Connecting Your Speaker
Using the Speaker Terminals
1.Connect one pair of speaker wires(not
supplied) to the color-coded connectors
on the back of the speaker, and match the
connectors to your amplifier.
Keep your speaker dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry
immediately. Use and store your speaker only
in room temperature environments. Handle
your speaker carefully; do not drop it. Keep
your speaker away from dust and dirt, and wipe
it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new.
Or, you can use more than one speaker.
If your speaker is not performing as it should,
take it to your local RadioShack store for
assistance. To locate your nearest
RadioShack, use the store locator feature on
RadioShack's website (www.radioshack.com),
or call 1-800-The Shack (843-7422) and follow
the menu options. Modifying or tampering with
the speaker’s internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty.
This results in an 8-ohm load on the
amplifier. If you connect a second
speaker in series, the load increases to
16 ohms. If you connect a second
speaker in parallel, the load decreases
to 4 ohms. Check your amplifier’s
specifications to determine the best
connection.
MONO plug
Caution: You might permanently damage your
speakers by cleaning them with a vacuum cleaner. Use
a feather duster or a soft, loose cloth instead.
2.To insert the speaker wire, press down on
the red or black push-release button on the
back of the speaker and insert the tip of the
speaker wire.
