BUSHNELL MARINE porro prism binoculars are designed for the boating enthusiast in particular, but  
are also ideal for any demanding environment or application where rock-solid durability is required.  
The new model 137507 features an illuminated digital compass built into the viewing optics, with  
direction and bearing indicators tracking as you view. Bearings are called out in easy-to-read precise 1°  
increments, ideal for navigation and locating objects accurately. The digital compass delivers reliable  
accuracy anywhere in the world (both Northern and Southern hemispheres). A range-finding scale  
allows the viewer to estimate the range to objects of a known size. The BUSHNELL MARINE is fully  
waterproof/fogproof and shock protected with suregrip rubber armoring, and has roll-down eyecups for  
use with sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. The optics feature multi-coated lenses for excellent  
light transmission, along with a UV reducing lens coating and internal UV filter to prevent potentially  
harmful ultraviolet light (wavelengths below 400nm) from reaching your eyes. The BUSHNELL MARINE  
comes complete with rugged nylon case and neck strap. Built to last, with a lifetime limited warranty.  
ADJUSTING THE BINOCULARS  
First, adjust the width (interpupillary distance) of your binoculars with the central hinge, so that when  
you look through them, you see a single circular image. Then focus the binocular for one eye at a time  
by turning the oculars (eyepieces) until you see an equally sharp image with each eye. If more than one  
person will be using the binoculars, you should mark the left and right eyepieces for your own vision to  
permit quick readjustment.  
ABOUT THE DIGITAL COMPASS  
The built-in compass is a precision unit with a digital display which  
indicates bearing in degrees, corresponding to the direction the  
binoculars are pointed, as well as the compass point heading. When  
using the compass, always keep in mind the local variation between

rectangular button on the top left side of the binocular. Red illumination allows the compass display to  
be read even in low light, and power automatically turns off after one minute to prolong battery life. If the  
display does not come on, or the illumination becomes dim, replace the batteries (see below).  
Before using the compass for the first time, it is necessary to calibrate the compass, using the  
following procedure:  
COMPASS CALIBRATION PROCEDURE  
This calibration procedure will ensure that the displayed readings are accurate for the area in which the  
compass will be used. The calibration should be done outdoors if possible, and with the binocular kept  
at least 7 feet away from any large metal objects. Facing due north is not required for calibration.  
For best results, the compass should be calibrated again:  
1) After any significant change in your location since the last calibration  
2) After changing the battery, especially if a different brand is used  
3) If the binocular was in direct contact with a large metal object (for example a steel table) while  
the power was on (note that the power automatically shuts off after one minute, so this should not  
be common)  
TO CALIBRATE THE COMPASS: After turning on the compass by pressing the power button on the  
top right side of the binocular, rotate the entire binocular clockwise or counter-clockwise once in a full  
circle (360 degrees) along each of these three axes, in this order, returning to the starting position at  
the end of each step (see the diagrams on the following page):  
Step 1: Pitch (rotate 1 full cycle “end over end”, in a vertical plane up/down)  
Step 2: Yaw (rotate 1 full cycle “spinning around”, in a horizontal plane left/right)

READING THE COMPASS  
After completing the last rotational cycle, the compass is calibrated, and will display “0” degrees when  
the binocular is pointing straight North (magnetic north), 180 degrees when pointed due South, etc.  
The chart below shows the range of degrees corresponding to each of the 8 segments in the circle  
to the left of the digital display, which represent common compass headings. For example, when the  
compass indicates anywhere from 338 to 22 degrees, the North segment will “switch off” (become  
clear) indicating that the binocular is pointed in a northerly direction.

HOW TO USE THE RETICLE  
The vertical scale (reticle) visible through the left half of the binocular, above the compass display,  
allows you to calculate distance to an object if you know its height, or to calculate the height of an  
object if you know its distance from you. Each mark on the vertical scale has a value of 5 MIL (1 Mil is  
equivalent to an angle that can determine an object one meter in height at a distance of 1000 meters).  
Therefore, if a navigation chart gives the height of an object, by sighting on it and counting the number  
of MILs, you can determine how far away it is. Here are the two formulas (note use of metric units):  
1) To measure distance when the height is known:

HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES  
To change the battery, use a coin to remove the battery compartment cover by turning it counter-  
clockwise, until the “unlocked” icon and white dot on the cover line up with the dot on the  
binocular. Set the cover aside and remove the battery. Note the “+” and “-“ polarity markings on  
the battery. Be sure to insert the new battery correctly, in the same direction as shown on the  
sticker inside the battery compartment, with the “+” (positive) terminal going in first so it is at the  
bottom of the compartment, and the “-“ negative end facing the battery cover. Replace the battery  
cover with the “unlocked” icon and two dots lined up again, then turn it (with fingers or a coin)  
until the “locked” icon lines up with the dot on the binocular. The battery should be taken out if the  
binoculars will not be used for a long time. Batteries left in the binocular for prolonged periods of  
time without being used may leak and cause damage to the binocular. After replacing the battery,  
be sure to follow the calibration procedure for the digital compass.

IMPORTANT NOTE  
After exposure to saltwater or spray, flush the binoculars thoroughly with fresh water  
and wipe dry. Avoid extended exposure to bright sunlight and severe temperature  
fluctuations. For example, if the binocular has been used under very cold conditions,  
bringing it into a heated environment could cause condensation build up. Allow time  
for gradual change in temperature.

Les jumelles à prisme porro BUSHNELL MARINE sont conçues tout particulièrement pour la navigation, mais  
répondent aussi aux exigences environnementales ou aux utilisations durant lesquels un matériel solide est exigé. Le  
nouveau modèle 137507 se caractérise par un compas digital éclairé inséré dans les optiques, avec indications de  
direction et de relèvement indiquant ce que vous voyez. Les relèvements sont faciles à lire et précis à 1°, idéals pour  
la navigation et une localisation précise d’objets. Le compas digital est précis et fiable partout dans le monde (aussi  
bien l’hémisphère Nord que l’hémisphère Sud). Une échelle télémétrique permet à l’utilisateur d’estimer la distance  
à laquelle se trouvent des objets de taille connue. Les BUSHNELL MARINE sont entièrement étanches/résistantes  
au brouillard et protégées des chocs avec une protection caoutchoutée antidérapante et possèdent des œilletons  
rabattables pour une utilisation avec des lunettes de vue ou de soleil. Les optiques ont des lentilles multicouches pour  
une excellente transmission de la lumière, avec une lentille enduite réduisant les UV et un filtre interne UV évitant à  
la lumière ultraviolette potentiellement dangereuse (longueurs d’onde inferieures à 400 nm) d’atteindre vos yeux. Les

REGLAGE DES JUMELLES  
Tout d’abord, réglez l’écartement (distance inter pupillaire) de vos jumelles avec l’articulation centrale,  
de telle manière qu’en regardant dans vos jumelles vous obteniez une seule image circulaire. Ensuite  
mettez au point un œil à la fois en tournant les oculaires (œilletons) jusqu’à ce que vous obteniez  
une image aussi nette pour chaque œil. Si plusieurs personnes sont amenées à utiliser les jumelles,  
repérez les graduations des oculaires droit et gauche de votre vision pour un réglage rapide.  
A PROPOS DU COMPAS DIGITAL  
Le compas intégré est un outil de précision avec une indication  
digitale qui indique le relèvement en degrés, correspondant à la  
direction dans laquelle les jumelles sont pointées, aussi le cap  
compas. Lors de l’utilisation, gardez toujours à l’esprit qu’il existe des  
variations entre le nord magnétique et le nord vrai. Pour mettre en

située sur le sommet du coté gauche des jumelles. Un éclairage rouge permet à l’indication de  
compas d’être lue même quand la lumière est faible, et l’alimentation est automatiquement coupée  
après une minute pour prolonger la durée de vie de la batterie. Si l’indication ne s’allume pas, ou si  
l’éclairage ne s’allume faiblement, remplacez les batteries (voir ci dessus).  
Avant d’utiliser le compas pour la première fois, il est nécessaire de calibrer le compas, en  
utilisant la procédure suivante:  
PROCEDURE DE CALIBRATION DU COMPAS  
Cette procédure de calibration assurera la précision des données affichées en fonction du lieu  
d’utilisation du compas. La calibration doit être effectuée si possible dehors, et avec les jumelles à au  
moins 2 mètres (7 pieds) de tout objet métallique. Il n’est pas necessaire de se positionner face au  
nord pour la calibration.  
Pour de meilleurs résultats, le compas doit être de nouveau calibré:  
1) Apres chaque changement conséquent d’emplacement depuis votre dernière calibration  
2) Après un changement de pile, notamment si une marque différente est utilisée  
3) Si les jumelles étaient en contact direct avec un objet métallique volumineux (par exemple une  
table en fer) pendant qu’elles étaient en marche (notez que l’alimentation se coupe automatiquement  
au bout d’une minute, donc ce n’est pas si fréquent)  
POUR CALIBRER LE COMPAS: Après avoir mis en marche le compas en appuyant sur la touche «  
power » située sur le coté droit des jumelles, effectuez une rotation complète en faisant un cercle (360  
degrés) des jumelles dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre (ou le sens inverse) et ceci sur les trois  
axes, dans cet ordre, en revenant à la position de départ à la fin de chaque étape (voir les schémas  
sur la page suivantes) :  
Etape 1 : Tangage (effectuez une rotation complète, dans un plane vertical haut/bas)  
Etape 2 : Lacet (effectuez une rotation complète, dans un plan horizontal gauche/droite)  
Etape 3: Roulis (effectuez une rotation complète comme indiqué autour de l’axe central des

LECTURE DU COMPAS  
Apres avoir terminé la dernière rotation, le compas est calibré et indiquera “0” degrés quand les  
jumelles seront pointées vers le Nord (nord magnétique), 180 degrés quand pointées vers le Sud,  
etc. Le tableau ci-dessous montre la plage des degrés correspondant à chacun des 8 segments dans  
un cercle à gauche de l’indication digitale, qui représentent les caps compas usuels. Par exemple,  
quand le compas indique une valeur entre 338 et 22 degrés, le segment Nord “s’éteindra” (deviendra  
transparent) indiquant que les jumelles sont pointées en direction du nord.

COMMENT UTILISER LE RETICLE  
L’échelle verticale (réticle), visible à travers la moitié gauche de la jumelle, au-dessus de l’indication de  
compas, vous permet de calculer la distance d’un objet si vous connaissez sa hauteur, ou de calculer  
la hauteur d’un objet si vous connaissez à quelle distance il se trouve de vous. Chaque trait de l’échelle  
verticale a une valeur de 5 MIL (1 Mil est équivalent à un angle qui peut déterminer un objet d’un mètre  
de hauteur à une distance de 1000 mètres). De plus, si une carte de navigation donne la hauteur d’un  
objet en le visualisant et en comptant le nombre de Mil, vous pouvez déterminer son éloignement. Voici  
deux formules (notez que l’on utilise les mesures métriques)  
1) Pour mesurer la distance quand la hauteur est connue:

COMMENT CHANGER LES PILES  
Pour changer les piles, utilisez une pièce pour enlever le couvercle du compartiment batterie en  
le tournant dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce que l’icône « unlocked  
(déverrouillé) » et le point blanc sur le dessus ne soient alignés avec le point sur les jumelles.  
Mettre le couvercle de coté et remplacer les piles. Remarquez que le “+” et le “-“ marquent  
les polarités de la pile. Assurez-vous d’insérer correctement la nouvelle pile, dans la direction  
indiquée par le sticker situé à l’intérieur du compartiment batterie, avec le pole « + » (positif) en  
premier, donc en bas du compartiment, et le « -« (négatif) en face du couvercle batterie. Remettre  
le couvercle batterie avec l’icone « unlocked » (déverrouillé) et deux points alignés de nouveau,  
ensuite tournez-le (avec les doigts ou une pièce de monnaie) jusqu’à ce que l’icône « locked  
» (verrouillé) soit alignée avec le point sur les jumelles. La pile doit être retirée en cas de non  
utilisation prolongée. Les piles laissées dans les jumelles pendant une période prolongée sans  
utilisation peuvent couler et endommager les jumelles. Après le remplacement de la batterie,  
assurez-vous de suivre la procédure de calibration concernant le compas digital.

NOTE IMPORTANTE  
Apres une exposition à l’eau sale ou aux embruns, rincer abondamment les jumelles  
avec de l’eau fraiche puis essuyer et sécher. Eviter toute exposition prolongée à  
une vive lumière solaire et aux fluctuations de température. Par exemple, si les  
jumelles ont été utilisées dans des conditions de grand froid, les emmener dans un  
environnement chaud peut provoquer de la condensation. Prenez du temps pour un  
changement graduel de température.

requiera una durabilidad sólida. El nuevo modelo 137507 presenta una brújula digital iluminada montada  
sobre los lentes de visión, con indicadores de dirección y orientación que rastrean mientras usted observa.  
Las orientaciones vienen en incrementos de 1° fáciles de leer, ideales para la navegación y para una precisa  
localización de objetos. La brújula digital conlleva una exactitud fidedigna en cualquier lugar del mundo (tanto  
en el hemisferio Norte como en el hemisferio Sur). Una escala de localización de rangos permite al observador  
estimar el rango de objetos de un tamaño conocido. El BUSHNELL MARINE es completamente impermeable

protectores de ojo deslizantes para usar con gafas de sol y gafas graduadas. Los ópticos presentan lentes

AJUSTAR LOS BINOCULARES  
Ajuste primero el ancho, (la distancia interpupilar) de sus binoculares con el eje central, de manera que  
cuando mire a través de ellos, vea una imagen circular única. Enfoque entonces el binocular para cada ojo  
a un tiempo girando los oculares hasta que vea una imagen igualmente nítida con cada ojo. Si más de una  
persona utiliza los binoculares, debería marcar los oculares derecho e izquierdo para su propia visión y  
permitir un rápido reajuste.  
SOBRE LA BRÚJULA DIGITAL  
La brújula incluida es una unidad de precisión con pantalla digital que  
indica la orientación en grados, correspondiendo a la dirección a la  
que los binoculares están apuntando, así como la cabeza del compás.  
Cuando use la brújula, mantenga presente siempre la variación local

brújula, presione el botón rectangular de la parte alta izquierda del binocular. La iluminación roja permite  
que pueda leer la pantalla de la brújula incluso con poca luz y se apaga automáticamente después de un  
minuto para prolongar la vida de la batería. Si la pantalla no se enciende, o la iluminacion se vuelve tenue,  
remplace las pilas (vea más abajo).  
Antes de usar la brújula por primera vez, necesita calibrarla, usando el procedimiento siguiente:  
PROCEDIMIENTO DE CALIBRACIÓN DE LA BRÚJULA  
Este procedimiento de calibración asegurará que la lectura sea precisa para el área en el que se vaya  
a usar la brújula. La calibración debería hacerse en el exterior si es posible y con el binocular a unos 2  
metros de distancia de cualquier objeto grande de metal. No se requiere ponerse en dirección norte para  
hacer la calibración. Para obtener unos mejores resultados, la brújula debería calibrarse de nuevo:  
1) Después de cualquier cambio significativo en su ubicación desde la última calibración  
2) Después de cambiar la batería, especialmente si usa otra marca diferente  
3) Si el binocular estuvo con contacto directo con algún objeto grande de metal(por ejemplo una mesa  
de acero) mientras la corriente estaba encendida (fíjese que la corriente se apaga automáticamente  
después de un minuto, así que esto no debería ser común)  
CALIBRAR LA BRÚJULA: Después de encender la brújula presionando el botón de encendido en la  
parte de arriba de la derecha del binocular, gire el binocular completamente en el sentido de las agujas del  
reloj o en sentido contrario una vez hasta conseguir un círculo completo (360 grados) a lo largo de cada  
uno de estos tres ejes, en este orden, volviendo a la posición de comienzo al final de cada paso (vea los  
diagramas en la página siguiente):

LEER LA BRÚJULA  
Después de completar el último ciclo rotacional, la brújula está calibrada

cuando esté apuntando al Sur, etc. El gráfico siguiente muestra el rango de grados correspondiente a cada  
uno de los 8 segmentos en el círculo a la izquierda de la pantalla digital, que representa encabezamientos  
comunes de la brújula. Por ejemplo, cuando la brújula indica algún punto entre 338 y 22 grados, el segmento  
Norte se “apagará” (se pone más claro) indicando que el binocular apunta a una dirección hacia el norte.

CÓMO USAR EL RETÍCULO  
La escala vertical (retículo) visible a través de la mitad izquierda del binocular, más arriba de la pantalla  
de la brújula, le permite calcular la distancia a un objeto si usted conoce su altura, o calcular la altura  
de un objeto si conoce a qué distancia está de usted. Cada marca en la escala vertical tiene un valor  
de 5 MIL (1 Mil es equivalente a un ángulo que puede determinar un objeto un metro en altura a  
una distancia de 1000 metros). Por lo tanto, si la carta de navegación nos da la altura de un objeto,  
observándolo y contando el número de MILs, puede determinar lo lejos que está. Aquí están las dos  
fórmulas (nota uso de unidades métricas):

COMO CAMBIAR LAS BATERÍAS  
Para cambiar la batería use una moneda para quitar la tapa del compartimento girándola en  
dirección contraria a la de las agujas del reloj, hasta que el ícono “desbloqueado” y el punto blanco  
sobre la tapa esté alineado con el punto sobre el binocular. Ponga la tapa a un lado y saque la  
batería. Fíjese en las marcas de las polaridades “+” y “-” sobre la batería. Asegúrese de insertar  
la nueva batería correctamente, en la misma dirección que se muestra en la pegatina dentro del  
compartimento de la batería, con el terminal “+” (positivo) de manera que quede en la parte de  
abajo del compartimento, y el final “-“ negativo frente a la tapa de la batería. Reemplace la tapa  
de la batería con el ícono “desbloqueado” y los dos puntos alineados otra vez, después gírelo  
(con los dedos o una moneda) hasta que el ícono “desbloqueado” quede alineado con el punto  
sobre el binocular. La batería debería sacarse del los binoculares si no se van a usar durante  
mucho tiempo. Las baterías que se dejen en los binoculares durante períodos prolongados de  
tiempo sin usarse pueden gotear y dañar los binoculares. Después de reemplazar la batería,  
asegúrese de seguir el procedimiento de calibración para la brújula digital.

Después de exponerlos al agua salada o a pulverización, enjuage los binoculares  
abundantemente con agua fresca y séquelos. Evite la exposición prolongada a la luz  
solar brillante y a fluctuaciones severas de temperatura. Por ejemplo, si el binocular

BUSHNELL MARINE Porroprisma-Ferngläser wurden speziell für Bootsportfreunde geschaffen, sind  
jedoch auch ideal für andere anspruchsvolle Umgebungen undAnwendungen mit hohenAnforderungen  
an die Gerätehaltbarkeit geeignet. Das neue Modell 137507 verfügt über einen in die Sichtoptik  
eingebauten beleuchteten Digitalkompass mit während des Durchschauens aktivierter Richtungs-  
und Peilungsanzeiger. Die Peilungsdaten sind in leicht ablesbaren 1-Grad-Stufen dargestellt, ideal  
zum präzisen Navigieren und Lokalisieren von Objekten. Der Digitalkompass bietet zuverlässige  
Präzision überall auf der Erde (sowohl nördliche als auch südliche Halbkugel). Mit Hilfe einer  
Entfernungsmessskala kann der Benutzer die Entfernung von Objekten bekannter Größe ermitteln.  
Das BUSHNELL MARINE ist vollständig wasserdicht/nebeldicht und durch einen Anti-Rutsch-  
Gummiüberzug gegen Erschütterungen geschützt, und verfügt über herabrollbare Augenmuscheln für  
eine Verwendung mit Sonnenbrillen und Sehhilfebrillen. Die Optik ist mit mehrfach beschichteten Linsen  
von exzellenter Lichtdurchlässigkeit ausgerüstet, sowie mit einer UV-Schutz-Linsenbeschichtung und

DAS FERNGLAS EINSTELLEN  
Stellen Sie zunächst mit Hilfe des mittleren Hebels die Breite (Pupillendistanz) Ihres Fernglases so  
ein, dass Sie beim Durchschauen ein einziges, kreisförmiges Bild  
erkennen können. Fokussieren Sie das Fernglas dann für jeweils  
ein Auge, indem Sie die Okulare so lange drehen, bis Sie mit jedem  
Auge ein Bild gleicher Schärfe erkennen können. Wird das Fernglas  
von mehr als einer Person verwendet, versehen Sie beide Okulare  
mit Markierungen für Ihre eigene Sehstärke, um das Fernglas rasch  
wieder daran anpassen zu können.

DER DIGITALKOMPASS  
Der eingebaute Kompass ist ein Präzisionsmodul mit Digitalanzeige, die entsprechend der  
Ausrichtung des Fernglases die Peilung in Grad angibt und die Kompasspunktpeilung zeigt.  
Denken Sie bei der Verwendung des Kompasses stets an die lokale Abweichung zwischen dem  
magnetischen und dem geografischen Nordpol. Zum Einschalten der Kompassanzeige den  
rechteckigen Knopf auf der linken Oberseite des Fernglases drücken. Dank der roten Beleuchtung  
lässt sich die Kompassanzeige auch bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen ablesen;um die Batterie zu  
schonen, schaltet sich die Anzeige nach einer Minute automatisch ab. Sollte sich die Anzeige nicht  
einschalten oder die Beleuchtung schwächer werden, müssen die Batterien ersetzt werden (siehe  
unten). Vor dem ersten Einsatz muss der Kompass folgendermaßen geeicht werden:  
KOMPASSEICHUNG  
Die Eichung garantiert, dass dieAnzeigewerte genau auf den Einsatzort des Kompasses abgestimmt  
sind. Die Eichung sollte möglichst im Freien erfolgen, wobei das Fernglas mindestens 220 cm  
von großen Metallgegenständen entfernt gehalten werden sollte. Zum Eichen ist keine genaue  
Ausrichtung nach Norden nötig. Zur Gewährleistung einer einwandfreien Funktion sollte der  
Kompass zudem in folgenden Fällen neu geeicht werden:  
1) Nach einer wesentlichen Veränderung Ihres Standorts seit der letzten Eichung  
2) Nach einem Batteriewechsel, insbesondere falls eine Batterie eines anderen Herstellers benutzt  
wird  
3) Falls das Fernglas in eingeschaltetem Zustand in direkten Kontakt mit einem großen  
Metallgegenstand (beispielsweise einem Stahltisch) gelangt ist (dies sollte allerdings nicht allzu  
häufig vorkommen, da sich das Fernglas nach einer Minute automatisch abschaltet)  
DEN KOMPASS EICHEN : Nach dem Einschalten des Kompasses durch Drücken des Einschaltknopfes  
auf der rechten Oberseite des Fernglases das gesamte Fernglas entlang diesen drei Achsen in der  
vorgegebenen Reihenfolge in einer vollständigen Kreisbewegung (um 360 Grad) im Uhrzeigersinn  
oder dagegen drehen, und nach Abschluss der einzelnen Schritte jeweils in die Ausgangsposition  
zurückkehren (siehe Darstellungen auf der nächsten Seite):

DEN KOMPASS ABLESEN  
Nach dem letzten Drehvorgang ist der Kompass fertig geeicht und zeigt “0” Grad an, wenn das Fernglas  
genau nach Norden (auf den magnetischen Nordpol) gerichtet ist, 180 Grad bei Ausrichtung genau

VERWENDUNG DER ZIELMARKE  
Mit der vertikalen Skala (Zielmarke), die durch die linke Hälfte des Fernglases hindurch oberhalb der  
Kompassanzeige sichtbar ist, können Sie die Entfernung bis zu einem Objekt berechnen, sofern Sie  
dessen Höhe kennen, oder die Höhe eines Objekts berechnen, wenn Sie wissen, wie weit es von Ihnen  
entfernt ist. Jede Markierung auf der vertikalen Skala entspricht einem Wert von 5 MIL (1 Mil entspricht  
einem Winkel, der ein Objekt von einem Meter Höhe in einer Entfernung von 1000 Metern bestimmen  
kann). Wenn also eine Navigationskarte die Höhe eines Objekts angibt, können Sie herausfinden, wie  
weit es entfernt ist, indem Sie es durch das Fernglas hindurch anschauen und dabei die MILs zählen.

BATTERIEWECHSEL  
Verwenden Sie eine Münze, um den Verschluss des Batteriefachs zu öffnen, indem Sie diesen  
entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis das “Entriegelt”-Symbol und der weiße Punkte auf dem  
Verschluss mit dem Punkt am Fernglas übereinstimmen. Legen Sie den Verschluss zur Seite und  
entnehmen Sie die Batterie. Achten Sie auf die “+”- und “-”-Markierungen auf der Batterie. Führen  
Sie die neue Batterie unbedingt korrekt in derselben Richtung ein, wie sie auf dem Aufkleber im  
Inneren des Batteriefachs angezeigt ist, nämlich mit dem “+”-Pol (dem positiven Ende) zuvorderst,  
so dass dieses sich am Boden des Fachs befindet, während der “-”-Pol (das negative Ende)  
dem Batterieverschluss zugewandt ist. Setzen Sie den Verschluss wieder auf, wobei wieder das  
“Entriegelt”-Symbol und die zwei Punkte in Übereinstimmung zu bringen sind, und drehen ihn  
dann (mit den Fingern oder einer Münze), bis das Symbol “Entriegelt” mit dem Punkt am Fernglas  
übereinstimmt. Wird das Fernglas über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt, sollte die Batterie  
entnommen werden. Batterien, die über längere Zeit ungenutzt im Fernglas verbleiben, können  
undicht werden und auf diese Weise das Fernglas beschädigen. Nach dem Batteriewechsel  
sollten Sie unbedingt den Eichvorgang für den Digitalkompass wiederholen.

WICHTIGER HINWEIS  
War das Fernglas Salzwasser oder Spritzwasser ausgesetzt, ist es anschließend  
gründlich mit Leitungswasser abzuspülen und abzutrocknen. Das Fernglas  
sollte möglichst nicht für längere Zeit starkem Sonnelicht oder starken  
Temperaturschwankungen ausgesetzt werden. Wurde das Fernglas beispielsweise  
in einer sehr kalten Umgebung verwendet, kann es beim Wechsel in eine geheizte  
Umgebung zu Kondensationsbildung kommen. Lassen Sie sich Zeit für einen

Il binocolo BUSHNELL MARINE ai prismi di porro è pensato appositamente per gli appassionati di nautica, ma è  
anche ideale per gli ambienti o gli utilizzi più impegnativi, che richiedono uno strumento dalla durata e dalla robustezza  
eccellenti. Il nuovo modello 137507 è dotato di una bussola digitale illuminata incorporata negli oculari, con indicatori  
di rilevamento che seguono la traiettoria. I rilevamenti sono indicati in incrementi esatti di 1°, e ciò rende lo strumento  
l’ideale per la navigazione e l’accurata localizzazione di oggetti. La bussola digitale offre dati accurati e affidabili in  
qualunque parte del mondo (sia nell’emisfero nord che nell’emisfero sud). Una scala per la valutazione della distanza  
permette all’osservatore di stimare la distanza di oggetti le cui dimensioni siano note. Il binocolo BUSHNELL MARINE  
è interamente impermeabile/antiappannamento, con un rivestimento in gomma che funge da protezione antiurto e  
permette una presa più salda, e conchiglie oculari rovesciabili che ne consentono l’uso con occhiali da sole o da vista.  
Gli elementi ottici con trattamento multistrato consentono un’eccellente trasmissione della luce; le lenti con protezione  
UV e filtro interno UV proteggono gli occhi dalla luce dei raggi ultravioletti nocivi (lunghezze d’onda al di sotto dei 400

REGOLAZIONE DEL BINOCOLO  
Innanzitutto, regolare la larghezza (distanza interpupillare) del binocolo per mezzo della ghiera centrale  
di messa a fuoco, fino a che non si veda un’unico campo circolare. Quindi, mettere a fuoco un oculare  
alla volta, ruotando gli oculari stessi fino a che le immagini visibili in entrambi non siano egualmente  
nitide. Se il binocolo è usato da più di una persona, una volta effettuata la messa a fuoco degli oculari  
secondo la propria visione, è opportuno marcare tale impostazioni, per poterle poi rapidamente  
ripristinare.  
INFORMAZIONI SULLA BUSSOLA DIGITALE  
La bussola digitale incorporata è un’unità di precisione dotata di  
display digitale che indica il rilevamento in gradi, corrispondente  
alla direzione in cui il binocolo è puntato, e la direzione dei punti  
cardinali. Nell’usare la bussola, tenere sempre presente le variazioni  
locali tra il nord magnetico e il nord reale. Per accendere il display

del binocolo. L’illuminazione rossa consente la lettura del display della bussola anche in condizioni  
di scarsa illuminazione, e il dispositivo si spegne automaticamente per far sì che le batterie durino  
più a lungo. Se il display non appare o l’illuminazione si affievolisce, sostituire le batterie (vedere le  
istruzioni riportate di seguito). Prima di usare la bussola per la prima volta, è necessario tararla  
seguendo questa procedura:  
PROCEDURA DI TARATURA DELLA BUSSOLA  
La procedura di taratura garantirà che le letture visualizzate siano accurate per l’area in cui la bussola  
verrà usata. Se possibile, effettuare la calibrazione in esterni, e tenendo il binocolo lontano almeno 2  
metri da oggetti metallici di grandi dimensioni. Per effettuare la taratura, non è necessario essere rivolti  
al nord. Per dei risultati ottimali, la bussola dovrebbe essere calibrata di nuovo:  
1) Se, dopo l’ultima taratura, si verificano dei cambiamenti significativi nel vostro luogo  
2) Una volta cambiata la batteria, specialmente se la nuova batteria è di marca diversa  
3) Se il binocolo è stato a diretto contatto di un oggetto metallico di grandi dimensioni (ad esempio  
un tavolo d’acciaio) mentre era acceso ( da notare che, dopo un minuto, lo strumento si spegne  
automaticamente, perciò questa eventualità è molto remota)  
TARATURA DELLA BUSSOLA: Azionare la bussola premendo il tasto di accensione sul binocolo in  
alto a destra; ruotare il binocolo in senso orario o antiorario facendogli compiere un giro completo (360  
gradi) lungo ognuna di queste tre assi, in quest’ordine, tornando alla posizione iniziale al termine di  
ogni giro (vedere il grafico alla pagina seguente):

COME USARE IL RETICOLO  
La scala verticale (reticolo) visibile attraverso la metà sinistra del binocolo, al di sopra del display  
della bussola, permette di calcolare la distanza di un oggetto conoscendone l’altezza, o l’altezza  
conoscendone la distanza. Ogni tacca sulla scala verticale corrisponde a 5 Mil (1 Mil equivale ad un  
angolo che determina un oggetto di un metro di altezza ad una distanza di 1000 metri). Perciò, se una  
carta nautica fornisce l’altezza di un oggetto, contando il numero di MIL si può determinare la distanza  
dell’oggetto stesso. DI seguito sono riportate le due formule (notare l’uso di unità metriche):

SOSTITUZIONE DELLE BATTERIE  
Rimuovere il coperchio del vano batterie facendolo ruotare in senso antiorario con l’aiuto di  
una moneta, finché l’icona “sbloccato” e il punto bianco sul coperchio non risultino allineati  
con il punto sul binocolo. Togliere il coperchio e rimuovere la batteria. Notare i segni “+” e “-  
“ sulla batteria, corrispondenti alle due polarità. Assicurarsi di inserire correttamente la nuova  
pila, posizionandola come indicato sull’etichetta all’interno del vano, con la polarità “+” (positiva)  
rivolta verso il fondo del vano, e quella negativa “-” rivolta verso l’alto. Riposizione il coperchio  
della batteria con l’icona “ sbloccato” e i due punti nuovamente allineati, quindi girarlo (usando  
le dita o una moneta) finché l’icona “bloccato” risulti allineata con il punto sul binocolo. In caso di  
inutilizzo prolungato, si consiglia di togliere la batteria dal binocolo. Infatti, se lo strumento non  
viene usato per lunghi periodi, le batterie possono avere perdite e danneggiare lo strumento.  
Dopo aver sostituito la batteria, assicurarsi di seguire la procedura di taratura della bussola  
digitale.

Se il binocolo viene esposto all’acqua salata o a spruzzi, sciacquarlo bene in  
acqua dolce e asciugarlo. Evitare l’esposizione prolungata alla luce solare intensa  
e ai bruschi sbalzi di temperatura. Ad esempio, se il binocolo è stato utilizzato in  
condizioni climatiche molto fredde, portarlo in un ambiente con temperature elevate

O binóculos BUSHNELL MARINE com prisma Porro foram projetados para os fãs de náutica, mas também são ideais  
para qualquer tipo de aplicação ou ambiente onde é necessária altíssima durabilidade. O novo modelo 137507 possui  
uma bússola digital com iluminação integrada nas lentes, com indicadores de direção e posição que acompanham a  
visão. As marcações são de fácil leitura e são posicionadas em incrementos de 1°, ideal para navegação e localização  
de objetos com precisão. A bússola digital fornece precisão de alta confiabilidade em qualquer lugar do mundo (em  
ambos os hemisférios, norte e sul). A escala de distância permite que o usuário faça uma estimativa da distância para  
objetos de tamanho conhecido. O BUSHNELL MARINE é totalmente à prova d’água, anti-embaçante e protegido  
contra choques pelo revestimento de borracha. Ele possui adaptador para óculos de sol e de grau. O binóculo possui  
lentes de múltiplo revestimento para melhorar a transmissão da luz, junto com o revestimento redutor de raios UV e o  
filtro interno UV, para prevenir que a luz ultravioleta nociva entre em contato com seus olhos (comprimentos de ondas  
abaixo de 400nm). O BUSHNELL MARINE vem acompanhado de um estojo de nylon e uma alça para pescoço.

AJUSTANDO OS BINÓCULOS  
Primeiro, ajuste a largura (distância interna das pupilas) do binóculo com a articulação central, de  
forma que ao olhar por eles você veja uma única imagem circular. Ajuste o foco do binóculo, um olho  
por vez, direcionando as oculares até que você veja uma imagem nítida com cada olho. Se mais  
de uma pessoa utilizar o binóculo, você deve marcar as oculares para a posição da sua visão, para  
permitir o ajuste rápido.  
SOBRE A BÚSSOLA DIGITAL  
A bússola integrada é uma unidade de precisão com um display  
digital, que indica as marcações em graus, correspondendo à  
direção em que o binóculo é apontado e também a direção da  
bússola. Ao utilizar a bússola, mantenha sempre a variação do  
local entre o norte magnético e o norte verdadeiro. Para ligar o  
display da bússola, pressione o botão retangular no lado superior  
esquerdo do binóculo. A iluminação vermelha permite que o display

da bússola seja lido mesmo em condições de pouca luz e a energia desliga automaticamente após  
um minuto para prolongar a vida da bateria. Se o display não acender ou a iluminação tornar-  
se fraca, substitua as baterias (veja abaixo). Antes de utilizar a bússola pela primeira vez, é  
necessário fazer a calibragem, utilizando o procedimento a seguir:  
PROCEDIMENTO DE CALIBRAGEM DA BÚSSOLA  
Este procedimento de calibragem irá garantir que as leituras exibidas são precisas para a área na qual  
a bússola será utilizada. A calibragem deve ser feita em local aberto, se possível, e com o binóculo  
afastado 7 pés no mínimo de quaisquer objetos de metal grande. Para calibrar não é necessário estar  
virado para o norte. Para obter melhores resultados, a bússola deve ser calibrada novamente:  
1) Após qualquer mudança grande na sua localização desde a última calibragem  
2) Após substituir a bateria, especialmente se outra marca é utilizada  
3) Se o binóculo esteve em contato direto com um objeto grande de metal (por exemplo, uma  
mesa de aço), enquanto a energia estava ligada (lembre-se de que a energia é desligada após um  
minuto, logo isso não deve ocorrer com freqüência)  
PARA CALIBRAR A BÚSSOLA: Após ligar a bússola pressionando o botão de energia no lado  
superior direito do binóculo, rotacione o binóculo inteiro no sentido horário ou anti-horário uma vez,  
girando 360 graus nos três eixos, desta forma, retornando à posição inicial ao final de cada etapa  
(consulte os diagramas da página a seguir):  
Etapa 1: Inclinar (girar 1 ciclo completo “volta sobre volta”, em uma superfície vertical para cima/  
para baixo)  
Etapa 2: Guinar (girar 1 ciclo completo “dando a volta”, em uma superfície horizontal esquerda/  
direita)  
Etapa 3: Rolar (girar 1 ciclo completo como exibido junto ao eixo central do binóculo)

LEITURA DA BÚSSOLA  
Após completar o ciclo rotacional, a bússola é calibrada e exibe 0 grau quando o binóculo estiver  
apontando para o Norte (norte magnético) e 180 graus quando estiver apontando para o Sul, etc. O  
gráfico abaixo exibe o intervalo de graus correspondentes a cada um dos 8 segmentos localizados  
no círculo a esquerda do display digital, o que representa leituras comuns da bússola. Por exemplo,  
quando a bússola indicar uma posição entre 388 e 22 graus, o segmento Norte irá ser “desligado”  
(tornar-se vazio), indicando que o binóculo está apontado para a direção norte.

COMO UTILIZAR A RETÍCULA  
A escala vertical (retícula) visível através da metade esquerda do binóculo, acima do display da  
bússola, permite que você calcule a distância de um objeto se você souber sua altura, ou calcule a  
altura do objeto se você souber a distância. Cada marca na escala vertical possui o valor de 5 MIL (1  
Mil é equivalente a um ângulo que pode determinar um objeto com um metro de altura a uma distância  
de 1000 metros). Logo, se um gráfico de navegação fornecer a altura de um objeto, você poderá  
determinar a distância do objeto ao olhar para o objeto pelo binóculo e contar os MILs. A seguir, duas  
fórmulas (atenção para a utilização de sistema métrico):

COMO SUBSTITUIR AS BATERIAS  
Para substituir a bateria, utilize uma moeda para remover a tampa do compartimento da bateria,  
girando-a no sentido anti-horário, até que o ícone de “destravado” o ponto branco da tampa  
estejam alinhados com o ponto de referência do binóculo. Separe a tampa e remova a bateria.  
Verifique as indicações de polaridade “+” e “-“ da bateria. Certifique-se de inserir a bateria nova  
corretamente, na mesma direção exibida na etiqueta dentro do compartimento da bateria, com  
o pólo “+” (positivo) virado para dentro do compartimento e o pólo “-“ virado para a tampa da  
bateria. Coloque novamente a tampa da bateria com o ícone “destravado” e os dois pontos  
alinhados novamente, gire (com os dedos ou uma moeda) até que o ícone “travado” esteja  
alinhado com o ponto de referência no binóculo. A bateria deve ser removida se o binóculo não  
for utilizado por longos períodos de tempo. Baterias deixadas no binóculo por longos períodos  
de tempo sem utilização podem vazar e causar danos ao binóculo. Após substituir a bateria,  
certifique-se de executar o procedimento de calibragem da bússola digital.

Após exposição à água salgada ou maresia, lave bem o binóculo com água doce
