Automatic Pause ’n Serve Drip Stop Valve
For your convenience our Pause ’n Serve feature allows you up to
30 seconds to sneak a cup while coffee is still brewing. It also
prevents any remaining coffee in the filter basket from dripping
onto the warmer plate once the brew cycle is complete.
•
To prevent injury from hot overflow, replace decanter within
30 seconds if removed during brewing.
Warning: To avoid risk of personal injury or damage to property as a result
of overflow, be sure that the decanter is squarely centered under the brew
basket during brewing cycle.
Brewed coffee and grounds, both in brew basket and decanter, are very hot.
Handle with care to avoid scalding.
If brew basket overflows, or if brew basket fails to drain into decanter
during brew cycle, do not open or handle basket. Unplug coffeemaker
and wait for contents to cool before handling.

mild detergent and water. Rinse each thoroughly.

4. Swing the showerhead to the left over the brew
basket. Note: If you forget to position correctly,
the reservoir lid will automatically position the
showerhead when closed.
5. Fill the decanter with tap water to desired
capacity as marked on the side of the decanter.
(1 cup equals 5 ounces) Pour the water into the
reservoir. Close the reservoir lid completely and
place the empty decanter onto the warming plate.
6. A convenient water level window is positioned
on the right side of the coffeemaker reservoir.
The red ball will rise within the water tube and
will indicate approximately how many cups of
water have been poured into the reservoir.
7. Turn your coffeemaker switch ON. When coffee
stops flowing, the brewing cycle is complete.
8. Allow the brew basket to cool for a few minutes,
open the reservoir lid and swing the showerhead
to the right. Carefully remove the filter basket
and discard the used coffee grounds and filter.
Rinse the filter basket and replace.
9. To make another pot of coffee, repeat steps
1 through 8.

when the decanter is empty and you
are no longer using your coffeemaker.
Unplug the power cord when not using

Brewing Automatically at the Preset Time
1. Follow Steps 1–5 on Pages 3–4 in the
“Brewing Coffee” Section.
2. Always slide the control switch to OFF and
then to AUTO.
3. Brewing will begin at the time you have pre-set
and the coffee will remain hot in the decanter for
2 hours. To keep your coffee hot for an additional
2 hours, slide the switch from AUTO to ON.
Important:
To Reset Auto-Brew at Pre-Set Time
The programmable timer will NOT automatically
brew the next day if left in the AUTO position after
its last use. This is to prevent unanticipated operation.
If the AUTO OFF light in the lower right hand corner
of the clock display is illuminated, reset AUTO BREW
by sliding the control switch to OFF and then to AUTO.
Automatic Shut-Off
Your Coffeemaker will keep your coffee hot for
2 hours and then automatically shut off. To keep
your coffee hot for an additional 2 hours:
• Clock Models – Slide the control switch to OFF
and then to ON.
When your decanter is empty, turn Coffeemaker off.

Hard water can leave a whitish mineral deposit
inside the decanter. Coffee and tea discolor these

cloth. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners. These
may cause scratches, which can lead to breakage.

Coffeemaker Cleaning
Your coffeemaker must be cleaned when you begin
to notice excessive steaming or the brewing time
increases considerably. This condition is caused by
a buildup of lime and mineral deposits from your
water. If the pumping action stops before all the
water has been pumped out of the machine, then the
appliance requires cleaning. The frequency of cleaning
depends on the hardness of water used. The following
table gives the suggested cleaning intervals.

1. Pour one quart of undiluted white household
vinegar into your coffeemaker.
2. Place a paper filter into the filter basket and
insert the filter basket into place. Close reservoir
lid completely.
3. Place the empty decanter on the warming plate
and turn the coffeemaker ON. When 3 cups
have flowed through, turn the coffeemaker OFF
and let stand for a 1/2 hour.
4. After 1/2 hour, pour the vinegar back into the
coffeemaker.
5. Place the empty decanter on the warming plate.
Turn the coffeemaker ON and let all of the
vinegar flow through.

One-Year Limited Warranty
Sunbeam Products, Inc. (“Sunbeam”) warrants that for a period of one year
from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material
and workmanship. Sunbeam, at its option, will repair or replace this product

period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or

Para su comodidad, nuestra función Pause ’n Serve le da hasta
30 segundos para “robarse” una taza de café mientras aún se está
filtrando. También impide que el café remanente en el portafiltro gotee
sobre el plato calentador una vez completado el ciclo de filtrado.
•
Para prevenir las lesiones por rebasado del líquido caliente, vuelva
a colocar la jarra en su lugar dentro de los 30 segundos si la retiró
durante el filtrado.
Advertencia: para evitar el riesgo de lesiones personales o daños materiales
como resultado del rebase de líquidos, asegúrese de que la jarra esté bien
centrada bajo el portafiltro durante el ciclo de filtrado.
El café de filtro y la borra en el portafiltro y en la jarra están muy calientes.
Manéjelos con cuidado para evitar quemaduras.
Si el portafiltro rebasa o si no drena a la jarra durante el ciclo de filtrado, no

4. Desplace el cabezal rociador hacia la izquierda para
que quede sobre el portafiltro. Observe que si
olvida ponerlo en la posición correcta, el mismo se
posiciona automáticamente cuando usted cierra la
tapa del reservorio.
5. Llene la jarra con agua corriente hasta la capacidad
deseada, según las marcas que tiene al costado.
(1 taza equivale a 5 onzas.) Vierta el agua en el
reservorio. Cierre completamente la tapa del
reservorio y ponga la jarra vacía sobre el plato
calentador.
6. Hay una cómoda ventana para el agua del lado
derecho del reservorio de la cafetera. La esfera
roja sube dentro del tubo de agua e indica
aproximadamente cuántas tazas de agua se
vertieron en el reservorio.
7. Ponga el interruptor de la cafetera en ON
(encendido). Cuando deja de fluir el café,
se ha completado el ciclo de filtrado.
8. Deje que se enfríe el portafiltro durante unos
minutos, abra la tapa del reservorio y desplace
el cabezal rociador hacia la derecha. Retire
cuidadosamente el portafiltro y deseche la borra
del café y el filtro. Enjuague el portafiltro
y póngalo nuevamente en su lugar.
9. Para hacer otra jarra de café, repita los pasos 1 a 8.
10. Asegúrese de poner su cafetera en OFF (apagado)
cuando la jarra esté vacía y usted ya no esté usando

Para Ajustar el Reloj:
1. Deslice el interruptor de control a APAGADO (OFF).
2. Enchufe el cordón de energía en la toma de corriente. La pantalla del reloj

3. De forma alterna, oprima y sostenga los botones de HORA (HOUR) y

Preparación Automática a la Hora Preajustada
1. Siga los Pasos 1 al 5 en la Página 3 y 4 de la
Sección de “Preparación de Café”.
2. Siempre deslice el interruptor de control a
APAGADO (OFF) y luego a AUTO.
3. La preparación comenzará a la hora preajustada y
el café se mantendrá caliente en el decantador
durante 2 horas. Para mantener su café caliente
durante 2 horas adicionales, deslice el interruptor
desde AUTO hasta PRENDIDO (ON).

El temporizador programable NO preparará el café
el día siguiente si se deja en la posición AUTO después
de la última preparación. Ésto tiene como fin evitar la

El agua dura puede dejar un depósito de mineral
blanquecino dentro de la jarra. El café y el té

Limpieza de la Cafetera
Su cafetera necesitará limpieza cuando usted comience
a observar una formación excesiva de vapor o una
prolongación considerable del tiempo de filtrado. Esto
es provocado por una acumulación de depósitos de
limo y minerales contenidos en el agua. Si la acción de
bombeo se detiene antes de que se haya expulsado toda
el agua de la máquina, el aparato necesita una limpieza.
La frecuencia de las limpiezas depende de la dureza del
agua utilizada. La tabla siguiente contiene intervalos de
limpieza sugeridos.

1. Vierta un cuarto de vinagre blanco de uso doméstico
diluido en su cafetera.
2. Ponga un filtro de papel en el portafiltro y coloque
el portafiltro en su lugar. Cierre la tapa del
reservorio por completo.
3. Ponga la jarra vacía sobre el plato de calentamiento
y ponga la cafetera en ON (encendido). Cuando
hayan pasado 3 tazas, ponga la cafetera en OFF
(apagado) y déjela reposar entre 1/2 hora.
4. Al cabo de 1/2 hora, vierta el vinagre nuevamente
en la cafetera.
5. Ponga la jarra vacía sobre el plato de calentamiento.
Ponga la cafetera en ON (encendido) y permita que
pase todo el vinagre.

Esta garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de las piezas ni los daños que se produzcan
como resultado de: uso negligente o mal uso del producto, uso de tensión o corriente
inapropiada, uso contrario a las instrucciones operativas, desarmado, reparación o
alteración por un tercero que no sea Sunbeam o un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
Sunbeam. Asimismo, la garantía no cubre fuerza mayor ni desastres naturales
tales como incendios, inundaciones, huracanes y tornados.
Sunbeam no será responsable de daños incidentales o emergentes causados por
el incumplimiento de ninguna garantía expresa o implícita. Excepto en la medida
prohibida por la ley aplicable, cualquier garantía implícita de comerciabilidad o
aptitud para un fin determinado se limita en cuanto a su duración a la duración
de la garantía antes mencionada. Algunos estados, provincias o jurisdicciones no
permiten la exclusión o limitación de los daños incidentales o emergentes ni las
limitaciones a la duración de las garantías implícitas, de modo que es posible que
la exclusión o las limitaciones antes mencionadas no se apliquen en su caso.

No devuelva este producto al lugar donde lo compró. Lleve el producto a un
Centro de Servicio Autorizado Sunbeam. Encontrará el Centro de Servicio
Autorizado Sunbeam más cercano llamando al 1 800 458-8407 o visitando
nuestro sitio web en www.sunbeam.com. Si no hay un Centro de Servicio
Autorizado Sunbeam que le resulte cómodo, póngale un rótulo al producto
|con su nombre, dirección, número de teléfono durante el día y la descripción
del problema. Incluya una copia del recibo de compra original. Envuelva
cuidadosamente el producto rotulado con el recibo de compra y envíelo por
UPS o Parcel Post (encomienda postal) con envío y seguro pagados por
adelantado a la dirección del Centro de Servicio Autorizado Sunbeam.
