8. Do not run cord under carpeting.
Do not cover cord with throw rugs,
runners, or similar coverings. Do
not route cord under furniture or
appliances. Arrange cord away from
traffic area and where it will not be
tripped over.
impOrtaNt iNStruCtiONS
When using electrical appliances,
basic precautions should always be
following to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, and injury to persons,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this
heater.
9. Check your heater cord and plug
connections.
a. Faulty wall outlet connections or
loose plugs can cause the outlet or
plug to overheat. Be sure the plug
fits tight in the outlet.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To
avoid burns, do not let bare skin
touch hot surfaces. If provided, use
handles when moving this heater.
Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes, and curtain at least 3 feet
(0.9 m) from the front of the heater
and keep them away from the sides
and rear.
b. Heaters draw more current than
small appliances, overheating of
the outlet may occur even if it has
not occurred with the use of other
appliances.
c. During use, check frequently to
determine if your plug outlet or
faceplate is HOT! If so, discontinue
use of the heater and have a
qualified electrician check and/or
replace the faulty outlet(s).
3. Extreme caution is necessary when
any heater is used by or near children
or invalids and whenever the heater
is left operating and unattended.
4. Do not place the heater near a bed
because objects such as pillows or
blankets can fall off the bed and be
ignited by the heater.
10. This heater is not intended for use in
bathrooms, laundry areas and similar
indoor locations. Never locate heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
5. Always unplug the heater when not in
use.
11. Do not use outdoors.
6. Always plug heaters directly into a
wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with
an extension cord or re-locatable
power tap (outlet/power strip).
12. To disconnect heater, first turn
controls to off, then remove plug from
outlet.
13. Do not insert or allow foreign objects
to enter any ventilation or exhaust
opening as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage to the
heater.
7. Do not operate heater with a
damaged cord or plug or after the
heater malfunctions, has been
dropped or damaged in any manner.
Discard heater or take to a qualified
technician for examination and/or
repair.

skin. Use of this heater is not
recommended for persons with
reduced sensitivity to heat or an
inability to react to avoid burns.
19. This product is not a toy. Keep it out
of reach of children. Children in the
area of the Heater must be closely
supervised to insure that they do not
come in contact with the Heater.
20. Maintain labels and nameplates on
the Heater. If unreadable or missing,
contact Harbor Freight Tools for a
replacement.
21. WARNING: Handling cord on this
product will expose you to lead,

California to cause cancer, and birth
defects or other reproductive harm.

turned to Off.

2. Place Heater/Fan on a sturdy, dry
surface, away from any combustible
materials.
Keep this manual for the safety
warnings and precautions, assembly,
operating, inspection, maintenance and
cleaning procedures. Write the product’s
serial number in the back of the manual
near the assembly diagram (or month
and year of purchase if product has no
number). Keep this manual and the
receipt in a safe and dry place for future
reference.
3. Plug into a 120V electrical outlet.
4. Turn the Power Switch to the LO
(low) or HI (high) setting.
5. Adjust the Thermostat (5) to the
desired setting between MIN
(minimum) and MAX (maximum).
6. The Power Light (3) turns on when
the Power Switch is set to LO or HI.

turn the Power Switch to Off and
unplug the unit.

with a thermal overload protection
feature which shuts off the unit if
the temperature rises above the
highest setting. If the unit suddenly
turns off, turn the Power Switch off,
unplug the unit, wait for it to cool
