Charge the battery before recording

How to use the Touch
Sensor
After the menu is displayed on the LCD
monitor:
Read This First!
Make a backup of important recorded data
It is recommended to copy your important
recorded data to a DVD or other recording
media for storage. JVC will not be responsible
for any lost data.
Make a trial recording
Before the actual recording of important data,
make a trial recording and play back the
recorded data to check that the video and
sound have been recorded correctly.
Reset the camcorder if it does not operate
correctly
Close the LCD monitor and remove the power
supply (battery pack or AC adapter) from the
camcorder, then reattach it.
QSlide your finger up and down on the
sensor.
RSelect [SET]. (Touch OK.)
Precautions on handling batteries
Be sure to use the JVC BN-VF808U/
•
VF815U/VF823U battery packs. This product
includes patented and other proprietary
technology and is made to be used with the
JVC battery and not with other batteries.
JVC cannot guarantee safety or
performance of this product when it is
operated by other batteries.
If the camcorder is subjected to electrostatic
discharge, turn off the power before using it
again.

If a malfunction occurs, stop using the

demonstration mode is set to on by default

You can also use the camcorder with just the

depending on the recording environment,
such as when recording scenes with fast
moving subject.

Please do not pull or bend the AC adapter
plug and cable. This may damage the AC
adapter.

Other Settings
To remove a microSD card
Push the microSD card once.
Using a microSD Card
After the card comes out a little, pull it out.
The camcorder is programmed to record on
the built-in hard disk when it is shipped from
the factory.You can change the recording
medium to microSD card.
NOTE
Insert and remove the microSD card only
while the power is turned off. Otherwise, data
on the card may be corrupted.
Do not touch the terminal on the reverse side
of the label.

Video recording:
Change the recording medium
Set [REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO] and [REC
MEDIA FOR IMAGE] to [SD].
Class 4 or higher compatible microSDHC
card (4 GB to 8 GB)
It is recommended to use Class 6 when
recording video in UXP mode.
Still image recording:
microSD card (256 MB to 2 GB) or
microSDHC card (4 GB to 8 GB)
If other media are used, they may fail to
record data correctly, or they may lose data
that had already been recorded.

Format a microSD card when using it for
the first time
MultiMediaCards are not supported.
Video data may not be recorded onto the
microSD cards on which video data have
already been recorded using the devices
from other manufacturers.

Manual Recording
Manual recording mode enables you to set the
focus and screen brightness, etc. manually.

USING WITH TV
Viewing Files on TV
This camcorder is designed to be used with
high-definition or NTSC-type color television
signals. It cannot be used with a television of a
different standard.
NOTE
When connecting to the HDMI cable, the

image or sound may not appear on the TV
properly depending on the TV connected.
In such cases, perform the following
operations.
Connection with TV
1) Disconnect the HDMI cable and
connect it again.
2) Turn off and on the camcorder again.
You can output videos from the HDMI
connector, COMPONENT connector, or AV
connector. Select the connector that best suits
your television.

CAUTION
Deleting Files
Do not remove the recording medium or
perform any other operation (such as turning
off the power) while accessing files. Also,
be sure to use the provided AC adapter, as
the data on the recording medium may be
corrupted if the battery becomes exhausted
during operation. If the data on the recording
medium becomes corrupted, format the
recording medium to use the medium again.
Protected files cannot be deleted. To delete
them, release the protection first.
Once files are deleted, they cannot be
restored. Check files before deleting.

Realice una copia de seguridad de los

Se recomienda que guarde los datos

USO CON EL TELEVISOR
Visualización de archivos en un televisor
Esta videocámara está diseñada para ser
utilizada con señales de televisión en color de
tipo NTSC o de alta definición. No se puede
usar con un televisor de otra norma.
NOTA
Al realizar la conexión con el cable HDMI,

la imagen o el sonido podrían no emitirse
correctamente en el televisor según
el televisor conectado. En tales casos,
realice las siguientes operaciones.
1) Desconecte el cable HDMI y vuelva a
conectarlo.

No extraiga el soporte de grabación ni

a los archivos. Asimismo, asegúrese de
utilizar el adaptador de CA suministrado, ya
que los datos del soporte de grabación se
pueden dañar si la batería se agota durante
la operación. Si los datos del soporte de
grabación se dañan, deberá formatear el
soporte de grabación para volver a usarlo.
Los archivos protegidos no se pueden
eliminar. Para eliminarlos, primero debe
anular la protección.
Una vez eliminados, los archivos no se
pueden restaurar. Compruebe los archivos
antes de eliminarlos.

Cuando formatea o borra los datos con
la cámara, sólo se cambia la información
de administración. Los datos no se borran
completamente del disco duro. Si desea
eliminar por completo todos los datos, le
recomendamos que utilice algún software
disponible comercialmente diseñado para esta
finalidad o que destruya físicamente la cámara
con un martillo o procedimiento similar.

... no provoque cortocircuitos en los terminales.
Manténgala alejada de objetos metálicos cuando
no se utilice. Durante el transporte, asegúrese

Para evitar daños y prolongar la vida útil
Disco duro

de 10°C a 35°C. A temperaturas más bajas se
requiere más tiempo de carga, y en algunos
casos puede que incluso se detenga la carga.
A temperaturas más altas puede resultar
imposible terminar la carga, y en algunos
casos puede que incluso se detenga.
No utilice la unidad cuando esté sujeta a
vibraciones o sonidos fuertes.
Si mueve la unidad bruscamente, la función
de detección de caídas puede activarse y la
alimentación se puede desconectar.
