Charge the batteries fully before  
you use the appliance for the  
first time (for at least 12 hours).  
When the appliance is fully  
charged, the display lights up  
green.

The only way to disconnect the ap-  
pliance from the power supply is to  
unplug the power supply unit.

The ambient temperature should  
be between 5 °C and 40 °C.  
After each further use, charging  
time is approx. 7 hours.

In its fully charged state, the ap-  
pliance can operate for approx.  
45 minutes. It is not advisable to  
charge the batteries after every  
use, especially if you do not use  
the appliance for the full 45 min-  
utes. Only charge the batteries  
when they are completely dis-  
charged. This increases their  
service life. Do not charge them  
every day.

a water connection, only use the  
appliance in battery mode;  
never run it from the mains.

Trimming hair  
Make sure the hair is clean and  
completely dry.  
Useful tips  
Hold the appliance with a  
relaxed and comfortable grip.

Place a towel around the neck and  
shoulders of the person whose hair  
you are trimming. Make sure the  
person is seated so that the head  
is roughly at your eye level. Before  
trimming, comb the hair so that it  
falls naturally and you can see the  
direction in which it grows.  
Always cut against the natural  
direction of the hair.

As you cut, take a break at  
regular intervals. You can  
always make a correction, but  
not once the hair has been cut.

Only cut a small amount the first  
time you use it. This is the only  
way to get used to the variable  
grades.  
1 Set the trimming length.

look for hair which is too long  
and comb out clippings.

need to be oiled. If you want to  
maintain the original condition  
of the cutting head for as long  
as possible, it is worth oiling it at  
regular intervals (with the oil  
provided).  
1 Switch off the appliance and  
unplug it if you are running it  
from the mains.  
2 Remove the adjustable combing  
system and clean the blade

pressing on the top of the cutting  
head until it springs out the  
holder.  
Storage  
If you do not want to use the  
appliance for a long period of  
time, please store it carefully.

opening in the housing and  
press down firmly.
