first time, please ensure that the
batteries are fully charged for about
16 hours.This will guarantee a longer

disturbance from other radio services.
Automatic power on/off indicator
The FM transmitter automatically switches
on and starts transmitting when audio
signals are detected at the audio input (red
LED).When no audio signals are detected
the FM transmitter automatically switches
off after a few minutes.
Rechargeable system
The FM transmitter recharges the
headphone’s built-in rechargeable LR03/ AAA
NiCd batteries. Just place the batteries in the
transmitter’s battery compartment.The green
LED lights up during charging.

Controls
Easy transmission
Transmitter (figure 1)
The FM headphone is able to receive signals
from the transmitter, even through barriers
such as doors, walls and windows.
1 Recharging indicator – the green LED
lights up during recharging. Completely flat
batteries will be fully charged after about
16 hours.
Multiple headphones with one
transmitter
2 Power indicator – lights up when audio
An additional number of headphones
and/or wireless speakers can be used with a
single transmitter if they:
- operate in the 433 MHz band
- can detect a 19 kHz pilot tone.

12 Volt/200 mA AC/DC adapter.

batteries (preferably Philips).

Troubleshooting
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair.
If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or
service centre.
WARNING: Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this
would invalidate the warranty.

No sound
– Check if the AC/DC adapter is fully inserted into the
AC outlet and that its DC connector is properly inserted
into the 12Volt DC input connector located at the rear
of the transmitter.
– Check if the headphone’s on/off switch is in the on
position.
– Headphone batteries running low. Remove the
earcushions.Take out the batteries and put them in the
transmitter’s recharging compartment for recharging.

– Check if the audio source is switched on and tuned to
a channel with audio.
–Volume not adjusted.Adjust the volume on the audio
source/ headphone to a higher level.
– Adjust the headphone’s tuning frequency.Turn the
tuning wheel until the signal is at its clearest.
– Make use of the HC352 transmitter. Some transmitters
already built into other equipment may not be
compatible with the HC355 headphone because of the
advanced technologies used in the HC355 headphone.
Distorted sound
– Adjust the headphone’s tuning frequency.Turn the tuning
wheel until the signal is at its clearest.
– Adjust the transmitter’s frequency. Select any of the
2 channels of the transmitter. Next adjust the
headphone’s frequency by turning the tuning wheel until
the signal is at its clearest.
– Headphone batteries running low. Remove the
earcushions.Take out the batteries and put them in the
transmitter’s recharging compartment for recharging.

Troubleshooting
Distorted sound
– Check the volume on audio source/ headphone is not
set at too high a level. Reduce the volume.
– Distance from the transmitter is too large. Move closer
to the transmitter.
– Interference from fluorescent lamps/ other radio
sources. Move transmitter or headphone elsewhere/
change the transmitter’s channel.
– Make use of the HC352 transmitter. Some transmitters
already built into other equipment may not be
compatible with the HC355 headphone because of the
advanced technologies used in the HC355 headphone.
Maintenance
– If the headphone will not be used for a long time,
please remove the batteries to prevent leakage and
corrosion.
– Only replace the batteries with LR03/AAA NiCd
batteries (preferably Philips).
– Do not leave the headphone near heat sources. Do
not expose to direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture,
rain or any kind of mechanical shock.
– Do not use alcohol, thinner or petroleum-based
substances to clean the headphone or transmitter. Use a
slightly dampened chamois cloth to clean the housing.
– Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, spirits,
ammonia or abrasives as these may harm the housing.
Hearing Safety! Continuous use at a high volume may permanently
damage your hearing.

Indicatore automatico

La trasmittente MF si accende
automaticamente ed inizia a trasmettere
quando i segnali audio vengono rilevati
all’ingresso audio (LED rosso). Quando non
vengono rilevati segnali audio, la
trasmittente MF si spegne automaticamente
dopo pochi minuti.
Sistema ricaricabile
Apparecchi radio per applicazioni
audio senza fili non sono protetti da
disturbi provenienti da altri servizi radio.
La trasmittente MF ricarica automaticamente
le batterie LR03/AAA NiCd ricaricabili
incorporate. Mettete le batterie nello
scomparto batterie della trasmittente.

Alimentazione della

Alimentazione della cuffia
IMPORTANTE

Usare solamente l’adattatore Philips
CA/CC 12 volt/200 mA, SBC CS30/00
Usate solo batterie LR03/AAA NiCd
ricaricabili (preferibilmente Philips).
Non usate batterie NiMH o alcaline
poiché potrebbero danneggiare il
sistema MF senza fili!
1 Assicuratevi che la tensione nominale
dell’adattatore corrisponda a quella della
presa.
1 Controllate che il tasto dell’alimentazione
della cuffia MF sia in posizione.
2 Collegate il connettore CC dell’adattatore
CA/CC al connettore d’ingresso
dell’alimentazione CC che si trova sul retro
della trasmittente.
2 Per ricaricare le batterie LR03/AAA NiCd
ricaricabili incorporate della cuffia, aprite lo
scomparto batterie della cuffia.Tirate fuori
le batterie e mettetele nello scomparto di
ricarica della trasmittente per ricaricarle.
3 Collegate l’adattatore CA/CC di
12Volt/200 mA alla presa della rete.
– Scollegate sempre l’adattatore CA/CC
se la trasmittente non viene usata per un
lungo periodo di tempo.
Note:
Batterie completamente scariche hanno
bisogno di circa 16 ore di ricarica.
Rimuovete sempre le batterie se la cuffia
non viene usata per un lungo periodo di tempo.
4 Inserite il tubo dell’antenna nel foro che si
trova sopra la trasmittente.Assicuratevi che
il filo che esce da quel foro venga guidato
nel tubo dell’antenna.
Le batterie contengono delle sostanze
chimiche, quindi vi raccomandiamo di
smaltirle nel modo adeguato.
– L’installazione corretta del tubo
dell’antenna migliorerà la gamma di
trasmissione.

Collegamenti audio
2 Accendete la sorgente audio ed
aumentatene cautamente il volume. Il LED

trasmittente si illumina quando sta
ricevendo un segnale audio.

stereo da 3,5 mm a 6,3 mm.

Ricerca dei guasti
In caso di guasto, prima di portare l’apparecchio a riparare, controllate i punti
sottoelencati.
Se non si è in grado di risolvere il problema seguendo questi suggerimenti, rivolgetevi
al proprio rivenditore o al centro di assistenza.
AVVERTENZA: In nessuna circostanza bisogna tentare di riparare personalmente
l’apparecchio; tali interventi annullano la garanzia.

Assenza di suono
– Controllate che l’adattatore CA/CC sia tutto inserito
nella presa CA e che il connettore CC sia inserito
correttamente nel connettore d’ingresso di 12Volt CC
che si trova sul retro della trasmittente.
– Controllate che l’interruttore di alimentazione della
cuffia sia acceso.
– La batteria della cuffia è scarica. Rimuovete i cuscini
auricolari.Tirate fuori le batterie e mettetele nello
scomparto di ricarica della trasmittente per ricaricarle.
(Vedi alimentazione della cuffia)
– Controllate che la sorgente audio sia accesa e
sintonizzata su di un canale con audio.
–Volume non regolato. Regolate il volume della sorgente
audio/cuffia ad un livello più alto.
– Regolate la frequenza di sintonizzazione della cuffia.
Girare la rotella di sintonizzazione fino a quando il
segnale è al massimo dalla chiarezza.
– Utilizzate la trasmittente HC352.Alcune trasmittenti
già incorporate nell’attrezzatura potrebbero non essere
compatibili con la cuffia HC355 a causa dell’alta
tecnologia utilizzata in questo modello.
Suono distorto
– Regolate la frequenza di sintonizzazione della cuffia.
Girare la rotella di sintonizzazione fino a quando il
segnale è al massimo dalla chiarezza.
– Regolate la frequenza della trasmittente. Selezionate

Ricerca dei guasti
Suono distorto
– Controllate che il volume della sorgente audio/cuffia
non sia stato impostato ad un livello troppo alto.
Riducete il volume.
– La distanza dalla trasmittente è troppo grande.
Portatevi più vicino alla trasmittente.
– Interferenza da lampade fluorescenti/altre sorgenti
radio. Spostate la trasmittente o la cuffia ad un altro
posto/cambiate il canale della trasmittente.
– Utilizzate la trasmittente HC352.Alcune trasmittenti
già incorporate nell’attrezzatura potrebbero non essere
compatibili con la cuffia HC355 a causa dell’alta
tecnologia utilizzata in questo modello.
Manutenzione
– Se la cuffia non deve essere usata per un lungo
periodo di tempo, vi preghiamo togliere le batterie per
impedire perdite e corrosione.
– Sostituite le batterie soltanto con LR03/AAA NiCd
(preferibilmente Philips).
– Non lasciate la cuffia vicino alla sorgente. Non
esponetela alla diretta luce del sole, ad eccessiva polvere,
alla pioggia o a qualsiasi sorta di urto meccanico.
– Non usate alcool, diluente o sostanze a base di
petrolio per pulire la cuffia o la trasmittente. Usate un
panno di pelle di camoscio per pulire l’alloggiamento.
– Non usate detersivi che contengono alcool, alcool
depurato, ammoniaca o abrasivi poiché potrebbero
danneggiare l’alloggiamento.

– Utilice el transmisor HC352.Algunos transmisores ya
están integrados en otro equipo es posible que no sean

Sonido distorsionado
– Las pilas de los auriculares se están agotando. Retire las
almohadillas para los oídos. Retire las pilas y colóquelas
en el compartimento de recarga del transmisor para
recargarlas.

– Compruebe que el volumen de la fuente de
audio/auriculares no esté ajustado a un nivel demasiado
alto. Reduzca el volumen.
– La distancia al transmisor es demasiado grande.
Acérquese al transmisor.
– Interferencia producida por lámparas fluorescentes/
otras fuentes de radio. Cambie de sitio el transmisor o
los auriculares/cambie el canal del transmisor.
– Utilice el transmisor HC352. Es posible que algunos
transmisores integrados en otro equipo no sean
compatibles con los auriculares HC355 hedebido a las
avanzadas tecnologías utilizadas en los mismos.
Mantenimiento
– Si los auriculares no van a utilizarse por un período
largo, retire las pilas para evitar escapes y corrosión en
las mismas.
– Cambie solamente las pilas por pilas LR03/AAA NiCd
(preferiblemente Philips).
– No deje los articulares cerca de fuentes de calor. No
los exponga a la luz directa del sol, polvo excesivo,
humedad, lluvia o cualquier tipo de choque mecánico.
– No utilice alcohol, solventes o sustancias con base de
petróleo para limpiar los auriculares o el transmisor.
Utilice una gamuza ligeramente húmeda para limpiar la
caja.
– No utilice agentes de limpieza que contengan alcohol,
amoniaco o abrasivos ya que pueden dañar la caja.
¡Cuidado de sus oídos!
La utilización continua a alto volumen puede dañar seriamente su oído.
