2.1 Intended Use

The crutches are designed for persons with limited walking ability and serve to increase their ability to

walk. The crutches can be used inside and outside the house.

2.2 General Warnings

ACCESSORIES WARNING

Invacare products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in conjunction

with Invacare accessories. Accessories designed by other manufacturers have not

been tested by Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare products.

WARNING

Each individual should ALWAYS consult with their physician or therapist to

determine proper adjustment and usage. A physical/occupational therapist should

assist in the height adjustment for maximum support.

The cuffs are designed to add stability to the elbow crutch and are not intended to

support the users weight.

Care should be taken to ensure that all hand and height adjustments are secure

before using this or any mobility aid.

If hand grips are exposed to extreme temperature [above 100°F (37°C) or below

32°F (0°C)], high humidity and/or becomes wet, prior to use, ensure hand grips DO

NOT twist on the crutch handle - otherwise damage or injury may occur.

Before use, ensure that all hardware is tightened securely.

If exposed to extreme temperature [above 106°F (41°C )], the crutch will be hot and first

degree burns may occur. Allow crutch to cool before using.

Exercise extra care when walking on a slippery or wet surface.

4 Usage

4.1 Leg Height Adjustment

1. Loosen the leg collar (8153 models only).

2. Depress the snap button.

5 After Use

5.1 Care and Maintenance

5.2 Disposal

When the product can no longer be used, the

product, accessories and the packaging materials

should be sorted correctly.

Please be environmentally responsible and recycle

this product through your recycling facility at its end

of life.

DO NOT use an abrasive detergent,

cleaner or cloth to clean or dry the

elbow crutches.



1. Regular cleaning of the elbow crutches is

recommended. Wipe all surfaces with a damp

cloth and allow all surfaces to dry before use.

2. Regular inspection of parts including hardware,

brackets, and plastics, for deformation,

corrosion, breakage, wear or compression is

recommended. Replace the crutches if any of

these conditions exist.

3. If hand grips are loose, DO NOT use the

crutches. If rubber crutch tips are worn or

cracked, replace the crutch tips

IMMEDIATELY.

5.3 Reuse

6 Limited Warranty - North America

PLEASE NOTE: THE WARRANTY BELOW HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL LAW APPLICABLE

TO PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED AFTER JULY 4, 1975.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser/user of our products.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.

Invacare warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three years for the original

purchaser. If within such warranty period any such product shall be proven to be defective, such product shall be repaired

or replaced, at Invacare’s option. This warranty does not include any labor or shipping charges incurred in replacement

part installation or repair of any such product. Invacare’s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty

shall be limited to such repair and/or replacement.

For warranty service, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased your Invacare product. In the event you do

not receive satisfactory warranty service, please write directly to Invacare at the address on the back cover. Provide

dealer's name, address, model number, the date of purchase, indicate nature of the defect and, if the product is serialized,

indicate the serial number.

Invacare Corporation will issue a return authorization. The defective unit or parts must be returned for warranty

inspection using the serial number, when applicable, as identification within thirty (30) days of return authorization date.

DO NOT return products to our factory without our prior consent. C.O.D. shipments will be refused; please prepay

shipping charges.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS: THE WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO PROBLEMS ARISING FROM

NORMAL WEAR OR FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS. IN ADDITION, THE

FOREGOING WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO SERIAL NUMBERED PRODUCTS IF THE SERIAL NUMBER

HAS BEEN REMOVED OR DEFACED; PRODUCTS SUBJECTED TO NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT, IMPROPER

OPERATION, MAINTENANCE OR STORAGE; OR PRODUCTS MODIFIED WITHOUT INVACARE'S EXPRESS

WRITTEN CONSENT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: MODIFICATION THROUGH THE USE OF

UNAUTHORIZED PARTS OR ATTACHMENTS: PRODUCTS DAMAGED BY REASON OF REPAIRS MADE TO

ANY COMPONENT WITHOUT THE SPECIFIC CONSENT OF INVACARE; PRODUCTS DAMAGED BY

CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND INVACARE'S CONTROL; PRODUCTS REPAIRED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN AN

INVACARE DEALER, SUCH EVALUATION SHALL BE SOLELY DETERMINED BY INVACARE.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, IF ANY,

INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

IT SHALL NOT EXTEND BEYOND THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN AND

Chaque personne doit TOUJOURS consulter son médecin ou son kinésithérapeute afin de

déterminer les réglages et l’utilisation qui lui sont appropriés. Un physiothérapeute/

ergothérapeute doit aider au réglage de la hauteur de la canne anglaise, afin que le soutien

soit optimal.

Les manchettes sont conçues pour rendre la canne anglaise plus stable et non pour

supporter le poids des utilisateurs.

Veiller à ce que tous les réglages de la poignée et de la hauteur soient sécurisés avant

d’utiliser la canne anglaise ou toute autre aide à la mobilité.

Si les poignées d’appui sont exposées à des températures extrêmes [supérieures à 37 C

(100°F) ou inférieures à 0 °C (32°F)], à une forte humidité et/ou sont mouillées avant leur

utilisation, assurez-vous qu’elles NE SONT PAS vrillées sur la poignée de la canne anglaise,

sinon elles pourraient causer des dommages ou des blessures.

Avant utilisation, veiller à ce que tout matériel soit solidement fixé.

Exposée à une température extrême (supérieure à 41 °C), la canne chauffe, cela peut

provoquer des brûlures au premier degré. Laisser la béquille refroidir avant de l’utiliser.

Avancer avec une prudence accrue sur les surfaces glissantes ou mouillées.

4 Utilisation

4.1 Réglage de la hauteur de jambe

1. Desserrer le collet de blocage de la hauteur

de jambe (Modèles 8153 uniquement).

5 Après utilisation

5.1 Soin et entretien

Si le produit n’est plus utilisable, trier le produit, les

accessoires et les matériaux d’emballage correctement.

Merci de préserver l’environnement et de recycler ce

produit en fin de vie auprès de votre station de

recyclage locale.

NE PAS utiliser un détergent, un



nettoyant ou un chiffon abrasif pour

nettoyer ou sécher les cannes

anglaises.

1. Il est recommandé de nettoyer régulièrement les

cannes anglaises. Essuyer toutes les surfaces avec

un chiffon doux humidifié et les laisser sécher

avant de les utiliser.

5.3 Réutilisation

AVERTISSEMENT : Risque

de blessure

Demandez toujours à un revendeur

d’inspecter le produit avant de le

céder à un autre utilisateur. En cas de

dommages, NE PAS utiliser le produit.

Il y a un risque de blessures.

2. Il est recommandé d’inspecter régulièrement les

pièces, les supports et les parties en plastique afin

de s’assurer qu’ils ne sont pas déformés,

corrodés, cassés, usés ou comprimés. Si c’est le

cas, les cannes anglaises doivent être remplacées.

3. Si les poignées d’appui sont desserrées, NE PAS

utiliser les cannes anglaises. Si les extrémités en

caoutchouc sont usées ou fendues, les remplacer

IMMÉDIATEMENT.

Invacare garantit à l'acheteur initial que ce produit est exempt de défaut de matériau et de fabrication, et ce, pour une

durée de trois (3) ans. Si, au cours de la période de garantie, un produit est jugé défectueux, ce produit sera réparé ou

remplacé à la discrétion d'Invacare. Cette garantie ne comprend pas les frais de main d'œuvre ou de transport engagés

pour l'installation des pièces de remplacement ou la réparation de ce produit. L'unique obligation d'Invacare et votre seul

recours se limitent à la réparation et/ou au remplacement de l'appareil.

Pour un service de garantie, veuillez contacter le revendeur auquel vous avez acheté votre produit Invacare. Si vous n'êtes

pas satisfait du service au titre de la garantie, écrivez directement à Invacare à l'adresse figurant à la dernière page. Veuillez

indiquer les nom et adresse du revendeur, le numéro du modèle, la date d'achat, la nature du défaut, et si le produit

provient d'une série, indiquez le numéro de série.

Invacare Corporation émettra une autorisation de retour. Les composants ou pièces défectueux doivent être renvoyés

en vue d'une inspection au titre de la garantie, le numéro de série servant le cas échéant de moyen d'identification, dans les

trente (30) jours suivant la date d'autorisation de retour. NE RENVOYEZ PAS de produits à notre usine sans accord

préalable. Les envois contre remboursements (C.O.D) étant refusés, vous êtes tenu de prépayer les frais d'envoi.

1.1 Symbolen

WAARSCHUWING BIJ DE ACCESSOIRES

Invacare-producten worden speciaal ontworpen en gemaakt voor gebruik in

combinatie met Invacare-accessoires. Accessoires die zijn ontworpen door andere

fabrikanten, zijn niet getest door Invacare en worden niet aanbevolen voor gebruik

met Invacare-producten.

WAARSCHUWING

Elke gebruiker moet ALTIJD zijn/haar arts of therapeut raadplegen om de juiste

instelling en de juiste gebruiksmethode te bepalen. Een fysiotherapeut of

ergotherapeut moet helpen om de juiste hoogte-instelling te bepalen voor een

optimale ondersteuning.

De manchetten werden zo ontworpen, dat ze de stabiliteit van de elleboogkruk

verhogen. Ze zijn niet bedoeld om het gewicht van de gebruiker te ondersteunen.

Zorg ervoor dat alle onderdelen voor hand- en hoogte-instellingen goed werden

vastgezet voordat u dit of een andere mobiliteitshulpmiddel gebruikt.

Indien de handgrepen worden blootgesteld aan extreme temperaturen [meer dan

37°C (100°F) of minder dan 0°C (32°F)], of een hoge vochtigheid en/of indien ze nat

worden, dan moet u zich er voorafgaand aan het gebruik van vergewissen dat de

handgrepen NIET op het handvat van de kruk draaien. Anders kan dat leiden tot

schade of verwondingen.

Kijk voor gebruik na dat alle onderdelen stevig vastzitten.

Wanneer de kruk wordt blootgesteld aan extreme temperaturen (boven de 41 °C)

kan deze heet worden en eerstegraads brandwonden veroorzaken. Laat vóór gebruik

de kruk afkoelen.

Wees extra voorzichtig bij het lopen op gladde of natte opper-

vlakken.

4 Gebruik

4.1 Instelling van de beenhoogte

5 Na gebruik

5.1 Verzorging en onderhoud

5.2 Afvoer

Als het product niet langer gebruikt kan worden,

dient het product, de accessoires en het

verpakkingsmateriaal op de juiste wijze

gesorteerd te worden.

Gebruik GEEN schurend



reinigingsmiddel of schurende

doek om de elleboogkrukken te

reinigen of te drogen.

Wij hopen dat u voldoende milieubewust bent om

dit product na de levensduur naar een

afvalverwerkingsstation te brengen.

1. Het is aanbevolen om de elleboogkrukken

regelmatig te reinigen. Wrijf alle oppervlakken

schoon met een vochtige doek en laat alle

oppervlakken drogen voor gebruik.

2. Het is aanbevolen om de onderdelen, zoals de

metalen onderdelen, de manchetten en de

plastic onderdelen regelmatig te controleren

op vervorming, corrosie, breuk, slijtage of

compressie. Vervang de krukken indien u een

van deze beschadigingen vaststelt.

3. Gebruik de krukken NIET indien de

handgrepen los zitten. Vervang de rubberen

doppen ONMIDDELLIJK indien ze versleten of

gescheurd zijn.

5.3 Reuse

ADVERTENCIA

Cada persona debe consultar SIEMPRE a su médico o terapeuta para determinar el ajuste y uso

adecuados. Un fisioterapeuta o terapeuta ocupacional deberían ayudar a ajustar la altura para lograr el

máximo apoyo.

Las abrazaderas se han diseñado para aumentar la estabilidad de la muleta de codo y no para soportar

el peso del usuario.

Hay que asegurarse de que todos los ajustes de altura y de mano estén bien apretados antes de utilizar

este o cualquier otro dispositivo de ayuda a la movilidad.

Si las empuñaduras están expuestas a temperaturas extremas (por encima de 37 ºC o por debajo de 0

ºC), una humedad elevada o se mojan, asegúrese antes del uso de que las empuñaduras NO giren en la

agarradera de la muleta; en caso contrario podrían producirse daños o lesiones.

Antes del uso, asegúrese de que todos los componentes estén bien apretados.

Si se expone a una temperatura extrema (más de 41 C ), la muleta se recalentará y

puede provocar quemaduras de primer grado. Deje que la muleta se enfríe antes de

utilizarla.

Extreme la prudencia en las superficies resbaladizas o mojadas.

4 Utilización

4.1 Ajuste de la longitud de la pata

Se as pegas forem expostas a temperaturas extremas (acima de 37°C ou abaixo de

0°C), humidade elevada e/ou forem molhadas, antes da utilização, certifique-se de que

as pegas NÃO rodam no apoio de mão da canadiana – caso contrário, poderão

ocorrer danos ou lesões.

4 Utilizzo

4.1 Regolazione dell'altezza gamba

1. Allentare il dispositivo di arresto gamba (solo

modelli 8153).

2. Premere il pulsante a scatto.

3. Spostare in alto o in basso la gamba telescopica

sino a raggiungere l’altezza desiderata.

L’impugnatura dovrebbe essere posizionata

generalmente all’altezza del polso. Rivolgersi a

un fisioterapista per avere informazioni sulla

corretta regolazione dell’altezza.

4. Serrare il dispositivo di arresto gamba (solo

modelli 8153).

4.2 Regolazione dell'altezza braccio

1. Allentare il dispositivo di arresto manicotto.

2. Premere il pulsante a scatto.

3. Spostare in alto o in basso il poggia braccio sino

a raggiungere l’altezza desiderata.

L’impugnatura dovrebbe essere posizionata

generalmente all’altezza del polso. Rivolgersi a

un fisioterapista per avere informazioni sulla

corretta regolazione dell’altezza.

4. Serrare il dispositivo di arresto manicotto.

Verificare che il pulsante a scatto

sporga completamente attraverso il

foro di regolazione altezza;

diversamente, possono verificarsi

scatto si incastra nel foro di

regolazione altezza, si avverte un

"clic".

5 Dopo l’uso

5.1 Cura e manutenzione

5.2 Smaltimento

Al termine del ciclo di vita del prodotto,

provvedere ad uno smaltimento corretto del

prodotto stesso, degli accessori e del materiale di

imballaggio.

NON utilizzare detergenti abrasivi,



detergenti o panni, per pulire o

asciugare le stampelle antibrachiali.

1. Si consiglia di pulire regolarmente le stampelle

antibrachiale. Passare tutte le superfici con un

panno umido e lasciarle asciugare prima

dell'uso.

2. Si consiglia di ispezionare regolarmente le parti,

come supporti e parti in plastica, per verificare

la presenza di deformazioni, corrosioni,

rotture, usura o compressioni. Sostituire le

stampelle se si presenta una di queste

condizioni.

3. Se le impugnature sono allentate, NON

utilizzare le stampelle. Se le punte della

stampella in gomma sono usurate o incrinate,

sostituirle IMMEDIATAMENTE.

modo responsabile, riciclando questo prodotto

attraverso i servizi di riciclaggio della vostra zona,

al termine del suo utilizzo.

5.3 Riutilizzo

AVVERTENZA: Pericolo

di lesioni

Fare sempre controllare da un

rivenditore che il prodotto non sia

danneggiato, prima di consegnare il

prodotto ad un altro utilizzatore. Se è

stato riscontrato un danno NON

usare il prodotto. In caso contrario, si

corre il rischio di ferirsi.
