DISPLAY: The DISPLAY (13) shows the track number, pitch value,
single-auto cue, continue (for continuous play), and 3 different time
displays. These time displays are time elapsed (ELAPSED) on the
track, time remaining on the disc (TOTAL REMAIN) and time remaining
on the track (REMAIN). Time is measured in minutes, seconds and
frames.
INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini CDJ-30 CD Player. This-state-of-
the-art professional CD player is backed by a three year warranty,
excluding lasers. One year warranty on CD lasers. Prior to use, we
suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.
PLAYBACK DISPLAY: The PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) displays the time
remaining to play and flashes slowly when the track has 30 seconds
left. The PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) flashes quickly when the track has
15 seconds left.
CAUTIONS
1. Do not use this CD Player at temperatures below 41°F/5°C or higher
than 95°F/35°C.

JOG WHEEL: The JOG WHEEL (16) has two functions. Use the JOG
WHEEL (16) to make fine adjustments in PAUSE mode. Use the JOG
WHEEL (16) to bend the pitch for precise synchronization in PLAY
mode.
6. To prevent electric shock, do not remove the cover or the bottom
screws. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Please refer
servicing to a qualified technician.
7. Do not use chemical solvents to clean the unit.
8. Keep the laser pickup clean by keeping the tray closed.
9. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
STOP
: The STOP (18) button will end the playing of the CD.
TIME: The TIME (20) button switches the time display between the three
available choices listed under DISPLAY.
CUE: With the unit in play mode (the play/pause LED will glow), and after
the cue point has been set, pressing the CUE (10) button will cause
the CD player to enter pause mode (the play/pause LED will blink) at
the memorized cue point (the cue LED glows yellow). Holding down
the cue button changes the cue function to PREVIEW allowing you to
hear the music play from the cue point. Releasing the cue button
returns you to the preset cue point.

FLY CUE: The FLY CUE (5) function lets you set cues on the fly with one
press of a button. With the unit in the play mode (the play/pause LED
will glow), press FLY CUE (5) at the point where you want the cue
point to be (the unit will continue to play). The cue point is now
memorized. See the CUE INSTRUCTIONS section for more informa-
tion.
LINE VOLTAGE SELECTION
Model CDJ-30 is a dual voltage unit. It will operate at 115 or 230 volts. To
set the proper voltage follow these steps:
1. Place the head of a screw driver in the center of the VOLTAGE
SELECTOR (4) switch found on the rear panel.
SET CUE: Use the SET CUE (15) button to activate the DIRECT
ACCESS (12) buttons to set a CUE POINT. See the CUE INSTRUC-
TIONS section for more information.
2. Slide the switch left for 115 volts or slide the switch right for 230 volts.
3. Do not force or twist the switch. Excessive force may cause damage.
If the switch does not move smoothly, contact a qualified technician.
DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS: Use the DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons to
select what track to play and to set a CUE POINT. See the CUE
INSTRUCTIONS section for more information.
CONNECTIONS
SEAMLESS LOOP: After a cue point is memorized, pressing the CUE-B/
EXIT (6) button in play mode repeats the section between the cue
point and the point where the CUE-B/EXIT (6) button was pressed.
Press the CUE-B/EXIT (6) button again or pause play to EXIT the
repeating play. Set a new cue point from outside the loop to clear the
loop from the unit’s memory.
1. Plug one end of a set of RCA connectors into each of the LINE
OUTPUT (2) jacks.
2. Plug the other end of the RCA connectors into any available line level
input jacks on your mixer. If you are playing the CDJ-30 through a
receiver, you can plug the RCA connectors into the CD or AUX input
jacks on your receiver. If there are no CD or AUX inputs, use any line
level (not phono) inputs.
Note: If you use the SET CUE (15) to set a cue point while
the unit is playing and then use it immediately for a loop,
there will be a slight delay the first time you play the
loop. Avoid this by playing the cue before setting the
loop or by using the FLY CUE (5) or the CUE (10) to set
the cue point you want to loop from.
FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS
ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY: With 6 SECONDS OF ANTI-SHOCK
BUFFER MEMORY, the CD player stores 6 seconds of future play to
ensure that any harsh movement or bumping of the unit will not
interrupt play and play will continue smoothly.
BOP: The BOP (7) button has two functions. To return to a previously
saved loop from normal play, press the BOP (7) button after saving
the loop. To return to and instantly play from a previously saved cue
point, press the BOP (7) button after setting the cue point (if you do
not have a loop saved).
POWER SWITCH: After making sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4),
switch found on the rear panel, is properly set, plug the unit in and
press the POWER (3) switch. The unit will turn on.
Note: If you have a loop saved, you must clear the loop
from the unit’s memory before you can use the BOP
(7) button to return to a saved cue point.
DISC TRAY: The DISC TRAY (17) is where the CD is held. Pressing the
disc tray OPEN (24) button will open the tray.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/
CONTINUE (19) button activates the AUTO CUE FUNCTION. The
AUTO CUE FUNCTION causes the unit to pause at the beginning of
music of the following track and allows you to start play immediately

from the start of music without any blank space (which exists at the
beginning of every track). Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/
CONTINUE (19) button a second time activates the CONTINUOUS
function causing the unit to play continuously (after the last track, the
unit will return to the first track of the disc and continue to play).
Pressing the SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) button a third time
deactivates the CONTINUOUS function.

SUGGESTION: To avoid confusion while setting cue
points, keep the time display in ELAPSED TIME mode.
When you use the DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS to set a
cue, the track, minute, second and frame are always in
elapsed time. If the unit’s time display is in TRACK
REMAIN or TOTAL REMAIN mode, the track, minute,
second and frame displayed will be the remain time
and not the track, minute, second and frame you
entered.
PITCH: Pushing the PITCH (21) button activates the PITCH CONTROL
(23). The pitch of the CD will change according to the position of the
PITCH CONTROL (23).

2. To fine tune a cue point, pause play at the memorized cue point (the
cue LED will glow and the play/pause LED will blink), then use the
JOG WHEEL (16) or SEARCH (9) buttons to scan frame by frame (1/
75th of a second) to where you want play to begin (the cue LED will
blink while you scan). Press the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button to save the
new cue point.

-4% from the existing pitch setting. Releasing the buttons will return
the pitch to the original pitch setting. You can use this function to
match the pitch bend when mixing from one song to another.
DIGITAL OUTPUT JACK: Connecting any type of DAT, MD, HARD
DRIVE, or other such items which accept digital signals to the BNC (1)
output connector on the rear panel allows you to record a digital signal
from CD.
Note: During fine tuning there will be a stutter effect (to
help you find the beat). The stuttering effect will end
when you press the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button to save the
cue point. Also, during fine tuning if you hold down the
SEARCH (9) buttons, the unit will scan quickly after 10
frames.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) switch, found on the
rear panel, is set for the proper voltage. Plug the unit in and press the
POWER (3) switch.

If the disk will not play, check to see if the disc was loaded correctly
(label side up). Also check the disc for excessive dirt, scratches, etc.
2. Press the OPEN (24) button, place a CD in the DISC TRAY (17) and
close the tray door.
If the disc turns but there is no sound, check the cable connections. If
they are okay, check your amplifier or receiver.
3. Push the TRACK SKIP (8) buttons to select the track you want to play.
4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button and the unit will instantly play.
If the CD skips, check the CD for dirt or scratches. Do not assume
that the CD player is defective. Many CDs are recorded out of spec
and will skip on most or all CD players. Before sending the unit in for
repair, try playing a CD that you are sure plays properly.
CUE INSTRUCTIONS
1. To memorize the spot at which you want play to start, the CUE POINT,
select the proper track, and then push the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button
so the unit goes into play mode (the play/pause LED will glow). Listen
to the CD and when the CD gets to the approximate spot, push the
PLAY/PAUSE (11) button so the unit goes into pause mode (the play/
pause LED will blink). Move the JOG WHEEL (16) or use the
SEARCH (9) buttons to find the precise spot you want play to begin,
and push the PLAY/PAUSE (11) to memorize the cue point. Press
CUE (10) to return to the memorized cue point in pause mode, and
then push PLAY/PAUSE (11) to play from the cue point. Or you can
press the BOP (7) button to return to and instantly play from the
saved cue point (if you do not have a loop saved).

To use FLY CUE (5) to set a cue point, follow these instructions:
1. With the unit in the play mode (the play/pause LED will glow), press
FLY CUE (5) at the point where you want the cue point to be (the unit
will continue to play). The cue point is now memorized. Press the
BOP (7) button and the unit will instantly play from the cue point. Or
you can press the CUE (10) button to return to the memorized cue
point in pause mode, and then push the PLAY/PAUSE (11) button to
play from the cue point.
AND/OR
To use the SET CUE (15) button and the DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons
to set a cue point, follow these instructions:
1. Press the SET CUE (15) button (the set cue LED will light). Use the
DIRECT ACCESS (12) buttons to memorize the spot at which you
want play to start, the CUE POINT, by selecting the proper track,
minute, second and frame. Push the CUE (10) button to set the cue.
You can do this in any mode, including PLAY MODE, so that you may
cue a track while playing a track. Press the CUE (10) button again to
return to the memorized cue point in pause mode, and then push
PLAY/PAUSE (11) to play from the cue point. Or you can press the
BOP (7) button to return to and instantly play from the saved cue

NETZSCHALTER: Nachdem sichergestellt wurde, daß der Schieberegler
VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) auf der hinteren Schalttafel richtig
eingestellt ist, das Gerät am Netz anschließen und den Netzschalter
POWER (3) einschalten. Damit wird das Gerät eingeschaltet.
EINLEITUNG
Wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Kauf eines Gemini CDJ-30 CD-Players. Dieser
moderne CD-Spieler ist mit einer dreijährigen Garantie, ausschließlich
Laser ausgestattet. Die Garantie für CD Laser beträgt 1 Jahr. Vor
Anwendung des Gerätes lesen Sie bitte alle Anleitungen sorgfältig durch.
CD-FACH: Im CD-Fach - DISC TRAY (17) ist die CD enthalten. Das
Drücken der OPEN (24) Taste öffnet das CD-Fach.
OPEN-TASTE: Die OPEN (24) Taste drücken, um das Fach - DISC TRAY
(17) zu öffnen.
VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN
DISPLAY: Das DISPLAY (13) zeigt die Titelnummer, die

2. Das Gerät vor Tropfen und Spritzern schützen, und es dürfen keine
mit Flüssigkeit gefüllte Behälter wie Vasen darauf gestellt werden.
3. Das Gerät an einer sauberen, trockenen Stelle aufstellen.
4. Das Gerät nicht so aufstellen, daß es nicht ausreichend abgestützt ist.
PLAYBACK DISPLAY (Playback-Anzeige): Durch Drücken der Taste
PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) wird die restliche Spielzeit in Balken
optisch angezeigt und blinkt langsam, wenn 30 Sekunden bis zum
Ende des Titels verbleiben. Die Taste PLAYBACK DISPLAY (14) blinkt
schnell, wenn 15 Sekunden bis zum Ende des Titels verbleiben.
5. Wenn das Netzkabel aus einer Steckdose gezogen wird, immer am
Stecker ziehen, nicht am Kabel selbst.
6. Um das Risiko elektrischen Schocks zu vermeiden, weder das
Gehäuse noch die unteren Schrauben entfernen. Es befinden sich
keine vom Anwender zu wartenden Teile im Gehäuse. Die Wartung ist
von einem qualifizierten Techniker vorzunehmen.
PLAY/PAUSE
(Spielen/Pause): Jedesmal, wenn die Taste PLAY/
PAUSE (11) gedrückt wird, schaltet die Einheit von Spielen auf Pause
bzw. von Pause wieder auf Spielen. Im Abschnitt ZUSATZHINWEISE
befinden sich zusätzliche Informationen.

das Abspielen der CD.
Das Modell CDJ-30 ist mit einem Spannungswahlschalter ausgerüstet,
und kann mit 115 oder 230 Volt betrieben werden. Um die richtige
Spannung einzustellen (Werkseinstellung für BRD sind 230 Volt !), sind
folgende Schritte zu befolgen:
TIME (Zeit): Die Taste TIME (20) schaltet die Zeitanzeige auf eine der
verschiedenen Zeitanzeigen, die unter DISPLAY aufgeführt sind.
SPEICHERTASTE: Wenn der CD-Spieler sich im Modus PLAY befindet
(Leuchtdiode PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet auf) und nachdem der Startpunkt
eingestellt worden ist, verursacht ein Druck auf die Taste CUE (10),
daß der CD-Spielers in den Modus PAUSE (Leuchtdiode PLAY/
PAUSE wird blinken) an dem gespeicherten Startpunkt (Leuchtdiode
CUE leuchtet gelb auf) schaltet. Wenn Sie die CUE-Taste
niederdrücken, wird die Mithörfunktion auf PREVIEW zurückgesetzt
und ermöglicht Ihnen, die Musik von dem Startpunkt abzuhören. Das
Auslösen der CUE-Taste führt Sie zum voreingestellten Startpunkt
zurück.
1. Einen Schraubenzieherkopf in die Mitte des Spannungswahl-

3. Den Schalter nicht mit übermäßiger Kraft schieben oder drehen. Falls
der Schalter sich nicht bewegen läßt, wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Fachhändler.
MERKTASTE: Die Funktion FLY CUE (5) ermöglicht Ihnen, eine
Merkstelle mit dem Druck einer Taste schnell einzustellen. Wenn der
CD-Spieler im Spielmodus ist (Leuchtdiode PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet
auf), drücken Sie die Taste FLY CUE (5) an der Stelle, wo der
Startpunkt sein soll (der CD-Spieler spielt weiter). Nun ist der
Startpunkt gespeichert. Im Abschnitt CUE-ZUSATZHINWEISE finden
Sie weitere Informationen.
ANSCHLÜSSE
1. Ein Ende von einem Satz Cinch-Stecker in jeden der Anschlüsse
LINE OUTPUT (2) (Signalausgang) einstecken.
2. Das andere Ende der Cinch-Stecker in einen beliebigen Anschluß
Signaleingang des Mischpults einstecken. Wenn der CDJ-30 an
einem Empfangsgerät benutzt wird, können die Cinch-Stecker in die
Eingangsanschlüsse CD oder AUX des Empfangsgeräts eingesteckt
werden. Wenn kein CD oder AUX Eingang vorhanden ist, kann jeder
Eingang (außer Phono) verwendet werden.
SET CUE (Startstelle einstellen): Mit der Taste SET CUE (15) werden
die Tasten DIRECT ACCESS (12) aktiviert, um einen STARTPUNKT
einzustellen. Im Abschnitt CUE-ZUSATZHINWEISE finden Sie weitere
Informationen.
DIRECT ACCESS (Direktitelanwahl): Die Tasten DIRECT ACCESS (12)
werden benutzt, um den abzuspielenden Titel direkt anzuwählen und
um den STARTPUNKT einzustellen. Im Abschnitt CUE-
FUNKTIONSBESCHREIBUNG

SEAMLESS LOOP: Nachdem ein Startpunkt gespeichert wurde, und
wenn die Taste CUE-B/EXIT (6) gedrückt wird im Spiel-Modus wird

1. Wenn der CD-Spieler im Spielmodus ist (LED PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet
auf), drücken Sie die Taste FLY CUE (5) an der Stelle, wo die
Merkstelle sein soll (der CD-Spieler spielt weiter). Nun ist die
Merkstelle gespeichert. Die Taste BOP (7) drücken, und die Einheit
wird momentan von der Merkstelle an spielen, oder Sie können die
Taste CUE (10) drücken, um zur gespeicherten Merkstelle

SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Drücken der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/

stoppt das Gerät beim Start der Musik des darauffolgenden Titels und
ermöglicht das Abspielen sofort beim Start der Musik ohne jeglichen
leeren Zwischenraum (der zu Beginn eines jeden Titels besteht).
Durch Drücken der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) Taste ein
zweites Mal aktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion. Diese Funktion lässt
das Gerät fortwährend spielen (nach dem letzten Titel kehrt das Gerät
zum ersten Titel der Platte zurück und setzt das Spielen fort). Drücken
der SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) Taste ein drittes Mal
deaktiviert die CONTINUOUS Funktion.
UND/ODER
Zur Benutzung der Taste SET CUE (15) und der Taste DIRECT ACCESS
(12), um einen Merkstelle einzustellen, sind folgende Anweisungen zu
befolgen:
1. Drücken Sie die Taste SET CUE (15) (die Set Cue LED leuchtet auf).
Benutzen Sie die Taste DIRECT ACCESS (12), um die Stelle zu
speichern, ab der das Abspielen beginnen soll, d.h. die Merkstelle
(CUE POINT), indem Sie den richtigen Titel, Minute, Sekunde und
Rahmen wählen; drücken Sie die Taste CUE (10), um die Merkstelle
einzustellen. Dies kann in jedem beliebigen Modus geschehen,
einschließlich SPIELMODUS, so daß Sie eine Spur beim Abspielen
mithören können. Das nochmalige Drücken der Taste CUE (10) führt
Sie zur gespeicherten Merkstelle zurück. Die Taste PLAY/PAUSE (11)
drücken, und die Einheit wir sofort von der gewählten Stelle an

Die Geschwindigkeit der CD wird je nach Stellung des Reglers PITCH
CONTROL (23) geändert.
PITCH BEND
(Geschwindigkeitsanpassung): Wenn die Tasten
PITCH BEND (22) gedrückt werden, wird die Geschwindigkeit
automatisch +4% angehoben oder um - 4% gesenkt, gegenüber der
Originaleinstellung. Wenn die Tasten freigegeben werden, kehrt die
Geschwindigkeit zu ihrer Originaleinstellung zurück. Sie können diese
Funktion benutzen, um die Taktsynchronität beim Mischen von einem
Song zum anderen anzupassen.
NÜTZLICHER RATSCHLAG: Um beim Einstellen des
Startpunktes Verwirrung zu vermeiden, muß die
Zeitanzeige im Modus ELAPSED TIME (abgelaufene Zeit)
gehalten werden. Wenn Sie die Tasten DIRECT ACCESS
(Direkttitelanwahl) zum Einstellen eines Startpunktes
wählen, werden der Titel, Minuten, Sekunden und
Rahmen immer in abgelaufener Zeit angezeigt. Wenn die
Zeitanzeige des Gerätes im Modus TRACK REMAIN
(verbleibende Titelzeit) oder TOTAL REMAIN
DIGITALE AUSGANGSBUCHSE: Anschluss für DAT, MD, HARD DRIVE,
u.ä, die digitale Signale von dem BNC (1)-Anschluß auf der Rückseite
aufnehmen, ermöglichen Ihnen, digitale Signale von CD zu
überspielen.
BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG
1. Sicherstellen, daß der Schieberegler VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4)
(Spannungswähler) auf der hinteren Schalttafel auf die richtige
Spannung eingestellt ist. Das Gerät mit dem Netz verbinden und den
Netzschalter POWER (3) einschalten.
(verbleibende totale CD-Zeit) ist, werden der angezeigte
Titel, Minute, Sekunde und Rahmen die verbleibende
Titelzeit sein anstatt Titel, Minute, Sekunde und Rahmen
des eingegebenen Titels.
2. Die OPEN (24) Taste drücken, eine CD ins CD-FACH - DISC TRAY
(17) legen, und das Fach schließen.

ZUSATZHINWEISE
Hinweis: Während des Feineinstellens wird ein
Stottereffekt erzeugt (hilft Ihnen, den Beat zu finden).
Der Stottereffekt hört auf, wenn Sie die Taste PLAY/
PAUSE (11) drücken, um den Startpunkt zu sichern. Beim
Feineinstellen können Sie ebenfalls die Tasten SEARCH
(9) drücken; das System wird schnell mit 10 Rahmen
abtasten.
1. Um die genaue Stelle zu speichern, an der das Abspielen bzw. die
Merkstelle (CUE POINT) einsetzen soll, ist der entsprechende Titel zu
wählen, dann die Taste PLAY/PAUSE (11) drücken, damit der CD-
Spieler in den PLAY-Modus übergeht (LED PLAY/PAUSE leuchtet
auf). Hören Sie sich die CD an, und sobald die CD ungefähr die
gewünschte Stelle erreicht, drücken Sie die Taste PLAY/PAUSE (11),
damit die Einheit in den Pause-Modus geht (LED PLAY/PAUSE wird

Wenn die CD nicht spielt, nachprüfen ob die CD richtig eingelegt
wurde (mit der beschrifteten Seite nach oben). Auch auf
Verunreinigung, Kratzer usw. überprüfen.
Wenn die CD sich dreht, aber kein Ton zu hören ist, die
Kabelanschlüsse überprüfen. Wenn diese in Ordnung sind, den
Verstärker bzw. das Empfangsgerät überprüfen.
Wenn die CD springt, ist sie auf Schmutz oder Kratzer zu überprüfen.
Man darf nicht sofort annehmen, daß der CD-Spieler defekt ist. Viele
CDs werden nicht spezifikationsgemäß aufgenommen und springen
auf den meißten oder allen CD-Spielern. Bevor Sie das Gerät zur
Reparatur einsenden, versuchen Sie, eine CD abzuspielen, bei der
Sie sicher sind das sie auf anderen Geräten funktioniert.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Felicitaciones por la compra del reproductor de discos compactos
CDJ-30 de Gemini. Este reproductor profesional de la más avanzada
tecnología está respaldado por una garantía de tres años, salvo los
lásers. Garantía de un año para el lector CD. Antes de utilizarlo, le
recomendamos leer cuidadosamente todas las instrucciones.
OPEN BUTTON (BOTON ABRIR): Pulse el botón OPEN (24) para abrir
la BANDEJA DE DISCOS - DISC TRAY (17).
DISPLAY (VISUALIZADOR): El VISUALIZADOR - DISPLAY (13)
muestra los siguientes datos: número de pista, valor del tono,
modalidad single-auto cue (punto de referencia único-auto), continue -
continuo (para la reproducción continua) y 3 cifras horarias. Estas
cifras corresponden al tiempo de pista transcurrido (ELAPSED), el
tiempo remanente de disco (TOTAL REMAIN), y el tiempo remanente
de pista (REMAIN). El tiempo se mide en minutos, segundos e
imágenes.
PRECAUCIONES
1. No use este reproductor de discos compactos en temperaturas
inferiores a 5°C o superiores a 35°C.
2. Este aparato no debería estar expuesto al goteo o a las salpicaduras
y ningun objeto lleno de líquido, tal como floreros, debería estar
colocado sobre el aparato.
PLAYBACK DISPLAY (DISPLAY PLAYBACK): El PLAYBACK DISPLAY
(14) indica el tiempo que resta para la reproducción y parpadea
lentamente cuando quedan 30 segundos de música. El PLAYBACK
DISPLAY (14) parpadea rápidamente cuando quedan 15 segundos.

CERTIFICACIONES DE SEGURIDAD
JOG WHEEL (RUEDA DE BÚSQUEDA): El JOG WHEEL (16) tiene dos
funciones. Use el JOG WHEEL (16) para hacer arreglos de precisión
en la modalidad de PAUSA. Use el JOG WHEEL (16) para adaptar el

ALIMENTACION DEL APARATO
TIEMPO: El BOTÓN DE TIME (20) hace desplegar sucesivamente los
tres datos horarios enumerados en DISPLAY.
El modelo CDJ-30 es de doble voltaje. Puede funcionar con 120 ó 230
voltios. Para cambiar el voltaje, siga los pasos siguientes:
CUE (PUNTO DE REFERENCIA): Con el aparato en la modalidad de
reproducción (la luz de reproducción/pausa se enciende) y después
de haber establecido el punto de referencia, el hecho de apretar el
pulsador CUE (10) (PUNTO DE REFERENCIA) hará pasar el
reproductor CD a la modalidad de pausa (la luz de reproducción/
pausa parpadea) en el punto de referencia memorizado (la luz
amarilla del punto de referencia se enciende). Si Ud mantiene el dedo
en el pulsador CUE, la función CUE (punto de referencia) pasará a
PREVIEW lo que le permitirá escuchar la música a partir del punto de
referencia. Si Ud saca el dedo del pulsador CUE, le lleva de nuevo al
punto CUE preestablecido.
1. Coloque la punta de un destornillador en el centro de la VOLTAGE
SELECTOR (4) - (CONMUTADOR DE SELECCIÓN DE VOLTAJE)
que se encuentra en el panel posterior.
2. Deslice el conmutador hacia la izquierda para 120 voltios o hacia la
derecha para 230 voltios.
3. No fuerce ni tuerza el conmutador. El hecho de aplicar fuerza
excesiva puede causar daños al equipo. Si el conmutador no se
mueve con suavidad, contacte con un técnico cualificado.
FLY CUE: La función FLY CUE (5) le permite introducir rápidamente
puntos de referencia al apretar un botón. Con el aparato en la
modalidad de reproducción (la luz de reproducción/pausa se
enciende), apriete FLY CUE (5) en el punto donde a Ud le gusta
introducir el punto de referencia (el aparato continúa reproduciendo).
Ahora el punto de referencia está memorizado. Véase la sección
INSTRUCCIONES DE REFERENCIA para mayor información.
CONEXIONES
1. Conecte un extremo de un juego de clavijas tipo RCA en cada uno de
los LINE OUTPUT (2) (SALIDA DE LÍNEA).
2. Conecte las clavijas restantes del conector tipo RCA a la entrada
INPUT del aparato a conectar. Si está reproduciendo la señal del
CDJ-30 mediante un receptor, puede conectar las clavijas tipo RCA
en la entrada CD (AC) o AUX del receptor. Si el receptor no tiene
entradas CD (AC) o AUX, use cualquier entrada de nivel de línea (no
fonográfica).
SET CUE (ESTABLECER UN PUNTO DE REFERENCIA): Haga uso del
botón SET CUE (15) para activar los BOTONES DE DIRECT
ACCESS (12) para establecer un CUE POINT (PUNTO DE
REFERENCIA). Véase la sección INSTRUCCIONES DE
REFERENCIA para mayor información.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LAS FUNCIONES
BOTONES DE DIRECT ACCESS (ACCESO DIRECTO): Haga uso de los
BOTONES DE DIRECT ACCESS (12) para seleccionar la canción a
reproducir y para establecer el PUNTO DE REFERENCIA. Véase la
sección INSTRUCCIONES DE REFERENCIA para mayor

ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY (MEMORIA ANTI-CHOQUE): Con 6
segundos de MEMORIA ANTI-CHOQUE, el reproductor CD memoriza
6 segundos de la reproducción futura para impedir que cualquier
movimiento brusco o choque sufrido por el aparato interrumpa la
reproducción y que ésta siga sin problema.
SEAMLESS LOOP: Después de haber memorizado un punto de
referencia, apretando el pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6) en LA modalidad de
reproducción, se repite la sección situada entre el punto de referencia
y el punto donde se apretó el pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6). Apriete el
pulsador CUE-B/EXIT (6) otra vez o ponga la reproducción en pausa
CONMUTADOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN: Después de asegurarse de que el
VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4), que se encuentra en el panel posterior,
está en posición correcta, conecte la unidad a la red y pulse el
CONMUTADOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN - POWER (3). La unidad se
conectará.

NOTA: Si Ud usa el SET CUE (15) para cambiar un punto
de referencia (el punto de inicio del bucle) durante la
reproducción, habrá un ligero retardo la primera vez
cuando Ud reproduzca. Para evitar eso, use el FLY CUE
(5) o el CUE (10) para cambiar el punto de referencia a
partir del cual Ud quiere reproducir la música.
Y/O
BOP: El pulsador BOP (7) (Volver) tiene dos funciones. Para volver a
un loop memorizado anteriormente de la reproducción normal, apriete
el pulsador BOP (7) después de memorizar el loop. Para volver al
punto de referencia anteriormente memorizado, apriete el pulsador
BOP (7) después de establecer el punto de referencia (si no tiene
loop memorizado).
Para utilizar el botón FLY CUE (5) para establecer el punto de referencia,
siga las instrucciones siguientes:
1. Con el aparato en la modalidad de reproducción (la luz de
reproducción/pausa se enciende), apriete FLY CUE (5) en el punto
donde a Ud le gusta introducir el punto de referencia (el aparato
continúa reproduciendo). Ahora el punto de referencia está
memorizado. Apriete el pulsador BOP (7) (VOLVER) y el aparato
empezará a reproducir inmediatamente desde el punto de referencia.
O se puede apretar el pulsador CUE (10) para volver al punto de
referencia memorizado en la modalidad de pausa, y después apriete
el pulsador PLAY/PAUSE (11) para reproducir desde el punto de
referencia.
Nota: Si tiene loop memorizado, hace falta suprimir el loop
de la memoria del aparato antes de poder utilizar el
pulsador BOP (7) para volver al punto de referencia
memorizado.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: El hecho de apretar el botón
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activa la función AUTO CUE.
Esta función produce la pausa del aparato al principio de la música de
la pista siguiente y le permite empezar la reproducción
Y/O
inmediatamente desde el principio de la música sin espacio en blanco
(lo que existe al principio de cada pista). El hecho de apretar el botón
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) por segunda vez activa la
función CONTINUOUS lo que permitirá una reproducción continua
(después de la última pista, el aparato volverá a la primera pista del
disco y seguirá la reproducción). El hecho de apretar el botón
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) por tercera vez desactiva la
función CONTINUOUS.
Para utilizar el botón SET CUE (15) y los botones DIRECT ACCESS (12)
para establecer el punto de referencia, siga las instrucciones siguientes:
1. Apriete el botón SET CUE (15) (el LED set cue se encenderá). Haga
uso de los botones ACCESO DIRECTO - DIRECT ACCESS (12) para
memorizar el lugar donde Ud quiere que empiece la reproducción, o
sea el PUNTO DE REFERENCIA, seleccionando la pista correcta,
minuto, segundo y segmento. Apriete CUE (10) para establecer el
punto de referencia. Lo puede hacer en cualquier modalidad, incluso
la MODALIDAD DE REPRODUCCION, de tal forma que puede
establecer el punto de referencia de una pista mientras que se
reproduce otra. Apriete el pulsador CUE (10) otra vez para volver al
punto de referencia memorizado en la modalidad de pausa y después
apriete el pulsador PLAY/PAUSE (11) para reproducir desde el punto
de referencia. O, se puede apretar el pulsador BOP (7) (VOLVER)
para volver y reproducir inmediatamente desde el punto de referencia
memorizado (si el loop no ha sido memorizado).
TONO: Apretando el PITCH (21) (BOTÓN TONO) se activa el PITCH
CONTROL (23) (CONTROL TONO). El tono del disco compacto
cambiará según la posición del PITCH CONTROL (23).
PITCH BEND BUTTONS
(BOTONES DE AFINACIÓN DEL TONO):
Apretando los botones PITCH BEND (22) se alza el tono
automáticamente a +4% o se baja a –4% con respecto al ajuste
existente del tono. Soltando los botones, vuelve el tono a su
graduación original. Se puede utilizar esta función para igualar la
afinación del tono cuando se mezclan canciones.
CONECTOR DE SALIDA DIGITAL: La conexión de cualquier tipo de
DAT, MD, HARD DRIVE o cualquiera que acepte señales digitales
hacia el conector BNC (1) localizado en el panel posterior, le permite
recibir una señal digital del CD.
SUGERENCIA: Para evitar la confusión en el momento de
establecer los puntos de referencia, mantenga la
representación del tiempo en el modo de ELAPSED TIME
(TIEMPO TRANSCURRIDO). Cuando se usan los
pulsadores DIRECT ACCESS (acceso directo) para
establecer un punto de referencia, la pista, el minuto, el
segundo y la imagen siempre corresponden al tiempo
transcurrido. Cuando la representación de tiempo del
aparato corresponde al modo TRACK REMAIN (Tiempo
de pista remanente) o TOTAL REMAIN (Tiempo de disco
remanente), la pista, el minuto, el segundo y la imagen
corresponderán al tiempo remanente y no a la pista, al
minuto, al segundo y al segmento introducidos.
INSTRUCCIONES DE MANEJO
1. Asegúrese de que la VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4), que se encuentra en
el panel posterior, esté en la posición correcta. Conecte el cable de
alimentación y Pulse el POWER (3).
2. Pulse el botón OPEN (24), coloque un disco compacto en el DISC
TRAY (17) y cierre la puerta de la bandeja.
3. Para seleccionar la pista que quiera escuchar, Pulse los BOTONES
TRACK SKIP (8).

4. Pulse el BOTÓN DE PLAY/PAUSE (11) y la unidad comenzará a
reproducir instantáneamente.
INSTRUCCIONES DE PUNTO DE REFERENCIA
1. Para memorizar el punto donde desea que comience la reproducción,
el PUNTO DE REFERENCIA (CUE POINT), seleccione la pista
correspondiente y luego apriete el pulsador PLAY/PAUSE (11)
(REPRODUCCIÓN/PAUSA) para que la unidad entre en la modalidad
de reproducción (la luz de reproducción/pausa se encenderá). Escuche
el disco compacto y cuando llegue al sitio aproximado, apriete el

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

Si el disco no reproduce, compruebe si el disco está colocado
correctamente (cara impresa hacia arriba). Compruebe además si el
disco tiene suciedad excesiva, o esta rayado, etc.

Si el disco gira pero no se oye, compruebe las conexiones de los
cables. Si éstas están bien, compruebe el amplificador y el receptor.
Si el disco omite sonidos, compruebe si el disco tiene suciedad o esta
rayado. No dé por supuesto que el defecto está en el reproductor.
Muchos discos compactos se graban fuera de especificaciones y no
funcionan en muchos o todos los reproductores. Antes de enviar la
unidad a ser reparada, pruebe un disco que funcione correctamente.

Gemini. Cet appareil très moderne est couvert par une garantie de trois
ans, à l’exclusion de la tête de lecture (optique laser). Cette seule pièce
étant garantie durant un. Avant tout utilisation, veuillez lire attentivement
toutes les instructions de fonctionnement.
DISC TRAY (TIROIR DE CHARGEMENT): Le tiroir de chargement -
DISC TRAY (17) permet de placer le CD dans l’appareil. Le fait
d’appuyer sur la touche OPEN (24) ouvrira le tiroir de chargement.
OPEN BUTTON (TOUCHE D’OUVERTURE): Appuyez sur la touche
OPEN (24) pour ouvrir le DISC TRAY (17) (tiroir de chargement).
PRÉCAUTIONS
DISPLAY (AFFICHAGE): L’écran DISPLAY (13) indique le numéro de
plage, la valeur du réglage de vitesse, le mode single-auto cue (point
d’insertion unique-auto), continue (mode lecture ininterrompue) et 3
affichages de temps différents. Ces affichages sont les suivants:
temps de plage écoulé (ELAPSED), temps de disque restant (TOTAL
REMAIN), temps de plage restant (REMAIN). Le temps est mesuré en
minutes, secondes et trames.
1. N’utilisez pas ce lecteur de CD là où la température descend en-
dessous de 41° F/5° C ou dépasse 95°F/35°C.
2. Cet appareil ne devrait pas être exposé aux égouttements ou aux
éclaboussures et aucun objet rempli de liquide, p.e. vases, ne devrait
être placé sur l’appareil.

PLAYBACK DISPLAY (AFFICHAGE PLAYBACK): La fonction PLAY-

CERTIFICATIONS DE SÉCURITÉ

réglages de précision en mode PAUSE. Utilisez la JOG WHEEL (16)

précise en mode PLAY (lecture).

CHOIX DE LA TENSION DU SECTEUR
Le modèle CDJ-30 est un appareil à double tension. Il fonctionne en 115
ou 230 volts. Pour régler la tension appropriée, suivez les étapes ci-
après:
CUE: L'appareil étant en mode lecture (la DEL lecture/pause s'allume) et
après avoir établi le point de repère (cue), le fait d'appuyer sur la
touche CUE (10) (touche de repère) fera entrer le lecteur CD en mode
pause (la DEL lecture/pause clignote) au point de repère mémorisé (la
DEL du point de repère jaune s'allume). Le fait de tenir le doigt sur la
touche Cue change la fonction Cue en PREVIEW ce qui vous
permettra d'écouter la musique à partir du point de repère. La
libération de la touche Cue vous renvoie au point Cue préalablement
enregistré.
1. Placez la tête d’un tournevis au centre du VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4)
qui se trouve sur le panneau arrière.
2. Glissez l’interrupteur à gauche sur 115 volts ou poussez-le à droite sur
230 volts.
3. Ne forcez pas ou ne tordez pas le sélecteur de tension. Une force
excessive pourrait endommager l’appareil. Si l’interrupteur ne se
déplace pas facilement, prenez contact avec un technicien compétent.
FLY CUE: La fonction FLY CUE (5) vous permet d’introduire des points
de repère en un clin d’oeil en appuyant sur une touche. L’appareil
étant en mode lecture (la DEL lecture/pause s'allume), appuyez sur la
touche FLY CUE (5) au point où vous voulez introduire le point de
repère (l’appareil continuera à jouer). Maintenant, le point de repère
est mémorisé. Voir la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de
plus amples informations.
CONNEXIONS
1. Connectez un jeu de cordon RCA à la sortie LINE OUTPUT (2).
2. Reliez l’extrémité de ce cordon à n’importe quelle entrée ligne,
équipée de connecteurs RCA, de votre console de mixage. Si vous
utilisez le CDJ-30 par l’intermédiaire d’un ampli/tuner, vous pouvez
connecter le CDJ-30 à l’entrée CD ou AUX de votre ampli/tuner. S’il
n’y a pas d’entrées CD ou AUX, utilisez n’importe quelle entrée de
niveau ligne (l’entrée phono n’accepte pas les sources de niveau
ligne).
SET CUE: Utilisez la touche SET CUE (15) pour activer les DIRECT
ACCESS (12) (touches d’accès direct) pour établir un CUE POINT
(point de référence). Voir la section CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour
de plus amples informations.
DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS (BOUTONS D’ACCÈS DIRECT): Utilisez
les touches DIRECT ACCESS (12) pour sélectionner la plage à lire et
régler un CUE POINT (point de référence). Voir la section
DESCRIPTIONS DES FONCTIONS
CONSIGNES D’INSERTION pour de plus amples informations.
ANTI-SHOCK BUFFER MEMORY (MÉMOIRE DE PROTECTION
ELECTRONIQUE ANTICHOC): Avec 6 secondes de DE PROTEC-
TION ELECTRONIQUE ANTICHOC, le lecteur CD mémorise 6
secondes de lecture future afin de prévenir toute interruption de
lecture due à un choc ou à un mouvement brusque.
SEAMLESS LOOP: Après la mémorisation d’un point de repère, le fait
d’appuyer sur la touche CUE-B/EXIT (6) en mode lecture permet de
fermer la boucle que vous avez sélectionné et répète
automatiquement ce passage. Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche

CUE-B/EXIT (6) ou mettez la lecture sur pause pour sortir (EXIT) de
la lecture répétée de la boucle. Indiquez un nouveau point de repère

la lecture immédiatement à partir de ce point (si la boucle n’a pas été
mémorisée).
REMARQUE: Si vous utilisez la touche SET CUE (15)
pour changer le point de repère (le point initial de la
boucle) pendant la reproduction, il y aura un léger
retard la première fois que vous reproduisez la boucle.
Évitez ceci en employant le FLY CUE (5) ou le CUE
(10) pour changer le point de repère à partir duquel
vous voulez commencer.
BOP: La touche BOP (7) (RETOUR) a deux fonctions. Pour revenir à la
boucle mémorisée antérieurement de la lecture normale, appuyez sur
la touche BOP (7) après avoir mémorisé la boucle. Pour revenir au
point de repère précédemment mémorisé et pour commencer la
lecture immédiate à partir de ce point, appuyez sur la touche BOP (7)
après avoir établi le point de repère (si aucune boucle n’est
mémorisée).
ET/OU
Pour utiliser FLY CUE (5) afin d’introduire le point de repère, suivez les
instructions ci-après:
1. L’appareil étant en mode lecture (la DEL lecture/pause s’allume),
appuyez sur la touche FLY CUE (5) au point où vous voulez introduire
le point de repère (l’appareil continuera à jouer). Maintenant, le point
de repère est mémorisé. Appuyez sur la touche BOP (7) (RETOUR)
et l’appareil commencera la lecture immédiatement à partir du point de
repère. Ou vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche CUE (10) pour revenir
au point de repère mémorisé dans le mode pause, puis, appuyez sur
la touche PLAY/PAUSE (11) pour commencer la lecture
Nota: Si une boucle est mémorisée, vous devez d’abord
supprimer la boucle de la mémoire de l’appareil avant de
pouvoir utiliser la touche BOP (7) pour revenir au point
de repère mémorisé.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activera la fonction AUTO CUE.
Cette fonction provoque l’arrêt automatique de la lecture à l’issue de
chaque plage lue. L’appareil se met automatiquement en mode pause
et se cale au début de la plage suivante en évitant les blancs car ce
dernier se cale à la première note. Le fait d’appuyer une seconde fois
sur la touche SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) activera la
fonction CONTINUOUS (EN CONTINU) ce qui fera jouer l’appareil
sans interruption entre chaque plage (après lecture de la dernière
plage, l’appareil retournera à la première plage du disque et
continuera la lecture). Le fait d’appuyer une troisième fois sur la
touche SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) désactive la fonction
CONTINUOUS.

opération y compris en mode PLAY; ainsi vous pouvez mémoriser un
point de repère tout en continuant la lecture d’une plage. Appuyez de
nouveau sur la touche CUE (10) pour revenir au point de repère
mémorisé dans le mode pause, puis, appuyez sur la touche PLAY/
PAUSE (11) pour commencer la lecture à partir du point de repère. Ou
vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche BOP (7) (RETOUR) pour revenir
au point de repère mémorisé et pour commencer la lecture
immédiatement à partir de ce point (si la boucle n’a pas été
mémorisée).
PITCH (réglage de vitesse): Le fait d’appuyer sur la touche PITCH (21)
active le PITCH CONTROL (23) (COMMANDE DE REGLAGE DE
VITESSE). Le son du CD changera en fonction de la position du
PITCH CONTROL (23).
PITCH BEND BUTTONS
(COURBURE DU SON): Le fait d’appuyer
sur les PITCH BEND (22) (touches de rattrapage) accélérera
automatique la vitesse de lecture de + 4% ou la réduira
automatiquement de - 4% par rapport au réglage existant. Le fait de
relâcher les touches permet de retrouver instantanément le réglage de
base. Vous pouvez utiliser cette fonction pour caler la vitesse de
lecture lorsque vous mixez des morceaux différents.
SUGGESTION: Pour éviter toute confusion lorsque vous
enregistrez vos points de repère (Points Cue), gardez
l’affichage du temps dans le mode TEMPS ÉCOULÉ.
Lorsque vous utilisez les touches DIRECT ACCESS
(Accès direct) pour établir un point de repère (Point
Cue), la plage, la minute, la seconde et la trame
appartiennent toujours au temps écoulé. Si l’affichage
du temps est en mode TRACK REMAIN (Temps restant
sur la plage) ou en mode TOTAL REMAIN (Temps total
restant sur le disque), la plage, la minute, la seconde et
la trame affichées correspondront au temps restant sur
la plage en cours de lecture et non pas aux indications
(plage, minute, seconde et trame) que vous avez
indiquées afin de mémoriser votre point de repère (Point
Cue).
CONNECTEUR DE SORTIE NUMÉRIQUE: L’appareil est équipé de
connecteurs BNC (1) situés en face arrière, permettant d’y connecter
DAT, MD, Disque Dur (HD) ou tout autre support acceptant des
signaux numériques en provenance des CDs lus par l’appareil.
CONSIGNES D’EXPLOITATION
1. Assurez-vous que le VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) (sélecteur de tension
à glissière) qui se trouve sur le panneau arrière, est mis sur la tension
appropriée. Branchez l’appareil et appuyez sur le POWER (3)
(interrupteur général).
2. Appuyez sur l’ OPEN (24) (touche d’ouverture), placez un CD sur le
DISC TRAY (17) (tiroir de chargement) et fermez la porte du tiroir.

l’appareil en mode pause à l’endroit ou se situe le point de repère
(Point Cue) mémorisé (la DEL du point de repère s’allume et la DEL

SEARCH (9) pour effectuer un calage très précis (au 1/75ème de
seconde) jusqu’à l’endroit où vous souhaitez débuter la lecture (la
DEL de repère clignotera durant la recherche). Appuyez sur le bouton
PLAY/PAUSE (11) pour mémoriser ce nouveau point de repère.
3. Appuyez sur les TRACK SKIP (8) (boutons de saut de piste) pour
choisir la piste que vous désirez entendre.
4. Appuyez sur le PLAY/PAUSE (11) (bouton lecture/pause) et l’appareil
jouera instantanément.
CONSIGNES D’INSERTION
1. Pour mémoriser l’endroit à partir duquel vous souhaitez commencer la
lecture, le POINT DE REPÈRE, choisissez la plage correcte, et
appuyez ensuite sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE (11) (lecture/pause) de

DÉPANNAGE

Si l’appareil n’arrive pas à lire un disque, vérifiez si ce dernier a été
chargé correctement dans le tiroir de lecture (côté écrit vers le haut).
Contrôlez aussi le disque pour s’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de saletés
excessives, de rayures, etc..

Si le disque tourne mais qu’il n’y a pas de son, vérifiez les connexions
du câble. Si celles-ci sont bien faites, contrôlez votre amplificateur ou
votre récepteur.
Si le CD tourne mais que la lecture ne commence pas, vérifiez que le
CD est exempt de poussières et/ou rayures. Ne mettez pas en cause
le lecteur de CD avant d’avoir effectuer ces vérifications. De nombreux
disques CD sont enregistrés selon des normes incompatibles et ils
sauteront sur la plupart ou sur tous lecteurs de CD. Avant d’envoyer
l’appareil pour réparation, faites un essai avec un CD dont vous êtes
certain de la qualité d’enregisrement et de gravure.

DISPLAY: Il DISPLAY (13) mostra il numero della pista, il valore pitch

precisa in modalità PLAY.
7. Non usare solventi chimici per pulire il lettore di CD.
8. Tenere il pickup laser pulito ed il vassoio chiuso.
9. Tenere questo manuale in un posto sicuro per futuri riferimenti.
STOP
: Il STOP (18) fermerà la lettura del CD.
CERTIFICAZIONI DI SICUREZZA
TIME: Il TIME (20) cambia la visualizzazione del tempo da uno dei tre
tempi disponibili all’altro dei tre elencate sotto DISPLAY.
Con proprietà di diodi laser

Potenza laser: onda continua (massima 0,5 mW)
TASTO CUE: Quando il lettore è nella modalità di riproduzione (il LED
PLAY/PAUSE si illumina), e dopo che si è memorizzato il punto di
partenza, quando si preme il tasto CUE (10), il lettore passa alla
modalità Pausa (il LED PLAY/PAUSE lampeggia) in corrispondenza
del punto di partenza memorizzato (il LED giallo CUE si illumina).
Tenendo premuto il tasto CUE si passa alla funzione Anteprima
(PREVIEW), che permette di riprodurre il brano dal punto di partenza
(CUE). Rilasciando il tasto CUE si riporta il lettore al punto di partenza
prefissato.
SELEZIONE DEL VOLTAGGIO
Il modello CDJ-30 è un apparecchio con doppio voltaggio. Funziona a 115
o 230 volts. Per impostare il voltaggio corretto seguire i seguenti punti:
1. Mettere la punta di un cacciavite al centro del VOLTAGE SELECTOR
(4) che si trova sul pannello posteriore.
FLY CUE: La funzione FLY CUE (5) permette d’impostare prontamente
punti cue (di partenza) premendo un tasto. Quando il lettore è nella
modalità di riproduzione (il LED PLAY/PAUSE si illumina), premere
FLY CUE (5) nel punto scelto per posizionare il punto di partenza (il
apparato continua la riproduzione). Ora, il punto di partenza si ha
memorizzato. Per ulteriori informazioni far riferimento a ISTRUZIONI
PER FISSARE I PUNTI DI PARTENZA.
2. Far scorrere l’interruttore a sinistra per impostarlo su 115 volts o sulla
destra per impostarlo su 230 volts.
3. Non forzare o ruotare l’interruttore. Una pressione eccessiva potrà
danneggiare l’apparecchio. Se l’interruttore si sposta con difficoltà,
rivolgersi a personale qualificato.
IMPOSTA CUE (SET CUE): Usare il pulsante SET CUE (15) per attivare
i PULSANTI DIRECT ACCESS (12) e regolare un CUE POINT. Per
ulteriori informazioni far riferimento a ISTRUZIONE CUE.
COLLEGAMENTI
1. Inserite un’estremità dei cavi RCA in ogni dei LINE OUTPUT (2).
PULSANTI ACCESSO DIRETTO (DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS): Usare
i PULSANTE ACCESSO DIRETTO - DIRECT ACCESS (12) per
selezionare quale brano riprodurre e per regolare un CUE POINT. Per
ulteriori informazioni far riferimento a ISTRUZIONI PER FISSARE I
PUNTI DI PARTENZA.
2. Inserite l’altra estremità dei cavi RCA in qualsiasi jack di entrata di
livello linea che é a disposizione sul vostro mixer. Se state ascoltando
il CDJ-30 tramite un ricevitore, potete inserite i cavi RCA dentro i jack
di entrata CD o AUX che si trovano sul vostro ricevitore. Se i jack di
entrata CD o AUX non ci sono, usate i jack di entrata di livello linea
(non quelli fono).
SEAMLESS LOOP: Premendo il CUE-B/EXIT (6) dopo che un punto di
partenza é stato memorizzato e durante la lettura si ripeterà la parte
tra il punto di partenza e il punto dove il CUE-B/EXIT (6) é stato
premuto. Premete il pulsante CUE-B/EXIT (6) di nuovo o mettete la
lettura in posizione pausa per uscire (EXIT) della lettura ripetuta.
Stabilite un nuovo punto di partenza da fuori dal loop per eliminare il
loop della memoria dal apparato.
DESCRIZIONI DELLE FUNZIONI
MEMORIA TEMPORANEA ANTISBALZO: ha una capacità di 6 secondi.
Mentre il lettore riproduce un brano, a ogni istante ne memorizza i 6
secondi successivi, per prevenire interruzioni della riproduzione o salti
causati da eventuali spostamenti improvvisi.
Nota: se si usa SET CUE (15) per modificare il punto del
segnale d’azione (il punto iniziale del circuito) durante
una riproduzione, la prima volta che la si esegue vi sarà
un leggero ritardo. Per evitarlo, cambiare il punto del
segnale d’azione iniziale usando FLY CUE (5) o CUE
(10).
POWER SWITCH: Dopo che siete sicuri che il VOLTAGE SELECTOR
(4), che si trova sul pannello posteriore, é fissato bene, inserite la
spina del lettore CD e premete il POWER (3). Il lettore CD si
accenderá.
CASSETTO DEL DISCO (DISC TRAY): Il CASSETTO DEL DISCO -
DISC TRAY (17) è dove si inserisce il disco. Premendo il pulsante
OPEN (24) si aprirà il cassetto del disco.
BOP: Il tasto BOP (7) (RITORNO) ha due funzioni: Per ritornare al loop
precedentemente memorizzato della normale riproduzione, premete il
tasto BOP (7) dopo avere memorizzato il loop. Per ritornare al punto di

partenza precedentemente memorizzato ed per cominciare subito la
riproduzione dal punto di partenza, premete il tasto BOP (7) dopo
avere stabilito il punto di partenza (senza loop memorizzato).

Per usare il tasto FLY CUE (5) per impostare un punto cue (di partenza),
seguire queste istruzioni:
Nota: Nel caso di loop memorizzato, primo si deve
eliminare il loop della memoria dal apparato prima di
potere usare il tasto BOP (7) per raggiungere il punto di
partenza memorizzato.
1. Quando il lettore è nella modalità di riproduzione (il LED PLAY/PAUSE
si illumina), premere FLY CUE (5) nel punto scelto per posizionare il
punto di partenza (il apparato continua la riproduzione). Ora, il punto
di partenza si ha memorizzato. Premere il tasto BOP (7) per iniziare
subito la riproduzione dal punto di partenza memorizzato. Oppure, si
puó premere il tasto CUE (10) per ritornare al punto di partenza
memorizzato nella modalità pausa; poi, premete il tasto PLAY/PAUSE
(11) per iniziare la riproduzione dal punto di partenza.
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUOUS: Premendo il tasto SINGLE-AUTO
CUE/CONTINUE (19), si attiverà la funzione AUTO CUE che fa si che
l’unità si fermi all’inizio della pista seguente. Questo permette di
iniziare la lettura immediatamente dall’inizio della musica senza
nessuna pausa (che esiste all’inizio di ogni pista). Premendo il tasto
SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) una seconda volta, si attiverà la
funzione CONTINUOUS che fa si che l’unità continue la riproduzione
in modo continuo (dopo l’ultima pista, il lettore retornerà alla prima
pista del disco e si riprende la riproduzione in modo continuo).
Premendo il tasto SINGLE-AUTO CUE/CONTINUE (19) una terza
volta, si desattiva la funzione CONTINUOUS.
E/O
Par usare il PULSANTE SET CUE (15) e i PULSANTI DIRECT ACCESS
(12) per impostare un cue point, seguire queste istruzioni:
1. Premete il PULSANTE SET CUE (15) (il LED si illuminerà). Usate i
PULSANTI DIRECT ACCESS (12) per memorizzare il punto da cui si
desidera che inizi la riproduzione, dal CUE POINT, selezionando il
brano corretto, il minuto, secondo e frame del brano. Premete
CUE 12 per impostare il cue (punto di partenza). E’ possibile fare
questa operazione in qualsiasi condizione, anche con il MODO PLAY,
cosi che è possibile avere il cue di un brano mentre si riproduce un
brano. Premete il tasto CUE (10) di nuovo per ritornare al punto di
partenza memorizzato nella modalità pausa; poi, premete il tasto
PLAY/PAUSE (11) per cominciare la riproduzione dal punto di
partenza. Oppure, premete il tasto BOP (7) per ritornare al punto di
partenza memorizzato e per cominciare subito la riproduzione dal
punto di partenza (se il circuito/loop non si ha memorizzato).
PITCH: Premendo il PITCH (21) farà attivare il PITCH CONTROL (23). Il
tono del CD cambierà in accordo con la posizione del PITCH
CONTROL (23).
PULSANTI CURVA PICCO
(PITCH BEND BUTTONS): Premendo i
PITCH BEND (22) si alzerà automaticamente il picco di +4% o si
abbasserà automaticamente di - 4% in riferimento a la posizione
esistente del picco. Rilasciando i pulsanti si ritornerà al picco con la
sua impostazione originale. E’ possibile usare questa funzione per
pareggiare la curva del picco quand si miscela una canzone con
un’altra.
JACK D’USCITA DIGITALE: Se si collega qualsiasi tipo di DAT, MD,
HARD DRIVE, o altri componenti similari che accettano i segnali
digitali nel connettore BNC (1) posto sul pannello posteriore è
possibile registrare un segnale digitale dal CD.
SUGGERIMENTO: Per evitare la confusione per regolare i
punti cue (punto di partenza/riferimento), guardare il
tempo nel modo ELAPSED TIME (tempo trascorso).
Quando si usa i pulsanti DIRECT ACCESS (ACCESSO
DIRETTO) per regolare un punto cue (di riferimento), la
pista, il minuto, il secondo e il frame sempre sono
manifestati nel tempo trascorso. Quando il indicatore
del tempo stà nel modo TRACK REMAIN (tempo che
rimane sulla pista) o TOTAL REMAIN (tempo totale che
rimane sul dischetto), la pista, il minuto, il secondo o il
frame indicato(a) manifestarà il tempo che rimane mà
non la pista, il minuto, il secondo e frame entrato(a).
ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO
1. Assicuratevi che il VOLTAGE SELECTOR (4) che si trova sul pannello
posteriore é fissato per il voltaggio appropriato. Inserite la spina del
lettore CD e premete il POWER (3). Il lettore CD si accenderá. Se
premete una seconda volta il lettore CD si spegnerà.
2. Premere il pulsante OPEN (24), inserire un Compact Disc nel
CASSETTO DEL DISCO - DISC TRAY (17) e chiudere il cassetto del
disco.
2. Per fissare meglio il punto di partenza, mettete il lettore CD in pausa
nel punto di partenza memorizzato (il DEL del punto di partenza si
illumina ed il DEL Play/Pause lampeggia), poi usate il JOG WHEEL
(16) o i SEARCH (9) per spostare il punto di partenza un cuadro alla
volta (1/75esimo di un secondo) fino al posto desiderato (il LED del
punto di partenza lampeggia mentre si esplora). Premete il PLAY/
PAUSE (11) per memorizzare il nuovo punto di partenza.
3. Premete i TRACK SKIP (8) per scegliere la pista che volete ascoltare.
4. Premete il PLAY/PAUSE (11) e il lettore CD comincerà subito a
suonare.
ISTRUZIONI PER FISSARE I PUNTI DI
PARTENZA
Nota: Durante la regolazione della sintonia, si presenta un
effetto di “balbuzie” (per ritrovare la battuta della
musica). Questo effetto finirà cuando si preme il PLAY/
PAUSE (11) per memorizzare il punto di partenza. Anche,
durante la regolazione della sintonia, tenendo il dito
negli SEARCH (9), il lettore esplorarà rapidamente dopo
10 cuadri.
1. Per memorizzare il punto di partenza desiderato, il PUNTO DI
PARTENZA, selezionare il brano e quindi premere il tasto PLAY/
PAUSE (11) per portare il lettore nella modalità di riproduzione (il LED
PLAY/PAUSE si illumina). Ascoltare il brano; quando il lettore ha quasi
raggiunto il punto di partenza, premere il tasto PLAY/PAUSE (11) per
portarlo nella modalità Pausa (il LED PLAY/PAUSE lampeggia). Girare
la manopola JOG WHEEL (16) fino a raggiungere l’esatto punto di
partenza o servirsi di SEARCH (9) per ritrovare l’esatto punto di
partenza della riproduzione e memorizzarlo premendo il tasto PLAY/
PAUSE (11). Per ritornare al punto di partenza memorizzato nella
modalità Pausa, premere il tasto CUE (10); poi, premere il tasto
PLAY/PAUSE (11) per iniziare la riproduzione dal punto di partenza
(CUE). Oppure, premete il tasto BOP (7) per ritornare al punto di
partenza memorizzato, e per cominciare subito la riproduzione dal
punto di partenza (se il circuito/loop non si ha memorizzato).

LOCALIZZAZIONE ED ELIMINAZIONE DI UN

Se il dischetto non suona, controllate se il CD dischetto é stato
caricato correttamente (con la parte scritta superiormente). Anche
controllate se il dischetto ha polvere eccessiva, graffi, ecc.

Se il dischetto gira ma non suona, controllate i collegamenti. Se sono
buoni, controllate il vostro amplificatore o ricevitore.
Se il CD salta, controllate se il CD ha polvere o graffi. Non assumete
che il lettore CD é difettato. Molti CD non sono perfettamente registrati
e saltano sulla maggior parte o tutti i lettori CD. Prima di portare il
lettore CD per manutenzione, provate a suonare un CD che siete
sicuri che si legga bene.
