The inlet and outlet should not be covered so that the outflow air can reach all parts of the room.   2. Install in a location from which the condensation water can be drained out conveniently.   3. Avoid a location where there is heat source, steam or flammable gas.   4. Install in a location where is strong enough to withstand the full weight and vibration of the unit.   5. Be sure that the installation conforms to the installation dimension diagram.   6. Be sure to leave enough space to allow access for routine maintenance. The height of the installed   location should be 90.55 inch or more away from the floor.   7. Install in a location where is 3.28 feet or more away from other electric appliances such as   television, audio devices, etc.   8. Select a location where is easy to remove and clean the filter.   Outdoor Unit   1. Select a location from which noise and outflow air emitted by unit will not inconvenience   neighbors.   2. Select a location where there should be sufficient ventilation.   3. The inlet and outlet should not be covered.   4. The location should be able to withstand the full weight and vibration of the outdoor unit and   permit safe installation.   5. There should be flammable gas or corrosive gas leaks.   6. Be sure that the installation conforms to the installation dimension diagram.   - 13 -   ◆Installation   Install the rear panel   1. Always mount the rear panel horizontally. Because the mouth of drainage pipe is at the left side   and the left side of the rear panel is better to adjust   slightly lower.   2. Fix the rear panel on the selected location with   screws supplied with the unit.   3. Be sure that the rear panel has been fixed firmly   enough to withstand the weight of an adult of   132.3 lbs; furthermore, the weight should be evenly   shared by each screw.   Install the piping hole   1. Make the piping hole (Φ65)in the wall at a slight downward slant to the outdoor side. (Shown   in Fig.1)   2. Insert the piping-hole sleeve into the hole to prevent the connection piping and wiring from being   damaged when passing through the hole.   Install the drainage hose   1. For well draining, the drain hose should be placed at a   downward slant.   2. Do not wrench or bend the drain hose or flood its end by water.   3. The extended drainage pipe in the room should be wrapped with   the insulating materials.   Install the connection pipes   Connect the connection pipes with the relevant union pipes of the indoor unit and tighten the flare nut   of the connection pipes (Shown in P19 “Install the connection pipes”).   NOTE:   Connect the connection pipes with the indoor unit firstly and the outdoor unit secondly.   Be careful in bending the connection pipes, or you will damage the pipes.   If the tightening torque is too great is tightening the flare nuts leakage will happen.   Electric wiring and electric wiring between indoor and   outdoor unit   1. The power supply should adopt the rated voltage and special circuit.   2. Wiring must be done by special technician according to local rules, regulations and the manual.   3. The nut should be tightened and cannot fall off.   - 14 -   ◆Installation   Wiring of indoor unit   Note: The power of indoor unit is supplied by the outdoor. A breaker needs to be installed for safety.   Operation Procedures:   1. Open the surface panel.   2. Open the cover and cover plate of electric   box. (Right figure)   3. Remove the receiving window as shown in   the below left figure.   4. Wire pipe should be tightened by the fixed nut and the electric box should be fixed as shown in the   above right figure and the below figure.   Shield cover (upper) of electric box must be grounded.   - 15 -   ◆Installation   Electric Wiring   Note: Wiring must be done by a certified technician according to the local rules & regulations. The   connecting wire should be correctly connected to circuit interface. Otherwise, it can cause a fire,   electricity leakage and so on.   The diagram is shown as below:   NOTE:   1. Wiring should be correctly installed.   2. Tighten the nut of terminal board to avoid falling off.   3. Incorrect wiring will cause the unit to malfunction.   4. Wiring should be correctly installed.   2. Tighten the nut of terminal board to avoid falling off.   3. Incorrect wiring will cause the unit to malfunction.   4. Units that are not properly grounded are hazardous and may cause the unit to fail.   - 17 -   ◆Installation   Install the Power Line   1. Remove the front side plate.   2. Break through the hole for wires and put on the rubber bushing.   3. Pull all wires through the rubber bushing.   4. Remove the wire clamp and connect the end of the power connection cord with screws to the   wiring terminal board according to the “WIRING DIAGRAM” of the outdoor unit.   5. Make sure that the wiring has been connected properly.   6. Tighten the wire with clamp and clasp.   7. After the wiring crosses through the Connector, tighten the Connector with the fix nut.   Install the Indoor Unit   1. When routing the piping and wiring from the left or right side of the indoor unit, cut off the   tailings from the chassis as necessary (shown in Fig.3).   ① Cut off tailing 1 when only power cord is routed.   ② Cut off tailing 1 and 2 when connect pipe and power cord are routed.   2. Wrap the piping and wiring and pull them through the cut-off tailings hole (shown in Fig.4).   3. Hang the 2 mounting slots of the indoor unit on the upper tabs of the rear panel and check that it   is securely fastened.   4. The height of the installed location should be 7.55 feet or more from the floor.   - 18 -   ◆Installation   Install the Outdoor Unit   Install the connection pipe:   • Align the center of the piping flare with the valve.   • Screw in the flare nut by hand and then tighten the nut with spanner and torque wrench refer to   right figure.   Note: Exceeding tightening torque will damage the flare nut.   Tightening Torque Table   Tightening Torque   Hex Nut Diameter (mm)   (N.m)   φ12   φ16   50~55   60~65   - 19 -   ◆Installation   Air Purging and Leakage Test   1. Connect charging hose of manifold value to   charging end of low pressure valve (both   high/low pressure valves must be tightly shut).   2. Connect joint of charging hose to vacuum pump.   3. Fully open handle of Lo manifold valve.   4. Open the vacuum pump to evacuate. At the   beginning, slightly loosen joint nut of low   pressure valve to check if there is air coming   inside. (Valve of vacuum pump changes from   negative to 0) Then tighten this nut.   5. After finishing evacuation, shut Lo handle of   manifold valve to stop the vacuum pump.   (1) Keep evacuating for 15 minutes and make sure the reading of multi-meter is -1.0 x 14.5 PSI   (-76cmHg).   6. Fully open high/low pressure valves.   7. Remove charging hose from charging end of low pressure valve.   8. Tighten bonnet of low-pressure valve.   - 20 -   ◆Test Operation and Check after Installation   Test Operation   1. Test Operation   (1) Do not switch on power before installation is finished   completely.   (2) Electric wiring must be connected correctly and securely   (3) Cut-off valves of the connection pipes should be opened.   (4) All the impurities such as scraps must be cleared from the   unit.   2. Test Operation Method   (1) Switch on power and press “ON/OFF” button on the remote control to run the air conditioner.   (2) Press “MODE” button and check the operation condition of COOL, HEAT, SWING mode   and so forth.   If Wireless remote control is lost, open the surface panel and operate as following:   a.
