INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the A/V Scaler Pro. Your complete
satisfaction is very important to us.
Gefen
Gefen delivers innovative, progressive computer and electronics add-on solutions
that harness integration, extension, distribution and conversion technologies.
Gefen’s reliable, plug-and-play products supplement cross-platform computer
systems, professional audio/video environments and HDTV systems of all sizes
with hard-working solutions that are easy to implement and simple to operate.
The Gefen A/V Scaler Pro
The A/V Scaler Pro offers a plug and play solution for upscaling and switching
between multiple analog and digital audio/video formats. Video is delivered in the
HDMI format at 1080p full HD resolution.
The A/V Scaler Pro works with all of today’s audio/video sources including set-top
boxes, DVD players and gaming consoles including the Xbox 360 and PS3.
It is designed to offer a simple, high quality method of integrating multiple
A/V components and delivering 1080p full HD with supplemental audio for an
engaging HDTV experience.
It supports one component source with analog audio, one composite or s-video
source with analog audio, one DVI source with analog audio and two HDMI
sources with digital audio. The audio from the analog sources is digitized in the
HDMI format.
The DVI-I input with analog audio enables direct PC connections, supporting
both VGA and DVI formats that can be used for analog or digital graphics card
input. With support for analog stereo audio, the unit supports all multimedia
applications. On-screen menus accessible through the IR remote allow for an
easy system setup and image adjustment to accommodate different viewing
modes and screen sizes. Discrete codes have been added to the IR to enable
complete control over switching. An RS232 control port is included so each input
can be separately accessed, if desired.
The A/V Scaler Pro is rack mountable, tting in all standard racks, making it
suitable for professional installations with rack ears or as a stand-alone solution.
All connection ports are located on the backside for easy accessibility.
How It Works
Connect all audio and video source devices to the A/V Scaler Pro. Connect your
HDMI display to the output on the rear of the unit. Power on the unit and use
the included IR remote to navigate the GUI and change settings. All scaling and
analog to digital format conversions are done automatically for superior audio
and video output.
