INTRODUCTION:  
Congratulations on your purchase of a sophisticated, high-  
tech Clarion Automotive Infrared Stereo Headphone System.  
This system frees you from the tangle of Headphone wires  
and lets you enjoy music or TV without the tangle of cables  
around you. To ensure the best performance of your system,  
please read this manual carefully.  
n Automatic Level Control prevents input signal over  
loading.  
n Uses high frequency infrared light to assure a clean sig-  
nal for clear reception.  
n Adjustable Headphone band.  
EXPLANATION OF CONTROLS: (Fig. 1)  
Infrared Transmitter:  
1. Infrared Emitting Leds - Transmit signal to headphones  
Headphone Receivers:  
2. Infrared Sensors - Receive signal from the transmitter  
3. Battery Cover  
4. Volume Control  
5. Power Switch

BATTERY INSTALLATION: (Fig. 2)  
1. Place two (2) alkaline AAA batteries into the battery com-  
partment of the Headphones, making sure that the battery  
polarity is correct.  
Auto ON/OFF Switch is  
activated when headphones  
are placed on head.  
OPERATION:  
Please read carefully to prevent damage to the Headphones  
or your ears.  
1. Be sure batteries are properly installed in the  
Headphones.  
2. Turn the Headphone volume nearly off before turning on  
the power. Turn on the Headphone power then adjust the  
Headphone volume louder to a comfortable level. (You  
can adjust the audio source volume louder if needed).

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular  
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or televi-  
sion reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the  
user is encouraged to try to correct interference by one or more of the following

designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a resi-  
dential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio fre-  
quency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,  
may cause harmful interference to radio communications.  
n Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.  
n Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.  
n Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which  
the receiver is needed.  
n Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
