12. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter assembly blades on base  
without the jar properly attached.

16. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover.  
17. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.  
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the  
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.  
If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a  
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in  
or tripping over a longer cord.

2. If the power supply cord is too short, do not use an extension cord. Have a  
qualified electrician or serviceman to install an outlet near the appliance.

3. If it is absolutely necessary to use longer cord sets or an extension cord, extreme  
care must be exercised.

a) Use an extension cord rated no less than 10-amperes.  
b) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord must equal to  
or be greater than the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should  
be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it  
can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant  
screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk  
of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer  
cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should  
be done only by authorized service personnel.

1. Place the gift box containing your blender on a flat, sturdy surface before  
unpacking.

2. Remove instruction booklet and other printed materials from the top of  
corrugated insert. Next remove the top corrugated insert.  
Boiling liquids: Cool for 5 minutes before placing in blending jar  
3. Carefully lift blender jar from box and set aside.

4. Carefully remove lower corrugated insert containing the blender assembly. Be  
careful not to tip the jar when moving.  
Operate blender without the lid on the blending jar  
note: · To assemble the blender, follow the Blender Jar Assembly on page 9 in this instruction  
booklet. Replace all corrugated inserts in the box and save the box for repackaging.  
· Before using for the first time: Wash all parts according to the CLEANING & CARE on  
page 12 of this manual to remove any dust or residue.

Overfill the blender: the blender is more efficient with less rather than more  
Put boiling liquids into blender  
Use PULSE for more than 5 seconds at a time; release the PULSE/OFF button  
regularly, allow the blender to rest briefly, then continue  
Run blender for longer than 1/2 minutes at a time. Scrape down sides of blending  
jar, if necessary, and continue blending

beans, keep one hand on the lid to

5. Select the speed that best suits your  
desired task.(See SPEED CHART  
Pg. 10).  
1. Turn the blender jar upside down,

as smoothies, power drinks and  
milkshakes press the PULSE button  
several times to begin the blending  
process. Press the PULSE button for  
no more than 5 seconds at a time.

7. Open the lid cap to add ingredients  
while the blender is running and  
drop ingredients through the  
opening.  
note: · Blades are sharp. Handle with care.  
4. Secure the gasket and blade  
assembly into place as shown in the  
picture. Tighten by twisting the jar  
base clockwise. Make sure base is  
tightly fastened to blender jar. Once  
assembled, turn the blender jar  
right-side up.

note: · Do not remove the lid while the  
blender is running  
8. When finished, press the PULSE/  
OFF button. Make sure blades  
have completely stopped before  
attempting to remove the blending  
jar from the base.

blender jar. Secure the lip cap into  
the lid.  
9. Remove lid to pour.

The PULSE function is helpful when  
short bursts of power are needed,  
such as when preparing thick  
smoothies or milkshakes.

Use for thick mixtures  
Chop food or fruit into pieces no  
larger than 3/4” for use in the  
blender.  
It is helpful to begin the blending  
process on the lowest speed and  
then increase to a higher speed, if  
necessary.

When preparing foods that  
have several different kinds of  
ingredients, always add the liquid  
ingredients first.  
• Remove lumps from gravies  
To stop blending at any time, press  
the PULSE/OFF button.  
• Chop fruits and vegetables

note: · When blending hot ingredients,  
remove the lid cap and then put it  
back partly open, with the opened  
side tilted away from you. Cover lid  
with a cloth to avoid splattering and  
only use the lowest speed. Do not  
blend more than 750ml at a time.

When ingredients splatter onto the  
sides of the jar or the mixture is very  
thick, press the PULSE/OFF button  
to turn appliance off. Remove the lid  
and use a rubber spatula to scrape  
down the sides of the jar and to  
redistribute the food, pushing food  
toward the blades. Replace the lid  
and continue blending.

serviceable parts. Refer service to  
qualified service personnel.  
IF THE BLENDER FAILS TO OPERATE:  
A) Check to make sure that the blender is plugged in securely.  
1. Before cleaning, turn off and unplug  
the appliance.  
B) Check for a blown circuit fuse or a tripped main circuit breaker. If these seem to  
be operating properly, test the outlet with another appliance.  
2. Lift the blending jar by the handle  
off the base.  
IF NONE OF THE ABOVE SOLVES THE PROBLEM, CONTACT A QUALIFIED  
TECHNICIAN. DO NOT TRY TO ADJUST OR REPAIR THE BLENDER YOURSELF.  
3. Remove the gasket and the blade  
assembly.  
note: · Blades are sharp, handle with care.  
4. Remove lid and lid cap.  
5. Wash removable parts by hand or  
in the dishwasher. Place the jar on  
the bottom rack and the rest of the  
parts on the top rack only.
