Introduction
Before Operating Your Unit
Make sure the wiring is adequate for your unit.
If you have fuses, they should be of the time delay type. Before you install or relocate this unit, be sure that
the amperage rating of the circuit breaker or time delay fuse does not exceed the amp rating listed in figure 1.
DO NOT use an extension cord.
The cord provided will carry the proper amount of electrical power to the unit; an extension cord will not.
Make sure that the receptacle is compatible with the wall plug provided.
This insures proper grounding. If you have a two-prong receptacle you will need to have the circuit replaced
by a certified electrician with a grounded circuit that meets all national and local codes and ordinances. You
must use the three-prong plug furnished with the air conditioner.

For the Best Cooling Performance and Energy Efficiency
Keep the filter clean
Make sure that your air conditioner is always in top performing condition by cleaning the filter regularly.
Instructions for removing and cleaning the filter can be found on page 7.
Provide good airflow
Make sure that the airflow to and from the unit is unobstructed. Your air conditioner puts the air out on the
right side of the unit, and takes in air on the left side. Airflow is critical for good operation. It is just as
important on the outside of the building that the airflow around the unit exterior is not blocked.
Unit Placement
If your air conditioner can be placed in a window or a wall that is shaded by a tree or another building, the
unit will operate even more efficiently. Using drapes or blinds on the sunny side of the dwelling will also
add to your unit's efficiency.
Insulation
Good insulation will be a big help in maintaining desirable comfort levels. Doors should have weather
stripping. Be sure to caulk around doors and windows.

How to Operate Your ZStar Room Air Conditioner
The controls will look like the following.

CAUTION
When the air conditioner has finished cooling the room and is turned off or set to the
fan position, wait at least 3 minutes before resetting to the cooling operation again.
• FOR NORMAL COOLING
1. Turn the Mode switch to the High, Med, or Low Cool setting.
2. Set the Temperature control to the desired temperature point (the mid-point is a
good starting position). If the room temperature is not satisfactory after a
reasonable time, adjust the control to a cooler or warmer setting, as appropriate.
• FOR MAXIMUM COOLING
1. Turn the Mode switch to the High Cool setting.
2. Set the temperature control to the coolest temperature point (all the way to the
right).
• FOR QUIETER OPERATION
1. Turn the Mode switch to the Low Cool setting.
2. Set the Temperature control as needed.
• EnergySaver Switch
This rocker switch can be depressed to either YES or NO. In the yes position, you will
get the most economical operation. Both the fan and the compressor will cycle on and
off together, maintaining the selected temperature at a more constant level and
reducing the humidity more efficiently. This control will only operate when the unit is in
a cooling mode. In the NO position, the fan will run constantly as long as the unit is in
the cooling mode.

How to Operate Your ZStar Room Air Conditioner
Additional controls and important information.
Vent Control
The vent control is located above the
control knobs.
When set at CLOSE, only the air inside the
room will be circulated and conditioned.
When set at OPEN, inside air is exhausted

To open the vent, pull the lever toward you.
To close it, push it in.
Air Direction
The direction of air can be controlled
horizontally or vertically by using the
horizontal louver or vertical louver.
Horizontal Air-Direction
The horizontal air direction is adjusted by
moving the inside louvers to the left or
right.
Vertical Air-Direction
The vertical (up or down) air direction is
adjusted by applying pressure to the bank
of the horizontal louvers.

Care and Maintenance
Grille and Case
Turn the air conditioner off and remove the plug
from the wall outlet before cleaning.
To clean, use water and a mild detergent. Do not
use bleach or abrasives.
Outdoor Coils
The coils on the outdoor side of the air conditioner should be
checked regularly. If they are clogged with dirt or soot they may be
professionally steam cleaned, a service available through a dealer.
Air Filter
The air filter behind the front grille should be checked and
cleaned at least once every 2 weeks or more often if
necessary.
• To Remove the Filter
1. Remove the front cover by gripping the top outside edges
and pulling toward you.
You will notice that the grille will only open to about a 56°
angle. Do not force the grille open too far.
2. Find the two clips that hold the filter in place.
Gently lift the filter out.
• To Clean the Filter
1. Clean with warm water. Be sure to shake all water off
before replacing the filter.
2. Carefully position the filter, bottom first, and snap the
grille back into place.
CAUTION: DO NOT operate the air conditioner without a filter
because dirt and lint will clog it and reduce
performance.
Drainage
In humid weather, excess water may cause the
BASE PAN to overflow. To drain the water,
remove the DRAIN CAP and secure the DRAIN
PIPE to the rear hole of the BASE PAN.

Do not under any circumstances, cut or remove
the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
Do not change the plug on the power cord of
this air conditioner.

Aluminum house wiring may present special
problems–consult a qualified electrician.
Important notes:
It is recommended that proper attire be worn
during installation.
For personal safety, this air conditioner must
be properly grounded.
It is important to have the wall outlet and circuit
checked by a qualified electrician if there is any
doubt as to whether a proper ground exists.

Step 1. To prevent vibration and noise, make sure
the unit is installed securely and firmly

Storm Window Requirements
A storm window frame will not allow the air
conditioner to tilt toward the outside and will
keep it from draining properly. To adjust for this,

Preparing the Unit for Installation
Shipping screws
■ Remove the 2 shipping screws from the back
of the case.
■ Remove the 2 screws on each side of the
case. Keep these for later use.
■ Slide the air conditioner from the case by
gripping the base pan handle and pulling
forward while bracing the case.
Before Installation...
■ Cut the window sash seal to the proper
length. Peel off the backing and attach the
seal to the underside of the window sash.
■ Insert the frames for the frame curtains into
the top mounting rail and the frame guides.

case using 4 type A screws

Step 1. Open the window and mark the
centerline of the window stool (or desired
air conditioner location).

Install the Air Conditioner in the Case
Step 1. Slide the air conditioner into the case.
Reinstall the 2 screws removed earlier on
each side of the case.
Step 3. Attach the front grille to the case by
inserting the tabs on the grille into the
slots on the front of the case. Push the
grille in until it snaps into place.

Step 2. Before installing the front grille, pull out
the vent control lever located above the
unit control knobs, as shown.
Step 4. Lift the inlet grille and secure the front
grille with a Type A screw. Lower the
inlet grille into place.
To Reverse the Grille Opening
The Friedrich ZQ08 and ZQ10 have a reversible grille. The grille is
designed to open from both the top and the bottom.
To reverse the grille opening, you must follow the following steps:
Step 1. Pull the entire grille of the front of the unit and locate the hinges
that hold the grille in place on the inside of the grille.
Step 2. Insert the tip of a flat screwdriver in between one of the hinges and
the ball shaped bearing of the grille.

Step 3. Very carefully pull the bearing out of the socket of the hinge and
repeat steps 1-3 for the remaining hinge and socket.
Step 4. Locate the top hinges on the grille.
Step 5. Turn the grille upside down. Using flat screwdriver, create an
opening on the top hinge and insert the ball shaped bearing to
snap the grille in place. Repeat the same steps on the remaining
hinge.

Normal Operation
• You may hear a pinging noise caused by water being picked up and thrown against the condenser
on rainy days or when the humidity is high. This design feature helps remove moisture and improve
efficiency.
• You may hear the thermostat click when the compressor cycles on and off.
• Water will collect in the base pan during high humidity or on rainy days. The water may overflow
and drip from the outdoor side of the unit.
• The fan may run even when the compressor does not.
• Your air conditioner is designed to cool in warm weather when the outside temperature is above
60°F(16°C) and below 115°F(46°C).

FIRST YEAR
ANY PART: If any part supplied by FRIEDRICH fails because of a defect in workmanship or material within twelve months from date of
original purchase, FRIEDRICH will repair the product at no charge, provided room air conditioner is reasonably accessible for service.
Any additional labor cost for removing inaccessible units and/or charges for mileage related to travel by a Service Agency that exceeds
25 miles one way will be the responsibility of the owner. This remedy is expressly agreed to be the exclusive remedy within twelve
months from the date of the original purchase.
SECOND THROUGH FIFTH YEAR
SEALED REFRIGERANT SYSTEM: If the sealed refrigeration system (defined for this purpose as the compressor, condenser coil,
evaporator coil, reversing valve, check valve, capillary, filter drier, and all interconnecting tubing) supplied by FRIEDRICH in your Room
Air Conditioner fails because of a defect in workmanship or material within sixty months from date of purchase, FRIEDRICH will pay a
labor allowance and parts necessary to repair the Sealed Refrigeration System; PROVIDED FRIEDRICH will not pay the cost of diagnosis
of the problem, removal, freight charges and transportation of the air conditioner to and from the Service Agency, and the reinstallation
charges associated with repair of the Sealed Refrigeration System. All such cost will be the sole responsibility of the owner. This remedy
is expressly agreed to be the exclusive remedy within sixty months from the date of the original purchase.
APPLICABILITY AND LIMITATIONS: This warranty is applicable only to units retained within the Fifty States of the U.S.A., District of

Avant d'utiliser votre appareil
Assurez-vous que votre câblage électrique est conforme aux normes de

N'UTILISEZ JAMAIS un fil de rallonge.
Contrairement au cordon d'alimentation fourni avec l'appareil, le fil de rallonge n'acheminera pas le courant

Afin de maintenir le rendement de votre climatiseur à son meilleur niveau, nettoyez régulièrement le filtre.

Veillez à la présence d'une circulation d'air appropriée.
S'assure que le airflow à et de l'unité est encombré. Votre climatiseur met l'air hors sur le bon côté de
l'unité, et reçoit l'air sur le côté gauche. Airflow est critique pour de bon opération. C'est tout comme
important sur l'hors du bâtiment que le airflow vers l'unité extérieure n'est pas bloqué.
Emplacement de l'appareil
Votre climatiseur fonctionnera plus efficacement si vous l'installez dans une fenêtre ou dans un mur
situé à l'ombre d'un arbre ou d'un autre immeuble. L'utilisation de rideaux ou stores du côté ensoleillé de
l'immeuble améliorera également le rendement de l'appareil.
Isolation
Une bonne isolation permettra de maintenir le niveau de confort souhaité. Les portes devraient comporter
un calfeutrage adéquat. Veillez à bien calfeutrer le périmètre des portes et fenêtres.

fan position, wait at least 3 minutes before resetting to the cooling operation again.

POUR UN REFROIDISSEMENT NORMAL
1. Tournez le bouton des fonctions Operation à la position de reroidissement élevé High Cool ou de
refroidissement faible Low Cool.
2. Réglez le Thermostat à la température désiré (la position du milieu est un bon point de départ). Si la
température ambiante n'est pas satifaisante aprés un certain temps, ajustez la position á un degré plus
froid ou plus chaud, au besoin.

1. Tournez le bouton des fonctions Operation á la position de refrodissement élevé High Cool.

Commandes suppléntaires et renseignements importants.
La Ventilation
Le levier de ventilation doit être en position FERMÉE
(“CLOSE”) afin de conserver les meilleures conditions
de refroidissement. Lorsque vous avez besoin d'air frais
dans la pièce, réglez le levier à la position OUVERTE
(“OPEN”). Le registre est ouvert et l'air ambiant est
expulsé à l'extérieur.

Soins et entretien
Grille et caisse
Eteignez le climatiseur et enlevez la fiche de la
prise de courant avant de le nettoyer.
Pour le nettoyer, utilisez de l’eau et un détergent
léger. N’utilisez pas d’eau de Javel ou de
produits abrasifs.
Echangeurs extérieurs
Les échangeurs à l’extérieur du climatiseur doivent être régulièrement
contrôlés. S’ils sont obstrués par de la saleté ou de la suie, ils doivent être
nettoyés à la vapeur de manière professionnelle, un service disponible auprès
de votre revendeur.
Nettoyage de filtre à air
Le filtre à air derrière la grille frontale doit être
contrôlé et nettoyé au moins toutes les 2 semaines
ou plus souvent si nécessaire.
POUR L'ENLEVER
1. Ouvrez la grille vers le haut en soulevant le bas de
la grille ou vers le bas en tirant le haut de la grille.
2. En utilisant la languette, soulevez délicatement le
filtre et tirez-le vers le haut ou vers le bas.
3. Nettoyez le filtre avec de l’eau chaude et
savonneuse à moins.
4. Rincez et essuyez délicatement le filtre et
laissez-le sécher avant de le remettre en place.
ATTENTION: Ne faites pas fonctionner le
conditionneur d’air sans un filtre parce
que la saleté l’obstruerait et réduirait
ses performances.
Comment Utiliser le Tuyau d’évacuation
En temp humide, l'eau peut causer le debordement du
BAC DE BASE.
Pour évacuer l'eau, enlevez le couvercle
d'évacuation et fixez le tuyau d'évacuation á l'orifice
arriére du BAC DE LA BASE.

Quitils Requis pour l’installation
Vis en bateau
■ Retirez les vis qui retiennent le boîtier sur les deux
côtés et par en arrière.
■ Glissez l'appareil en-dehors du boîtier en agrippant
la poignée du plateau de la base et en le tirant
vers l'avant, tout en le tenant solidement.
■ Decoupez la bande scellante du rebord de la
fenêtre à la longueur appropriée.
Décollez l'endos et attachez la bande de mousse
de type PE sous le rebord de la fenêtre.
Avant l'Installation..
■ Couper le cachet de sash de fenêtre à la
longueur propre. Pele le soutien et
attache le cachet au dessous du sash de
fenêtre.
■ Insérer les cadres pour les rideaux de
cadre dans le sommet monter barre et
les guides de cadre. Attacher les rideaux
de cadre au côté du cas en utilisant 4
tapent UNE vis

Installation du Boîtier
1. Ouvrez la fenêtre. Faites une marque au
centre du rebord de la fenêtre(ou là où vous voulez
installer l'appareil).

Installez le climatiseur dans la caisse
Étape 1 : Glisser le climatiseur dans le boit.
Réinstaller les 2 vis enlevées plus tôt
sur chaque côté du cas.
Étape 3 : Unissez la grille avant à la caisse en
insérant les languettes de la grille dans
les ouvertures placées à l’avant de la
caisse. Poussez la grille jusqu’à ce
qu’elle s’enclenche en position.

Avant de placer un appel de service...
Quelques conseils pour vous dépunner:
Epargnez temps et argent! Révisez le tableau
ci-dessous et vous éviterez peut-être un appel de
service coûteux.

Fonctionnement normal
• Il se peut que vous entendiez un cliquettement causé par l'eau qui est soulevée et projetée contre
le condensateur lors des jours de pluie ou lorsque le taux d'humidité est élevé. Cette caractéristque
sert à réduire I'humidité et améliorer l'efficacité de I'appareil.
• Il se peut que vous entendiez le thermostat émettre des déclics lorsque le compresseur se met
en/hors fonction.
• L'eau s'accumulera dans le bac du fond lors des jours très humides ou des jours de pluie. L'eau
peut déborder et s'égoutter à l'extérieur de l'appareil.
• Le ventilateur peut fonctionner même si le compresseur est inactif.

• Assurez-vous de bien enfoncer la fiche du climatiseur dans

• S'il y a eu panne de courant, tournez la commande des
modes á la position hors circuit OFF. Après avoir ramené
le courant, attendez 3 minutes avant de repartir le
climatiseur, ce qui empêchera de déclencher la surcharge
du compresseur.
■ En cas de panne de courant
• Assurez-vous d'éloigner tout rideau, store ou meuble
pouvant obstruer l'avant du climatiseur.
■ Il y a blocage de la circulation
d'air.
• Tournez le bouton de réglage à un numéro plus élevé. Le
chiffre le plus élevé procure un refroidissement maximum.
■ Le réglage du thermostat n'est
peut-être pas suffisamment élevé.
• Nettoyez régulièrement le filtre (au moins à toutes les
deux semaines). Consultez la section des instructions de
fonctionnement à ce sujet.
■ Le filtte à air est sale.
Le climatiseur ne
refroidit pas de
manière efficace.
• Lorsque vous mettez le climatiseur en marche pour la
première fois, vous devez lui laisser suffisamment de
temps pour refroidir la pièce.
■ Il se peut que la pièce air été
excessivement chaude avant de

• Vérifiez si les registres du système de chauffage au
plancher et les retours d'air froid sont fermés.
■ Il y a de l'air froid qui s'échappe.
• Réglez les bouches d'aération du climatiseur à la position

Introducción
Antes de poner en funcionamiento su unidad
Asegúrese que el tipo de cable sea el adecuado a su unidad.
Si tiene fusibles, deben ser del tipo de tiempo retardado. Antes de instalar o reubicar esta unidad, asegúrese
que el nivel de amperaje del disyuntor o del fusible de tiempo retardado no exceda el amperaje que figura en
la figura 1.
NO use cables de extensión.
El cable provisto llevará la cantidad adecuada de electricidad a la unidad, un cable de extensión puede no
hacerlo.
Asegúrese que el receptáculo es compatible con el enchufe provisto.
Este asegura la connexion a masa correcta. Si tiene un receptáculo de dos clavijas, necesitará reemplazarlo
por un receptáculo de tres clavijas que cumpla con todos los códigos de las diferentes naciones y las
ordenanzas. Debe usar el enchufe de tres clavijas con el acondicionador de aire.

Para un mejor rendimiento del enfriador y eficiencia energética
Mantenga limpio el filtro
Asegúrese que su acondicionador de aire esté en su condición óptica de rendimiento limpiando
regularmente el filtro.
Las instrucciones para quitar y limpiar el filtro pueden encontrarse en la página 7.
Provee buen flujo de aire
Cerciórese que la corriente de aire y de la unidad es obstruido. La fluencia del aire debe pasarse fuera
del lado correcto(el lado izquierdo) El corriente del aire es crítico para una operación buena. Asi es muy
importante como el exterior del edificio para que no se bloquea el corriente de aire.
Ubicación de la unidad
Si su acondicionador de aire puede ser ubicado en una ventana o una pared que tenga sombra ya sea de
árboles o de otro edificio, la unidad operará más eficientemente. El uso de cortinas o persianas del lado
donde da el sol de la vivienda, también ayudará a la eficiencia de la unidad.
Aislación
Una buena aislación será de gran ayuda para mantener los niveles de comodidad deseables. Las puertas
deberán tener protecciones contra el clima. Asegúrese de enmasillar alrededor de las puertas y las
ventanas.

When the air conditioner has finished cooling the room and is turned off or set to the
fan position, wait at least 3 minutes before resetting to the cooling operation again.
• PARA UN ENFRIAMIENTO NORMAL
1. Ponga el botón de Operation en la marca más grande, en High Cool.
2. Ajuste el control del Termostat en la marca deseada (usualmente el punto medio es un buen punto para
comenzar). Si la temperatura del cuarto no es satifactoria después de un período de tiempo razonable,
ajuste el control de temperatura a una marca más grande (para una temperatura interna más fría) o a una
marca más pequeña (para que la temperatura interna sea menos fría).
• PARA UN ENFRIAMIENTO MAXIMO
1. Ponga el botón de Operation en la marca más grande.
2. Ponga el control de la temperatura al punto más fresco de la temperatura(completamente a la derecha)

APAGUE EL AIRE ACONDICIONADO Y SAQUE EL ENCHUFE DEL TOMA CORRIENTE DE LA PARED

Rejilla y Alojamiento
Apague el aire acondicionado y remueva el
enchufe de la toma de la pared antes de la
limpieza.
Para limpiar, use agua y un detergente
suave. No use blanqueadores o abrasivo
Bobinas Externas
Las bobinas en el lado externo del aire acondicionado debe
ser revisado regularmente. Si están obstruídos con suciedad
o hollín deben ser limpiado a vapor profesionalmente, un
servicio disponible por medio de un consesionario.
Limpieza de filtro de Aire
El filtro de aire detrás de la rejilla frontal debe ser
revisado y limpiado por lo menos una vez por cada
dos semanas o más frecuentemente si es necesario.
PARA REMOVER:
1. Abra la rejilla hacia arriba tirando la parte inferior
de la rejilla o hacia abajo tirando la parte superior
de la rejilla.
2. Usando una lengüeta, tire el filtro ligeramente hacia
arriba para sacarlo por abajo o arriba.
3. Limpie el filtro con agua tibia y jabonosa.
4. Enjuague y sacuda el filtro suavemente bajo la
corriente de agua y déjelo secar antes de
reponerlo.
PRECAUCION: NO OPERE el aire acondicionado sin
filtro ya que la suciedad y el tamo
obstruirá el filtro y reducirá la
eficiencia del funcionamiento.
Como Installar el Tubo de Desagüe
En climas húmedos, es posible que la BANDEJA
EVAPORADORA se llene de agua.
Para quitar el agua acumulado, es preciso conectar el tubo de
desagüe.
Quite la TAPA DEL DESAGÜE y conecte el TUBO a la
BANDEJA EVAPORADORA.

Instrucciones para la instalación
Instalación del Gabinete
Paso 1.: Deslice el aire acondicionado al aéreo en este
caso. Vuelva a instalar con los 2 tornillos
quitados antes de instalarse.
Paso 3 : Adjunte la rejilla delantera al alojamiento
insertando las lengüeta en la rejilla
dentro las ranuras en la parte delantera
del alojamiento. Empuje la rejilla adentro
hasta que encaje dentro del lugar.

Paso 2.: Antes de instalar la rejilla delantera,
tire la palanca de control del
respiradero ubicado sobre los mandos
de control de la unidad, como lo
ilustrado.
Paso 4.: Levante la rejilla de entrada y asegure
la rejilla delantera con el tornillo Tipo A.
Baje la rejilla de entrada dentro de su
lugar.
Para Reversar la Apertura de la Rejilla
El Friedrich ZQ08, ZQ10 tiene una rejilla reversible. La rejilla está diseñada
para abrir desde el tope como desde el fondo.
Para reversar la apertura de la rejilla, debe seguir los siguientes pasos:
Paso 1. Tire la rejilla entera de la parte delantera de la unidad y coloque las
bisagras que soporta la rejilla en el lugar sobre el interior de la rejilla
Paso 2. Inserte la punta de un destornillador plano entre uno de las bisagras y
el cojinete de bola de la rejilla

Paso 3. Muy cuidadosamente tire hacia afuera el cojinete del zócalo de la
bisagra y repita los pasos 1-3 para las bisagras y zócalos restantes.
Paso 4. Coloque la bisagra superior en la rejilla
Paso 5. Gire la la parte superior de la rejilla hacia abajo.
Usando el destornillador plano, crea una apertura en la bisagra
superior e inserte el cojinete de bola al retener la rejilla en el lugar.
Repita los mismos pasos para la bisagra restante.

Tips para solucionar problemas

necesite llamar para solicitar servicio técnico.
Operación normal
• Durar te dias lluviosos o cuando la humedad es alta usted puede escuchar un ruido metállco causa
do por agua recogida y arrojada contra el condensador. Esta caracteristica ayuda a remover la
humedad y mejorar la eficiencia.
• Usted puede escuchar que el termostato hace un click cuando se enciende o apaga el ciclo del
comp esor.
• Durar te dias lluviosos o cuando la humedad es alta el agua será recolectada on la base del
aparato. Esta agua podrá fluir y será eliminada por el lado externo de la unidad.
• El ventilador podrá correr aún cuando el compresor no esté encendido.

aparato(OFF). Cuando la energía se reestablezca,
espere 3 minutos para encender de nuevo el aire
acondicionado. Con esto evitará que se produzca una
sobrecarga en el compresor.

restringido.
• Asegúrese que no haya cortinas, persianas o muebles
bloqueando el frente del aire acondicionado.
■ Se ha elegido una
temperatura mas caliente de
lo deseada.
• Elija una temperatura mas fria. Entre mâs baja sea la
temperatura elegida mas fria sera la zona
acondicionada.
■ El filtro de aire está sucio.
• Limpie el filtro por lo menos cada dos semanas. Vea la
sección de instrucciones de operación.

AIRE ACONDICIONADO FRIEDRICH
GARANTIA LIMITADA -PRIMER AÑO
TODAS LAS PARTES: Si cualquiera de las partes suministradas por FRIEDRICH no funciona debido a un defecto de manufactura o del
material dentro de los 12 meses siguientes a la fecha original de compra, FRIEDRICH reparará el producto sin costo alguno, siempre y
cuando que la unidad esté razonablemente accesible para el servicio. Todo costo adicional ocasionado por remover unidades inaccesibles
y/o costos por millaje relacionados con el viaje de servico, los cuales excedan und distancia de 25 millas (una vía), correrán por cuenta del
propietario. Esta solución es la soluciión única convenida dentro de los 12 mesas seguientes de la vecha onginal de compra.
GARANTIA LIMITADA -DEL SEGUNDO AL QUINTO AÑO
SISTEMA REFRIGERANTE SELLADO: Si el sistema refrigerante sellado (definido para este propósito como el compresor, condensador,
serpentín, serpentín de evaporación,válvula de reversa, válvula de control, capilar,secador de filtro y tubería de interconexión) suministrado
por FRIEDRICH con su unidad de aire acondicionado falla, debido a un defecto de manufactura o del material, dentro de los 60 meses
siguientes a la fecha original de compra, FRIEDRICH pagará una asignación para mano de obra y las partes necessarias para arreglar el
sistema refrigerante sellado. el sistema refrigerante sellado. Sin embargo, FRIEDRICH no pagará el costo del diagnóstico del problema, el
retiro y transporte de la unidad hacia/de la agencia de servicio, ni los gastos de reinstalación asociados con la reparación del sistema
refrigerante sellado. Todos esos costos correrán por cuenta del propietario. Esta solución es la solución única convenida dentro de los 60
mesas siguientes a la fecha original de compra.
APLICABILIDAD Y LIMITACIONES: Esta garantía es aplicable únicamente a unidades que permanezcan dentro del territorio de los 50
Estados Unidos de América, el Distrito de Columbia y Canadá. Esta garantía no es aplicable a:
1. Filtros de aire o fusibles.
2. Productos en los cuales se hayan retirado las especificaciones de los modelos y los números de serie.
3. Productos que sufran defectos o daños resultantes de instalación o tendido eléctrico incorrectos,características de la corriente
eléctrica o mal mantenimiento. Daños causados por accidentes, mal uso o abuso, incendio, inundación, alteraciones y mala apli-
cación del producto y/o unidades que se hayan instalado en una atmósfera corrosiva, problemas causados por guerra, restricciones
gubernamentales, paros, carencia de materiales que vaya más allá del control de FRIEDRICH, o actos de la naturaleza.
PARA OBTENER CUMPLIMIENTO DE LA GARANTIA: El servicio será prestado por el concesionario/representante autorizado de
FRIEDRICH o la organización de servicio afiliada en su área. Estos están listados en las Páginas Amarillas. Si requiere ayuda para
