGBCMY
hue and saturation settings.
Wide Color Gamut
The 24", 27", and 30" monitors reproduce 95%,
96%, and 97% respectively, of the Adobe RGB
color space, allowing
them to display almost
every possible color
in photos taken in
this mode. They also
have an sRGB mode
that ensures accurate
reproduction of colors
in this narrower color
space, such as those
intended for web pages
or digital photos taken
in sRGB mode.

More Effective Software Calibration
With many large screen monitors, software cali-
bration of the computer’s
graphics board is vital for
achieving the desired color
values. The SX monitors,

Brightness and Chroma Uniformity with DUE
means that any software calibration you do will
contribute to a much better grayscale ramp — a key
indicator of how well dark tones can be displayed as
well as overall color accuracy.
Fluctuations in brightness and chroma on differ-
ent parts of the screen are characteristic of LCD
panels. Generally, the larger the screen, the more
noticeable these uniformity errors become. EIZO’s
Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) effectively
compensates for these errors, resulting in a much
more uniform image.
Fast Response Time
An overdrive circuit is included to reduce midtone
response time and ensure that movies and other
moving images look clean and sharp with an abso-
lute minimum of blurring and ghosting.

Switching between modes is done by pressing a button

matic mode switching such as changing to Text mode
when an e-mail application is selected.

Scale Non-Native Resolutions to Full Screen
When working at less than native resolution or aspect
ratios other than 16:10, you can use the scaling func-
tion to enlarge your work proportionally or expand it
to fill the screen. This is especially useful when using
the monitor’s single link input. You can then smooth
or sharpen the image in five increments.
Accessories
For additional functionality, attachable speakers,
panel protectors, and other accessories are available.
