proper function of your new scale.

Before use  
Your scale is equipped with one easy to use all feature operating  
button. This button is located on the front of the scale, just below the  
display. With this button, you control all features; On, Off, Tare and  
Weighing Mode (g / kg / lb oz / oz).

How to weigh:  
1) Turn the scale on. All display segments will appear for  
approximately 2 seconds before resetting to zero.  
2) Your scale will keep the last used weighing mode in memory, and  
will return automatically to this mode when you turn the scale on.  
3) Place item slowly on the platform.  
How to use the “Tare” feature:  
This feature allows the display to be reset to zero after you weigh an  
item in the bowl. It shows the weight of additional items as if you were  
to weigh them separately.  
1) Turn the scale on with the bowl on the platform.  
2) Put an item in the bowl. The display will show its weight.  
3) Press the Operating button again. Wait 2 seconds, the weight of  
the bowl with item will be removed and the display will reset to “0.0”.  
4) Slowly add another item to the bowl. The display will show the  
weight of the new item only.  
5) Repeat step 3 and 4 when adding more items to the bowl.  
How to clear the “Tare” feature:  
1) Remove all items from the platform.

2) Weighing platform  
2) Press the Operating button once. Wait 2 seconds.  
Now the scale is reset to “0.0” and the weight of all items on the  
platform will be displayed.

Turning off your scale:  
Additional Information  
1) Make sure your scale is at room temperature and on a stable  
horizontal surface free of vibration.  
Your scale will automatically turn of after 2 minutes of non-use. You  
can also manually turn of the scale by holding the Operating button  
down for approximately 3 seconds.  
2) This scale is not waterproof. Do not expose to moisture.  
3) As this scale is a precision instrument, it must be handled with  
extreme care. Avoid rough treatment, shaking and vibration.  
4) Do not disassemble this scale or the warranty will be void.  
5) The display value may be affected by electromagnetic  
disturbances such as operating near a radio. If this occurs, move the  
device that is causing the disturbance and turn the scale off and  
restart.  
Changing the Weighing Mode:  
Your scale can weigh in grams, ounces, Pounds/Ounces or  
Kilograms/grams. The factory default is set to grams. You can simply  
change the weighing mode before you operate the scale.  
1) Turn the scale on.  
2) Immediately press the Operating button once, or multiple times,  
until the desired weighing mode is displayed.  
3) Your scale will keep the last used weighing mode in memory, and  
will return automatically to this mode when you turn the scale on.  
Battery Replacement/Installation:  
Replace the batteries when the LCD display reads “LO”.  
1) Remove the battery door.  
2) Install two new 3-volt lithium batteries.  
3) Replace the battery door.  
Do not place overweight items on the scale  
Weighing items over the maximum weight capacity will cause an  
overload “O-L.d” error to display. Immediately remove overweight  
items to avoid causing damage to your scale.
