Precautions

Sunbeam are very safety conscious when

designing and manufacturing consumer products, but it is essential

that the product user also exercise care when using an electrical

appliance. Listed below are precautions which are essential for the

safe use of an electrical appliance:

• Read carefully and save all the instructions provided with an

appliance.

• Always turn the power off at the power outlet before you insert

or remove a plug. Remove

by grasping the plug - do not pull on the cord.

• Turn the power off and remove the plug

when the appliance is not in use and

before cleaning.

• Do not use your appliance with an extension cord unless this

cord has been checked

and tested by a qualified technician or

service person.

• Always use your appliance from a power

outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked

on the appliance.

• This appliance is not intended for use by young children or

infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by

a responsible adult to ensure that they can use the appliance

safely.

• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

play with the appliance.

• Never leave an appliance unattended while

in use.

• Do not use an appliance for any purpose

other than its intended use.

• Do not place an appliance on or near a hot gas flame, electric

element or on a heated oven. Do not place on top of any other

appliance.

• Do not let the power cord of an appliance hang over the edge

of a table or bench top or touch any hot surface.

• Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord

or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner. If

damage is suspected, return the appliance to the nearest

Sunbeam Appointed Service Centre

for examination, repair or adjustment.

• For additional protection, Sunbeam recommend the use of

a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not

exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying power to

your appliances.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water

or any other liquid unless recommended.

Using your Cordless

BeardTrimmer&Shaper

Using for the first time

• The appliance must be fully charged before using for the

first time.

• To reach the optimum recharge capacity, the batteries

should be charged for 8.5 hours. Do not charge for longer

than this time.

• Ensure that the Beard Trimmer & Shaper is switched off by

pushing down the on / off switch.

• Insert the charger lead into the charging stand and place the

Beard Trimmer & Shaper firmly into the slot location

• Plug the adaptor into a suitable mains outlet and switch on.

• The red light on the appliance will light up and will switch

to green when charging is completed.

• The Beard Trimmer & Shaper will work for approximately 35

minutes on full charge.

• Recharging after each use is not needed if the 35 minute

working period has not been fully used.

• It is not possible to use this appliance when the adaptor is

plugged into the mains.

Note: Do not charge for longer than the recommended

time of 8.5 hours.

Using the nose & ear hair trimmer

• Attach the nose hair trimmer attachment by placing on the

unit and turning clockwise until it clicks into place.

• Switch the appliance on.

• Insert the appliance into the ear or nose but no more than

6mm.

• Rotate in a circular movement.

• The appliance can also be used to trim stray eyebrow hairs.

Move the appliance slowly and carefully keeping the unit

away from the eye socket.

• Remove all attachments by twisting anticlockwise and

pulling off.

Using the beard & sideburn trimmer

• Attach the beard & sideburn trimmer attachment by placing

on the unit and turning clockwise until it clicks into place.

• Choose the length of beard or moustache you require and

attach the appropriate comb by placing over the head of the

attachment and clicking into place.

• Move the switch on the comb to the required length. We

recommend that you start with a longer length and then

move to a shorter cut if necessary.

• Ensure that your beard or moustache is dry and using the

comb provided, make sure that all the hairs are facing the

same direction.

• Switch the appliance on.

• Start under the chin and follow your jaw line moving in an

upward direction.

• This attachment can also be used to trim sideburns.

Using the beard shaping blade

• Attach the beard shaping attachment by placing on the unit

and turning clockwise until it clicks into place.

• Switch the appliance on.

• Use this blade to create smooth lines and edges or your own

unique beard design.

Using the shaver head

• Attach the shaver head attachment by placing on the unit

and turning clockwise until it clicks into place.

• Switch the appliance on.

• Use to tidy the back of the neck and to create defined beard

edges around the jaw line.

Battery Disposal

At the end of the product’s life, the Cordless Beard Trimmer

& Shaper must be returned to a Sunbeam Service Centre for

correct disposal of the Nimh rechargeable battery.

The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is

scrapped. The battery is to be disposed of safely.

Care and Cleaning

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• The appliance can be wiped with a cloth dampened in water

and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Remove hair from the blades after each use with the

cleaning brush supplied.

• The adjustable cutting guide can be washed under a running

tap.

• Do not rinse the entire unit in water – only the adjustable

cutting guide.

• Store in a cool, dry place.

• The blades of the attachment must be oiled regularly to

maintain their performance. Wipe the blades with a few

drops of the oil supplied and remove any excess before

using.
