Important Safety Instructions
1. Read Instructions - All the safety and
operating instruction should be read before the
product is operated.

are provided for ventilation and to ensure
reliable operation of the product and to protect
it from overheating, and these openings must

should never be blocked by placing the
product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar

built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack
unless proper ventilation is provided or the
manufacturer’s instruction have been adhered

from heat sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves, or other products (including
amplifiers) that produce heat. Battery shall not
be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire, or the like.

product during a lightning storm, or when it
is left unattended and unused for long periods
of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable system. This
will prevent damage to the product due to
lightning and power-line surges.

power circuits, or where it can fall into such
power lines or circuits. When installing an
outside antenna system, extreme care should
be taken to keep from touching such power
lines or circuits as contact with them might be
fatal.

headphones can cause hearing loss.

may be equipped with a polarized alternating-
current line plug (a plug having one blade
wider than the other). This plug will fit into

Powering the Unit
The unit can be powered by plugging it into a standard AC outlet (120V ~ 60Hz) using
the included AC/DC adaptor.

Using the Units Backup Battery
Insert a 9-Volt battery into the unit’s Battery Compartment to serve as a backup in case of a power failure.
(9-Volt Battery not included)
Please note, the backup battery is only meant to power the unit for a short period of time. It is not meant to
serve as the unit’s main power supply.

WARNING: Danger of explosion if the remote control’s batteries are incorrectly installed. Replace only
with the same or equivalent battery.

1. Push the Release Button and pull out the Battery Compartment to access the battery.
2. Replace the old battery with an equivalent new battery (CR2025).
3. The positive side of the battery, as indicated by a plus symbol, must be facing up when inserted into the
remote.

Docking an iPod
1. Locate the numbered Bracket that fits the iPod that will be docked.
Each included Bracket has a number on it, indicating which iPod model that
bracket is compatible with. See the separate bracket chart page to identify which
bracket is needed.
2. Snap the Bracket into place over the iPod connector in the Docking Station.
All Brackets will only fit one way onto the Dock.
When inserting an iPod nano (first or second generation), slide the Dock
connection on the unit so that it matches the opening on the iPod nano (first or
second generation).
3. Connect the iPod to the iPod connector inside the Docking Station.
Once an iPod is connected to the Docking Station, the unit will charge the docked
iPod.
Please note, when the unit is in AM radio mode, a docked iPod will not charge.

Playing an iPod
1. Dock an iPod onto the unit.
2. Press the Standby/Al Off Button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the Function Button to switch the unit to iPod mode.
4. Press the Play/Pause Button to play and pause the docked iPod.
Tuning the AM/FM Radio
1. Press the Standby/Al Off Button to turn the unit on.
2. Press the Function Button to switch the unit to AM or FM radio mode.
3. Press the Skip/Search/Tuning Buttons to tune the AM or FM radio.
Saving FM or AM Radio Stations to the Unit’s Memory
1. After tuning the AM or FM radio, to the desired station, press the Enter/Memory
Button.
2. Press the AL 1/M+ Button and AL 2/M- Button to adjust the radio memory slot.
3. Press the Enter/Memory Button to save the current radio station to the selected
memory slot.

Use the Dock for iPod to connect an iPod to the unit.

Standby/Al Off Button
Press the Standby/AL Off Button to turn the unit off and on.
Press the Standby/AL Off Button to turn the unit’s alarm off after it sounds.

Press the Volume Buttons to adjust the volume of audio output from the unit.
AL 1/M+ Button
With the power off, press and hold the AL 1/M+ Button to set alarm 1.
Press the AL 1/M+ Button to cycle through saved radio stations.

Function/Band Button
Press the Function/Band Button to switch between AM radio, FM radio, iPod, and Aux modes.
Snooze Button
Press the Snooze Button to delay the alarm for an additional 6 minutes after it sounds.
FM Wire Antenna
Adjust the FM Wire Antenna to adjust the reception of the FM radio.
Auxiliary Input
Use the Auxiliary Input to connect an MP3 player or other audio device to the unit.
Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button
With the power off, press and hold the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to set the unit’s time.
Press the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to move backwards through the iPod’s menus in iPod mode.
Press the Clock/iPod Menu/Display Button to view the time when in radio mode.

Press the Play/Pause Button to play or pause a docked iPod.
11 Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button
Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to skip between tracks on a docked iPod.
Press and hold the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to search through an individual track on a docked iPod.
Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to tune the AM and FM radio.
Press the Skip/Search/Tuning/Time Button to adjust the time when setting the clock and alarms.
12 AL 2/M- Button
With the power off, press and hold the AL 2/M- Button to set alarm 2.
Press the AL 2/M- Button to cycle through saved radio stations.
13 Enter/Memory Button
Press the Enter/Memory Button to make selections on a docked iPod.
Press the Enter/Memory Button to save the current AM or FM radio station to the unit’s memory.
14 DC Power Input
Use the DC Power Input to connect the unit to a power source such as a standard AC outlet (120V~60Hz).
15 Backup Battery Compartment (9-Volt Battery Required, Not Included)
16 Reset Button
Press the Reset Button using a paperclip or like object to restore the unit to its original manufacturers settings.
