IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock and fire, this product must be used in accordance with these instructions.
This equipment has a polarized plug. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet one way. If plug does not fit fully in outlet, reverse the plug.
(If plug still does not fit, contact qualified personnel to install proper outlet)
Before operating the unit, inspect for visible damage. Be sure the rubber feet are secure, with no signs of deterioration.
Do not open the case for any reason; the UV radiation inside can cause eye damage.
Connect only to 110/120 volt AC (alternating current). Never connect to DC (direct current).
Keep the unit away from water or other liquid. Never immerse unit in liquid.
Never use the electrical cord as a handle. Never pull the unit by the electrical cord.
Individuals with serious respiratory illness, including asthma, should consult a physician before using this product.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Opening the case can be dangerous, and will invalidate the warranty.
SIMPLE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the unit on a flat surface
Plug the power cord into a 110/120 volt AC electrical outlet
Flip the switch to the "on" position
Both the light and fan start up, indicating that the unit is operating properly
HELPFUL HINTS
Best results are obtained from placing the unit in an elevated spot. The top of a bookshelf or refrigerator is ideal.
The unit can be operated on any time schedule that suits your needs. This will depend on factors such as the specific layout and other conditions of
the area being treated. Because of its low power consumption (less than a 50-watt light bulb), many users choose to operate the unit continuously.
MAINTENANCE
There are no filters or plates to clean or replace. The only maintenance required is to keep the intake vent and fan clear of any build-up of dust
or debris. Periodically turn the purifier off and check this intake / fan area. When necessary, clean the area by either vacuuming or blowing.
To vacuum, place the vacuum cleaner dusting attachment against the intake vent and clean. Or, dust and debris can be cleared away using
canned compressed air.
