03 MR2 SPYDER
MR2 Spyders shown in Absolutely Red with available Black leather trim and Silver Streak Mica with Gray cloth interior.
You had some great times playing on asphalt as a kid—but nothing compared to the fun you’re about to have.
The 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder has a powerful all-aluminum 1.8-liter 16-valve VVT-i engine, mounted midship for
balance and handling usually reserved for the racetrack. The similarity between the MR2 Spyder and race cars
doesn’t stop there: there’s also an available 6-speed sequential manual transmission. And an ultra-rigid yet
supremely lightweight chassis, which helps give the MR2 Spyder its remarkable power-to-weight ratio. Think
about it. Now that you’re an adult, there’s endless asphalt to enjoy. Which may explain why you couldn’t wait to
grow up.
The moment you get behind the wheel of the MR2 Spyder you start to feel different. The available 6-speed
sequential manual transmission is one reason you’re feeling so energized. This race-derived feature eliminates
the need for a clutch pedal. And then there’s the MR2 Spyder’s perfectly balanced mid-engine layout—no back
seat, no back-seat drivers. And the drilled aluminum sport pedals. The available leather-trimmed seats. The
black-on-white gauges…there are other ways to elevate your heart rate. But none that are so exhilarating.

*The Toyota driver and front passenger air bags are Supplemental
Restraint Systems (SRS). The driver and front passenger air bags
are designed to inflate in a severe frontal collision. In all other
accidents, the air bags will not inflate. To decrease the risk of
injury from a deploying air bag, always wear seatbelts and sit
upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible from
the air bag modules. Do not put objects in front of an air bag. Do
not use rearward-facing child seats in any front passenger seat
without switching off the passenger-side air bag. The force of a
deploying air bag SRS may cause serious injury or death. Please
see your Owner’s Manual for further instructions. for details.
