storage handle in the “store” position. Store machine in a
dry, covered area where the weather can’t damage it.
WASHING WITH DETERGENT
See Figure 18.
Use only soaps designed for pressure washers; household
detergents can damage the pump. Many detergents require
mixing prior to use. Follow manufacturer’s instructions on
the solution bottle. Prepare cleaning solution as instructed
on the solution bottle.
TO STORE THE MACHINE
nPlace the injection hose in the bottom of the detergent
bucket.
nCarefully pour the cleaning solution into the bucket taking
care not to splash the solution.
nInstall the black nozzle on the spray wand.
nSpray the detergent on a dry surface using long, even,
overlapping strokes. To prevent streaking, do not allow
the detergent to dry on the surface.
Before shutting off the engine:
nPlace the injection hose in a bucket of clean water.
nFlush for 1 - 2 minutes (spray clear water through the
spray wand).
nShut off the engine.
NOTE: Shutting OFF ( O ) the engine will not relieve pressure
in the system. Pull trigger to release water pressure.

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
nLift the edge of the air filter carefully and pull it out.
nWash the air filter with warm, soapy water.
nRinse and squeeze to dry.
WARNING:
nPut small amount of 30 wt. motor oil on the filter sponge.
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
Squeeze out the excess oil then reinstall the air filter.
NOTE: Make sure the filter is seated properly inside the
cover. Installing the filter incorrectly will allow dirt to enter
the engine, causing rapid engine wear.
nReinstall the cover.
Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be
repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should
be replaced at a Ryobi Authorized Service Center.
