Note: The Scaltrol (item 1) ships with the check valve (item 5). All of the
others items shown are for a suggested installation. Installations must com-
ply with all applicable regulatory, health and building codes. It is the respon-
sibility of the installer to ensure that requirements are met. It is also the
responsibility of the installer to ensure that plumbing is properly supported.

Unit Mounting Instructions:
1. The Scaltrol is to be securely mounted to a wall or piece of equipment
using the attached mounting bracket. It must be installed so that the car-
tidge is pointing towards the floor. The Scaltrol unit will not operate correctly
otherwise. Ensure that whatever the unit is mounted to is able to support the
weight of the Scaltrol.

2. The unit should be mounted with a shut-off valve (as shown with item 2).
This will allow for easy cartidge replacement.
3. The check valve should be mounted with the direction arrow pointing
away from the Scaltrol.

4. Connect to dishmachine’s incoming plumbing.
WARNING
The Scaltrol should never be installed in direct sunlight or in an area exposed to excessively cold/freezing temperatures!
Cartridge Replacement Instructions:
Replace when the level in the cartridge reaches the bottom red end cap. Use the attached wrench to unscrew the cartridge chamber and remove the
cartridge. Once replaced with a new one (contact your chemical specialist regarding replacement parts), screw the cartridge chamber back on and
tighten by hand. DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE CARTRIDGE CHAMBER!
You may order a replacement cartridge using part number RSC-100. This entire kit (ScalTrol unit, check valve and this instruction sheet) can be
ordered using part number 6401-003-05-80.
Specifications:
1. Check valve - 3/4” NPT, brass construction with 3 lbs cracking pressure.
2. Scaltrol, 3/4” NPT inlet and outlet, plastic body with replaceable cartridge.
