ABOUT BUSHNELL® EQUINOX Z™ DIGITAL NIGHT VISION
Congratulations on the purchase of your Bushnell® Equinox Z™ Digital Night Vision. Comprised of high quality electronics and optics,
the Bushnell Equinox Z is a hand-held digital night vision viewing system that utilizes an infrared sensitive CMOS sensor, providing
edge-to-edge resolution and outstanding image quality. Fully multi-coated optics increase light transmission and decrease glare.
The Equinox Z 4.5x40 and 6x50 Digital Night Vision monoculars are versatile enough for many applications including hunting,
camping, boating/fishing, caving, paintball, stargazing, rescue/recovery, security surveillance, law enforcement, and video recording
in continuously changing light conditions – from dawn to absolute darkness. Not only can you view your subject at night, you can
also record its image as a still photo or video clip, and store it on micro SD card. The 4.5x40 and 6x50 Equinox Z Digital Night Vision
units also include a video output port (G) (user switchable to NTSC or PAL standard), which allows connection to video or computer
equipment for recording or "live" monitoring. A built-in accessory mounting rail (N) enables the user to attach a more powerful IR
illuminator or other compatible accessories.
HOW DIGITAL NIGHT VISION WORKS
Bushnell Digital Night Vision products collect existing light through the objective lens. The image is then processed through a digital
CMOS sensor module and transferred to the micro liquid crystal display (LCD). Images viewed on the LCD are magnified 4.5 or 6 times
(depending on model). Equinox Z Digital Night Vision models are equipped with a built-in powerful IR (infrared) illuminator (D) that
enables clear viewing in low ambient light conditions or even total darkness.

CONTROLS /FUNCTIONS
POWER BUTTON (A)
The Power button (Power icon) turns the unit on or off.

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the unit ON
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the unit OFF
DIGITAL ZOOM BUTTONS (B)
The “+” and “-” buttons adjust the digital zoom power, with a range of 1.0x to 3.0x.
The displayed numbers represent a multiplication factor over the fixed optical magnification of the unit (4.5x or 6x,
depending on model).
Maximum effective magnification = 3.0 x 4.5 (13.5x) for the 4.5x40 model, and 3.0 x 6.0 (18x) for the 6x50 model.

Pressing and releasing the “+” button will gradually “zoom in” to the subject in view, by 0.1x increments
Pressing and holding the “+” button will rapidly zoom in, until the maximum 3.0x magnification factor is reached
Pressing and releasing the “-” button will gradually “zoom out” from the subject in view, by 0.1x increments
Pressing and holding the “-” button will rapidly zoom out, until the digital zoom returns to the starting point of 1.0x (no digital
zoom applied, view represents the original 4.5x or 6x optical magnification)
IR BUTTON (C)
The“IR”button turns on/off the Infrared LED illumination (D) for low light operation, and is also used to reduce its brightness
if necessary.

Press and release the “IR” button to turn on the infrared LED light (D) when ambient light levels are too low to provide good
viewing quality. The IR illumination will be at “100%” level when first turned on, and the display will indicate “IR3”(6x model) or
“IR2”(4.5x model). The 6x50 model has 3 IR brightness settings, the 4.5x40 model has 2 IR brightness settings.
•
Press the “IR” button a second time to reduce the IR LED brightness level when viewing subjects at close range to avoid glare
or “washout” of the image. The display will indicate “IR2”(6x model) or “IR1”(4.5x model). Press “IR” again if necessary on the 6x
model, to reduce the IR LED brightness to its lowest setting, indicated by “IR1” in the display.

Press the “IR” button again to switch off the IR LED light. “IR0” will be shown at the lower center of the display. Switching off the
IR LED when ambient light levels are adequate for viewing without it (full moon, near streetlights, etc.) will extend battery life
and running time. Press the “IR” button once again to switch to DAY Mode-no IR value will be indicated.
IMAGE BRIGHTNESS BUTTON (E)
The Image Brightness (Sun Icon) button can be used to change the digital imaging frame rate, producing a brighter image
for viewing or recording.
•
Pressing the Brightness (Sun icon) button repeatedly will cycle through the available frame rates, beginning with the default
frame rate (fastest), until the last (slowest, brightest) frame rate is reached. After that, the next press of the button returns back to
the original fastest rate. The default, fastest frame rate in Night Mode is 25fps. Pressing the Brightness button cycles through the
other frame rate settings, with the third press returning to the default again: 25fps>15fps>8fps>25fps>etc.
•
In Day Mode, the default frame rate is 30fps. The frame rate cannot be changed in Day Mode, therefore the Brightness button will
have no effect. The display is a color LCD, and images will appear in color in daytime use, or in strong artificial lighting conditions.
NOTE: selecting frame rates lower than the default 25fps in Night Mode will provide a brighter image, however the decreased frame
rate may cause moving subjects to appear less smooth or stable when viewed.
RECORD BUTTON (F)
The Record button is used to capture still photos or videos of the image being viewed, dependent on the setting of the Photo/
Video switch. The photos and/or videos are stored on a (user supplied) micro SD card, with up to 32GB capacity. The unit has
no internal memory.
•
When the unit is in Photo Mode, pressing the record button will take a single photo of the displayed image, standard .jpg format,
at a resolution of 640x480 pixels.
•
When the unit is in Video Mode, pressing the record button will start a new video recording. The Record icon in the display will
begin flashing, and the Video Time display will increase as the recording continues. Video is captured in .avi format at a resolution
of 640x480 pixels per frame (VGA).
•
To stop recording in Video Mode, press the Record button again.

PHOTO/VIDEO SWITCH (J)
The Photo/Video slide switch under the Interface cover flap determines whether still photos or videos are captured when
using Record.

Set the switch to the “Photo” position to select still photo recording mode when the Record button is pressed .
Set the switch to the “Video” position to select video recording mode when the Record button is pressed .
MICRO SD CARD SLOT (I): a micro SD card (user supplied, up to 32GB maximum) must be inserted before it is possible to use the
Record function. If a card is not inserted, the message “No Card” will be seen on the display when the unit is turned on.
USB PORT (H): connect a USB cable between this port and a PC/Mac to download photos/videos without removing the card. The
Equinox Z is USB mass storage compliant.
VIDEO OUTPUT (“TV OUT”) JACK (G): the “live”image as seen on the unit’s display is output here. Connect the included video cable
(1/8” to RCA) between this jack and a video monitor or recorder to remotely view or record the image from the night vision unit.
SETUP AND BASIC OPERATION
1) LoaD BattErIES
Turn the battery compartment cover (K) in a counter-clockwise direction to remove it, and insert 4 AA batteries as indicated inside
the battery compartment. Lithium AA batteries are recommended for maximum running time, but alkaline or rechargeable NiMh AAs
may be used as well. DO NOT MIX BATTERY TYPES, OR NEW AND OLD BATTERIES. Remove the batteries if the unit will be stored for a
month or longer between uses.
2) rEMoVE LENS coVEr, aDJuSt DISpLaY (EYEpIEcE) FocuS For Your VISIoN
Press the Power button (A) to turn on the unit. A battery level icon is displayed at the top right corner of the screen. While looking
through the eyepiece (M) at the LCD display screen, rotate the eyepiece (eyecup) until the display icons or edges of the display screen
appear sharp to your eye. Remove the lens cover from the front of the objective lens (K). Note: since the Equinox Z uses digital night
vision technology (not analog “Gen 1”, etc.), the unit cannot be damaged by exposure to normal indoor or outdoor light levels-however, you
should avoid pointing it directly at the sun or other very bright light sources to avoid overloading the sensor.

3) turN oN Ir LIGHt (IF NEEDED), aDJuSt oBJEctIVE LENS FocuS For SuBJEct DIStaNcE
If the image is too dark to easily view (in most building interiors, and outdoors when away from artificial lighting), press the IR button
(C) to turn on the Infrared LED light. If the image is too bright after turning on the IR light (when viewing at close range), press the IR
button again to reduce the IR light level. If the image is still too dark after turning on the IR light, try pressing the Image Brightness
button (E) once or twice to lower the frame rate of the digital sensor. If the image is not sharp, rotate the objective lens barrel (L) to
change the focus until the subject appears sharp. Do not re-adjust the Display (Eyepiece) Focus (as set in Step 2), unless the display
icons are unsharp.
OTHER OPERATIONS/FEATURES
•
auto poWEr oFF
If a button has not been pressed for 10 minutes, the display screen will drop to 50% brightness level. If no button is pressed
within one minute after that, the unit will power off to extend battery life. Pressing any button quickly any time before the unit
turns off will return the screen to full brightness level and reset the auto off countdown process, without changing any other
settings.
•
IcoN oVErLaY oN/oFF
The user has the option to control how the icons are displayed on the LCD screen. Normally, when any button is first pressed, ALL
icons are displayed for 5 seconds, but no change to the unit’s settings is made (the Record and IR buttons is an exception-image
capture begins immediately the first time“Record”is pressed, and the IR light turns on at the first press of“IR”). If the same button
is pressed again, the button performs its function, and the display icons remain visible for 10 seconds after the last press, before
turning off automatically. To display all icons constantly, press and hold the IR button for 3 seconds. Repeat to switch back to
auto icon overlay (only visible for 10 sec. max following the use of a button).
•
uSING tHE DIGItaL ZooM
Press the“+”button (B) to zoom in. Press the“-”button (B) to zoom out. Hold the button down to zoom in/out rapidly. The Digital
Zoom icon at the lower left corner of the display will indicate the magnification factor, from 1.0x to 3.0x (in 0.1x increments).

SELEctING paL or NtSc VIDEo output
The Video Output jack (G) is set to NTSC format (30fps TV standard in the USA, Canada, Mexico, etc.) by default. To select PAL
video output (25fps) format as used in other countries, connect the unit to your video device first, then hold both the IR
button (C) and Image Brightness (E) buttons down for 5 seconds while viewing the display through the eyepiece. When the
display changes to “PAL”, release the buttons. To switch back to NTSC video output format, hold both buttons for 5 seconds until
the display indicates“NTSC”, then release the buttons. Note: The “Auto Off” feature is disabled when using the Video Output jack.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your Bushnell Equinox Z Digital Night Vision device was designed to provide many years of reliable service. To ensure that you get the most enjoyment
out of your Digital Night Vision device, always obey the following warnings and precautions.

Keep the device away from any heating and air conditioning vents or other heating devices, direct sunlight, and moisture.
Always store the unit in its carrying case in a dry well ventilated space in temperature above +15°C (60° F). Do not store near heating devices.
Do not store in direct sunlight or high humidity conditions (higher than 70 %).

Clean the optical lens with camera lens cleaning supplies.
Clean the exterior of the device with a soft clean cloth.
Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for longer than a few weeks.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS

Avoid dropping or otherwise shocking the unit. Although designed for rugged outdoor use, this device incorporates sophisticated digital
circuitry which could be damaged in extreme cases of misuse.

Do not open the body of the device or otherwise attempt to service this device.
Never pour alcohol or any other liquids directly onto the lens surfaces.
Do not clean lenses and unit surfaces with paper based products, such as newspaper, textbook paper, etc. as it can damage the coating.
Avoid removing the eyepiece as the LCD display could become damaged.
Do not leave the device in direct sunlight or rain. The unit is water resistant, but is not designed for prolonged exposure to moisture and
cannot be submerged in water.

After the unit is operated in temperatures below zero, wait at least 3 hours at room temperature, to avoid condensation accumulating on the
internal lens surfaces and the consequent fogging caused by extreme temperature differences.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit does not turn on
1. Reinstall the batteries, making sure of the correct polarity (+/- terminals) orientation (refer to the Parts and Controls Guide page).
2. Replace all batteries.
3. Clean the battery compartment, especially the contact points.
Observed image is too bright
The ambient light level is too high, and/or the IR light is at 100% level (6x model: IR3, 4.5x model: IR2).
1. If you are using the IR light, press the IR button (C) to select a lower illumination level (6x model: IR2 or IR1, 4.5x model: IR1).
2. Turn off the unit or place the objective lens cover over the lens.
Observed image is too dark
The ambient light level is too low.
1. Press the IR button (C) to activate the Infrared Light.
2. Press the Image Brightness button (E) to select a lower frame rate from the digital sensor.
Image is blurry
1. Re-focus by adjusting the objective lens (L). Adjust the diopter setting if necessary by rotating the eyepiece (M) until the
edges of the LCD display appear sharp (see “Focusing“ in this instruction manual).
2. Check the condition of the objective lens surface and eyepiece and clean if necessary.
3. Replace the batteries.
4. In low light conditions, activate the IR illumination (C).
Image disappears or its quality is reduced
Bright light sources (e. g. street lights at night time) may cause decreased visibility or reduced contrast.
1. Turn the night vision unit away from the light source; visibility will return momentarily.

réduire la luminosité si nécessaire.

Appuyez sur le bouton « IR » puis relâchez-le pour mettre sous tension la DEL à infrarouge (D) lorsque la luminosité ambiante ne permet pas une
qualité d’affichage satisfaisante. L’éclairage infrarouge sera à « 100% » lors de la première activation, et l’affichage indiquera « IR3 » (modèle 6x) ou
« IR2 » (modèle 4.5x). Le modèle 6x50 possède 3 réglages de luminosité infrarouge ; le modèle 4.5x40 possède 2 réglages de luminosité infrarouge.

batterie et le temps de fonctionnement. Appuyer à nouveau sur le bouton “IR” pour passer en mode Jour (pas d’icône sera indiqué).
BOUTON DE LUMINOSITÉ DE L’IMAGE (E)
Le bouton de luminosité de l’image (icône soleil) peut être utilisé pour modifier le taux de rafraîchissement (cadence) de l’imagerie numérique,
produisant ainsi une image plus lumineuse pour le visionnage ou l’enregistrement.
•
Appuyer sur le bouton de luminosité (icône soleil) plusieurs fois permet de faire défiler les cadences, en commençant par la cadence par défaut (la
plus rapide), jusqu’à ce que la dernière cadence (la plus lente et la plus lumineuse) soit atteinte. Après cela, enfoncer à nouveau le bouton permet
de revenir à la cadence d’origine la plus rapide. La cadence d’images par défaut et la plus rapide en mode nuit est de 25 fps (images par seconde).
Appuyer sur le bouton de luminosité fait défiler les autres cadences d’images, avec une valeur qui redevient celle par défaut lorsque le bouton est
enfoncé pour la troisième fois : 25 fps>15 fps>8 fps>25 fps>etc.
•
En mode jour, la valeur par défaut est de 30 fps. La cadence ne peut pas être modifiée en mode jour. Par conséquent, le bouton de luminosité
n’aura aucun effet. L’affichage est en couleur LCD, et les images apparaîtront en couleur lors d’une utilisation de jour, ou dans des conditions de
forte luminosité artificielle.
REMARQUE : la sélection des cadences d’images inférieures à la valeur par défaut (25 fps) en mode nuit offre une image plus lumineuse. Cependant, la
diminution de la cadence peut donner l’impression que les sujets mobiles sont moins réguliers ou moins stables lorsqu’ils sont observés.
BOUTON D’ENREGISTREMENT (F)
Le bouton d’enregistrement est utilisé pour prendre des photos ou des vidéos de l’image visionnée, en fonction du réglage du commutateur
photo/vidéo. Les photos et/ou vidéos sont stockées sur une carte micro SD (non fournie), d’une capacité allant jusqu’à 32 Go. L’appareil n’a
pas de mémoire interne.
•
Lorsque l’appareil est en mode photo, appuyer sur le bouton d’enregistrement permet de prendre une simple photo de l’image affichée, format
JPEG standard, avec 640x480 pixels de résolution.
•
Lorsque l’appareil est en mode vidéo, appuyer sur la touche d’enregistrement permet de commencer un nouvel enregistrement vidéo. L’icône
d’enregistrement sur l’écran se mettra à clignoter, et l’affichage du temps de la vidéo augmentera à mesure que l’enregistrement se poursuit. La
vidéo est prise en format AVI à une résolution de 640x480 pixels par image (VGA).

FENTE POUR CARTE MICRO SD (I): une carte micro SD (non fournie, jusqu’à 32 Go maximum) doit être insérée avant qu’il ne soit possible d’utiliser la
fonction d’enregistrement. Si aucune carte n’est insérée, le message “No Card” sera affiché à l’écran une fois l’appareil en marche.
PORT USB (H): brancher un câble USB entre ce port et un PC/Mac pour télécharger des photos/vidéos sans retirer la carte. L’Equinox Z est adapté aux
dispositifs de stockage de masse USB.
PRISE JACK DE SORTIE VIDÉO (G): l’image “en direct” affichée sur l’écran de l’appareil est produite ici. Raccordez le câble vidéo inclus (3,5mm au RCA)
entre cette prise et un moniteur vidéo ou un enregistreur pour afficher ou enregistrer à distance l’image à partir de l’appareil de vision de nuit.
INSTALLATION ET FONCTIONNEMENT STANDARD
1) INStaLLatIoN DES pILES
Tourner le couvercle du compartiment à piles (K) dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre pour le retirer, et insérer 4 piles AA comme indiqué à
l’intérieur du compartiment à piles. Les piles AA au lithium sont recommandées pour un temps de fonctionnement maximum, mais les piles NiMH AA
rechargeables ou alcalines peuvent également être utilisées. NE PAS MÉLANGER PLUSIEURS TYPES DE PILES, OU DES PILES NEUVES AVEC DES USAGÉES.
Retirer les piles si l’appareil n’est pas utilisé pendant un mois ou plus.
2) rEtIrEr LE cacHE DE La LENtILLE, rÉGLEr La MISE au poINt DE L’aFFIcHaGE (ocuLaIrE) À VotrE VuE
Appuyer sur le bouton d’alimentation (A) pour mettre l’appareil en marche. Une icône de niveau de la batterie est affichée dans l’angle supérieur droit
de l’écran. Tout en regardant dans l’oculaire (M) à l’écran LCD, faire pivoter l’oculaire (œilleton) jusqu’à ce que les icônes affichées ou les bords de l’écran
d’affichage soient nets. Retirer le cache de la lentille de l’avant de l’objectif (K). Remarque : Comme l’Equinox Z utilise la technologie de vision nocturne
numérique (et non “Gen 1” analogique, etc.), l’appareil ne peut pas être endommagé en cas d’exposition à des niveaux normaux de luminosité dehors ou à
l’intérieur, cependant, vous devez éviter de l’orienter directement vers le soleil ou d’autres sources de lumière intense afin d’éviter une surcharge du capteur.

Si l’image est trop sombre pour regarder sans difficulté (à l’intérieur de la plupart des bâtiments, et à l’extérieur en cas d’absence de lumière artificielle),
appuyez sur le bouton IR (C) pour allumer l’éclairage à LED infrarouge. Si l’image est trop lumineuse après l’allumage de la lumière infrarouge (lors
d’une observation de près), appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton IR pour réduire le niveau de lumière infrarouge. Si l’image est toujours trop sombre après
l’allumage de la lumière infrarouge, essayez d’appuyer sur le bouton de luminosité de l’image (E) une ou deux fois pour réduire la cadence d’images du
capteur numérique. Si l’image n’est pas nette, faites pivoter l’objectif (L) pour modifier la mise au point jusqu’à ce que le sujet apparaisse nettement. Ne
pas régler à nouveau la mise au point de l’affichage (oculaire) (tel que défini dans l’étape 2), à moins que les icônes de l’écran soient floues.
AUTRES OPÉRATIONS/CARACTÉRISTIQUES

EXtINctIoN autoMatIQuE
Si aucun bouton n’a été actionné pendant 10 minutes, l’écran diminuera à 50% son niveau de luminosité. Si aucun bouton n’est enfoncé dans
la minute suivante, l’appareil s’éteindra pour prolonger la durée de vie de la batterie. Appuyer sur n’importe quel bouton rapidement avant
que l’appareil ne s’éteigne provoque à nouveau la pleine luminosité de l’écran et réinitialise le processus de compte à rebours de désactivation
automatique, sans changer les autres paramètres.
•
SupErpoSItIoN DES IcÔNES oN/oFF
L’utilisateur a la possibilité de contrôler la manière dont les icônes sont affichées sur l’écran LCD. Normalement, lorsqu’un bouton est enfoncé pour
la première fois, TOUTES les icônes s’affichent pendant 5 secondes, mais cela ne modifie aucun paramètre de l’appareil (à l’exception des boutons
Enregistrement et IR - la capture d’images commence immédiatement la première fois que le bouton “Record” (enregistrement) est enfoncé, et la
lumière IR s’allume la première fois que le bouton “IR” est enfoncé). Si le même bouton est à nouveau enfoncé, il effectue sa fonction, et les icônes
de l’écran restent visibles pendant 10 secondes après le dernier enfoncement, avant la désactivation automatique. Pour afficher toutes les icônes
en permanence, enfoncer et maintenir enfoncé le bouton IR pendant 3 secondes. Répéter l’opération pour revenir à la superposition automatique
des icônes (visible pendant seulement 10 secondes maximum en fonction de l’utilisation d’un bouton).

Appuyer sur le bouton “+” (B) pour faire un zoom avant. Appuyer sur le bouton “-” (B) pour faire un zoom arrière. Maintenir le bouton enfoncé
pour zoomer/dézoomer rapidement. L’icône du zoom numérique à l’angle inférieur gauche de l’écran indique que le facteur d’agrandissement,
de 1,0x à 3,0x (en incréments de 0,1x).

La prise de sortie vidéo (G) est au format NTSC (norme TV de 30 images par seconde aux États-Unis, au Canada, au Mexique, etc.) par défaut. Pour
passer en mode PAL (25 images par seconde), format utilisé dans les autres pays, connectez tout d’abord l’appareil à votre périphérique vidéo,
appuyez pendant cinq secondes sur le bouton IR (C) et ceux permettant de régler la luminosité (E) tout en regardant l’écran dans l’oculaire. Une
fois que l’écran est passé en mode « PAL », relâchez les boutons. Pour revenir au format NTSC, effectuez la même opération jusqu’à ce que « NTSC
» apparaisse à l’écran. Remarque : le mode « Auto Off » (arrêt automatique) est désactivé lorsque le câble de sortie vidéo est branché à l’appareil.

GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE
L’appareil ne s’allume pas
1. Replacer les piles, en s’assurant du bon sens de la polarité (bornes +/-) (se reporter à la page du Guide des différents composants et commandes).
2. Changer toutes les piles.
3. Nettoyer le compartiment à piles, en insistant sur les points de contact.
L’image observée est trop lumineuse
Le niveau de luminosité ambiante est trop élevé, et/ou la lumière IR est à 100% (modèle 6x : IR3, modèle 4.5x : IR2).
1. Si vous utilisez la lumière infrarouge, appuyez sur le bouton IR (C) pour sélectionner un niveau d’éclairage inférieur (modèle 6x : IR2 ou IR1,

Le felicitamos por haber adquirido su Visor Nocturno Digital Equinox Z™ de Bushnell®. Formado por componentes electrónicos
y ópticos de gran calidad, el Equinox Z de Bushnell es un sistema de observación portátil con visión nocturna digital que utiliza
un sensor CMOS sensible al infrarrojo para brindar resolución de lado a lado e imágenes de calidad sobresaliente. Las ópticas con
recubrimiento multicapa completo aumentan la transmisión de la luz y reducen el reflejo. Los monoculares para Visión Nocturna
Digital Equinox Z 4.5x40 y 6x50 tienen suficiente versatilidad para muchas aplicaciones como caza, acampada, pesca en bote y

BOTÓN IR (C)
El botón “IR” activa/desactiva la iluminación LED infrarroja (D) en situaciones de baja luminosidad y también se utiliza para reducir el brillo,
si es necesario.

Pulse y suelte el botón “IR” para activar la luz LED infrarroja (D) cuando la intensidad de la luz ambiental sea demasiado baja para una visualización
de buena calidad. Cuando se activa por primera vez, la iluminación IR se encontrará en el nivel “100%” y el visor indicará “IR3” (modelo 6x) o “IR2”
(modelo 4,5x). El modelo 6x50 tiene tres ajustes para brillo de IR y el modelo 4,5x40 tiene dos ajustes para brillo de IR.
Pulse el botón “IR” una segunda vez para reducir la intensidad del brillo de LED IR cuando visualiza objetos a corta distancia con el fin de evitar
reflejos o imágenes sin color. El visor indicará“IR2”(modelo 6x) o“IR1”(modelo 4,5x). Pulse“IR”otra vez si es necesario en el modelo 6x para reducir

BOTÓN BRILLO DE LA IMAGEN (E)
Puede utilizar el botón Brillo de la imagen (icono del sol) para cambiar la velocidad de cuadro de las imágenes digitales y ver o grabar imágenes
más brillantes.
•
Si pulsa varias veces el botón Brillo (icono del sol), pasará por todas las velocidades de cuadro disponibles a partir de la velocidad predeterminada
(más veloz) hasta alcanzar la última (más lenta, con más brillo). Después, si pulsa una vez más el botón, regresará a la velocidad más rápida original.
La velocidad de cuadro más rápida predeterminada en el modo Nocturno es 25 cps. Si pulsa el botón Brillo pasará a los otros ajustes de velocidad
de cuadro y si lo pulsa por tercera vez, regresará nuevamente al valor predeterminado: 25 cps>15 cps>8 cps>25 cps>etc.
En el modo Diurno, la velocidad de cuadro predeterminada es 30 cps. La velocidad de cuadro no se puede cambiar en el modo Diurno; por lo tanto,
el botón Brillo no tendrá efecto alguno. El visor es una pantalla LCD a color y las imágenes se muestran en colores de día o cuando la iluminación
artificial es potente.

NOTA: si selecciona velocidades de cuadro inferiores al valor predeterminado de 25 cps en el modo Nocturno, las imágenes serán más brillantes; sin
embargo, con la velocidad de cuadro inferior visualizará los objetos en movimiento con menos nitidez o estabilidad.
BOTÓN GRABAR (F)
El botón Grabar se utiliza para capturar fotografías estáticas o vídeos de la imagen visualizada, según la configuración del interruptor Foto/
Vídeo. Las fotografías o los vídeos se guardan en una tarjeta micro SD (provista por el usuario), con capacidad de hasta 32 GB. La unidad carece
de memoria interna.

Si pulsa el botón Grabar cuando se encuentra en el modo Foto, la unidad tomará una sola fotografía de la imagen visualizada, en formato .jpg
estándar, con una resolución de 640 x 480 pixeles.
•
Si pulsa el botón Grabar en el modo Vídeo, comenzará a procesarse una nueva grabación de vídeo. En el visor, comenzará a destellar el icono Grabar
y aumentará el valor de Tiempo de vídeo a medida que continúe la grabación. El vídeo se captura en el formato .avi con una resolución de 640 x
480 pixeles por cuadro (VGA).

En el modo Vídeo, pulse otra vez el botón Grabar para detener la grabación.

RANURA PARA TARJETA MICRO SD (I): debe colocar una tarjeta micro SD (provista por el usuario, de hasta 32 GB como máximo) antes de que sea
posible utilizar la función Grabar. Si no hay una tarjeta instalada, se mostrará en el visor el mensaje “No Card” (sin tarjeta) al encenderse la unidad.
PUERTO USB (H): conecte un cable USB entre este puerto y un ordenador PC o Mac para descargar fotografías y vídeos sin quitar la tarjeta. El equipo
Equinox Z es compatible con el almacenamiento masivo por USB.
CONECTOR DE SALIDA DE VÍDEO (G): aquí se transmite la imagen “en tiempo real”, tal como se observa en el visor de la unidad. Conecte el cable de
vídeo incluido (1/8”/3.5mm a RCA) entre este conector y un monitor o reproductor de vídeo para ver o grabar de forma remota la imagen de la unidad
de visión nocturna.
INSTALACIÓN Y FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
1) INStaLE LaS BatErÍaS
Gire la tapa del compartimento de las baterías (K) en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para abrirla e introduzca 4 baterías AA en el compartimento
de baterías, como se indica. Recomendamos utilizar baterías AA de litio para máximo tiempo de funcionamiento, pero también puede emplear baterías
AA alcalinas o de NiMh recargables. NO MEZCLE BATERÍAS DE DIFERENTES TIPOS O BATERÍAS NUEVAS Y AGOTADAS. Retire las baterías si guardará la
unidad durante un mes o más antes de utilizarla de nuevo.
2) rEtIrE La tapa DE La LENtE Y rEGuLE EL Foco DEL VISor (ocuLar) EN FuNcIÓN DE Su VISta
Pulse el botón Encendido (A) para encender la unidad. Se muestra un icono del nivel de carga de la batería en el ángulo superior derecho del visor.
Mientras observa la pantalla del visor LCD por el ocular (M) , gire el ocular (mira) hasta ver con nitidez los iconos o los bordes de la pantalla del visor. Retire
la tapa de la lente del objetivo (K). Nota: dado que el equipo Equinox Z utiliza tecnología de visión nocturna digital (no “Gen 1” analógico, etc.), la unidad no
puede dañarse si se expone a intensidades normales de luz en interiores o al aire libre; sin embargo, no debe orientarla directamente hacia el sol u otras fuentes
de luz muy brillantes para no sobrecargar el sensor.

Si la imagen es demasiado oscura para verla con facilidad (en el interior de la mayoría de los edificios o, al aire libre, donde no hay iluminación artificial),
pulse el botón IR (C) para encender la luz LED infrarroja. Si la imagen resulta demasiado brillante después de haber activado la iluminación IR (cuando
observa a corta distancia), pulse el botón IR una vez más para reducir la intensidad de la iluminación IR. Si la imagen continúa demasiado oscura después
de haber activado la iluminación IR, pulse el botón Brillo de la imagen (E) una o dos veces para tratar de reducir la velocidad de cuadro del sensor digital.
Si la imagen no es nítida, gire el tubo de la lente del objetivo (L) para cambiar el enfoque hasta ver el objeto con nitidez. No vuelva a ajustar el enfoque
del visor (ocular) (como en el paso 2), a menos que no vea nítidos los iconos en el visor.

apaGaDo autoMÁtIco
Si no presionó un botón en los últimos 10 minutos, la pantalla del visor reducirá en 50% la intensidad del brillo. Si no pulsa un botón antes de que
transcurra un minuto después de eso, la unidad se apagará para prolongar la duración de las baterías. Si pulsa rápidamente un botón antes de que
la unidad se apague, la intensidad del brillo de la pantalla regresará al nivel normal y se restablecerá el proceso de cuenta regresiva de apagado
sin cambiarse ninguno de los otros valores de configuración.

actIVaDo Y DESactIVaDo DE VISta DE IcoNoS
El usuario tiene la opción de determinar cómo se muestran los iconos en la pantalla LCD. Normalmente, cuando se pulsa un botón por primera vez,
se muestran TODOS los iconos durante 5 segundos, pero no se realiza ningún cambio en los valores de configuración de la unidad (los botones

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
La unidad no se enciende
1. Vuelva a colocar las baterías orientándolas con la polaridad correcta (terminales +/- ) (consulte la página de la Guía de piezas y controles).
2. Sustituya todas las baterías.

La imagen observada es demasiado brillante
La intensidad de la iluminación ambiente es excesiva o la luz IR está al 100% (modelo 6x: IR3, modelo 4.5x: IR2).

handgehaltenes Nachtsichtgerät mit hochwertiger Elektronik und Optik, in dem ein CMOS-Sensor zum Einsatz kommt und das hohe

DIGITALZOOM-TASTEN (B)
Über die “+”- und “-”-Tasten wird der Digitalzoomfaktor in einem Bereich von 1,0-fach bis 3,0-fach angepasst.
Die angezeigten Zahlen geben den Faktor an, mit dem die feste optische Vergrößerung des Gerätes multipliziert wird (abhängig vom Modell
4- oder 6-fach).
Maximale effektive Vergrößerung = 3,0 x 4,5 (13,5-fach) für das Modell 4.5 x 40 und 3,0 x 6,0 (18-fach) für das Modell 6 x 50.

Durch Drücken und Loslassen der “+”-Taste wird das Motiv langsam vergrößert – stufenweise um 0,1.

IR-TASTE (C)
Die “IR”-Taste dient zum Ein-/Ausschalten der Infrarot-LED-Beleuchtung (D) für den Einsatz bei schwachen Lichtverhältnissen. Sie wird auch
verwendet, um gegebenenfalls die Helligkeit zu verringern.

Drücken Sie die “IR”-Taste und halten Sie sie gedrückt, um die Infrarot-LED-Beleuchtung (D) einzuschalten, wenn aufgrund zu schwacher
Lichtverhältnisse keine gute Sicht gegeben ist. Beim ersten Einschalten ist die IR-Beleuchtung auf “100 %” eingestellt, und im Display ist “IR3”
(6x-Modell) oder “IR2” (4,5x-Modell) angegeben. Das Modell 6 x 50 weist drei IR-Helligkeitsstufen und das Modell 4,5 x 40 zwei IR-Helligkeitsstufen
auf.

Drücken Sie die “IR”-Taste ein zweites Mal, um die IR-LED-Helligkeitsstufe zu reduzieren, wenn Motive in der Nähe betrachtet werden, um eine
Blendwirkung oder “Überblendung” zu vermeiden. Im Display ist “IR2” (6x-Modell) oder “IR1” (4,5x-Modell) angegeben. Drücken Sie auf dem

Um die IR-LED-Beleuchtung auszuschalten, drücken Sie die “IR”-Taste noch ein weiteres Mal (“IR0”). Wenn das Umgebungslicht ausreichende
Sicht ohne die IR-LED ermöglicht (Vollmond, Straßenbeleuchtung usw.) und die IR-LED ausgeschaltet wird, verlängert sich die Lebensdauer und
Betriebszeit der Batterie. Drücken Sie die “IR”-Taste noch ein weiteres Mal, im Display wird unten kein IR-Wert angezeigt (“Tagesmodus”).
BILDHELLIGKEITSTASTE (E)
Die Bildhelligkeitstaste (Sonnensymbol) kann verwendet werden, um die Bildfrequenz für die digitale Bildverarbeitung zu ändern und ein
helleres Bild für die Anzeige oder Aufzeichnung zu erzeugen.
•
Durch wiederholtes Drücken der Bildhelligkeitstaste (Taste mit Sonnensymbol) werden die verfügbaren Bildfrequenzen durchlaufen – angefangen
mit der Standardbildfrequenz (schnellste Einstellung) bis zur letzten (langsamsten, hellsten) Bildfrequenzeinstellung. Durch erneutes Drücken
der Taste wird wieder die ursprüngliche schnellste Frequenz aufgerufen. Die standardmäßige (schnellste) Bildfrequenz im Nachtmodus beträgt
25 fps. Durch Drücken der Helligkeitstaste werden die anderen Bildfrequenzeinstellungen durchlaufen, wobei beim dritten Drücken wieder die
Standardeinstellung aufgerufen wird: 25 fps > 15 fps > 8 fps > 25 fps > usw.
•
Im Tagesmodus beträgt die standardmäßige Bildfrequenz 30 fps. Die Bildfrequenz kann im Tagesmodus nicht geändert werden, sodass das
Drücken der Helligkeitstaste keine Auswirkungen hat. Bei dem Display handelt es sich um ein Farb-LCD, und die Bilder werden bei Tageslicht oder
bei starker künstlicher Beleuchtung in Farbe angezeigt.
HINWEIS: Wenn im Nachtmodus niedrigere Bildfrequenzen als die Standardeinstellung von 25 fps verwendet werden, wird ein helleres Bild erzeugt,
jedoch kann die geringere Bildfrequenz dazu führen, dass bewegte Objekte weniger flüssig oder stabil erscheinen.
AUFZEICHNUNGSTASTE (F)
Mit der Aufzeichnungstaste werden – abhängig von der Einstellung des Foto-/Videoschalters – Standfotos oder Videos des angezeigten Bildes
erfasst. Die Fotos und/oder Videos werden auf einer (vom Benutzer bereitgestellten) microSD-Karte mit max. 32 GB gespeichert. Das Gerät
verfügt über keinen internen Speicher.
•
Wenn sich das Gerät im Fotomodus befindet, wird durch Drücken der Aufzeichnungstaste ein einzelnes Foto des angezeigten Bildes im
standardmäßigen JPG-Format bei einer Auflösung von 640 x 480 Pixel erfasst.
•
Wenn sich das Gerät im Videomodus befindet, wird durch Drücken der Aufzeichnungstaste eine neue Videoaufzeichnung gestartet. Das
Aufzeichnungssymbol im Display beginnt zu blinken und die Video-Zeitangabe nimmt dem Aufzeichnungsverlauf entsprechend zu. Videos werden
im AVI-Format bei einer Bildauflösung von 640 x 480 Pixel aufgezeichnet (VGA).

Um die Aufzeichnung im Videomodus zu beenden, drücken Sie die Aufzeichnungstaste erneut.

FOTO-/VIDEOSCHALTER (J)
Mit dem Foto-/Videoschalter unter der Schnittstellen-Verschlusskappe wird eingestellt, ob beim Drücken der Aufzeichnungstaste Standfotos
oder Videos aufgenommen werden.

Wenn Sie den Schalter auf “Foto” stellen, wird beim Drücken der Aufzeichnungstaste der Modus für die Aufzeichnung von Standfotos ausgewählt.
Wenn Sie den Schalter “Video” stellen, wird beim Drücken der Aufzeichnungstaste der Modus für die Aufzeichnung von Videos ausgewählt.
MICROSD-KARTENSTECKPLATZ (I): Damit die Aufzeichnungsfunktion verwendet werden kann, muss eine microSD-Karte (vom Benutzer bereitgestellt,
max. 32 GB) eingelegt werden. Wenn keine Karte eingelegt ist, wird nach dem Einschalten des Geräts auf dem Display die Meldung “No Card” (Keine
Karte) angezeigt.
USB-PORT (H): Schließen Sie ein USB-Kabel zwischen diesem Port und einem PC/Mac an, um Fotos/Videos herunterzuladen, ohne die Karte
herauszunehmen. Das Equinox Z ist kompatibel mit USB-Massenspeichern.
VIDEOAUSGANGSBUCHSE (G): Hier erfolgt die Ausgabe des im Gerätedisplay angezeigten “Live”-Bildes. Schließen Sie diese Buchse mit dem
enthaltenen Videokabel (3,5 mm von RCA) an einen Videomonitor oder -recorder an, um das Bild von einem entfernten Standpunkt aus zu betrachten
oder vom Nachtsichtgerät aufzuzeichnen.
EINRICHTUNG UND GRUNDLEGENDER BETRIEB
1) BattErIEN EINLEGEN
Drehen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung (K) gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, um sie zu entfernen, und legen Sie vier AA-Batterien wie angegeben in das
Batteriefach ein. Für maximale Betriebsdauer werden Lithium-AA-Batterien empfohlen, aber Alkali- oder wiederaufladbare NiMH-AA-Batterien können
auch verwendet werden. VERSCHIEDENE BATTERIETYPEN ODER NEUE UND ALTE BATTERIEN DÜRFEN NICHT ZUSAMMEN VERWENDET WERDEN.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien, wenn das Gerät mindestens einen Monat lang nicht verwendet wird.
2) oBJEKtIVDEcKEL ENtFErNEN, BILDScHÄrFE DES DISpLaYS (oKuLar) aN SEHStÄrKE aNpaSSEN
Drücken Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste (A), um das Gerät einzuschalten. Ein Symbol mit dem Batteriestand wird oben rechts im Bildschirm angezeigt. Während
Sie durch das Okular (M) auf den LCD-Display sehen, drehen Sie das Okular (Augenmuschel), bis die Symbole oder Ränder des Displays scharf angezeigt
werden. Entfernen Sie den Objektivdeckel von der Vorderseite der Objektivlinse (K). Hinweis: Da das Equinox Z digitale Nachtsichttechnologie verwendet
(keine analoge Technologie der ersten Generation usw.), kann das Gerät bei der Verwendung unter normalen Lichtverhältnissen im Innen- und Außenbereich

nicht beschädigt werden, aber es sollte nicht direkt auf die Sonne oder auf andere sehr helle Lichtquellen gerichtet werden, um eine Überladung des Sensors
zu vermeiden.

Wenn das Bild zu dunkel und nicht gut erkennbar ist (gewöhnlich der Fall in Innenbereichen und im Freien ohne künstliche Beleuchtung), drücken Sie
die IR-Taste (C), um die Infrarot-LED-Beleuchtung einzuschalten. Wenn das Bild nach Einschalten der IR-Beleuchtung zu hell ist (bei geringen Abständen),
drücken Sie die IR-Taste erneut, um eine niedrigere IR-Beleuchtungsstufe zu wählen. Wenn das Bild nach Einschalten der IR-Beleuchtung immer noch zu
dunkel ist, drücken Sie die Bildhelligkeitstaste (E) ein- oder zweimal, um die Bildfrequenz des Digitalsensors zu reduzieren. Wenn das Bild nicht scharf ist,
drehen Sie den Objektivtubus (L), um die Bildschärfe zu ändern, bis das Motiv scharf angezeigt wird. Passen Sie die (in Schritt 2 eingestellte) Bildschärfe
des Displays (Okular) nicht erneut an, außer wenn die Symbole im Display unscharf sind.
ANDERE BETRIEBSMODI/FUNKTIONEN

autoMatIScHES aBScHaLtEN
Wenn 10 Minuten lang keine Taste gedrückt wird, wird die Helligkeit des Displays um 50 % reduziert. Wenn anschließend innerhalb von einer
Minute keine Taste gedrückt wird, schaltet sich das Gerät aus, um die Lebensdauer der Batterie zu verlängern. Durch Drücken einer beliebigen
Taste vor dem Ausschalten des Geräts werden die volle Bildschirmhelligkeit wiederhergestellt und der Countdown bis zum automatischen
Ausschalten zurückgesetzt, ohne dass andere Einstellungen geändert werden.
•
autoMatIScHES auSBLENDEN DEr SYMBoLE EIN/auS
Der Benutzer kann steuern, wie die Symbole auf dem LCD-Bildschirm angezeigt werden. In der Regel werden ALLE Symbole 5 Sekunden lang
angezeigt, wenn eine beliebige Taste zum ersten Mal gedrückt wird. Dabei werden jedoch keine Einstellungen des Geräts geändert (eine
Ausnahme bilden die Aufzeichnungstaste und die IR-Taste: Wenn die Aufzeichnungstaste zum ersten Mal gedrückt wird, beginnt sofort die
Bildaufzeichnung, und wenn die IR-Taste zum ersten Mal gedrückt wird, wird die IR-Beleuchtung eingeschaltet). Wenn die gleiche Taste wieder
gedrückt wird, wird die entsprechende Funktion ausgeführt, und die Symbole bleiben nach dem letzten Tastendruck 10 Sekunden lang auf dem
Display sichtbar, bevor sie automatisch ausgeblendet werden. Um alle Symbole dauerhaft anzuzeigen, drücken Sie die IR-Taste und halten Sie sie
3 Sekunden lang gedrückt. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang, um die Symbolanzeige auf die automatische Einstellung zurückzusetzen (nach dem
Drücken einer Taste max. 10 Sekunden lang sichtbar).

DIGItaLZooM VErWENDEN
Drücken Sie die “+”-Taste (B), um zu vergrößern. Drücken Sie die “-”-Taste (B), um zu verkleinern. Drücken Sie die Taste und halten Sie sie gedrückt,
um schnell zu vergrößern bzw. zu verkleinern. Das Digitalzoom-Symbol links unten im Display gibt den Vergrößerungsfaktor an – von 1,0-fach bis
3,0-fach (in Schritten von 0,1).
auSWÄHLEN EINES paL- oDEr NtSc-VIDEoauSGaNGS
Die Videoausgangsbuchse (G) ist standardmäßig auf das NTSC-Format eingestellt (30 fps TV-Standard in den USA, Kanada, Mexico usw.). Um das
in anderen Ländern verwendete PAL-Videoausgangsformat (25 fps) auszuwählen, schließen Sie das Gerät zunächst an Ihr Videogerät an, halten
Sie anschließend die IR-Taste (C) und die Tasten zur Helligkeitsregelung (E) 5 Sekunden lang gedrückt und beobachten Sie dabei das Display durch
das Okular. Sobald die Anzeige auf„PAL“ wechselt, lassen Sie die Tasten los. Um wieder in das NTSC-Videoausgangsformat zu wechseln, halten Sie
beide Tasten 5 Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis auf dem Display „NTSC“ angezeigt wird, anschließend lassen Sie die Tasten wieder los. Hinweis: Die
Funktion „Automatisches Abschalten“ ist bei Verwendung der Videoausgangsbuchse ausgeschaltet.
PFLEGE UND WARTUNG
Ihr digitales Nachtsichtgerät Equinox Z von Bushnell ist auf einen langjährigen Einsatz ausgelegt. Damit Sie lange Freude an Ihrem digitalen Nachtsichtgerät haben, beachten Sie
stets die folgenden Warnungen und Vorsichtsmaßnahmen.

Halten Sie das Gerät von jeglichen Heizungen und Ventilatoren oder anderen Wärmequellen, direktem Sonnenlicht und Feuchtigkeit fern.
Das Gerät ist stets in seinem Etui an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort bei Temperaturen über 15° C (60° F) aufzubewahren. Nicht in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen aufbewahren. Nicht in der direkten Sonne oder bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit aufbewahren (über 70 %).
Reinigen Sie die optische Linse mit Reinigungsmitteln für Kameralinsen.
Reinigen Sie das Äußere des Geräts mit einem weichen, sauberen Tuch.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien, wenn das Gerät mehrere Wochen lang nicht verwendet wird.

Setzen Sie das Gerät niemals direktem Sonnenlicht oder Regen aus. Auch wenn das Gerät wasserabweisend ist, sollte es nicht über einen längeren Zeitraum
Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt und in Wasser eingetaucht werden.
.
Nach dem Gebrauch des Geräts beiTemperaturen unter Null mindestens 3 Stunden bei Zimmertemperatur warten, um Kondensatbildung auf den Linseninnenflächen
und Beschlagen infolge hoher Temperaturunterschiede zu vermeiden.
FEHLERBEHEBUNG
Gerät schaltet sich nicht ein
1. Legen Sie die Batterien erneut ein und achten Sie auf die richtige Polarität (+/-) (siehe Seite “Anleitung zu Teilen und Steuerelementen”).
2. Tauschen Sie alle Batterien aus.
3. Reinigen Sie das Batteriefach, besonders die Kontaktstellen.
Das beobachtete Objekt ist zu hell
Das Umgebungslicht ist zu hell und/oder die IR-Beleuchtung liegt bei 100 % (Modell 6x: IR3, Modell 4.5x: IR2).
1. Wenn Sie die IR-Beleuchtung verwenden, drücken Sie die IR-Taste (C), um eine niedrigere Beleuchtungsstufe auszuwählen (Modell 6x: IR2 oder IR1, Modell 4.5x: IR1).
2. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus oder platzieren Sie die Objektivlinsenabdeckung über der Linse.
Das beobachtete Motiv ist zu dunkel
Das Umgebungslicht ist nicht hell genug.
1. Drücken Sie die IR-Taste (C), um die Infrarot-Beleuchtung zu aktivieren.
2. Drücken Sie die Bildhelligkeitstaste (E), um im Digitalsensor eine niedrigere Bildfrequenz auszuwählen.
Bild ist verschwommen
1. Stellen Sie die Schärfe durch Anpassen der Objektivlinse (L) erneut ein. Falls erforderlich, stellen Sie den Dioptrienausgleich durch Drehen des Okulars (M) ein, bis die
Ränder der LCD-Anzeige scharf angezeigt werden (s. die Informationen in Bezug auf “Fokussieren” in dieser Anleitung).
2. Prüfen Sie die Oberfläche der Objektivlinse und des Okulars und reinigen Sie diese, wenn erforderlich.
3. Tauschen Sie die Batterien aus.
4. Aktivieren Sie bei schwachen Lichtverhältnissen die IR-Beleuchtung (C).
Das Bild verschwindet bzw. die Qualität verschlechtert sich
Helle Lichtquellen (z. B nachts eingeschaltete Straßenlaternen) können zu einer Einschränkung von Sichtbarkeit oder Kontrast führen.
1. Drehen Sie das Nachtsichtgerät von der Lichtquelle weg; die Sichtbarkeit wird augenblicklich wiederhergestellt.

oder zu ersetzen, unter der Voraussetzung, dass der Kunde das Produkt porto- und versandkostenfrei an uns zurückschickt. Diese Gewährleistung

Congratulazioni per aver acquistato Bushnell® Equinox Z™ Digital Night Vision. Costituito da componenti elettronici e ottici di elevata
qualità, Bushnell Equinox Z è un sistema digitale portatile per la visione notturna che utilizza un sensore CMOS a raggi infrarossi e
offre una risoluzione a copertura totale e immagini di qualità eccezionale. I trattamenti ottici antiriflesso multistrato aumentano la
trasmissione della luce e riducono l’abbagliamento. I monoculari Equinox Z Digital Night Vision 4.5x40 e 6x50 sono talmente versatili
da adattarsi a diverse applicazioni quali caccia, campeggio, navigazione/pesca, attività di scavo, paintball, osservazione degli astri,
operazioni di salvataggio/recupero, sorveglianza di sicurezza, applicazione della legge, videoregistrazioni in condizioni luminose in
costante cambiamento, dall’alba all’oscurità assoluta. Oltre alla visione notturna del soggetto, consentono di registrare la relativa
immagine come foto fissa o videoclip e di archiviarla in una micro scheda SD. Le unità Equinox Z Digital Night Vision 4.5x40 e
6x50 includono inoltre una porta di uscita video (G) (attivabile dall’utente con standard NTSC o PAL) che consente il collegamento
all’apparecchiatura video o informatica per la registrazione o il monitoraggio “in diretta”. Una guida di montaggio accessoria
incorporata (N) consente di collegare un illuminatore IR più potente o altri accessori compatibili.
MODALITÀ DI FUNZIONAMENTO DEGLI APPARECCHI DIGITALI PER LA VISIONE NOTTURNA
I prodotti digitali per la visione notturna Bushnell raccolgono la luce esistente attraverso la lente dell’obiettivo. L’immagine viene
quindi elaborata mediante un modulo sensore CMOS digitale e trasferita nel display a micro cristalli liquidi (LCD). Le immagini
visualizzate nel display LCD vengono ingrandite 4.5 o 6 volte (in base al modello). I modelli Equinox Z Digital Night Vision sono dotati
di un potente illuminatore IR (a infrarossi) incorporato (D) che consente la visione nitida in ambienti con condizioni di luce scarsa o
persino in totale oscurità.

I numeri visualizzati rappresentano un fattore di moltiplicazione rispetto all’ingrandimento ottico fisso dell’unità (x 4 o x 6, a seconda del
modello).
Ingrandimento effettivo massimo = 3,0 x 4,5 (x 13,5) per il modello da 4.5x40 e 3,0 x 6,0 (x 18) per il modello 6x50.

PULSANTE IR (C)
Il pulsante “IR” consente di attivare/disattivare l’illuminazione LED a infrarossi (D) per il funzionamento in condizioni di luce scarsa. Inoltre,
viene utilizzato per ridurre la relativa luminosità se necessario.

Premere e rilasciare il pulsante“IR”per attivare la luce LED a infrarossi (D) quando i livelli di luce ambientale sono troppo bassi per fornire una buona
qualità di visualizzazione. Alla prima attivazione, l’illuminazione IR risulterà impostata al “100%” e il display indicherà “IR3” (modello 6x) o “IR2”
(modello 4.5x). Il modello 6x50 dispone di 3 impostazioni di luminosità IR; il modello 4.5x40 dispone di 2 impostazioni di luminosità IR.
Premere nuovamente il pulsante “IR” per ridurre il livello di luminosità del LED IR durante la visualizzazione di soggetti a distanza ravvicinata
per evitare l’abbagliamento o l’eliminazione dell’immagine. Il display indicherà “IR2” (modello 6x) o “IR1” (modello 4.5x). Se necessario, premere
nuovamente il pulsante “IR” nel modello 6x per ridurre la luminosità del LED IR fino alla relativa impostazione minima, indicata da “IR1” nel display.
Premere ancora una volta il pulsante “IR” per disattivare la luce LED IR (“IR0”). La disattivazione del LED IR, quando i livelli di luce ambientale sono

sufficienti (luna piena, vicinanza a lampioni, ecc.), consente di estendere la durata della batteria e il tempo di esecuzione. Premere ancora una volta
il pulsante “IR” per passare alla modalità “Day” (Giorno). Non viene visualizzato alcun valore IR nella parte inferiore centrale del display.
PULSANTE LUMINOSITÀ IMMAGINE (E)
È possibile utilizzare il pulsante Luminosità immagine (icona Sole) per modificare la frequenza di fotogrammi per l’acquisizione di immagini
digitali, producendo immagini più luminose per la visualizzazione o la registrazione.
•
Premendo ripetutamente il pulsante Luminosità (icona Sole) è possibile scorrere le frequenze di fotogrammi disponibili a partire da quella
predefinita (più rapida) fino a raggiungere l’ultima (più lenta, massima luminosità). Dopodiché, la pressione successiva del pulsante consente di
tornare alla frequenza più rapida originale. La frequenza di fotogrammi più rapida predefinita in modalità Notte è 25 fps. La pressione del pulsante
Luminosità consente di scorrere le altre impostazioni di frequenza di fotogrammi (la terza pressione consente di tornare nuovamente al valore
predefinito): 25 fps>15 fps>8 fps>25 fps>ecc.
•
In modalità Giorno, la frequenza di fotogrammi predefinita è 30 fps. In modalità Giorno, non è possibile modificare la frequenza di fotogrammi,
pertanto la pressione del pulsante Luminosità non ha alcun effetto. Il display è di tipo LCD a colori e le immagini vengono visualizzate a colori
durante l’uso diurno o in condizioni di forte illuminazione artificiale.
NOTA: la selezione di frequenze di fotogrammi inferiori al valore predefinito di 25 fps in modalità Notte consente di ottenere immagini più luminose;
tuttavia, la riduzione della frequenza di fotogrammi può causare una visualizzazione meno nitida o stabile di soggetti in movimento.
PULSANTE REGISTRA (F)
Il pulsante Registra viene utilizzato per acquisire foto fisse o video dell’immagine visualizzata, a seconda dell’impostazione dell’interruttore
Foto/Video. Le foto e/o i video vengono archiviati in una scheda micro SD (fornita dall’utente), con capacità massima di 32 GB. L’unità non
dispone di alcuna memoria interna.
•
Quando l’unità è in modalità Foto, la pressione del pulsante di registrazione consente di scattare una singola foto dell’immagine visualizzata, in
formato .jpg standard, a una risoluzione di 640x480 pixel.
•
Quando l’unità è in modalità Video, la pressione del pulsante di registrazione consente di avviare una nuova registrazione video. L’icona della
registrazione inizia a lampeggiare nel display e il tempo del video aumenta con l’avanzamento della registrazione. Il video viene acquisito in
formato .avi a una risoluzione di 640x480 pixel per fotogramma (VGA).
•
Per interrompere la registrazione in modalità Video, premere nuovamente il pulsante Registra.

L’interruttore a scorrimento Foto/Video sotto lo sportellino del coperchio dell’interfaccia consente di determinare se acquisire foto fisse o video
durante l’uso della funzione di registrazione.

Impostare l’interruttore nella posizione “Foto” per selezionare la modalità di registrazione di foto fisse quando viene premuto il pulsante Registra.
Impostare l’interruttore nella posizione “Video” per selezionare la modalità di registrazione di video quando viene premuto il pulsante Registra.
ALLOGGIAMENTO DELLA SCHEDA MICRO SD (I): per utilizzare la funzione di registrazione, è necessario inserire una scheda micro SD (fornita
dall’utente, con capacità massima di 32 GB). Se non viene inserita alcuna scheda, all’accensione dell’unità viene visualizzato il messaggio “Nessuna
scheda”.
PORTA USB (H): collegare un cavo USB tra questa porta e un PC/computer Mac per scaricare foto/video senza rimuovere la scheda. L’unità Equinox Z è
compatibile con i dispositivi di archiviazione di massa USB.
JACK DI USCITA VIDEO (G): l’immagine “in diretta” visualizzata nel display dell’unità, è emessa qui. Collegare il cavo video in dotazione (3,5 mm/1/8 di
poll. RCA) tra questo jack e un monitor video o registratore per visualizzare in remoto o registrare l’immagine dall’unità di visione notturna.
IMPOSTAZIONE E OPERAZIONI DI BASE
1) carIcaMENto DELLE BattErIE
Ruotare il coperchio del vano batterie (K) in senso antiorario per rimuoverlo, quindi inserire 4 batterie AA come indicato all’interno del vano batterie. Per
ottenere il tempo di esecuzione massimo, si consiglia l’uso di batterie AA al litio, ma è possibile utilizzare anche batterie AA NiMh alcaline o ricaricabili.
NON MESCOLARE TIPI DIVERSI DI BATTERIE, NÉ BATTERIE NUOVE E VECCHIE. Se tra un uso e l’altro l’unità resta inutilizzata per un mese o più, rimuovere
le batterie.
2) rIMoZIoNE DEL copErcHIo DELLa LENtE, rEGoLaZIoNE DELLa MESSa a Fuoco DEL DISpLaY (ocuLarE) pEr La VISIoNE DESIDErata
Premere il pulsante di accensione (A) per accendere l’unità. Nell’angolo superiore destro dello schermo viene visualizzata l’icona che indica il livello della
batteria. Guardando attraverso l’oculare (M) verso lo schermo del display LCD, ruotare l’oculare (il paraocchi) finché le icone del display o i bordi dello
schermo non risultano nitidi ai propri occhi. Rimuovere il coperchio della lente dalla parte anteriore della lente dell’obiettivo (K). Nota: poiché l’unità
Equinox Z utilizza una tecnologia digitale per la visione notturna (non analogica di prima generazione, ecc.), non può essere danneggiata dall’esposizione a
normali livelli di luce interna o esterna. Tuttavia, per evitare il sovraccaricamento del sensore, non puntarla direttamente verso il sole o verso altre sorgenti
luminose molto intense.

Se l’immagine è troppo scura per essere visualizzata facilmente (in quasi tutti gli interni degli edifici e all’aperto se lontana dalla luce artificiale), premere
il pulsante IR (C) per attivare la luce LED a infrarossi. Se l’immagine risulta troppo luminosa dopo l’attivazione della luce IR (durante la visualizzazione
a distanza ravvicinata), premere nuovamente il pulsante IR per ridurre il livello di luce IR. Se l’immagine risulta ancora troppo scura dopo l’attivazione
della luce IR, provare a premere una o due volte il pulsante Luminosità immagine (E) per ridurre la frequenza di fotogrammi del sensore digitale. Se
l’immagine non è nitida, ruotare il barilotto della lente dell’obiettivo (L) per modificare la messa a fuoco finché il soggetto non risulta nitido. Evitare di
regolare nuovamente la messa a fuoco del display (oculare) (come impostata nel passaggio 2), a meno che le icone del display non risultino poco nitide.
ALTRE OPERAZIONI/FUNZIONI

SpEGNIMENto autoMatIco
Se non viene premuto alcun pulsante per 10 minuti, il livello di luminosità dello schermo del display viene ridotto al 50%. Successivamente, se
non viene premuto alcun pulsante entro un minuto, l’unità viene spenta al fine di estendere la durata della batteria. Premendo rapidamente un
pulsante in qualsiasi momento prima dello spegnimento dell’unità, viene ripristinato il livello massimo di luminosità, nonché il processo di conto
alla rovescia per lo spegnimento automatico, senza modificare le altre impostazioni.
•
attIVaZIoNE/DISattIVaZIoNE DELLa FuNZIoNE DI SoVrappoSIZIoNE DELLE IcoNE
È possibile controllare la modalità di visualizzazione delle icone nello schermo LCD. Normalmente, alla prima pressione di qualsiasi pulsante,
TUTTE le icone vengono visualizzate per 5 secondi, ma non viene apportata alcuna modifica alle impostazioni dell’unità (i pulsanti Registra e IR
costituiscono un’eccezione poiché l’acquisizione dell’immagine inizia immediatamente dopo la prima pressione del pulsante “Registra” e la luce IR
viene attivata alla prima pressione del pulsante “IR”). Se viene premuto nuovamente lo stesso pulsante, quest’ultimo esegue la relativa funzione
e le icone del display rimangono visibili per 10 secondi dopo l’ultima pressione, prima di venire disattivate automaticamente. Per visualizzare
costantemente tutte le icone, tenere premuto il pulsante IR per 3 secondi. Ripetere l’operazione per riattivare la funzione di sovrapposizione
automatica delle icone (visibili solo per max. 10 s dopo la pressione di un pulsante).

uSo DELLo ZooM DIGItaLE
Premere il pulsante “+” (B) per eseguire lo zoom avanti. Premere il pulsante “-” (B) per eseguire lo zoom indietro. Tenere premuto il pulsante
per eseguire rapidamente lo zoom avanti/indietro. L’icona dello zoom digitale nell’angolo inferiore sinistro del display indica il fattore di
ingrandimento, da x 1,0 a x 3,0 (con incrementi di x 0,1).

Il jack di uscita video (G) è impostato su NTSC (standard TV a 30 fotogrammi al secondo diffuso in Stati Uniti, Canada, Messico, ecc.) secondo la
configurazione predefinita. Per selezionare l’uscita video con codifica PAL (25 fotogrammi al secondo) secondo quanto utilizzato in altri Paesi,
prima di tutto collegare l’unità al dispositivo video, successivamente mantenere premuti i pulsanti IR (C) e Luminosità Immagine (E) per 5
secondi, guardando lo schermo attraverso l’oculare. Quando lo schermo visualizza “PAL”, rilasciare i pulsanti. Per tornare al formato di uscita video
NTSC, mantenere premuti entrambi i pulsanti per 5 secondi fino alla visualizzazione di “NTSC” sullo schermo, dunque rilasciare i pulsanti. Nota: La
funzione “Spegnimento automatico” viene disabilitata quando si utilizza il jack di uscita video.
CURA E MANUTENZIONE
Il dispositivo Bushnell Equinox Z Digital Night Vision è stato progettato per garantire molti anni di funzionamento affidabile. Per assicurare le massime prestazioni, seguire sempre
le avvertenze e le precauzioni riportate di seguito.

Tenere il dispositivo lontano da sfiati del riscaldamento e dell’aria condizionata o da altri dispositivi di riscaldamento, dalla luce solare diretta e dall’umidità.
Conservare sempre l’unità all’interno della relativa custodia in uno spazio asciutto e ben ventilato, con temperatura superiore a +15 °C (60 °F). Non conservarla in
prossimità di dispositivi di riscaldamento. Non conservarla in prossimità della luce diretta del sole o in condizioni di elevata umidità (superiore al 70%).
Pulire la lente ottica con strumenti di pulizia specifici per lenti di fotocamere.
Pulire l’esterno del dispositivo con un panno morbido e pulito.
Se il dispositivo non verrà utilizzato per diverse settimane, rimuovere le batterie.

AVVERTENZE E PRECAUZIONI

Evitare che l’unità subisca cadute o urti violenti. Il dispositivo, sebbene sia stato progettato per l’uso in condizioni esterne rigide, incorpora un circuito digitale
sofisticato che potrebbe venire danneggiato in casi estremi di uso improprio.

RISOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI
L’unità non si accende
1. Reinstallare le batterie, assicurandosi che l’orientamento della polarità (terminali +/-) sia corretto (fare riferimento alla pagina “Guida ai
componenti e ai controlli”).
2. Sostituire tutte le batterie.
3. Pulire il vano batterie, in particolare i punti di contatto.
L’immagine osservata risulta troppo luminosa
Il livello di luce ambientale è troppo elevato e/o la luce IR è al livello del 100% (modello 6x: IR3, modello 4.5x: IR2).
1. Se si utilizza la luce IR, premere il pulsante IR (C) per selezionare un livello di illuminazione più basso (modello 6x: IR2 o IR1, modello 4.5x: IR1).
2. Spegnere l’unità oppure posizionare il coperchio della lente dell’obiettivo sulla lente.
L’immagine osservata risulta troppo scura
Il livello di luce ambientale è troppo basso.
1. Premere il pulsante IR (C) per attivare la luce a infrarossi.
2. Premere il pulsante Luminosità immagine (E) per selezionare una frequenza di fotogrammi più bassa nel sensore digitale.
L’immagine risulta sfocata
1. Mettere nuovamente a fuoco regolando la lente dell’obiettivo (L). Regolare il livello di diottrie laddove necessario, ruotando l’oculare (M) finché
i bordi del display LCD non risultano nitidi (vedere la sezione “Messa a fuoco” nel presente manuale di istruzioni).
2. Verificare le condizioni della superficie della lente dell’obiettivo e dell’oculare, quindi effettuare la pulizia laddove necessario.
