BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before making toast for the first time, set the browning control to MAX.

HOW TO USE YOUR TOASTER
1.Position the toaster on a firm, level,heat resistant surface, clear of

Toasting bread
1.Place bread centrally into the toasting slots.(Max.thickness of bread

if you are toasting one or two slices, you must use the left pair of toasting

As this toaster is fitted with an electronic timer control, the bread carriage handle
will not lock down unless the toaster is connected to the electricity supply.

may be raised further, to allow the toasted bagels, crumpets, etc. to be

This feature takes the guesswork out of toasting frozen bread.

Frozen bread
This feature takes the guesswork out of toasting frozen bread.
Leave the browning control at your favourite setting, put the frozen bread into
the toasting slots, lower the bread carriage handle, then press the FROZEN
button. The FROZEN light will come on, and will stay on until toasting is
complete.
The toasting time will be altered automatically to give the same degree of
browning you get with unfrozen bread.
The FROZEN button affects all four slots. You cannot toast unfrozen bread and
frozen bread at the same time.
HINTS AND TIPS
When toasting more than one slice of bread, use slices of similar size,
thickness and freshness.
old or thin bread will cook faster than fresh or thick bread, so use a lower setting.
Do not use torn, curled up, or misshapen slices of bread as these may jam the
ejection mechanism and could catch fire.
Sweet bread products(tea cakes, fruit loaf, etc.)brown much more quickly
than ordinary bread, so should be toasted on the lighter settings
CARE AND CLEANING
Unplug the toaster and let it cool down fully before attempting any cleaning
operation
Wipe the outside surfaces with a soft damp cloth.if necessary, use a little
washing-up liquid.
Do not allow anything to enter the slots, as this might damage the elements.
Do not immerse the toaster in water or any other liquid.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
Crumbs
Crumbs will collect in the base of the toaster, letting them build up is
unhygienic, and could cause a fire hazard, so remove them frequently.
Unplug the toaster, let it cool down fully, then lift the rear of the toaster and
pull out the crumb trays, Empty them, wipe with a clean damp cloth,then dry
thoroughly, before sliding them back into the base of the toaster.

Antes de usar
Retire la tostadora de los empaques con cuidado. Si desea guarde los

Precauciones
1.Asegúrese de que el cordón no entre en contacto con objetos o superficies
calientes.
2. Tenga sumo cuidado al utilizar la tostadora en la presencia de niños.
3. Deje que la tostadora enfríe totalmente antes de proceder a guardarla.
4. Asegúrese de encajar adecuadamente el pan dentro de las ranuras antes
de activar la tostadora. Si se usa pan grueso, o que no sea uniforme, esto
podría atascar la tostadora.
5. NUNCA intente retirar el pan si éste se ha atascado dentro de las ranuras
sin primeramente desconectar la tostadora de la electricidad. Déjela enfriar
completamente antes de retirar el pan atascado.
6. Tenga cuidado de no dañar el mecanismo interno a la hora de retirar el
pan.
7. Las partes internas de la tostadora pueden dañarse fácilmente. No toque
las partes internas de la tostadora con ningún utensilio.
Nota importante:
Cuando se enchufa y se utiliza la tostadora por primera vez, puede producirse
un ligero olor a quemado conforme los componentes o resistencias de la
tostadora se calientan. Esto no representa ningún tipo de peligro para el
usuario y no es una indicación de que el aparato tenga algún desperfecto.
Cuando se use la tostadora por primera vez, deje que el aparato se caliente
totalmente hasta que el olor desaparezca.
Se recomienda utilizar la tostadora por primera vez sin colocar pan en las
ranuras.
1. Conecte la tostadora a la electricidad y enciéndala.
2. Coloque el control de tostado en el menor nivel (1).
3. Baje la palanca y deje que los componentes o resistencias de la tostadora
se calienten.
4. Permita que los componentes o resistencias de la tostadora se calienten
hasta que desaparezca el olor a quemado.
5. Presiona el botón CANCEL (cancelar) para soltar la palanca.

Instrucciones del cableado (en el Reino Unido)
Los alambres del cordón vienen de los siguientes colores:
Azul = Neutral Marrón = Línea Viva
Tierra
Verde o Verde y Amarillo =
El alambre azul debe de conectarse al terminal en que viene marcado con
la letra N o de color negro.
El alambre marrón debe de conectarse al terminal que viene marcado con
la letra L o de color rojo.
El alambre verde (o verde y amarillo) debe de conectarse al terminal que
viene marcado con la letra E o de color verde (o verde y amarillo).
Cómo utilizar la tostadora
1. Asegúrese de que la tostadora se encuentre conectada a la electricidad
y que se le haya encendido.
2. Coloque una o dos rebanadas de pan dentro de las ranuras de tostado
y baje la palanca hasta que quede asegurada.
3. La tostadora comenzará a calentarse automáticamente y el proceso de
tostado se iniciará.
4. Regule el control de tostado para alcanzar el nivel o color de tostado
deseado.
5. Para detener el proceso de tostado, presione el botón CANCEL
(cancelar) en cualquier momento.
6. Levante la palanca para verificar el estado del pan durante el proceso
de tostado.
7. Cuando el tostado finalice, la palanca se levantará o saltará
automáticamente. Ahora podrá retirarse las tostadas sin peligro alguno.
8. Si el pan no ha quedado suficientemente tostado, puede colocársele de
nuevo dentro de la tostadora para tostarlo un poco más.
9. Regule el control de tostado colocando en el menor nivel y coloque
el pan. Asegúrese de que el pan no vaya a quemarse al momento de

retostarlo.
Control de tostado (color del tostado)
El control de tostado permite regular el tiempo de tostado el cual cuenta
con niveles del 1 al 6.

* 1 - 2 para un tostado ligero
* 3 - 4 para un tostado medio
* 5 - 6 para un tostado más oscuro
Función Recalentar
La tostadora puede usarse para recalentar una tostada si ésta se ha enfriado
demasiado rápido.
• Coloque la tostada dentro de la tostadora.
• Coloque el control de tostado en el menor nivel.
• Baje la palanca.
• Presione el botón REHEAT (recalentar). La luz indicadora de recalentamiento se
iluminará. Asegúrese de que la tostada no vaya a quemarse.
• La palanca se levantará o saltará automáticamente cuando la tostada haya
quedado recalentada.
Función Descongelar
Si es necesario la tostadora puede usarse para descongelar pan congelado antes
de proceder a tostarlo.
• Coloque el pan dentro de la tostadora.
• Coloque el control de tostado a nivel deseado.
• Baje la palanca.
• Presione el botón descongelar. La luz indicadora del descongelado se iluminará.
Asegúrese de que la tostada no vaya a quemarse.
Función Cancelar
• Presione el botón CANCEL (cancelar) si el pan comenzara a echar humo.
• Puede presionarse el botón CANCEL (cancelar) en cualquier momento durante el
proceso de tostado.
Cuidado y Mantenimiento
Limpieza
1. Desconecte la tostadora y déjela enfriar totalmente antes de proceder a limpiar.
2. Limpie las superficies de la tostadora solamente con un paño suave y húmedo.
3. No permita que se acumulen migas o restos de pan dentro de la tostadora.
4. Para retirar las migas o restos del pan, saque la bandeja para migas que se
encuentra en el inferior de la tostadora. Límpiela con un paño húmedo.
5. Las partes internas pueden dañarse fácilmente. No toque las partes internas de
la tostadora con ningún utensilio.
