Receive e-mail on your T-Mobile Dash
Target Audience
The T-Mobile Dash is an excellent choice for
family-focused working individuals who are trying
to master a busy life. These customers do a lot of
personal and work e-mail from their computer and
want to use e-mail and Outlook from a mobile
phone. They are brand-conscious, tech-savvy,
and rely on various organizational tools (phone,
PDA, home calendar, home/work computer, etc.)
These customers have thought of making the
transition to a fully "converged device," but worry
that these devices may be too bulky, too difficult to
use, or focus too much on business applications.
Setting up your e-mail has never been easier. In
just a few simple steps, you can configure your
T-Mobile Dash to synchronize with your e-mail,
contacts, and calendar. This can be done either
directly from your T-Mobile Dash or from your PC.
To use E-mail on T-Mobile Dash, you will need
Outlook Exchange 2003 or an equivalent third-
party application.
From the PC:
1. Install ActiveSync 4.2 on your PC.
2. Attach your T-Mobile Dash to your PC using
your data sync cable.
3. ActiveSync will automatically detect your
T-Mobile Dash and begin the setup process.
4. You can choose to synchronize directly with
your e-mail server* or with your PC.

With Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile®, the
T-Mobile Dash keeps you connected by
giving you instant access to your personal
and business e-mail, calendar, and
contacts – right from your phone. Share
and view pictures, video, and other large
attachments (Microsoft Office documents,
PDF files, etc.)
From the T-Mobile Dash:
1. From the “Start” menu, select ActiveSync.
2. Select Menu, then select the Server Setup
option.
3. ActiveSync will walk you through the setup
process.*

T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi service on
T-Mobile’s powerful nationwide data
network, all for $29.99/month when added
to a T-Mobile voice plan.
*Technical Note: Synchronization with a server
requires use of a push-capable server such as
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. You will be
prompted to enter server and user information.
This information should be provided by your IT
administrator.
