1. On the end cap where the contacts are  
located, remove the two screws that secure  
the end cap (Fig. 1).

2. Using a small flat screw driver, release  
the locking tab on the bottom side of the  
end cap (Fig. 2).

6. Remove the two screws that hold the  
opposite end cap in place (Fig. 6).

7. Use a small flat screw driver to pry up the  
end cap to remove it (Fig. 7).  
Set the toner hopper to the side.

8. Remove the two screws that secure the  
wiper blade to the waste bin (Fig. 8).

9. Remove the wiper blade. Clean all residual  
toner from the waste bin. Inspect the recovery  
blade. Replace the wiper blade and set the  
waste bin to the side for reassembly (Fig. 9).

10. Remove the four gears from the side  
of the toner hopper (Fig 10).

11. Remove the PCR by sliding it toward  
the gear end of the cartridge and lifting the  
post once clear from the Saddle (Fig. 11).  
Clean PCR and set aside for Reassembly.

12. Remove the drum and replace during  
reassembly (Fig. 12).

13. Remove the fill plug and clean out  
residual toner from the hopper.  
Using a small flat screw driver, pry up the  
locking tab that secures the developer roller  
stabilizer plate (Fig. 13).

14. Lift up the end of the small spring  
that comes in contact with the developer  
roller end post, and then remove the  
stabilizer plate (Fig.14).

15. Remove the developer roller and clean  
with compressed air and a lint free, wax free  
wipe (Fig.15).

16. Remove the two screws that secure the  
doctor blade to the toner hopper (Fig. 16).

17. The opposite end of the spring, that  
rides on the developer roller post, sits in a  
small notch on the doctor blade. Move the  
spring to the end of the doctor blade, so not  
to damage it during removal of the blade.  
Make a note of the orientation of the spring  
for reassembly (Fig. 17).

18. Remove the doctor blade, clean  
thoroughly, and set to the side for  
reassembly (Fig. 18).

19. Clean the adder roller thoroughly with  
compressed air, and then clean the toner  
hopper of all residual toner (Fig. 19).

20. Clean, inspect and replace all  
components. Add toner and reassemble  
in reverse order (Fig. 20).

21. Replace or add (starter carts have no  
fuse) a fuse that is located on the right front  
corner of the cartridge for the Dell 1100 (Fig.  
21).
