Operation
The Spotting Scope-Tripod is lightweight and provides a good image even in a low light
environment. The Scope has a rubberized body with a built-in cap and adjustable sun shade.
The height of the Tripod is adjustable. Nylon cases for Scope and Tripod are included.
The Spotting Scope is equipped with a system of lenses that magnifies light beams to
provide a high quality image to the user. The Scope can then be quipped with the Tripod.

2.
After taking the Spotting Scope-Tripod out of the case, remove the protective lens caps.
While looking through the Spotting Scope, rotate eyepiece to focus on the object being
viewed. Rotate Focusing Drum until a clear picture is obtained. Rotate zoom ring to the
desired power (see picture on page 2).
3.
4.
The Tripod provides added stability resulting in an improved image. Use the mounting
socket to attach the Tripod. Do not overtighten the screw when attaching the Tripod.
The Tripod’s height can be adjusted by unfastening the extension clamps at the end of
each of the three ledges (see photo below.) Be sure to adjust the legs to the equal length.
Once the desired length is achieved, refasten all the clamps. This will keep the Tripod
stabilized.

4.
Never place the scope in water or use in the rain. The scope is moisture resistant but not
waterproof.
Add a small amount of lens cleaning solution to a soft cloth to clean the lenses. Never pour
the lens cleaning solution directly on the lens. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
When the scope is moved from a cold environment into a building, you may see condensa-
tion form on the lens. This is a normal reaction which will disappear in about one hour.
When not using the Spotting Scope-Tripod, put the lens covers on and store in the cases in
a moisture free environment.
